The hotel appears to be a new hotel. The physical appearance is excellent. The room had plenty of space and was very clean. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The restaurant and the bar are very good. The hotel is located in a very good neighborhood. The hotel is very close to a metro stop (Cartagena) so you don't have to be in the city center to see the tourist sites, and you can spend some time in an authentic neighborhood. Getting to the airport by taxi takes about 20-30 minutes, and taxis frequently make rounds to the hotel. We didn't have to wait long to get a taxi to the airport when we left.

My friend’s backpack was stolen during the check out, when we were at the reception. Staff didn’t provide the images from security camera, they just shared the police station ‘s address and no more support. Police informed it is very common AT THIS HOTEL!

We have room 511, extremely small room with afternoon sun, very hot and can not open the shades. Barely enough room just go around the bed. Not enough room to put suitcases anywhere. Hotel is quite far from all the popular sights. Must transfer if using metro to sights and it takes minimum 20-30 minutes. It takes >50 minutes if take a bus, and it costs almost 30 Euros by taxi from Plaza Mayor. Coffee machine in the lobby but you have to pay to buy a capsule, pretty cheap. It is pricy for what you get. Had stay in many AC hotel before and this one is very disappointing. No hot water boiler, the capsule coffee machine is not adequate to make hot water or tea.

From the entrance you can see the deterioration of the property...see the carpet.

They gave us a room on the 6th floor with the wooden floor very deteriorated so I requested a change, which was much better on the 2nd floor.

I think it is a expensive hotel for the area and the look... not very Marriott

Good Bed and Hot Water!

After 2 weeks in Morocco this hotel provided some real comfort with a great bed, linens, towels and hot water. Not really a great spot for tourists but a solid business hotel...breakfast ok once we sorted out and proved our included breakfast which on entering we were told it was not included...shen i explained we confirmed it at check in i just got a strong NO! She did not offer to sort it out for us and left us to go to reception and drag the reception staff in to tell them it was included...otherwise a solid stay...just a note that I am a regular to Madrid and i find most hotels here overpriced for what they are. While the stay was solid so was the price!

Room was great, nothing to complain about. Also gym room was pretty good. I picked this hotel as it was very close to M7, so easy to get to and get back from Estadio Cívitas Metropolitano. Lots of shops nearby, a big Lidl right next to the hotel, great restaurants in a walking distance. Easy to get to the airport, if you dont have luggage, with the same metro. Or a short trip with Bolt or Uber which is less than 20 euros. I'm definitely going back there next time i travel to Madrid. Loved the place.

Excellent, friendly and polite front desk staff. Good location, close to metro. A grocery store and coffeeshop half a block away and a good restaurant across the street. Very spacious room and big, modern bathroom. Mattress of sofa bed quite thin and uncomfortable, though. This needs improvement but, otherwise, very satisfied with stay.

I love how convenient the location is, a straight bus to the airport and around the corner from the subway to move around the city. Walking distance to the best of the Salamanca neighborhood. Very quiet and clean.

Could have been better!

Overall really nice and quiet neighborhood to stay at, with close proximity to metro stations and supermarket. Room was also spacious and clean. However we felt that they were taking being environmentally friendly to the extreme because they can't even provide more than 5 pieces of tissue paper each time.

Room as per picture ..what was odd is no draws and limited cupboard space 1 side of the wardrobe is for guest's the other is for the fridge and coffee machine so if staying longer is a pain.

Area is very well connected.. Number 1 bus route is on the same road which goes to all the main places straight across the city .. 2 stations round the corner.

Quick bite to eat in restaurant turned into lengthy ordeal. Lack of English speaking staff made it worse. Shame on Marriott

Too noisy for a good nights rest

The staff at this hotel were very friendly. Checking in was very easy and convenient. One slightly weird thing for a hotel of this size is that the to get in, you had to press a buzzer for the staff to open. This was a little annoying every time you enter the hotel you have to wait for someone to open the door for you.
The rooms are also not sound proofed against the street. You can hear cars passing during the night and people walking by making noise. The first night you could hear people shouting outside from the fourth floor. If you’re a light sleeper, this isn’t the place for you. AC is also fairly old with poor controls. You can’t set the temperature, it’s just a dial for hot or cold.

Food in the restaurant was cold and dry. I ate it because i was hungry...eur 17 later!! The noise of traffic in my room is loud. Restaurant service is aweful...i syood waiting for a table for a long time and was just about to leave to go and a waiter came over.

The hotel specifies that it counts with air conditioning. However, it clearly was not working since the room was on 25C. When I look up for a hotel I make sure it meets my needs and this time it didn’t give us what it specified online.

Was not told this hotel was under re-development until we got there, rooms were not as advertised in the pictures. Even simple things such as extra pillows, blankets etc had to be asked for from reception. Note there isn't even a safety deposit box in the rooms, you have to speak to reception to get one. Overall really poor experience with this hotel.

Nice and easy

Nice and simple with the basic you need for a good night sleep. Good location with cool restaurants and tascas around. The only thing would say is missing, was a proper bar to work and have a drink.

I liked the overall condition of the room and the hotel. I liked the neighborhood. Not very touristic, yet accessible to museums and shopping. I am taking a star away for service. I called to request an iron and instead of telling me that it wasn’t their policy, they said ok but it never arrived. I asked the chambermaid, she said she’ll get it, but she never came back with it.

Location was away from the main districts but, a plus because it was close to metro station and the best Paella restaurant in Spain! On the other hand, street maintenance took place directly behind the hotel and early morning street noise was definitely a factor. Bar and restaurant is only open Monday-Friday until 11pm. The restaurant area is open for the breakfast buffet only on Saturday and Sunday! This definitely caught me off guard being a three star rating. Toilet flushing button did not function late morning on the second day and was not addressed and repaired until late on the third AFTERNOON! This was unsatisfactory in my opinion and is the reason I will never stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. As a person who does not eat much meat, the breakfast offered did not provide much variety and was not worth the money. Overall, a very nice stay.
