The service is decent for the price, and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful. However, the property is in poor condition and needs a major renovation. Also, avoid the breakfast; it’s not worth the money. The quality is terrible, and since you’re in an amazing neighborhood, you’re surrounded by great food places. It’s better to venture out and find a better place to eat.

There are a number of oddly negative reviews about this place. THEY ARE TOTALLY WRONG. Sure, the room had very minor blemishes (of no consequence). But the location has terrific taxi access, is in a very safe clean neighborhood with upscale shops, an indoor mall, VIPS (Mexican/Spanish Denny’s), Starbucks, and a cafe. The hotel breakfast (which you do pay for but it’s not expensive) is awesome. The staff is great. And if you have a family, the quad rooms allow each child to have their own bed, a huge benefit at this price point.

This is a great hotel. I would happily stay at their other locations, trust.

The hotel is very well located, that is about it. It is completely run down, shabby, It doesn't have a bar and only a very simple mini bar. I have no idea how it got 4 stars, I would definitely not recommend it.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, the most a 2 star hotel, facilities are in bad conditions aesthetically speaking, everything worked but needs some TLC, the shower was the only thing my family and I loved. Most of the staff were really polite and helpful, the only ones that need to do a better job is the cleaning staff, there was a lot of dust under the beds like it hasnt been clean in weeks and the hard to reach corners around our room were not clean. There is also a disco club in the back called La Flaca and they pump music till 400 or 500 in the morning rooms are not sound proof enough for that kind of noise, to us it was not something that bother us but, for a review to others is fair to share. If youend up in one of the rooms in the back do not open your curtains there is nothing to see, it looks like an abandon peace of property.

I paid €250 per night (€12 was for breakfast so it was not a free breakfast as your survey indicates) but couldn’t wait to leave. The experience was far from what I expected for what’s marketed as a boutique hotel. The carpet in the hallway was visibly dirty as well as the elevators. The walls in my room were scuffed and in need of repainting. Upon entering the room, I was met with a storage looking area featuring exposed shelves, which gave the space a cluttered and unfinished feel.

I was hoping for a more refined and comfortable atmosphere, especially given the price and the “Petit Palace” branding. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. For comparison, my previous stay at the NH in Madrid was significantly better in terms of cleanliness, design, and overall experience.

Los elevadores y los pasillos no estan limpios. El cuarto está bien. Tienen que cuidar detalles como un foco fundido en el lavamanos, el grifo estaba suelto, la regadera de mano se caía. Creo que con un poco de mantenimiento y limpieza el hotel estaría mejor. La ubicación es excelente

The hotel is very well located, half a block from Serrano. The staff is super helpful. Breakfast is very good and complete. Rooms and bathroom are of good size and comfortable. However the hotel needs to be refurbished. The lobby furnishings are old and in bad shape. The walls and carpet in the hallways in the bedroom floors are very worn out, scratched and peeled off. The tiles to the elevator are cracked, etc.

Very friendly staff. A little strange there was a kettle in the room but no cups or tea & coffee, although you could help yourself to free drinks in the lobby from 13.00 - 23.00. We stayed here for the Half Marathon and the location was perfect. Nice shops & restaurants nearby.

Great location, NOT A/C!!!!!!

The location of this hotel is perfect and the staff is very friendly but I wouldn’t stay here again bc it doesn’t have air conditioning for several months of the year. We went last week and the weather was nice (60’sF) but the room was very hot. Couldn’t sleep for even an hour. I DO NOT recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, bad service experience

This is a really nicely appointed hotel and a good value. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, strong AC. Major complaint however was the check-in, where our rez didn’t immediately come up in the receptionist (Mada)’s system, and she was annoyed and rude about it. That attitude aside, she basically would have had us leave except we insisted on digging in and it was eventually determined we needed to key in the Expedia confirmation # (not Hotels.com) for her to find it. I suspect some people who don’t speak Spanish might actually have been turned away and had to find alternative accommodation and seek a refund. This was figured out by us, not the receptionist. I feel everyone (hotels and customers) need to understand that while Hotels.com is a consumer brand, on the backend it is Expedia and that is what they need to look for.

Small room but very nice

The room was a lot smaller and very different than it looked in the pictures but it was clean. We had a double bed with twin bunk beds for 3 of us. The breakfast buffet and the staff were excellent. The area that the hotel was in had plenty of nice shops and restaurants in walkable distance.

The bedside tables (weren’t tables) made me very nervous, being just a slab hanging in the air. One was glass!!! Seemed very dangerous, the other was plywood and was wobbly, like someone had placed force on it and it might collapse at any minute. Thankfully nothing happened, but I suggest replacing these for some more firm normal tables to avoid accidents.
