Nice room size. Bed felt very fragile. Just a matters on a wooden legs. Can’t move much without making noice. Restroom was a good size, but shower was clogged. Great water pressure though! Room had no views. AC was weak. Towels were paper thin and only two provided. Only recommend if traveling on a budget and you don’t need a super comfy stay. Very conveniently located across from the train, 15 mins away from the center and 40 mins from the airport or 15 mins if driving. Staff was very sweet. Food available in the area. There is a supermarket right next to it where you cab get water and snacks as they are very overpriced at the hotel. Nice breakfast and lunch spots steps away.

This hotel is located directly outside a huge construction site. Deep excavation works currently underway at the Las Ventas Subway located outside the hotel entrance and directly outside all rooms with ‘views’ of the Bullring. Strongly advise paying extra for Bullring ‘views’ as the noise is horrendous. Starting c 7.45am to past 8pm. No chance for siesta or rest after a busy day in Madrid as the noise was unbearable with deep excavation machinery. We were offered another room, the window faced onto a brick wall. The hotel ought to advise all future residents of this work. It has been going on since last year and due to continue for the foreseeable. Paying customers ought to

It was all updated but simple and clean. The Ventas metro was literally across the street. It was right next to the bull fighting ring which was a fascinating area. Great shower and soft towels. Bed was comfy and very clean. We also LOVED that there was a Carefour Express (grocery store) about 20 steps from the front door which had yummy fresh bread, cheeses, fruits, alcohol (beer, wine and vodka, etc..) water and everything was so very inexpensive. Also, we asked for a bucket of ice each day, upon our return, for our room happy hour and that was never a problem. Great staff, clean and updated and a fabulous location, book it!!

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in, in a long time.
Very basic rooms, that were really hot. I asked why aircon wasn’t working to be told “it’s not on at this time of year” so had to keep window open above busy, noisy, polluted road. Would never stay here again.

Basic Hotel Sufficient for Short Stay

With one word, basic hotel. It's in fairly decent condition for the price and also fairly clean but just super basic in terms of what it offers. For example just two bath towels for two people, no hand or face towels. Once you take a shower and come out with water dripping off your hair, you won't have a towel to dry your hands with. Not even a trash bin or an extra blanket in the room. Overall we stayed just one night and it met our needs. We liked that it was pet-friendly and had paid parking next door.

We checked in at midnight. I suspect that we were deliberately allocated our room at that time as we would have been unaware that the window looked out on a wall about two metres away. I suppose someone has to have these rooms: it was unfortunate that it was us. Two nights here was a night too far. Ibis are a budget chain and it would be unrealistic to expect anything better. The bed was comfortable and the room, whlilst sparsely furnished was clean and adequate. My general rule of thumb is, would I stay here again? The answer being a resounding, 'No'.

I had to get my printed reservation to show i booked room with a view , they gave me one without first. The hotel was pretty simple , wifi didn't work , but stuff made it work at the end. Over all clean and simple. Good location if you there to watch bullfighting.

We needed a hotel for one night close to the MAD airport. This hotel was clean and comfortable. Room was very minimal in terms of decor and amenities. There were only two towels in the bathroom and no other size towels. The breakfast was great and had plenty of options. The front desk was very helpful in getting us a taxi in the morning. I would recommend.

Two night stay before joining a tour of 14 days. Room was bigger than the usual Ibis rooms, bathroom was also bigger which was pleasant. Towels nice and thick, everything in room clean. Aircon quiet which is always a plus when staying in hotels. Small supermarket around the corner, general supplies was adequate. Wish more rooms would provide coffee & tea making facilities plus fridge. Especially when the climate is hot. We only need some yoghurt and fruit for breakast. Was able to get tea from the bar and take to my room which was very nice especially after being out walking for several hours.Position of hotel was good able to walk to a number of landmarks especially beautiful park Parque del Buen Retiro, Madrid. 19th-century park with boating lake & rose garden, plus numerous fountains & statues. Also a few places to eat or obtain a ice cream or drink. Staff on reception very helpful and pleasant. Would stay here again, not 5 star but you don't stay at Ibis expecting this but it is not a budget hotel either. Provided a comfortable, clean and relaxing stay.

