On arrival we could not check in as we assumed overbooked. They said water issues but other people were in hotel. They offered us a different hotel for the night down the street.We checked in again the next afternoon.The hotel is in good location to be able to walk to different sites around Instanbul.

Everything was great about this hotel, including the room and the breakfast. The only reason I’ve downgraded it is that there was a smell of raw sewage in the room at times. In fact in the morning, it was so bad I had to completely open my window. It was so bad I almost could not even be in the room.

Property is old and in need up updating. Ie. towel rack rusted off, shower unit completely crooked on the wall, drain loose. Room needs a good cleaning and the walls were paper thin. We could hear everyone’s full conversations. Staff were all polite, kind and helpful and the area was central for walking to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions!

What stands out about this place is the staff who makes you feel welcome. They are always cheerful to see you and their breakfast nook is top notch with really tasty options and filtered coffee (wooow) and it starts at 730am. They have amenities in bathroom and the hotel is close to the old city sites (aga sofia, basilica cistern, tokapi palace, and its walkable like 16-20 to 20 minutes to the arasta bazaar or the grand bazaar). Its also 3 blocks away from t1 sultanamet metro. The bed is also confortable and the cleaning staff keeps it clean.The guy in the front is very friendly and always greets you with a smile. I got a city view that was blocked a bit but you can see the sun rise in the morning
Staying at this hotel was the highlight of my trip in istanbul.

Room was on top floor and curtain was fitted on a sloping ceiling so it would not close properly (and stay closed). The room was adequate, but fairly basic.

Great to have the air conditioning, and the fridge in the room, and it was lovely to get the complimentary bottle of water each day.

Breakfast selections at the hotel were very limited and did not change much, (and the little bit of \"hot\" food was only kept luke warm).

Although it's a good location/base for going out nearby, unfortunately the street was often dirty, and there is a building site next door. The gardens across the road (a school I think) stank of cat poo.

It was our first time in Europe with 2 children. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Amazing breakfast and location. Everything was so close by. Most of the attractions were 5-10 minutes from the hotel. The only reason I didn’t give 5 star because of the following. The rooms and the bathroom very small compare to US hotels. It was hard for 4 of us to getup in a congested room and get ready and so.

The property is in an excellent location, within walking distance to major attractions such as the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfasts with a good choice of food. Plenty of eating places nearby. The hotel is an old property and could do with some modernisation in places, including better plumbing to prevent unpleasant smells. Having said that the room was comfortable and quiet and we would stay there again.

The famous market was also a 5-7 minute walk away. There was a lot of restaurants & food options near the hotel.

My family and I stayed here during Christmas break and could not be more pleased with the outstanding service. The hotel was located within minutes of all the popular attractions, room size was greatly catered to our needs, cleanliness was quite evident, and the entire staff was amazing. The receptionist Ugur was very helpful with attraction/food recommendations and was a total life saver when I forgot an item at the hotel before my flight back home. Definitely recommend Edibe Sultan hotel if visiting Istanbul Türkeye.

It was nice hotel good value for money. All major sites within a short walking distance. The staff was very helpful my wife injured her food they gave us a wheel chair. However, electric wheel chairs would be better in that area as the roads are narrow, historic made of bricks and Istanbul is a hilly city. The area around the hotel is also has some steep roads. The breakfast was fresh and nice with a variety of breads fruits cheeses sausages scrambled and boiled eggs pastries tea coffee and juices. The staff is lovely and helpful. Daily room service cleaning wise is average but fresh towels, soaps, water bottles tea bags coffee and creamers are given daily and any thing you request they go out of their way to help you. Family friendly hotel. We will definitely be going there again we all loved the hotel and the location. Edible sultan we are coming again soon!

Hotel was very noise, the first night we got a smelly room, shower rooms are very small, can’t even take a proper shower inside due to limited shower room. Heating was not working. The next day we got another room, they did not change the bed sheets, pillow cover and blankets for 4 days. I had to complain to the manager.

The hotel is situated in a prime location in Sultanhamet, Istanbul. The hotel staff are amazing and very professional, cleanliness was up to scratch but unfortunately that's where it ends. There was a smell emanating from the shower drain which was awful, the walls are extremely thin so you can hear everything from other rooms in the hotel, conjoining or not. The breakfast was limited to fruit, salads and scrambled eggs - great if you're dieting I guess.

