Room smelly and very small. Definitively not a 4 star hotel. The staff was helpful as long as you don’t ask anything outside of the ordinary, otherwise they don’t show any willingness to help. We asked for a cancellation at the last minute due to an issue with our travel arrangements and also given the condition of the hotels and they even did not try to entertain the idea of a partial reimbursement.

Check-in was horrible. My husband stopped car near the hotel. I went into the hotel lobby. The female staff was supper snubby, the way and tone she tlked to me showing she does not think I am qualified to walk into this hotel. I told her I reserved parking and showed her my message to hotel on hotles.com. Then she laughed laudy at me and rolled he eyes. She said, \"we decidef not reply to you. Ha ha ha.\" I said I would call hotels.com, then she said there was a spot available for 2 days. There is no door man, no luggage staff, no valet parking. She was the only one working in the hotel according to her. Can't believe a 4 star hotel like this. She gave me a map and told me how to drive to the hotel, and she said she would told me how to get to the garage when we drive here. The road she pointed out to me is one way and she tols me to drive against the one way road! I wonderif she really doesn't know it or intentionally told me wrong info. More than half hour later, we reached hotel. I brought some luggage with me in hotel and my husband was in car waiting. The same female staff said, \"Ther eis no need to bring luggage. You can drive intp garage and take luggage in from there.\" I said \"You did not tell me\". She laughed again, \"You did not ask. Ha ha ha\". It was her said she would tell me about garage when we get here. What a terribel staff and a horrible person she is! The garage is very squishy and has steel prick sticking out on wall corner. The room is dark and super noicy.

Busted and Old AC unit made exaggerating noise all night. Room is way small for EU standards. Seems that the Hotel was 4 stars some years ago. Lobby is beautiful and classy but that’s it. Theres no parking. Period. Don’t ask. Location is perfect and close to everything. Wish they do some renovations and mayor maintenance soon, very promising hotel.

Fabulous location in centre of Palermo within easy walking distance of the major sights & numerous cafe’s restaurants & shops. . The staff were very friendly & helpful. It’s an old building & our room was a bit tired, don’t expect shiny & new. The bartender was fab & we had a great cocktail on the roof terrace.

I wish at least they have replaced the mattresses; as for the evening and morning noise, it feels as if you are sleeping in a train station, literally with people talking loud at night while returning to their rooms, or slamming doors non stop day and night, I guess this is due to lack of any sound insulation, but again, it might be an experience for some :)

I did not stay here. Due to issues with airlines, we did not get to stay. I tried to cancel online THIRTY minutes after I made the reservation and the message I got was that I should have cancelled that morning. I did not even make the reservation until the evening. Then I called the hotel directly and they told me they could not do anything for me. Glad I get to call my bank now and dispute this charge for a hotel room I never stayed in.

The hotel was centrally located. It's a grand old building with beautiful marble decor and glorious chandeliers. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooftop restaurant was a delightful fine dining experience at a good price.

We had horrible experience of this hotel. First, we had to drag our bags to the hotel as taxi driver dropped us in the next street corner because it was no entry street. Then the room they gave us was stinking with dust, mold and mite as if it was not used for years ! The bathroom was stinking with bad smell! The bed was hair of the queen size single bed. So we called Expedia. They gave us another room, which was worse if not good. Two tween bed on each corner of the room and bathroom was stinking and room was as not used for years ! The furniture was century old and not maintained! We jdecided to checked out and moved to another hotel , Grand Hotel Wagner after we went there and checked it out ourself. We were celebrating our 41st anniversary and we were totally disappointed with Eurostar and we called Expedia for give us full refund. Expedia should not list this hotel at all. Please take it out of your listing and arrange for the full refund. Thank you for understanding!!

I don’t post reviews but due to how poor quality this hotel is I feel compelled to do so. The hotel advertises double rooms. Beware, as they provide poor quality 3/4 beds also known as French beds. Alternatively, if you’re really unfortunate you’ll be given a couple of single beds aka a rock and a hard place. If you like tired facilities, smoke smells in the corridors, stained pillow cases, noisy rooms from the infernal scrapping of chairs on the dining room hard floor above your head in the early hours, along with unhelpful argumentative staff, and overpaying when there is soooo much better value out there, this hotel is for you.

This was my first stay at Centrale Palace - and compared to the other hotels used at my various regular visits to Palermo, this one is the least likeable. I was attracted by its location, which is definitely great for enjoying the old city. However, there were many practical inconveniences. The state of our room did not give me any fresh feeling - it is rather plain, in the worst sense, and its 2 paintings would do better not to be on its walls, at all. Horrible side view - even if I had reserved a \"junior suite\". One full day without Internet, because of some hotel wide malfunction which was never solved. Not even a welcoming bottle of water is offered by the hotel - yes, even one bottle of plain water will be charged. Breakfast, of course, is NOT included (not the norm at the hotels which I normally use). in conclusion, will never go back.

The hotel is very well situated at the heart of Palermo. It is an old style hotel which is well furnished. The room allocated was clear, secure and very comfortable. It was also a good size for a single occupancy. The breakfast provided by the hotel was very good. All of the staff I encountered were very helpful and friendly particularly the young lady who checked me into the hotel. If I was returning to Palermo I would definitely consider staying at the hotel again.

