Location was ideal and restaurant was top notch. went back each night for a very relaxing meal. breakfast buffet was certainly adequate. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Antusa Palace hotel has a convenient location less than 100 mts from Sultanahmet tram station. Major attractions in closed proximity.
Warmly greeted, reception personnel very personable and attentive to guest needs.
The room was comfortable and clean, cleanning personnel extremely efficient and detail oriented.
Good buffet breakfast. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

From the moment we entered, the room had a very strong and unpleasant odor that made it uncomfortable to stay in. The beds were broken, making them unsafe and unusable. In addition, the pillows showed signs of bed bugs, which is completely unacceptable and a serious health concern.

Great location, good restaurant attached, smooth airport pickup, but multiple ongoing issues with temperature control in the room over several days. When we checked in, the room was hot (24C=75°F). It was very cold out, so opened the window and turned on the AC to cool it down. Closed the window and went to sleep, then woke up at 3am sweating, it was 24°C again. Opened the window again,… Front desk said they would fix it the next morning. Came back that night, room was 24°C again. Made a fuss. They did something. Came back from dinner, room was cool. Middle of the night, it went to 24°C again… I’m not sure what was going on with the thermal system, but sometimes it did not run no matter what temp was set, or how hot the room was. Other times it did. They clearly had some system to override the room thermostat at times - for whatever reason. I’m an engineer and it made me want to pull the wiring out of the wall and rewire it all so the thermostat actually made the system operate according to the thermostat. Infuriating.

Amazing location and staff. The staff were attentive, responsive and friendly and were one of the best from my experience in Turkey. The location is very convenient and few minutes walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and tens mins to spice bazaar and has nice restaurants nearby. The rooms are small as to be expected at this location but very clean and modern inside. The only negative is that the breakfasts weren't the greatest and can be improved

Staff was very friendly but the rooms were very small. I booked a triple room but the 3rd bed was more for an infant than a adult which made the stay very difficult. There was cigarette smell coming through the vents - the solution by the staff was to close the vent.

Mixed feelings — great service but terrible standard rooms

The hotel has many strong points — friendly and helpful staff, a fantastic breakfast, and a truly excellent location. However, I’m giving it 3 stars because the standard rooms are just not up to the mark.

All rooms are very small — even for a solo traveler, the space feels cramped. But the standard room I was initially given was especially bad: it faced a blank wall covered in air conditioning units and smelled strongly of kitchen fumes. The room was dark, gloomy, and unpleasant. I couldn’t sleep at all due to the smell and constant noise.

The next day, I asked for an upgrade. The new room had a much better view and was brighter, but still extremely small and clearly in need of renovation. The furniture and finishes felt old and worn. Also, the pillows were very low quality and uncomfortable.

If you care about comfort and modern amenities, I would not recommend booking the standard room — or perhaps this hotel at all. It has potential, but only if you prioritize location over space and room quality.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any queries, sorted out taxi to and from airport easily for me. Breakfast offered a good variety. The room was clean and comfortable. Location was great, very close to bars and restaurants but also walking distance to the tram and the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque area. Also had a treatment in the spa which was excellent. Happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul!

We stayed at Antusa Palace Hotel during our visit to Istanbul and had a lovely experience overall. While our room was on the smaller side, it was well-equipped and comfortable enough for our needs. The amenities were sufficient, and everything was clean and well-maintained. What truly stood out was the staff — warm, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The location is also a major plus: just a short walk from many of the city’s top historical attractions, including the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. A great base for exploring the old city.

Booked a last minute one-night stay at Antusa Palace Hotel due to a flight cancellation from Athens to Istanbul. We were originally supposed to be in Istanbul for 2 nights before heading back to the U.S. But our stay at Andusa was excellent! We had two comfortable adjoining rooms for our family of four. All the staff we encountered was excellent. We had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant. We did not have breakfast as we headed out early to try and visit several sites before our afternoon flight. Hotel is in an excellent location, less than a 5 minute walk to the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque, maybe 7 minutes to the Bazaar. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here on our next visit.

I really liked the location. Perfect for heading toward any of the historical sites. Staff were nice.

