Pleasant and convenient

I had a great stay at Residencia Universitaria Resa Claudio Coello.
-Location is excellent—situated in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, yet just a short 5-block walk to Nuñez de Balboa metro station, which made getting around the city super convenient. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, offering lots of options for dining out.
-The residence itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained. My room was comfortable and provided everything I needed for a 3-day stay.
-The included breakfast was a pleasant bonus—fresh and varied, with both hot and cold options to start the day right.

A valuable and interesting concept

This is a student residence that offers short-term accommodation as well. As such, the apartments are spacious and have some amenities that even better hotels often do not have in the rooms, such as cutlery. My room did not have a 'do not disturb' sign for the door, and the cleaning service wanted to enter the room at unusual times quite often as a result. The wi-fi was fast and reliable, though one has to insert a whole host of personal data upon the first login to the system, which may have to do with this being accustomed to students residing there for several months and is less suited for short-term guests. Breakfast was offered extra, which was a generous gesture. Overall, even though there are some aspects that could be improved, this is a very promising accommodation format with a good location in Madrid that is also affordable and accessible.

This place was great. Great value for solo travel. On the one night I stayed there was unfortunately a drunk man yelling in the hallway, but my best guess is that is a rare occurence. Otherwise, the food was good and the room had all of the basic necessities. Very convenient for a quick stopover on the way to another city. Kudos to all of the young people staying there who were very respectful and quiet even on the rooftop in the evening.

Had a great weekend stay here w/ my gf.
It's a dormitory so the vibe was cool. The room is a set-up for a student so only one bed side table - not a huge deal but nice for both people to have a place for their morning coffee. Also, the wi-fi was tricky - we were only able to connect for one day. The service was provided by the security guards - very sweet but not informed of all the amenities eg pool hours, etc. and no dish soap provided so we used the shampoo in the room to wash cups/mugs. Overall, a great stay and would return. And location was nice - tree-lined, near the bus/metro and super convenient to get to the airport.

Excellent stay

Very nice stay and I wish I had stayed for longer. The unit has a kitchenette with induction stovetop and a microwave. Rooms are small-ish but not small enough to bother you. The board game and library lounge in the ground floor is excellent. So is the swimming pool on top. I'm surely going to stay again.

A Gem!

I loved everting from the helpfulness of the staff to the room. Location is excellent. Internet flawless.
Being a uni residence you can expect a bit of noise at night but nothing terrible. Mattress was very hard for my taste but I requested extra pillows and that helped a lot. Great location to enjoy Salamanca neighborhood

Good little studio, adequate for a couple of nights and great location. The plunge pool does the job of cooling you down (it's been 104° F/40 °C) but the pool could be a little cleaner. Very attentive and friendly staff. You're allowed guests to join you at the pool and they enjoyed it. The hallways are boiling, this is a shame. Basic cooking amenities (sauce pan, frying pan, sieve) so adequate if on a budget/don't fancy heading out. Many food options nearby. I'd recommend it and go again.

Fantastic cost-benefit for Madrid.
Pros: Location, cleanliness, politeness and professionalism by the staff, vibrant atmosphere, powerful air conditioning even with 39°C outside, room service, very good priced meals.
Could be better: the cooktop becomes useless as there are no pans or cookers; studio is a little smaller and less comfortable, when we compare to similar ones from other cities. But considering the general high prices from Madrid, it is an excellent deal.

Lo peor, el tipo de público que se aloja en la Residencia, gente joven que no les preocupa hacer ruido a altas horas de la noche...
Durante vigilias de festivos, imposible dormir, pues ese \"público\" irrespetuoso regresa de sus juergas a las 4 y 5 de la madrugada, hablando y gritando por zonas comunes y pasillos como si fueran las 12 del mediodía.

Located near a supermarket and restaurants, so I never worry about food. Vending machines are also available. It’s a short distance to Mercado de la Paz, Corte Íngles and biblioteca. One reminder is there’s no cleaning service at the weekend.

La atención del personal desde la llegada y durante nuestra estadía fue genial. Las instalaciones limpias y las habitaciones son muy cómodas, llegamos en una habitación con 2 camas individuales.
Está muy bien comunicado, muy cerca del metro Nuñez del Balboa, salida línea 5. El desayuno es bueno.

Mesa plegable de pared, taburete y silla. Escritorio largo. Armarios para ropa y para cocina que incluía utensilios como tazas y platos etc. Gran ventanal con mucha luz. Aire acondicionado para frío y calor. No tiene tv, pero si tiene tomas de tv para poder ver canales digitales con tus dispositivos. Me dejaron hacer el chekin bastante antes de la hora. La atención tanto telefónica como de recepción fue muy atenta, amable y rápida. La ubicación no puede ser mejor, pleno centro de Madrid en el barrio de Salamanca. Zona buenísima con muchos negocios de todo tipo cerca. Incluido un supermercado a veinte pasos de la entrada de la residencia. Y relación calidad precio insuperable. Es por la situación actual por covid-19, pero me ha permitido poder disfrutar por un precio excepcional de esta estancia. De otra manera sería inaccesible para mi económicamente. Gracias por todoX