The subway is located right across from the hotel, so you can easily go to the center of town. Neighborhood is safe, not too much too do around here comparing to Puerta del Sol. Room is VERY basic (there is no safe), they only provide 2 towels and a small shower rug, the soaps are attach to the walls. Can be noisy during the day with the cars honking and the pedestrian walkway blind alert. The bar downstairs is convenient and affordable. Very clean place.

Plenty of local restaurants and bars. For a good cheep meal VIPS is across the road. Access to Metro is just across the road also for easy access to Centro Madrid. Or walk to main shops / Park or palace and Cathedral in 45 mins. P.S If you won't a good full cup of coffee. Go to Tim Hortons, Various branches around.

Hotel is clean, decent and comfortable. Amenities are basic. Neighborhood is quiet. There is a grocery right beside it. It is far from the center but metro station is a few steps away. From the station, there are a few stops to the city center Sol/Plaza Mayor area. Front desk was not so helpful with respect to information on tours. Airport transfers are also not available even if there is a bus at the airport which shows Ibis/Novotel.

Covenient for Metro but trafiiic noise an issue

Located next to a Metro station was very convenient, classic Ibis, good, clean, modern. One criticism is that this hotel overlooks a very busy road junction and the noise can be horrendous. We were there early April and the air con was not available so we needed the window open at night and although the windows only open a few inches it was impossible. Next morning we asked to move to a quiet room and did. Much better.

No frills (eg no kettle in room) but decent price and good, spacious and comfortable room with big bathroom and nice shower. 24hr reception very helpful when arriving on a late flight; there is also a 24hr bar (reasonably priced) and they allowed us to leave our bags for the day when we checked out, at no charge.

It's a convenient spot for getting around, about a minute's walk from Ventas metro, and a 20min walk to the Wizink Centre (we came to see a band play there). There's a supermarket next door and lots of shops, cafes etc on Calle de Alcala which runs past the hotel and directly to the centre of town. If you are inclined to walk all the way it would probably be 45mins/1hr to walk to the Puerta del Sol.

Opposite the hotel is also the attraction of Ventas bullring which is a pleasant way to spend a bit of time wandering around. I'd also recommend Quinta la Candela a couple of doors down (restaurant/bar) for a quiet drink, they were friendly and the wine was good.

I stayed in this hotel for one night with my husband a baby. Room was clean and comfortable. Nothing particularly notable about the interior but it served its purpose. Breakfast hall was very nice with a view of the city and the breakfast was fine. Location is really great (right next to the Plaza del Torros). It is a $30 taxi trip to the airport. Would stay again - great place for the price!

Stayed two night during my business visit. Very conveniently located 200 meters off the subway station. Room is standard for Ibis Hotels. Simple and convenient. A supermarket store is about 300 meters away. I would stay again when again in Madrid

The hotel is excellent, very modern and clean, with own parking garage. It is positioned right next to the Bull ring, just off the motorway, really easy to locate and next to a metro station. The staff were all lovely and attentive, nothing was too much trouble.

Good location besides Ventas subway station which is a few stops away or about 50-60mins nice walk to Plaza Mayor. Convenient with grocery store downstairs and cafes around. Wifi/ internet is provided with excellent coverage. Room is clean but do be prepared with your own amenities.

Great location for the bullring (for Red Bull XFighters that is, not bull fighting).

Easy to get to as 2 mins away from Metro station.

Excellent hotel for the price, clean, comfortable bed, great air con, great shower.
Only downsides = Food a bit basic, TV stations in English are very limited

We stayed 3 nights and got a room wuth view to an internal glazed yard. The room was small and dark, it was not possible to open the window (just a bit), due to the heat has to use the air-con all night. As the room is small, aircon flows on your body, when you cover yourself with the blanket, it's unbearably hot and mucky under it. We had 3 sleepless nights!
The staff doesn't speak English. When we ordered some drinks at the bar, they were not pleasant at all.
We felt like being in a jail for 4 days, it's a bad value for money.

I was very impressed with Ibis Madrid Centro Las Ventas. The room was large with an extremely comfortable bed and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly and I greatly enjoyed my stay. My only note would be that the wifi strength wasn't brilliant in my room, but this wasn't really an issue for me, and it just meant it was a bit slower than usual to load web pages. It was my first Ibis experience and I would happily recommend the hotel.
