This place is beyond average. To avoid dealing with a property lacking amenities, book a hotel. It had no proper TV channels, and the Wi-Fi was shaky. The towels and other stuff were also old.

The best thing about this place is its location.

My stay at Antusa Design Hotel & Spa hotel was a positive experience, primarily due to its excellent location and amenities.

The hotel is centrally located, with major attractions like the Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapı Palace, The Blue Mosque within easy walking distance.

Our room provided an impressive view of the Hagia Sophia. The rooftop restaurant offered panoramic views of the old city and the sea during breakfast.

A decent breakfast was included. I especially enjoyed being able to order a superb Turkish coffee, which was the perfect way to get energized in the morning.

The staff was consistently friendly and helpful.

The spa center was a significant plus. It featured a traditional Turkish bath and offered a massage, which was excellent and came with a 20% discount for hotel guests. It was a great way to relax after a long day of walking.

The only minor drawback was that the hotel is not brand new. You could see some wear-and-tear in certain areas, which showed its age. However, this was a small detail that didn't detract from our overall positive experience.

Fantastic hotel, location perfect. Really close to all the Sultanahmet sights, just a couple of minutes, a tram stop 3 mins walk away, and it's the most useful tram line for tourists. The staff are lovely, especially at breakfast. Breakfast is s delight, lots of choice, fabulous bread, bakery, cheeses, salad produce, and loads more, something for everyone, and more. The restaurant, where breakfast happens, has fantastic views of everything you will be going to visit. Room was nice and clean, nice big shower,and plenty of storage, even for me. Highly recommend.

Poor hotel transfer service, but I would recommend

The staff members were friendly and welcoming. We couldnt have asked for any better service. The breakfast wasn't up to standard and could have done with more options and better quality food. Staff don't speak great english, however this was made up by one supper friendlly staff who is a short old guy who was extremely friendly and attentive. Realy looked after us and kept asking if we needed anything and always had a smile on his face which made the difference! there is not much option for food in breakfast, however waiters do ask what you want and they go make it for you.
I was dissappointed on the hotel transfer. when we arrived at the airport, despite us having a private transfer booked, we were made to wait with everyone else and once everyone was there, then we were taken to our private taxi, which did waste about 20 minutes of our time.
Also when going back to the airport on our last day, I spoke to the reception and booked 5pm as transfer hours in advance. When it reached 5pm, I went to the reception to check where the transfer was, his reaction was like he had forgotten to book it. Then the transfer ended up arriving at 5:20pm which made us late to the airport and we didnt have time to eat before our slight considering my wife was pregnant. So overall our stay was really nice, just the breakfast food needs improvement and also the hotel transfer needs to be organised better as it can cause delays and then endup ruining the entire holiday. That's all.

Great hotel in the best area of Sultanahmet

Excellent location, about a 5-minute walk to Hagia Sophia in an area where one wouldn't be afraid to walk around in at night. The staff, from the reception desk to the restaurant and others provided us with excellent and friendly service. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the friendly atmosphere provided by Hasan and his restaurant crew. We would recommend Antusa Design Hotel and Spa if asked by friends.

Location, location, location!!!
Perfect property if you know you’re going to be out and about all day. Central to all tourist sites you are going to want to visit and an easy walk to the Galat Bridge.
Room was clean and staff were amazing.
I would probably select this hotel if I were to travel to Istanbul again as I felt safe, the surrounding area was clean and quiet and people around were very pleasant and helpful.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel.

It is very close to major historical attractions such as the Hagia Sophia. In fact, I had breakfast at the top floor with a gorgeous view on the dome.

The room was clean and the area was very quiet during the night. Plenty of local restaurants offer great options for dining. The staff was friendly and helpful when I asked questions about transportation.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Keep in mind that there are at least two Antusa hotels in the area. So, when you search for it in Google maps or some other platform, make sure to search for Antusa DESIGN. And if you accidentally make it to the other location, which is nearby, they will help direct you to the right place.

I was in room 102, a single room. Unfortunately, the bathroom smelled like a sewer. No way to mitigate the smell. I left the fan running all night and anytime I was in the room. Problem was exacerbated by the cleaning lady leaving the bathroom door open, so the smell diffused into the room itself. Overall, the property could do with a renovation.

This hotel is located in a perfect location to walk and see a lot of the major sites. Location location location. The hotel itself is very nice with comfortable and clean rooms. The bathroom is a tad small but a minor nit. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. They define great customer service.

One thing that made the hotel stand out is that we were able to come back to the hotel after checkout later that day and shower in their Spa before taking the airport shuttle to IST.

