The hotel is easily accessible from the Metro Station. It’s walking distance to Plaza Mayor. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Room cools quickly once the air conditioner is turned on. The breakfast buffet is superb.

Location was very good. It felt a bit more removed from the very touristy parts of Madrid, which was exactly what we needed, but still quite central and easy to access everything you plan to do in Madrid—it's still a short walk to Gran Vía. The breakfast spread was amazing. There were so many options, anything you would want for breakfast, they had it. This was the perfect place to stay during our time in Madrid and would definitely go back.

Overall it is a nice hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The breakfast is wonderful! My only complaint is the air conditioning struggles to keep up with the heat. It was around 100F each day; and the lowest we could get the room was about 77. We pretty much had to sleep on top of the sheets. We like to walk, and found the location nice, within 30 minute walk of anything we wanted to do.

This hotel is perfectly situated—just a 20-minute walk from Madrid’s major highlights like the Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor, the Prado Museum, and the beautiful Parque de El Retiro. It's an ideal base for exploring the city on foot.

Our room was spacious, with a generously sized ensuite that was both modern and well-equipped. The inclusion of Molton Brown toiletries was a luxurious touch that didn’t go unnoticed.

Breakfast was a delight. While there wasn’t a traditional hot buffet, the spread more than made up for it with an exceptional selection of fresh fruit, creamy yogurts, artisanal breads and pastries, and a taste of local delicacies. The multiple coffee machines were a welcome convenience and something many hotels surprisingly overlook.

Highly recommend for a comfortable and well-located city stay.

While I was hoping to love this hotel based off the amazing reviews I was disappointed in my stay here. The number one thing that affected my stay was the AC does not work great. The first 5 min of being in our room we noticed the AC was not kicking on and when you tried to change the fan intensity on the thermostat there was no change in noise. We went down to the front desk to inquire and the gentlemen said we needed to give it 20/30 min to work. Huh? Okay fine. After that we went back down to state it wasn’t working still, which he came back up to our room himself to make sure we were using the thermostat correctly, and when he realized we were, he said just to give it a little more time. After a couple hours the room was not getting colder we called back down, this time a woman came up to our room. When I opened the door and she was still in the hallway she said “oooo it’s cold” I was so confused. “Huh” I said? She walked in and stated again, “it’s so cold in here” I legit was like is this woman trying to gaslight me right now? It was so condescending. She looked at the thermostat and said that it just takes time for the room to get cold and we needed to give it more time. Well after that experience we were done. It did not get colder. The internet was also incredibly awful and there are no small towels given for the bathroom. Only large ones. Other than that it was okay but I wish they would have taken the AC issue more seriously.

The hotel is located at a very strategic place, close to metro and dining options. The area is safe. They provided of bottles of water for free, which we appreciate. Our room faces the side street and it's super quiet.

Things which could be improved:
- Property upkeep: sink faucet came off the sink, button for the shower is jammed, door handle of the bathroom is loose and makes clanky noise everytime it's used
- Mattress is comfortable but is squeaky when you get on/off


Overall, it's a nice stay and I would stay here again if we were in Madrid again.

Bathroom was huge but shower surface was slippery and water got all over bathroom floor when we used shower. There was a set of bunk beds. The person sleeping up top found the ladder extremely uncomfortable to use when getting up and down - very hard on feet.

There was graffiti on the front of the hotel, the condition of the property, halls, and room was horrible. The high price per night did not line up with the expected quality or vibe. My only complaint is if you stay in a room that looks over the courtyard, be prepared to wake up at 7:30 every morning from the noise. Breakfast starts at 7:30 and the dining area is in the courtyard, so all the noise made echoes and reverberates up to the rooms. I know the staff has to do their job to get ready but it really was impossible to sleep through.

I don't think this is a 4 star hotel. There was mould in the bathroom which got cleaned 2 days into our stay. One of us got food poisoning as they had a chicken meal in the evening. The chicken was pink in the middle and only noticed after as there was a sauce that covered the chicken. The staff were polite and nice.

We stayed here for 4 nights as we were ending our trip to Spain. I've stayed at other Petit Palace Hotels in the past and this is one of the best ones so far. The staff was very nice and accommodating. It's in a very safe part of the city, yet very close to tall tourist attractions either by walking or taking the metro. The outside patio/bar was a great spot to unwind after a long day. I had room service from their hotel one night and it was very good. Overall loved my stay and would highly recommend.

The location of this property is perfect. It’s in a nice neighborhood, but also close to everything and the train is steps away. I was very happy with my choice to stay here and the VIP benefits were worth it. I would def stay here again.

The hotel was great. The Alfonso Martinez metro entrance is right by the hotel. There is a convenience store nextdoor and several restaurants. The room was very clean and the bed comfy. My only complaint is there isnt or I couldnt find a fan in the bathoom for ventilation. Therefore, when i showered the steam fogged up the bathroom and room. It made it hot and humid.

Muy bueno hotel en el centro de la cuidad, aproximadamente 10 minutos caminando de la Gran vía. El personal del hotel muy atento y amable. El área es excelente ya que está cerca de todo pero en un lugar tranquilo. Acceso al metro y a los buses a menos de 2 minutos caminando. El hotel no es muy grande, es un hotel de ciudad. El desayuno buffet muy rico, bien presentado y la comida de excelente calidad. Las habitaciones no eran muy grande pero eran cómodas, el baño era de muy buen tamaño con agua BIEN caliente y en invierno es buenísimo. En overall excelente hotel económico.

Customer service was excellent and the personal touches by the staff was wonderful. Camino, wait staff at breakfast, and cleaning staff, really went above and beyond. They provided personal touches during the holiday time. We appreciate it! Breakfast excellent, location excellent, right next to metro stop that is centrally located. Front desk - helped us whenever we need help. Great place to stay and recommend.