The location is really sold us on the property. It is very close to many of the main sites in Istanbul and a block away from a hole area of restaurants. Transportation is easy and it’s very walkable to side she want to see without needing a taxi. The lobby and room are beautiful. Our room was very small with very limited storage but had a nice balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service was lacking as they did not clean the room two of the three nights that we were there. A couple of the hand towels had stains on them as well.

We were 2 families, booked 2 superior double rooms, received 1 triple which was ok and 1 double no more than basic, without hanger for jackets, no table, no luggage rack. We move the luggage rack from the triple to the double room, because the receptionist answer to our complain was: it is what it is, can't change anything. Also the bathroom has minimum storage space, so I think the photos are somehow deceptive.

Hotel staff very helpful and polite - very clean rooms - ideal location - /beware we were given a room in the basement next to the breakfast room and housekeeping storage room - was very noisy also small windows Ceiling level (ground level outside) was the designated smoking area, so it was like having people approx 2metres away from you talking laughing and coughing all hours of the night had several issues with other guests wanting to sit outside and smoke after midnight well into the early morning

I chose this property because of its proximity to what we wanted to see, which was a great move considering the traffic and overpriced taxis in Istanbul. The one thing you might have trouble with is the taxi to and from the airport because it is in the historic part of Istanbul which is very busy but you'll be close to the bazars. Hagia Sophia, blue mosque. Topaki Palace.

The property looks as it does on the listing and there is an extensive offering of savory and sweet for breakfast the breakfast staff is very kind and keeps the area clean.

Special thanks to Reyzan who welcomed us with both information and conversation. Such a sweet soul and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time. We scheduled our airport taxi through the hotel which was absolutely the right move because the price was accurate, and they can help you time it given how bad the traffic is in Istanbul.
One staff member actually went out into traffic with me on the side streets ( because the street is too narrow for cars to enter) to find the taxi I scheduled which was so nice and I could never have done it without him :) <3

We had a lot of fun staying here. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. We stayed here for our anniversary. They gave us a room directly facing the Hagia Sofia and we could see the sunrise right from our window. They even decorated the room for our anniversary. Special mention to Seyfettin who was very approachable and always ready to accommodate our requests.

Location: AMAZING - walking distance to Grand Bazaar, Haiga Sophia, Blue mosque, shopping, etc. The Staff was GREAT! I love how they take care of everything promptly. (Sedat -manager and Ali) were always available for any needs we had.
We stayed here as well as near Takshim square - this is the area you want to be around.
The rooms were outdated and much smaller than expected.
Again, i would not have been happy with this hotel, but with the SERVICE provided and the location, it more than made it up.

Excellent service, and a beautifully decorated boutique hotel. The staff will offer you as much Turkish tea as you can possibly drink, and the lobby is a lovely place to do so. The buffet breakfast has a fairly extensive spread. The rooms have simple but nice touches, including a soothing shower with three different spray settings, and water as hot as you can possibly want it. This hotel exemplifies Turkish hospitality.

Just for one night!

Hotel was in the heart of most you want to see, we actually had a long layover and to advantage of visiting Istanbul so we booked it for a night. I have to say that it was perfect, 5 minutes walk to either direction we had the Blue Mosque or the Grand Bazzar, plus lost of great places to eat. The only thing is that the rooms are small, it seems that most of the hotels in the area are that way. They had great service and well maintained. I wish we had spent more night, but will definitely return for more!

Two nights Istanbul.

We were at the end of a two week guided tour of Turkey and wanted to stay some extra time in Istanbul. Edibe Sultan is really well situated in Sultanahmet close to all major attractions and plenty of eating places. On arrival we were welcomed with tea and chat with the staff. Our room was very pleasant and breakfast was included in the price. We enjoyed tea one afternoon in the foyer which was obviously a daily offering to all guests. We also enjoyed the free internet.

Nice hotel in good area, with amazing staff

Had a lovely stay here for four nights. Though the initial room wasn't what we thought it was going to be, everything was sorted out, and we were upgraded for free. Lovely staff, who really take care of you and make you feel like family. Breakfast was amazing!

Wonderful

I stayed at this hotel for five nights as a solo traveler during a heat wave in August. The staff is incredibly helpful and will do what ever is in their power to help you feel safe and make sure you have a good time. They truly went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The location is perfect...feels like a safe part of Sultanahmet and is a block from many, many cafes, shops and pubs. Easy walk to Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque as well as many other attractions. The AC in the hotel is wonderful..cools the room much more effectively than most European hotels. the shower was modern and clean. The room was small, but perfect for one person.
