The area is in is great! It’s super close to everything. The hostel itself isn’t a really friendly environment. Everyone keeps to themselves. The beds weren’t the most comfortable. May 2024 weekend in Madrid

The hostel is in a great area of the city. The rooms ,the shower need an update on general.
I did not feel this hostel has the same standards of other hostel i stayed in the past. Would i go back. Yes in regards of the friendly and welcoming staff. But i would not go back in regards of the hostel quality.
Sorry I have just been honest.
I feel the rooms need an update.

Beds are cheap and trash. Needs to get better one.

The place /building and location was great. It is close to shopping, restaurants, and walking distance to almost everything needed. The only worst part are the beds. They shake too much. It's old style. Compared to other hostels, their bunk beds are cheap and trash. Get rid of those and change to better, non shaky, more sturdy then I'll give you 4 to 5 star review. Fyi- I moved to generator Madrid and they have wayyyyy better beds than this hostel.

En carpeta el trato de algunos empleados fue desagradable, nunca ofrecieron alguna via para solucionar nada, hasta hubo maltratos de palabras.
El sistema de apertura del grifo es incómodo, la prioridad es el ahorro y no la satisfacción de los clientes, apenas 15 segundos en la ducha y a empujar de nuevo para otros 15 segundos, en el lavamanos para tibiar el agua necesitaba mantenerme de 10 minutos en adelante apretando el grifo.
No volveré a hospedarme ahí y mucho menos recomebdarlo.

Location is great.
The room is very basic but enough for a short stay. Bathroom is big but for some reason the water stoped running every 15 sec and I had to press the bottom again (not sure if it's for saving or just a malfunction)

The place was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. However the bed was poor at best: lumpy and soft. The window was into a workroom of some sort. Why even have a window? When I asked for a glass to use in the room (that’s right, there was nothing to drink out of in the room), all they could give were paper cups.

The property is under major renovation. Be aware there is no access to the kitchen or to the rooftop. The room itself was nice (freshly renovated, super modern and even quite \"hip\") but dark (window facing the interior courtyard with the A/C unit) and very hot.The property remains a good deal overall. The location is great and the staff is nice.

Great location. Verey close to all main attractions of Madrid center. 24 hour service. Great price, nice clean rooms. Bathroom design was the worst part of the experience. Separate toilet and shower are a plus but only if there would be a sink in toilet section and there is none. Shower is small but what is even worse that you need to walk into a shower cabin in order to be able to open or close outside door, at first it is funny but joke wears out very quickly. Simple inexpensive breakfast. Great place for young travelers on a tight budget or someone that just needs a place to sleep the night.

It's a fantastic find in the heart of Madrid

This is a fantastic, fun and funky hotel. I booked a private room and it was big with balconies on to the street. The decor is minimalist and straight out of a magazine. Really thoughtful. My only slight issue was my a/c wasn't working. I'm sure they would have fixed it, but as I was there for only one night after a long flight, I didn't bother. Will be back here again for a great night in Madrid.

I booked 3 double rooms for 5 of us. We arrived from the airport via the underground to find everything shuttered up and graffiti on the walls. However after a little search around we discovered, that the address was actually 2 doors down.

The staff were very friendly and booked us in swiftly. The hostel is over 5 floors and our rooms were very clean and neat. There was bedding and towels for everyone. The breakfast is 2 Euros, but is not the best. though suited our needs for the 2 days. To walk to La Latinas takes about 15 minutes if you know where you are going and about the same to Parque de El Retiro.

There is wifi within the building, however I did not use it, though I think my friends did and it seemed to be a good signal.

It was lovely. Such good value for money. So modern and clean and well kept. I loved the style and the staff were helpful. The aircon was a life saver in the Madrid heat. It is easy to find and only a very short walk from Chueca station and the general area is fab and central.

