Most of the things were very good like the welcoming, most of the staff, breakfast and the team at the restaurant.
But the location was so hard to go up and down over the hill and main street, and the taxi plan was so unprofessional due to service and range they gave me and later it was totally different.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Basilica cistern which is great. They have a wonderful restaurant (Micheline star). A recommendation to the hotel is to use a milder cleaning / mopping solution. We had a hard time adjusting to the strong odor from the one being used. Overall I am happy with my stay as it served the purpose.

My Wife, who is mobility impaired, and I just spent six nights at this hotel. The staff could have not been more accommodating. They took us back and forth to all of the Mosques, museums, restaurants, shops, parking garages in their golf cart. They arranged excursions, which were perfect. Hotel standards, including food, were top level. They checked on us constantly. Location was perfect. Our thanks to this very professional staff and management.

The hotel is ideally located on a quiet, mostly car-free cobble stone street directly behind Haggia Sophia.

You’ll hear the calls to prayer throughout the day (and early morning) and can walk to many of Istanbul’s main sights.
Just blocks from Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque and a lovely park with fountains and vendors selling roasted corn, bread and tea.

Our room was very clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. We were welcomed at the front desk by kind and efficient staff and enjoyed the delicious and bountiful breakfast buffet both mornings of our stay.
Lots of great dining options nearby and trams connecting the city are accessible just a block away.

We arranged a taxi to the airport through the hotel desk and they shuttled us in their “buggy” to the waiting van a few blocks away.
Highly recommend this hotel!

Nice sized room with comfortable bed cleaned daily. Staff really helpful and friendly who drove us to the taxi rank when we were leaving as traffic was unable to stop outside…because we were a stone’s throw from the Hagia Sofia!! So well positioned for that and all the other main attractions. Would definitely recommend and will return in the future.

They also were a great assistance in arranging a very early transportation from Istanbul hotel ottoman to the airport for a flight to Sofia Bulgaria and did a wonderful job including packing me a lunch since I would miss breakfast that day. I really appreciate the support and I think this is a great place to stay.

I’m not sure where to begin. The rooms are in disrepair. I’m not sure what’s going on. There has been no renovation or anything in decades. The furniture, walls, bathroom were just in poor condition. We stayed here over 10 years ago, and do not remember this condition. The pillows felt like they were a decade old, like hard as a rock. If you are desiring location, a nice restaurant and great customer service, but don’t mind poor room conditions, then this is the place for you. I’m doubting we will ever stay here again.

Location is right next to Hagia Sofia. Room we had was fairly spacious with a balcony and huge bathrooms. Really loved the large shower and turkish style bath with the marble sink and seats in the shower. Bed was comfortable. And staff was super friendly.

HOWEVER
- The location doesn’t seem to be accessible for Taxis. Ours dropped us off at the bottom of the hill because of the tram. We had to walk up hill with our luggage on cobblestone and observed other guests arriving do the same to get to the hotel. So book proper Airport transfers that will get you right at the hotel’s door step.
- The hotel is old and needs updating. The rooms are clean but tired. Like the carpet in the room has old stains. The air conditioners are also old and underpowered for the room size and need replacing.

We arrived in the evening and its been a very hot week (its summer time and there is a heat wave) the room we had would not cool and we could not sleep. Around 11pm we requested to maybe borrow an electric fan if available but they did not have one. After 3 hours we requested for a different room otherwise we were going to check out and book somewhere else. luckily they had another room available hoping it would be better. The new room took about 6 hours to cool but after that it was okay.

This hotel is a great find - an absolute gem! We loved our stay there, and it's in the perfect location to0.
I'm disabled and have to use a mobility scooter or a walking frame. The hotel is not totally step free, but the staff bent over backwards to help. There was always someone on hand to lift the scooter up the steps, or connect the charger etc. They were also happy for us to have our breakfast in the main (ground floor) restaurant (by the window!), rather than climb the flight of stairs to the normal breakfast room. We were struck also by how helpful - and happy - all the staff were. We noticed a couple of ladies working in the kitchen preparing some food and they were chatting together happily, and even dancing on the spot a little, while still carrying out their work at a commendable speed!
Altogether 10 out of 10 in all aspects!

