Such a stylish hotel - I loved it and would definitely stay there again! The bathroom was really spacious, which we appreciated. The gym is very nicely equipped - with some cardio equipment but also nice set of free weights to build out a great workout! Staff were very pleasant.

We did not have a good check-in experience. The lady who assisted us told us that my 3 year old counts as an adult and so they would charge us an extra 77euros a night, despite not being able offer us a cot/bed, and never mind that he sleeps in our bed anyhow while we travel. After being annoyed, she told us that they won't be charging us

I recently stayed at this hotel in Madrid and had a wonderful experience overall. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making my stay very pleasant. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained and offers a range of great amenities. My only slight disappointment was the size of the room—it was quite tiny. However, the cleanliness and comfort of the room made up for it. If you don't mind a smaller space, this hotel is a fantastic choice for your stay in Madrid.

The Totem is a tastefully designed and well located hotel. The staff was extremely attentive. In particular, Paula Bellón made extraordinary efforts to take care of the special needs our group had during our stay. We booked a larger room with a sofa (junior suite?) and brought my daughter along. When we arrived at the hotel, they said we needed to upgrade the room to a larger suite for 3 person occupancy. It wasn't like we brought along 3 of our friends, and our child is young enough that when we stay in hotels, she stays in the bed with us. The staff was unfriendly and inflexible, but the worst part was that it felt like they were taking advantage of us. We were tired and didn't want to find another hotel so we paid the extra $200+ per night. I stay at a lot of hotels like this and typically the staff do what they can to make things better for you, not worse.
