The lady at front desk rude, mean & cold. Please put her away from people. You need a friendly, smoky, helpful front desk assistant. Front desk is the face of your business.

Bathroom towels sand paper perfect for aligator skin. I requested one big bed & got 2 small ones.

NO PARKING AVAILABLE!!!

It is a cute hotel and the service was friendly. The room and cleanliness was acceptable. The only issue I had was the listing says there is parking available. This is incorrect, and the clerk only recommended the closes spot to park which was full. I couldn't find any overnight parking garages, so I had to pay a ticket the next morning for parking over the one hour limit for street parking :(

Keep in mind there is no air conditioning and if windows are open there is noise from the busy street. We thought there was parking on site as advertised but it’s 3-4 blocks away. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. For the price the stay was fine.

The city of Guanajuato is fabulous. To find anything make sure you have gps including the hotel. No a/c in rooms. The staff and location was perfect. Beds comfortable. Showers take a while to get warm. Good deal for the $'s

This is a great property if you are not (like I said before) \"affraid\" walk around 1mi in hilly and cobblestone streets to reach the turistics hubs (but hey! you're in Guanajuato city! What else you can expect!?) This hotel is located on a safe and secure neighborhood and it is ok to walk back to the hotel in the 2-3am hours without problem even if you drank a few beers and you're a couple in the 50's like us, don't worry you'll back safe and sound to the states at the end of your trip. Enjoy your stay use internet to make resevations! Locally price increase 50% or more , so be aware, you can do it even been here already and change your mind to stay longer, use Expedia they will honor your price if you decide to enjoy this hotel much longer.
You will not need the tour services you can get those by yourself in a regular bus or taxi paying 70% less the regular price and I mean it! I paid in pesos $100-200 ($6-12 dlls) instead of +$60 dlls per the same touristic ride, be aware it is the same but at your own terms and schedule. Enjoy it came to Guanajuato! You'll not regret it.
Use Unebus to get here from BJX airport 50 pesos (4dlls) and then 70 pesos ($4.50 dlls) taxi to been drop at hotel door. Same way back don't let them scam you with the \"touristic ID\" hanging on their necks!) Enjoy your trip it is safe! Good travel!

Close proximity to the historic downtown area. Able to walk to mos of the scenic sites. We took a taxi to the hotel and did not have a car so I don’t know if they have parking, it did not appear so. The hotel was nice for the price. We arrived a couple hours before check in and our room was not available but they kept our luggage while we went for a walk and grabbed a bite to eat.

We liked this hotel. It doesn't have the best location, but it's convenient. All the room here don't have AC. You have to open the windows to cool it down. The hotel doesn't have a lobby. The front desk is on the second floor. It's more like a family ran motel. Our room is very spacious and our beds are pretty comfortable. The bathroom is kind of small. We have basically no counter space in the bathroom. You have to leave everything in the closet outside of the bathroom. It's a very money friendly property, so we are happy with what we got here.

It was... Okay.

The location is not too far walking from attractions but we used Uber mostly (1-2 dllr trips, great value). Check in was pleasant but did not accept AMEX cards, I later found a lot of places there dont either. The hallways and room was clean BUT the room smelled of dirty mop. Basic room w/safe and comfy soft-med beds. Biggest complaint was the small shower and poor design which allowed water to splash on the whole bathroom floor due to poor door placement. Possibly due to the very small shower. Super uncomfortable shower and the water temp could not be regulated. We were told to only use hot water valve only because the cold valve would cause the water to shut. Water was too hot. But, nice staff, and an okay place to just catch some zzzz\"s.

The property is well located and price is fair. The thing is I reserved a room with king size bed as offered about 3 moths before my trip. I traveled only with my wife. On arrival as we entered our room we noticed two imperial beds in opposite layout, when I made the claim to the front desk guy in charge just told me that there isn't king beds available during our stay and even thou I asked, he doesn´t offered a discount or room upgrade, very bad attitude. There were hairs from previous guests on the bathroom also and were cleaned next day.

We actually had a good experience with this hotel. It is not on the prettiest street, but the inside of the hotel is not bad. The employees are nice and helpful. It is a short walk to the center of town. But on the positive side, there is a lot of traffic in the center of town that walking out of that area is not bad. You have to run the hot water for a couple of minutes to take a shower, but we knew that already. Decent hotel for the price.

Very clean, basic and the staff accommodating.

This is a small hotel on the edge of the centro of the city. It has the usual noises of a Mexican hotel. Since the floor is tiled and we were on the first floor, we heard a lot of noise from outside the room in the lobby at times. The king size bed (hard to find in Guanajuato) was firm but I found it to be very comfortable! I never heard a sound through the walls of the adjoining walls. The bathroom was small but clean and newer. There was no blow dryer or iron in the room but the front desk happily loaned me one when I needed it. There is no air conditioning in the room but a nice modern ceiling fan which was all we needed. It’s usually not hot at night ever there. WIFI worked good. I felt for the price we paid, this was a great choice. I would stay here again.

The hotel was nice and quiet, not a touristy area but a very easy walk to get to the center of town and very close to the Alhondigas Museum. The staff were attentive and helpful and the city tour I did through the front desk was good and a good deal. I don't know whether or not they speak English.