We definitely recommend Antusa Design Hotel & Spa. If we return to Istanbul, we will be staying there once again.

Lovely Hotel in a brilliant location

We stayed here as a family of 8 over the Christmas period and Antusa Design hotel is very well positioned for a stay in Istanbul, being only a few minutes away from most of the major attractions (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi and the Cagaloglu Hamam)
The staff are very helpful in both Reception and in the rooftop restaurant , which has wonderful views of most of the sights above. Rooms are comfortable, especially the corner suites. Sadly we didn’t have time to use the Spa facilities. Thanks for a great stay.

8-day Enchanting Istanbul

Had a wonderful 7 nights stay at the Antusa Design Hotel in Sultanahmet area, Istanbul. The hotel is centrally located and just a short walk to the Sultanahmet square, Hagia Sophia, and Blue Mosque. The Sultanahmet and Gulhane tram stations are within walking distance too.
The hotel I suspect was recently renovated as the room looks fresh and updated. And the room is of a decent size for hotels in the Sultanahmet area. Hotel has a rooftop terrace restaurant with a spectacular view of the Bosphorus, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia, and offers a good spread of continental and Turkish food for breakfast.
The best part of the stay was the staff from the front office to the housekeeping, and from the restaurant manager to the wait staff. Every staff was so hospitable and professional in attending to the guests. Wish to commend Hasan the restaurant manager at breakfast for his impeccable service.

Hotel was adequate for us. The room was a bit small but the comfortable king sized bed made up for the lack of space. Our room had a window that overlooked the air shaft, ie no view. And the walls were pretty thin so I could hear other guests yelling. The view at breakfast was of The Hagia Sophia so that was a nice perk. The staff was helpful and the location of hotel was super convenient to all the attractions in the Sultanhamet area. The only minor annoyance was the strong scent that they have in the lobby—it was overwhelming and gave me a headache.

Location to the major Istanbul landmarks is what makes this hotel very likable plus the breakfast buffet at the top floor with the Hagia Sophia mosque in the background to add! The Basilica Cistern is just down the street. The Blue Mosque is about a 10 minute walk. The Grand Bazaar is about 15-20 minutes away by foot.
The staff was very accomodating knowing this was our first stay in Turkey. They pointed out the places to visit, restaurants to try, shops to visit etc.
Rooms are a bit small but clean. No musty mildew odour and seemed to be maintained.
Will be staying here next time when we come back!

Exploded lightbulb, stains, rude front desk!!!

The room was weird. Blue lights and a sparkly wall (not in a good way). It looked like a club. There were paint stains and (unidentifiable) stains on tables and beds. The beds had human hair on them and the bathroom lightbulb exploded while I was there. I felt gross inside the room. The window was broken and the \"forth bed\" looked like a DIY project. It smelled weird and the front desk people are nice until you pay. They don't care about you after that. They must have bribed customers for the 5 star reviews. I left after 45 minutes and I would rather sleep on the street than in this hotel.

This hotel was a great find. The location was perfect. Historical sights and the tram line T1 were a maximum 7 minutes walk some even closer with no major uphill walk.
The staff Hamdullah and Aydin were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast on the terrace level had lovely views and good choice. Hasan was always attentive and served with a smile. Would stay here again.

I cannot say more than great this about Antusa Hotel , the workers were very nice and helpful . They spoke English which is great and even if they did not understand they went the extra mile to help. We wanted to stay again for our second part of our trip but no more rooms available but they still held on to our luggage so we can go to another city and explore. I will definitely stay again next time I come to Turkey . My entire family loved it. The spa was also a great relaxing experience.

Once we got the room it was not cleaned properly, the washroom sink was dirty and had black stains from previous guests, the table inside the room had a mark and a stain of makeup product, and lots of finger prints on the glass from previous guests. We stayed one night between flights at this awesome hotel. The hotel location is just perfect. Minutes from sights and nice restaurants. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. Room was on the small side but very good, perfect for a single stay-over. Breakfast was very good with a vast selection of fruit and other tasty things.

We used the hotel transfer service to go from and to the airport. It was very convenient and the driver was great. Well worth the money.

The location is super, very close to higi Sofia, blue mosque, Topkapi, grand bazaar etc. breakfast buffet is worth the money. staffs are very eager to help. Shout to Mohammed and hamdulla for extra miles to make my stay smooth and memorable. I have used Expedia to find this kind of property to travel to Dublin, jureslem, Mexico City etc., not disappointed.

Close to every where, To the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and the Bazaar are all walking distance.They have restaurant inside and surrounding the property.Best Location In town.