The location was excellent in terms of closeness to the Hagia Sophia and other sites. However, our room and bathroom were very outdated. Also, it was right by the tramway tracks, so the train noise and calls to prayer from the Hagia Sophia made it tough to sleep through the night.

Best stay ever!

It was the best choice I made. It was 8 of us! The hotel is located in a great location, you can walk to various facilities nearby. The service was very nice, especially Sevgi who served us at breakfast, she is an incredibly beautiful soul. Breakfast with relaxing music and a beautiful view. And the almond soup we had for lunch is worth recommending. If I ever come back to Istanbul, I will definitely come back to this hotel.

A quiet sanctuary a short stroll away from the key sights of the old town.Perfectly located behind the Aghia Sofia mosque. Attentive front desk and waiting staff. Authentic Ottoman dining experience in hotel restaurant. Complimentary breakfast. Early morning call to prayer from the mosque quite audible but wasn't a problem for us. We booked a larger front facing room on fourth floor which had a bathroom and a jaccuzi in the bedroom. We liked having the extra space. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Wonderful stay at the Ottoman hotel!!

Staying at Ottoman Imperial hotel was the best decision we made for our trip. The staff there was very accommodating and so warm and friendly. The breakfast was always delicious and the staff never hesitated to assist us with our needs. I went there with my elderly parents and they had a wonderful time. The beds were so comfortable and never had any issues with the wifi. The location cannot be beat, it was right across The Hague Sophia, 5 min walk to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace 8 min walk and so close to so many restaurants and shops. The guys at the small shop next to the hotel were also very friendly and helped us book a cruise and helped us navigate the area and made great recommendations on places to visit. There was also wonderful spa called Navitas spa right next door. The hotel itself has a Michelin star restaurant that had amazing food and such a great staff. I highly recommend staying at the ottoman hotel.

I loved this place. The staff was so kind and helpful. The location next to the Koptapi Palce, Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque was awesome. The restaurant was amazing! Wonderful food, service and view! Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the dinner was amazing! Flavorful and fresh. They have ancient recipes for some dishes that were incredible — hummus with currants and cinnamon, for example. It was a lovely place to eat. Better than other restaurants I found in Istanbul.

The staff were fabulous!! Incredibly helpful and friendly. The eating area was gorgeous…light and airy. The Breakfast was delicious. Location perfect.
The rooms…if you’re on the 5th floor on the team side of the hotel you will literally feel like you’re sleeping next to the traffic. Super noisy. After one afternoon we asked if we could be moved to a quieter room
And the hotel staff made it happen. If you’re a light sleeper (or any sort of sleeper!) try and make sure you have a room

Bathroom is in terrible condition and very tight. There’s not much space around the toilet. Toilet is too close to the wall. I had to sit sideways. Rooms are not sounds proof. I can hear the next rooms noise. The noise or prayers from Hagia Sofia and blue mosque speakers prayers are very annoying all day and throughout the night.

This charming accommodation in the heart of the city offered the perfect location for our 3-night stay. We were close to everything we wanted to see and do, and the hustle and bustle of the city added to the vibrant atmosphere.

The staff was so incredibly welcoming and helpful. We had an unexpected layover in Istanbul and decided to make the most of it by visiting the major historic spots and this hotel made it SO simple. We were able to walk to shop and eat very easily between the Hagia Sophia, blue Mosque and Basilica cistern with no problem. The restaurant at the hotel was unreal. The food was absolutely delicious and again, so hospitable. 10/10 recommend this absolute hidden gem.

Ottoman Imperial is a gem. It is a quiet location and easy walking to everything you want to see in Sultanahmet. The staff is some of the most helpful and kind I have encountered. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The Michelin starred restaurant is not to be missed whether you stay or not.

We never got a chance to eat supper there but it was a Michelin award winning restaurant. Prices looked reasonable. Excellent location close to local transport, restaurants, shops and mosques. Best location for seeing the sites!

Great hotel for sightseeing in Istanbul. Location is perfect - very close to the major sites in Old Town. Getting into and out of Old Town is not easy with the traffic, so it's really nice to stay within walking distance to so many of the sites. And the staff is excellent, especially the front desk staff. They were very helpful in making suggestions and reservations. The rooms and breakfast are modest, but the hotel is a great value in my opinion. I highly recommend this hotel.