Rooms were nothing fancy. Unfortunately i was placed on second floor with no balcony, and I was basically overlooking some sort of interior roof courtyard. I think half the rooms in the hotel basically have no view of outdoors. But the location and price were good.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the Hotel staff my family and I had a great stay at Antusa Hotel. The LOCATION is the best part so close to the main square and very walkable to all areas. The hamam at the hotel is also great and good value for money. I will defo be back and would be starting here again in a hurry.The only down fall are the rooms are slightly tight and small other then that it was a perfect stay. As usually in turkey the room usually tight . No room to set your suitcase. No iron , Breakfast was good. Bathroom is very clean, enough toiletries and towels and slippers. Floor is wood. Taxi service is in time. Room is smoke free. Room cleaned every day. Excellent front desk. Mr. Emin was excellent acumen personality. Proximity to Tram line is less than 5 minutes.

Really friendly, welcoming hotel and excellently located for the main sites. Although the room was small (I knew that when I booked!) it was clean and comfortable. As a female solo traveller, I felt safe and very well looked after. The staff were brilliant from front desk to room servicing. The hotel spa/ Hammam is definitely worth a visit and the Lekker restaurant serves great food at comfortable, shaded tables.

Staff and location were very good! However, at best I would say this is a 3 star hotel. The pool in the spa was not working, the courtyard described is a restaurant at the front of the hotel, and if you want to just sit and relax the restaurant staff make you feel uncomfortable for not ordering anything. We had one ‘large’ single sofa bed- this was not large at all and falling apart- mattress had no support and was very uncomfortable. Small room with the sofa bed, pictures are deceiving. Room didn’t lock- hotel needs renovation.
The staff and location helped with the negatives of the hotel - I would not stay here again

Very accessible and around a 3-4 min walk to blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. Lots of shops in the local area. Staff were brilliant and very helpful. Very convenient location.
Room was clean but smaller than expected. The pics are a little deceiving lol. Pool was out of order when we stayed. Breakfast is quite basic but did the job.
Overall, I would stay again as the location was brilliant.

Very clean and modern hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to all the places I was looking to visit, no taxis needed. The room was good, very clean and all the toiletries, except body lotion. If you’re coming from America make sure to bring a charger adapter or you can buy at the store close by. The spa was fantastic and you can get a good body treatment for an extra fee.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Antusa Palace. The location is fantastic, all the main Sultanahmet are within easy walking distance and the Tram connecting to other sights is at the end of the road. I slept very well, the bed was super comfy. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, it was nice to return at the end of a long day. My room had a balcony with a super view down the street and across the water in the distance. Lovely to sit at early in the morning when only the local.people are about. Good choice at breakfast but don't expect a full english brekkie. I would definatley stay there again.

Hotel is in good location but it feels like a money washing front. It has a dodgy feeling when different men are seen to go in and out of the hotel with large cash amounts exchanged.
The room we requested was a twin room but was given a double room and when asked they said all the rooms are fully booked and they can change tomorrow. The next day the same issue only this time they went and disconnected the double bed to make two single beds!!

The hotel had an overall sketchy feeling. While waiting for our room to be ready for check-in, went to the deserted “spa” to get a facecloth to wipe my face after flying 11hrs. Eventually found one staff member who was in a therapy room brushing her teeth. Asked for the facecloth and she proceeded to talk to me with toothpaste foam all around her mouth. As she didn’t speak any English, she got her “manager” who came to help just wearing a bath towel only. Seems she was in the middle of a shower or something. Was then told I could either use a towel in my room (not an option) or paper towels in the public washrooms. Eventually after pushing back, I got given a hand towel.

While this was going on, multiple guys in puffer jackets and knock off “designer” running shoes would go into the “Management” office, have loud discussions and leave. These kinds of guys were in/ out of the hotel all the time. The whole atmosphere was like something from The Sopranos and was very unprofessional. The “spa” completely gave off the vibe of a money-laundering front, especially when the only ones using the services were the supervisor and her colleague. Never felt safe at this hotel.

The staff were also very liberal with eating from the guest breakfast room. The wait staff made several plates for reception and housekeeping staff to eat, joining guests in line at the buffet. They’d stop to get coffee and snacks with guests.

Hotel is convenient but makes you think there’s a lot going on below

We had a fantastic stay. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful and attentive to our needs. The breakfast buffet was decent with sufficient options to please everyone. Rooms are small by American standards but very clean and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is literally several minutes walk from many of the major tourist sites and there are a multitude of restaurants nearby to choose from as well as the restaurant within the hotel. The decor could use a refresh but certainly didn't detract from the stay.