There were just a few strange things about the hotel. Twice I had to exit the shower soaking when the water suddenly turned from hot to cold and had to ask the front desk to fix it. They need to look into that. The safe did not have full instructions on it and it didn't seem to work properly - I had to get staff to open it with their key both times. And there is no sign to hang on your door if you don't want them to come in and clean.

Great time at Hotel Real de Leyendas

We took a bus from San Miguel de Allende to Guanajuato City then took a cab to hotel Real de Leyendas. The personnel was very courteous and helpful.
They suggested that we take a bus to the mining town of Valenciana. It was quite a trip and the locals really want to make sure you see every bit of it. We also went to the Mummy Museum. The people were very friendly and we had no difficulty finding the museum. The Hacienda gardens of San Gabriel was beautiful.
Many beautiful churches, teatro Juárez, and the University of Guanajuato were some other sites they recommend. Just not enough time for all the festivities and places to see.

Pros: safe, secure, clean. Taxi's local buses ,eats are close. Great free Wi-Fi. Overall great value .
Cons: No elevators. No A/C, only ceiling fan. Not real close to where the action is, Guanajuato is very hilly, lot & lots of walking up steep stairways if walking is an issue taxi it. Door closes at 2:00 am- be prepared to sleep in the park if out late !

Nice looking rooms but not the best...

We stayed just for a night during the New Years holiday season.

Pros:
-Rooms are nice in general. I believe most people would be satisfied with the size, layout, etc...
-Wi-fi worked pretty good with a decent up/down speed.
-not that far from the city centre. took us about 10 mins by foot.
-Towels and toilet paper were neatly folded as flower (or whatever that was) which was nice little touches of hospitality.
-The receptionists were kind and helpful but didn't speak much english.

Cons:
-Hot water pressure was unstable. It ran for about 5 mins and hot water stopped running. it came back after waiting for a while, but it went out again after about 5 mins.
-It was a clean looking room so we were surprised when we found the floor was a bit dirty. There was a noticeable amount of dust on the floor including left over pieces of bread.
-The room was facing the road so it was a bit noisy, but I'm not going to complain too much about it.

Our Experience in Guanajuato

The room was nice and clean with a specious shower. However couple of nights we had difficulties relaxing because of the noise from other rooms and the lobby. This hotel is NOT on ground zero of Guanajuato, unless you prefer to walk 15-20 minutes downtown. IF you want to see the \"real\" Mexico, then this neighborhood is for you. It is a very safe place and people are always willing to help you. If you turn right from the hotel door, and walk for about four to five minutes, there is a great panaderia and an organic barista across the street.

To get to the front desk you have to climb a steep staircase. Nobody was there to help us get the suitcases up the stairs and to the room. In Mexico where you cannot drink the tab water every other hotel I visited had two bottles of purified water in the room. There were none. In a tropical climate one would expect air conditioning. There is no air conditioning in the rooms just a fan.

No WIFI and noise penetrates in room.

If you're looking for a quiet place with reliable WIFI DO NOT STAY HERE. You can hear absolutely everything from the reception desk in the room as there are gaps in the doors. 30 minutes after we checked in the WIFI was turned off. I repeatedly asked the ladies in front to please turn it on or fix it and they insisted they could not do anything during our 3 day 2 night stay. Shockingly, after we checked out we were waiting for a taxi for approximately 15 minutes (as my mother went to the pharmacy) and guess what? The WIFI miraculously began working after we checked out. During our stay we were the only visitors staying there.

Furthermore, although it appears to be in the very center of the city, it's about a 15 minute walk to the center with many hills and curves.

The hotel is very expencive for what it gave us.We paid 320 us dlls for 2 nights,I chosse this hotel because it was down town supostly close to everything.Anyways,wather for shower was cold,not enough soap and toilet suplays that they promise.Very cold,bad internet reception and very very noisy.I dont recomend you to stay here at all.Once I was there I saw better hotels better Price even if there werent down tow,all in Guanajuato is preatty close-

La habitación es muy espaciosa, además de que cuenta con las amenidades que necesitas. Queda muy cerca de todo, es fácil llegar a todos lados desde ahí. El personal es muy amable. Volvería a hospedarme en futuras ocasiones.
Lo único que no nos gustó tanto es que se escucha mucho el ruido de los demás huéspedes y el bullicio/ruido de la calle sin embargo pudimos descansar sin tema. La zona es segura y bien ubicada.

This hotel is immaculate and well located. The important reason to take off a star is because there is no hoy water for the shower. The first day I showered almost entirely with cold (not lukewarm, freezing cold) water, by the end it got warm. Today I let it run and when it got warm I jumped in, only to stop when I was shampooing my hair. The rest of the shower: frozen water. My roommate had the exact same experience. When I went to reception to let them know, the front desk lady and told I should’ve notified it (I was doing it in that moment, hair still dripping from the cold shower). We also couldn’t use the safe box because the directions are for opening but not programming. I got the directions online from the manufacturer page to program it but the model of the safe was missing the #* keys, the safe kept beeping and blinking yellow when we tried to program it. The lady at the front desk said we were supposed to figure it out because they are not allowed, she reset it twice but it never worked out. Would we stay again? Probably not, because of the cold shower.

En general cumplió las espectativas, lo único que fue complicado fue regular el agua caliente o tardaba demasiado tiempo en salir. Para el frío que estaba haciendo es una tortura.