A gorgeous hotel!
This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel. It was formerly the residence of an aristocratic family. To reach the bedrooms, you walk through different parlors that are furnished with antiques. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. There is a fantastic restaurant on the top floor. We sat outside and enjoyed the food while watching the sunset. It is in a very convenient area of Palermo. We felt safe walking in the area. Around the corner is a pedestrianized area filled with restaurants. We would visit Palermo again just to stay at the Eurostars Centrale Palace. I cannot recommend it enough.

Our room was directly beneath the dining room—the noise from the chairs grating against the floor above us every morning was unbearable. The room effectively had no view or balcony, it was like a cave. The bed was extremely hard (rm 115). Terrific breakfast and good music playing. The public rooms were gorgeous and the rooftop restaurant was terrific, the location fantastic. But a terrible room.

We stayed at this hotel in early June 2024. The rooms are in awful condition. They need to really update their furniture and just clean their rooms/paint them,.etc. The bathrooms were filthy too. This is not a 4 star hotel with any stretch of imagination as they advertise themselves to be. We were not happy with the room we were given and we had to leave the hotel within a day. We moved to the Rocco Forte hotel in Verdura -- which was absolutely amazing. Eurostar Centrale has the location working for them but it really seems like these guys have been through years of not investing in the hotel. I would suggest people to stay away and avoid this one if you are looking at accommodation you look forward to returning to. On top of all this the hotel decided to not refund us for the two nights we never stayed there even though Expedia requested the refund on our behalf. Terrible experience overall and I wish I had never booked this to begin with.

Six nights of the worst sleep
The room was located under the breakfast rooms and at 6am every morning people were dragging furniture. The housekeeping staff thought it was good to drag trolleys and have loud conversations outside the room which echos immensely. The room smelt and the bed seemed to be prison issue. It was so uncomfortable.

If you need a gym, I would suggest getting a day pass at Anytime Fitness. It is about a mile walk away from the hotel. It's very nice.

Seeing Palermo is a once in a lifetime experience. Eurostars Centrale Palace is in a once grand \"building\" and visiting here is a true traveling back in time. This Sicilian 4 star hotel does not equal a US 4 star standard and may not meet expectations.

They put us in a very small room located under the breakfast floor where it woke both of us up at 7:00am due to the significant noise. The toilet ran and the room had not been updated for probably 50 years. This was the worst stay on our four stop trip. I would not recommend this hotel.

First, and not surprisingly, because the hotel is in the ZTL (Zona Touristica), to drive to a parking spot was quite a trick. Extremely narrow path and you must make sure you give your license plate number to the concierge to make sure you don’t get a ticket. I think the main issues I found was when I checked into the hotel the guy in reception didn't speak English very well so he couldn't understand what I was trying to say which was frustrating. I was simply saying can my friends who live in Palermo come visit me to say hello quickly and he was like oh I need their passports and driving licence and they need to check in if they want to stay the night. This was not what I was asking for, it was simply a quick hello and goodbye but anyway, once he finally understood what I was saying he still said they have to check in at the front desk if they want to come and see you apparently due to Italian laws which I've never heard off and when we stayed in Rome a few days later this was not the case as our friends from Rome came to see us so I'm having a hard time believing him. The second issue was I was still asleep and all of a sudden I heard my door being opened at 10 am in the morning and lights came on immediately and I woke up and said hello from the bedroom and a man's voice in Italian said oh sorry and then left the room and turned the lights off This was very annoying as I was enjoying my sleep and he woke me up now and it made me think he didn't even knock to ask if he could enter my room with my stuff inside very suspicious.

The location of this hotel was in the heart of Palermo. The hotel stag were warm and accommodating . The Terrace bar was a perfect way to end our evenings. Would definitely recommend the Eurostar Centrale again.

This hotel was charming. Old world style. Very nice and comfortable. Was amazed at how quiet the room was given it was on a busy pedestrian street. Parking at the hotel was challenging because you had to drive down this pedestrian street. I thought there was a problem with the air conditioning but realized it was me… did not realize to work it had to be turned to what I thought was heat. Would definitely stay here again. Outside terrace bar was so charming and relaxing.

the hotel was great and the staff was perfect. no problems at all. as a warning to others, the taxi driver that took us to the bus station was an absolute crook. He kept telling me that there isn't bus service from Palermo to Catania on Saturday's, pretended he couldn't find the bus station, wanted me to hire him to drive all the way to Catania at a price of 300 Euro, then wanted 45 Euro from the hotel to the bus station. Love the hotel and staff, the taxi driver isn't anything against them, just a warning to others that use taxis.

The hotel was very well appointed and had beautiful main rooms. Our room was large but a little dated. The location is superb. The one issue I had was the service- the front desk were not very helpful. One example is when we asked about going to Monreale , the front desk told us he would get a taxi and ask them to wait for us to be done to return us. Later that morning we discovered on our own that you get a tour bus there and back for 10 euro. Significantly less than a taxi would have cost.

The hotel has an excellent location, everything is 5-10 min walk, allowing to take breaks during the 40C days. The staff is very friendly and helpful. That is why we stayed there again. It needs major refurbishing, especially the bathrooms. The restaurant has nice views but the food is forgettable.
