This was the second time I’ve stayed at the Arden City. This hotel is a gem in Istanbul. Great location-walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Covered Grand Bazaar. The staff are excellent, professional, polite and efficient. The food and view from the rooftop restaurant is amazing. All in all a marvelous place to stay.

My wife and I had an amazing stay. Staff was very friendly, especially Ozcur, he went above and beyond for us. Rooms were nice and the breakfast was okay. The location is excellent. Very close to all of the major tourist sites to go see. The view from the rooftop restaurant is truly amazing as well.

Nicely located boutique hotel near main attractions (in the Old Town, Sultanahmet) and transportation. Everything is within walking distance, 5-10 min. Hotel staff did their best to keep us comfortable and fed, the breakfast servers were excellent, the food was very good and healthy. Would definitely return.

Great position with views over Hagia Sophia and the Bosporus. Staff were all exceptional and pleasant. Our room although small , was well equipped. The room was unfortunately overlooking the road and the cars constantly blew horns every evening till late.
The bed was a little hard for our liking, but the sheets and pillows were really good quality and bed was made every day.
Breakfast on the roof terrace was limited , but the views made it worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay ! Road noise excluded.

With a few small improvements it could be sensational.

Everything was great, especially the hotel's location and the attitude of the hotel staff. Only during our stay, they were installing sensors and fire alarm buttons, which was annoying due to the sound of the workers' drills (maybe this will have stopped during your stay), but since the hotel's location was great, I wasn't bothered by the noise pollution at all.

Staff is unique! Excellent attention. Totally supportive. Since breakfast, attention from Mine. Ozgur at the reception area who guides and provide support in a great manner. Cleaning is excellent! The hotel is close to transportation and very good places to eat. Also, the hotel is close to Basilic cistern, Hagya Sophia and Blue Mosque. I feel as at home with all attention from staff. Extremely small room, noisy, not clean enough, very little facilities for the price you pay,
Shower was blocked, fridge did not work for our whole stay, we complaint and it was not resolved, very basic breakfast, just one type of squash in breakfast and no juice, just whole fruits in the counter and one small plate of cut oranges with no selection at all.
Will not recommend it for the money you pay.
the only good thing was the location and a staff member at reception EMRF was very hellpful and polite.

Only down side to this hotel is the location
I thought rooms were sound proof but the balcony doors were not sealed they seemed a bit old and not fitted, if it was maybe the noise wouldn’t have been so bad.
It was in the heart of the busy tourist area, when booking I thought we were a bit far but it was still busy area. traffic noise, car horns blaring, this would go on until early hours and then people going in and out of rooms slamming doors. I did not sleep for more than 3 hours a night, which were disturbed by some sort of noise on my 4 night stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and staff are great.

For guest looking for a peaceful night sleep need to be away from the blue mosque or Sofia by at least a mile or so.

Otherwise no complaints with the hotel.

9th stay in the Sultanahment over 20 years: ARDEN was the best hotel I've stayed in. Perfect location,. Aslan and staff were attentive. Very clean. Great breakfast with view. Room was dark and quiet. Lobby is great to end the day with a tea and view of street life. Most perfect hotel I've stayed in. One complaint ... the bed was too hard.

Its a nice hotel and hardly 10 minutes walk to main attractions in Sultanahmet .plenty of dinning options around. Staff during breakfast specially Mehmet was amazing. Also young waiter Ege was very helpful. Managers lack communication and good customer services skills though.
Condition of property is average and not too clean . Cleaner is around every morning but i guess she just makes the bed and nothing else.
Overall a good experience but they can improve on cleaning.

A nice hotel that’s closely located to many of Istanbul’s attractions. Plus shops, the tram, restaurants, and baths are all nearby too. The staff were pleasant and helpful. And although my room was small it was clean and functional. The rooftop restaurant was certainly a bonus and the food was good too. The included breakfast was basic but the surrounding views made up for it. If I ever return to Istanbul, I’d stay here again.

The manager is kind enough to proactively offer us the upgrade on the room. It is nice to have big room in old city for our week stay. The terrance restaurant is great spot for breakfast and sunrise. The chef was great and prepare various cakes and cookie for breakfast.

