For a 4 star hotel it was disappointing to see there was no facilities in the room to make a cup of tea. At night I had to go downstairs to the bar and pay 2.50 Euros each time i would want a cup of tea…But they have a full stock up mini bar with alcoholic drinks which to me was useless. Not even a complimentary water bottle on arrival

This was a great stay! I was visiting family, and staying alone. I felt the location was easy to navigate, safe, and comfortable. It was relaxing to come here at the end of a long sight seeing day. The facilities were really good, the room comfortable, the staff helpful, and all was clean. The service at the restaurant was good, and it was nice to have an option for room service. I had a very late check-in due to a late flight. The staff was quick to greet me and then was helpful in storing my luggage after check-out.

The location of this hotel beside the Metro and nearby Barcelo Market offer easy transportation and a lot of good food options.

The breakfast buffet was really nice and had a lot of options.

Its a decent 4-star hotel for the price.

Something at this hotel really triggered my allergies. I'm not sure what it was but they cleared up when I was out for the whole day, and right after I checked out. For that reason alone, I wouldn't stay here again.

Both Rooms were clean. Despite being compact for American standards. it was well planned and utilitarian. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is convenient and good with a small restaurant with goodbreakfast on premises and a well-known restaurant diagonally across. There's a small Convenience store open very late (around midnight).

I would not recommend staying here.

The staff member who checked me in was dismissive and unhelpful. When I asked about parking, he repeatedly spoke over me and gave unclear answers instead of simply addressing my question.

I also asked if the key card needed to stay in the slot for the power/AC to work. He insisted it did not, but when I got to the room, it clearly did. When I requested an extra key, he told me I could get it later instead of providing it right away, which felt unnecessarily difficult.

The bathroom was not properly cleaned, which was disappointing.

Most concerning, I left a watch in the room and called immediately after checking out. I was told it could not be found, but I am certain I left it there. This left me with a very negative impression.

Overall, my experience was frustrating and I would suggest choosing another hotel.

Super convenient location, super close to the metro station and was able to walk to restaurants, shopping centers, and the Gran Via. Hotel room was nice and clean as well with super friendly and accommodating staff, was able to help out with any problems or questions we had no problem. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Gran Versalles in Madrid. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We had initially requested a higher floor room, and to our surprise and delight, they upgraded us to a VIP room on the 8th floor—what a wonderful gesture!

The VIP room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered great views of the city. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the amenities provided exceeded expectations. The location is also ideal—quiet, yet close to everything, including metro access and charming local cafes.

Customer service here is truly exceptional. Everyone at the front desk was professional, friendly, and attentive to every detail. This level of care made us feel truly valued as guests.

We will definitely return to Gran Versalles the next time we’re in Madrid. Highly recommended!

Great location. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable. The AC wasn’t very strong so it was warm, the AC was also loud. There wasn’t hand soap in the bathroom and the body soap came out of the dispenser in tiny amounts so you needed to keep pumping it, which isn’t really Four Star experience. I asked for a wake up call and a taxi because I had a very early flight. The taxi was arranged but I didn’t get a wake up call.

Front desk agent Camilo, and the blonde lady that she always work in the morning, sorry I forgot her name and the two young guys in the afternoon are very helpful, friendly, excellent workers. The breakfast attendees, Maria and Yusnavis at restaurant, and all the housekeepers team are awesome.
The entire team does a really good job every day specially when the entire country was out of power.
I don’t have enough words to describe how much appreciated we’re from all of you.
Gran Versalles Hotel is my new home in Madrid.

You can tell the quality of staff when they are faced with an unexpected challenge. During the blackout on April 28th, the staff went above and beyond to ensure their guests were safe and cared for. Staff kept guests informed of the situation, placed lighting in stairs and lobby, kept the restaurant open to feed guests, and escorted guests to their rooms when needed. We selected this hotel due to it’s proximity to the Rock and Roll Marathon start and finish lines and were not disappointed. Staff is highly professional and caring. Madrid is very walkable, but if you need the metro, a station is less than a 5 minute walk. Restaurant is excellent. Room was large enough for our one week stay. Cleaned daily by the very attentive maid service. Their actions during the blackout ensured a safe and quality stay.

Overall good stay. All the things are better except there is no electric kettle and tea/ coffee facility in the room which was abit annoying for me as this is a basic provision for any hotel.
I liked that Hotel provided umbrella every time I needed to go outdoor as the weather was rainy and stormy.

Great property and location; however, when booking with Expedia single room, they rooms are located on the side of the building that needs to go stairs to get to the elevator and the rooms are very small. I had to switched rooms the next day to the right side of the building with elevator. Also, property is a little noisy, wood floors don’t help, I hear the room upstairs, but overall it was a great place and very well located. Staff was friendly and they were able to accommodate my request to change room. I will return.

The front desk staff were very friendly from the minute we walked through the door. The hotel is super cute and had a great little lobby to gather in. The room was great. Very clean. The mattress was a little hard for our taste but that is just a personal opinion. This was right off a Main Street. So we had the luxury of walking and being very close to a Main Street yet we didn’t hear anything. It was very easy to get to from the airport and there are three Metro stations within a block, so getting places was very simple. We were within walking distance of so many sites. We would definitely stay here again!

Pros: Area is fantastic, very clean Cons: the mattresses are terrible..., I would not be surprised if the mattress I git is at least 30 years old; the staff is not flexible with check in times; I saw how many families left the hotel from 9am, but they would not let you go to your room until 1pm...., they should understand that half their guest are travelling from the other side of the world and need to rest

The stay was a disappointment somewhat. Upon entering, we were met with indifference from the staff. Warm greetings and smile would have been a pleasant start. The room was dated, not modern. On the wall was heavy bulky “pant presser” that fell on floor.
There was no coffee or tea pot, no fridge in the room. What a disappointment, as I like to have a cup of coffee or tea in bed. Only stocked mini bar. I requested to remove all alcohol (due to religious and personal reasons) they refused. They do have bar downstairs, it was really not necessary.
Small old TV.
Bathroom was okay, double sinks, stand in shower. After one person had shower, hot water ran out. Personal hygiene items were available.
Location was good for those who like to walk, a lot of shopping, sightseeing within walking distance.
Next time we will try other place to stay.

But overall a pleasant stay. Best to Bring your own shampoo and soap, the stuff there is not great. Also, most hotels offer water and coffee in your room which is complementary but not here. Thanks

Property is in good overall condition. One disappointment is therr is no any welcome water bottle included in the stay! So make sure you have your bottle for start as shops are closed around 9pm if you arriving later. Location of the property is in walkable distance to public transport links

Convenient location within walking distance of many of the attractions of Madrid with plenty of really nice restaurants in the Plaza Santa Barbara round the corner.
