We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The most friendly front staff from front staff, cleaners and concierge. Was given room options on arrival. Breakfast variety every day. Exceeded my expectations for a 4 star hotel. Location excellent to main tourist attractions, shopping and food places. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel is very good for its price, we had a triple accommodation and the room was comfortable. The best part is the location, everything is just a few blocks from the hotel: the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. Another important point is the breakfast buffet, which we found to be quite comprehensive.\"

Hotel located near most attractions. Very convenient location and close to transportation. We stayed on the first floor with windows looking the street, and you can hear noise coming in from the cars passing by. Room was spacious, but no wardrobe to store your clothes, just few hangers.
Breakfast was good. not much variety.
Overall average hotel with good location.

Nice hotel and location is excellent. Lots of restaurants and shops near the hotel. Only negative thing is if you have kids with buggy. Its very difficult to walk around with a buggy. Apart from that everything was perfect.

The worst hotel experience, the room was dusty, the bathroom was mouldy, the toilet tissue was the worst quality and harsh, it gave me rash.
The room had a bad smell in it.
The food and the fruits were left open all night, there were flies on the open food.
The pictures at the time of booking showed pool in them but there were none. Check your location before you book because they arent the same. The staff are unprofessional, they have no sense of customer service, they were eating in front of us while cooking.

Fantastic stay at Great Hotel

We could not have hoped for a better hotel and sometimes you strike it lucky and this hotel really did deliver. Its a 4* but could easily be a 5*. We stayed for a full week in the junior suite and it was spacious and luxurious.
The hi speed wifi is excellent, and each day I logged on for the full day, I had no issues, the internet speed was great and never dropped once.
The hotel is well located, minutes from the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque and the breakfast buffet is first class as is the décor and general helpfulness of the staff.
Highly recommend this hotel, wanted to extend the stay but no availability for the suites in a really busy end of December period

We stayed at Dosso Dossi hotel for 4 nights on our recent visit to Istanbul and it was very good. Here's a comprehensive review of the hotel.

The good(s):
1) We booked an executive room and was provided one on the first floor. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and has other amenities.
2) The location was central within close proximity of Hagia Sophia. Plenty of travel options whether it is by foot, tram or taxi.
3) Breakfast was brilliant and we had a very filling and satisfactory breakfast every day. There were plenty of options with a English and Turkish spread and loads of desserts, puddings and fruits.
4) Staff really go an extra mile. Kudos to the reception team and concierge (apologies didn't note down the names) who were very good and helped with our queries everytime. We also loved the work done by the guy who painted our names in the ottoman style outside breakfast lounge.

Can be better:
1) The carpets were really dirty, don't know whether this was due to the weather but they looked very worn and patchy.
2) It was very noisy in the morning. The walls must be thin and as we were close to the stairs, reception and above the kitchen, it got noisy after 6am every day. Road noises weren't that bad despite being on the 1st floor facing off to the streets below.
3) The gym was very well equipped but a bit too congested due to smaller size.

Overall a very good hotel, gets a solid 4 star. Highly recommended if you're looking for a hotel,

I always enjoy my stay at Dosso Dossi hotel in Sultanahmet. It is conveniently located close to many must see sites and there are many shops and restaurants close by.

The staff is friendly and the breakfast has a good selection. This time however I was given a room that seemed smaller than the size I had booked and there was barely enough room for my suitcase.

Positives: Convenient access to all the main tourist sites.

Negatives: In house service lacking. I asked housekeeping for iron and ironing board about a week ago and still waiting for it and am already back in UK.🙄
Asked for bathroom fan to be fixed and someone came in whilst were out and fixed one light that was faulty but not the fan.
When we checked in I asked about the view which was a wall covered with artificial turf and were told curtly that only some rooms have a view at the front...something Expedia needs to make clear in their write up.

This hotel was very pleasant. Staff were always available and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice with a lot of local items on the menu. The location was very convenient for transport (metro and tram) as well as the most historic part of the city.

The only reason for 4* instead of 5* was that we were given small double rooms for the first days even though we had booked twin rooms.

I would recommend this hotel and would consider going back.

Great service at the hotel. The staff were amazing. However, my only complaint is with the airport transfer via the hotel. The transfer service forced an extra Euro 20 from us stating that due to an accident at 6 am, an alternative route would be taken. I checked the navigation before the departure and the roads were clear. The hotel should bring this up for future guests.

My wife and I stayed at this Property in February 2019 and loved it then. This is our 2nd visit and everything about this hotel is fantastic. A really great boutique hotel for a good price with excellent service and great rooms. You must ask for a room with a King Bed and room to be able to pray because their other rooms can be a tight squeeze if you have 4 pieces of luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this Property.

The Hotel was great, super convenient location, everything walking distance 5 min to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia , Topkari Palace etc..
Breakfast was a WOW! so many varieties of food and fruits for breakfast! The Hotel was so clean!
The most important for me was the Spa, Gym and the massage area- clean and great service! I used the facilities every night !
And I really want to mention the people working in this hotel: The Manager Sezaibah -good English, professional and customer oriented! I will only come to Istanbul for his service and his team! He helped me and my mom with everything during our stay, he organized transportation for us, suggested places to visit, organized excursions etc.. Many many THANKS for such a great service and being so customer oriented!

I enjoyed my stay at Dosso Dossi Hotels old city. The hotel location is fabulous - close to all the must see sights. There are also many restaurants and shops close by.

The hotel staff is friendly and the buffet breakfast offers a wide range of items.

This was my third stay at this hotel. The room I had during this stay was adequate and comfortable. Just a note to solo travelers- during my first stay two years ago I was given a small cramped room even though I had paid for a larger room. During my second stay last month I was given the same room! The next day I mentioned the size of the room and one of the Receptionists said that I was only one person. I pointed out that I had paid for a much larger room and they changed my room.

Inspite of this I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

Enjoyable stay! The hotel is in Sultanahmet and close to many of the must see sights and also close to many Restaurants. The breakfast buffet is pretty good and if you happen to be around between 5-6 pm - there is complimentary tea, coffee and croissants.
I only wish the rooms were a little bigger. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Location is perfect for history lovers. It is the heart of Istanbul so, no need to explain. The place is really nice, clean, and modern. The staff was great and kind. I highly recommend. The only downside is the windows of some of the rooms just see the walls of the other buildings, which was not a problem for us since we spent our time outside wandering around and imagining how the great Ottoman Sultans lived there...