Staff were very helpful, attentive and pleasant. The hotel was very clean and generally comfortable. Its location in the centre of Istanbul was very convenient for many of the attractions of the city, but inevitably a little noisy. The breakfasts were rather strange to us, but we were able to select enough to eat. The lack of conventional bed sheets made sleeping somewhat uncomfortable for one of us. Space in the bathroom was limited. The lift, although working, was very slow. The air conditioning was effective and easy to control. The prices charged for meals etc. were reasonable. We would stay there again, which is the best recommendation.

The hotel is very welcoming, we felt very safe and comfortable. It's spotlessly clean, the staff were lovely and very helpful. We slept well on comfy beds, had a great view and had all the amenities we needed. The restaurant had an amazing view and delicious food I highly recommend. The hotel organised airport transfers which was efficiently done and very helpful. Reception staff were knowledgeable and able to recommend and organise excellent trips. The area in which the hotel is located is good for transport, for sightseeing, for shopping and felt very safe. We would definitely stay again.

Great location which is very close and convenient to a few of the landmarks and tourist attractions. Easy access to public transports.
The front desk staff are friendly, helpful and acknowledged.
Enjoy the best morning and evening view from the terrace restaurant of Istanbul.
The decoration of room is very out dated, on 80’s and 90’s. The hairdryer is not powerful enough and the handle got very hot after a while, very poor wall insulation that you could hear the conversation from the room next door.
The electric power cut off completely when the fob leaves the holder, even the fridge in the room so not able to store anything while no one attending.
The mattress is too soft from preference. For cleanliness, clean and tidy when checked in. But a few minus during the stay, either bin not get empty or towels not got replaced.

3-4 min walk to away Sofia. Was able to pray salah as many times as I could in Aya sofia. Food options could have been better. Had a very nice stay here with husband. Upon arrival was upgraded to a room with a balcony on sixth floor which had views of Hagia Sofia.
Location of hotel is excellent- two to three minute walk to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque and five to ten minute walk to Grand Bazaar. There is also a tram station at the bottom of the road.
Staff are extremely helpful- asked for an extra blanket and an iron, both times item arrived within a few minutes of asking.
Good Turkish breakfast with other options too.

We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a great place, very close to the Blue Mosque and many shops bars and restaurants.
It has a wonderful roof top restaurant with fantastic views across the city - lovely view whilst eating your breakfast. Great food served too.
My only criticism is our double room was very very small, there was only one bedside cabinet - no room for two and only one chair at the tiny table.

Great hotel. We stayed in a Deluxe room called Bosphorus--Room 602 on sixth floor. We had a terrace with amazing view looking right at Hagia Sophia, Topkapi to the left, and Blue mosque to the right. Farther left amazing view of the bosphorous. Amazing! Bed was comfy, bathroom very nice and good water pressure with jacuzzi tub. The small elevator only goes to the 6th floor, then 1 flight of stairs to the restaurant/bar. Had outdoor terrace just above our room--really enjoyed drinks on the terrace, and breakfast was very large--very good! We mostly walked from hotel and almost all the good stuff was walking distance within minutes. We did finally walk down to the TI tram at Gulhane--about 7 minute walk, but pretty steep. Went over to Eminonu/walked along Galata bridge and up into spice market--which we liked much better than grand bazaar. Don't miss New Mosque (Yeni Cami) right by this. For going back to hotel on T1 we didn't get off at Gulhane as the walk uphill was steep--kept going around to Sultanahmet station--then walk through the gaps going back towards the hotel--great walk with tons of restaurants along the way--much more interesting and full of sights. This hotel was so well situated for doing everything. The staff were great, constantly offering assistance and guidance. We bought several turkish lamps and other stuff, and got if all within 100 yards of the hotel--and I priced shopped at numerous locations--best deals nearby. Would certainly stay again--thanks. The hotel is in a great location, very handy for most of the key sites.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Particular shout out to the restaurant staff who are very attentive.
The rooms are comfortable and clean and well serviced, the cleaners were a little keen on check out day, make sure to put the do not disturb sign on.
Only real downside for me was other guest, noisy and banging doors, loud in corridors and TV on late into the night. Nothing the hotel can do about other guests though.
Happy to recommend for aa City break.
