Pretty disappointed by my stay here. I was on the first floor which is basically on the street level so I have to close my blinds during the days or I literally have people walking by my window. The couch area has the same problem making it hard to sit there. The walls are also paper thin so it’s quite noisy from both the busy street right next to it and the other people in the halls.

Temperature control is extremely basic, worse than I’ve seen in much cheaper hotels.

No bathtub, no bathrobe which was also disappointing.

Overall I wouldn’t stay here again and I think it’s quite overpriced for what you’re getting. I preferred some of the cheaper hotels I booked in this trip. I will also say that I was surprised they didn’t let me check in until 3pm. I know that’s the designated check in time but I’ve never had to wait so long to check in and it implies they don’t have much cleaning staff.

Sardinero is a fine hotel with larger than average elevators and a restaurant. Our room was quiet, facing the inner courtyard. The terrace has lovely views but is only open until 9:00 pm. The staff is very helpful. The personal care products are wonderful. The shower is exceptional! The temperature in the room is very pleasant and the bed is extremely comfortable. There is even a pillow menu for your convenience. The location is unbeatable; you can be close to many sights without the noise and crowds. The only thing we didn’t like is that we only stayed one night!

Perfect place to stay if you're doing the Madrid Movistar half marathon. The hotel staff were lovely and and very welcoming.
Booked a Deluxe room which was at the front of the hotel - had a lovely view of the fountain and was impressed by how soundproofed the room was from the traffic noise. The room was spacious and equipped with everything we needed including little extras to make the stay luxurious.
The hotel were kind enough to offer breakfast at an earlier time for runners on race day - great selection of hot breakfast, pastries, cereals, fruit, bread, gluten free options and refreshments (hot and cold). The hotel itself was a 10 minute walk to the start line.
Nearby there are plenty of restaurants/cafes and bars within walking distance. Also have the metro station (Alonso Martinez) close by.
Would definitely recommend and stay here again :).

Free water and coffee, extremely clean and the bed was so comfortable! Despite the front (Plaza) facing room it was very quiet at night and the full black out doors/window was extremely helpful to prevent the room from overheating during the day. Walking distance to everything! Would choose again in a heartbeat!

I understand they have their own policy to follow. However, I am a loyal customer with Hotels.com. When I requested to reschedule/cancel this booking. This hotel refused despite of my loyalty.

The place is right next to a Metro station, about 30-40 minutes from the airport. The place has some inevitable stairs for entering after checking in, but staff is very helpful in sorting you out. Rooms are comfortable and quiet despite being next to a big street. Breakfast is the usual continental, quite nice. I could see myself coming back here.

We had one of the Premium rooms with a terrace.
The room was spacious, bed was very comfy and the shower was great and well designed - good pressure, plenty of room and well contained (i.e. no risk of water puddle waiting for you as you come out).
The amenities were more than adequate.
We found the room very quiet (even when facing the main roads below). And I enjoyed my espresso on the terrace in the cold and sunny Winter Madrid.
The hotel is very well located, plenty of good spots within 10min walk or the metro station next door).
We didn't have the breakfast on site so can't comment there.
The staff was very professional and friendly, with special thanks to Alicia for accommodating our various requests on the last day, all with a smile.
We would definitely stay there again during our next visit to Madrid.

Hotel needs routine maintenance. Wallpaper was separating from wall. Coffee stains where people have spilled down the wall. Carpets in the hallways were stained and in need of care. Housekeeping did a very good job in cleaning what was there, but the maintenance issues are clearly beyond their control.

When we checked in, we were told that breakfast was included. When we went to breakfast the next morning we were charged $30. When I checked with the front desk, we were told that their colleague had made a mistake when she told us that we had breakfast included.

Also, for a four star hotel, I would have expected someone to help us with our luggage. That didn't happen. In fact, there was a very steep stairway from the lobby to the elevator. Not a great experience.

We loved our stay at Sardinero Madrid! The location was near plenty of restaurants and is walking distance from the shopping at Gran Via. The hotel and rooms were decorated so tastefully. We had a balcony looking out to the fountain! Everything was very clean and comfortable. Our front desk - Gregori - made us feel so welcome. We would easily come back to stay here!

This hotel was nice, clean, and safe. The room was a little small but we weren’t in the room much so it didn’t matter. However there must have been some kind of construction going on on the floor above us because there was banging and loud noises at random times, day and night, we were not informed that there was construction when we checked in. As a note, the metro stop closest to this hotel is not accessible, it does not have any elevators or escalators. This was a minor inconvenience for us, but could be a bigger problem for others who can not use the stairs.

Beautiful building and property. A good buffet breakfast is available as well as an onsite bar and restaurant. Also lots of restaurants in the area. Location was perfect for walking to the main sites if you enjoy a good stroll through a beautiful city. Metro station also right near the hotel.

Our stay in Sardinero was ok the location is in the Alfonso Martinez neighbourhood with the metro right outside. The room was very clean and beds and pillows were comfortable. The reason I give three stars is the bar/restaurant is completely unattended. Each time we sat in for a drink we had to go to reception after 15-20 mins to ask for someone to serve us. They had special menu advertised on a board outside the restaurant, on every single table and on their website for Monday to Friday 1pm - 11pm for €14 for main, dessert and drink. However when we went to order the girl said it was finished at this time…. 5pm on a Monday. False advertising and a way to get full price out of you. We had no other option as we needed to eat as we were heading out to a concert. This was a very disappointing aspect. They should not advertise this if they’re not offering it. I won’t be returning.

Hotel is next to a metro station and so you can travel to most parts of the city. The hotel breakfast has good range of options and is nice.

The staff are helpful and the rooms are spacious. We had a balcony which was nice.

It can be noisy at times because the hotel is situated on a busy plaza