Perfect base for a central Madrid city break

I had seen Room 007 on a previous visit to Madrid so I vowed to stay there next time I was back in the city. I wasn't disappointed. This place has hostel facilities but is more like a very good hotel. I had a private double room with en suite and it was clean, modern and well presented. The beds are really comfortable and there is excellent wifi service and air con. The location of this hotel is perfect for any central city break: 1 min to Chueca Metro spot, 3 minute walk to Gran Via, about 10-12 minute walk to Plaza Mayor and 15-20 minutes to Parque del Retiro. It's a perfect base for a city break. The hotel offers some classic meals suitable for a quick dinner and a simple and incredibly cheap breakfast to start the day. The staff were really pleasant throughout and my stay here was perfect.

Its a hostel, so lets be honest you expect it to be lively. Annoyed that when i booked a double, they gave me a quad room so basically was sleeping in a bunk bed. People singing happy birthday in the main area at 1.00 am is annoying. Other annoyance was the most extraordinary situation of having a conversation with the female receptionist with me speaking Spanish (albeit with an English accent) and she was speaking English Note, if someone is speaking Spanish they want to practice, not be spoken back to in English. First time it happens its no problem, second time its annoying, third time its very rude. Exception was the male receptionist who was friendly, and continued to speak to in Spanish.

I went on a party holiday to Madrid with friends and we stayed at the hostel. It is in the centre of everything, walking distance from anything you could want in Madrid. The atmosphere was quality in the communal areas, the staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Overall a fantastic place to stay if your looking for a base from which to explore Madrid.

First time staying in a hostel...

This was our first time staying in a hostel and it was amazing. Did not disappoint one bit and actually made me wish we had booked more hostels during the rest of our euro tour. The guys at the front desk were extremely friendly, funny and informative. The place itself had a fun and quirky decor, was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well-located. The breakfast was only okay, with the same 3 things served every morning - a small wedge of spanish omelette (aka tortilla), a piece of bread and a churro - along with your choice of coffee, tea or orange juice. My only complaint would be the attitude of the girl serving breakfast...it was as if being there was the last place she wanted to be. Apart from that, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend!

I think is a different Hostel we a different look. The personal in the front desk were very nice (Aitor is the best). We are a couple and they have a disability persons room, we are not disability but we was there and I think is a great option for this people.
The bad part of this vacation was always offer the same breakfast, Corn flake, bread, butter, apricot jam, milk, coffee or orange juice (no both) and churros. And they have a girl in the restaurant(Colombian girl) she give us an horrible attention, We think she was the worse service we receive during our vacation around Spain (15 days).

An excellent location, absolutely ideal for a visit to Madrid.
There were absolutely no problems with the hotel apart from the fact there are no cupboards to hang clothes (talking about the private room if booked, not the hotel.). Apart from that it's well worth the money.

We stayed at 4 beds room, the room decoration is bright, neat and clean as recommended by travelers, however, air condition is set at 22 degree Celsius is too cold for elderly parents and no side table for our food though a locker is assighed to each of us. Suggest to have a side table for family to have a short break for a cup of coffee/tea when in the room.

Excellent budget accommodation for short weekend

Stayed here for a stag weekend. We were all surprised how nice the place was for a hostel. The decor is contemporary and clean. Rooms are very clean and have separate shower, toilet and sink, making it convenient when sharing with other room mates. The rooms have bunk beds which come with individual plug sockets and lamp. There are lockers in the room for storage of personal items. Key for locker is charged at a refundable 5 euros.
The room is also fully air conditioned. There is a communal room with full kitchen facilities and a nice but small terrace. However the communal room is occupied during the night by back packers who aren't guests sleeping on the bean bags. There are cctv cameras everywhere but security could be better. The staff were happy to give room keys without any question. My room mate came back in the early hours with no key and was given one easily. Other than that it is a very pleasant place to stay which I would recommend.

Ok location, concern with cleanliness

We are a group of 8 friends staying in two private rooms for three nights.
Pro- location, close to metro, walking distance from Sol and Plaza Mayor
Con- air conditioning in room, very hot and stuffy, window opens to central courtyard which is covered, noise from bar and restaurant in the courtyard until 2 in the morning.
One check in clerk told us that they don't turn on the air conditioner until summer, the next day another told us that he will have someone look at it. When we got back at night we still have no air, was very hot and stuffy in the room. The night clerk Aitol helped us and in 10 minutes we had air conditioning, thank you Aitol!
There was only one chair and one small table in the room for four people. We sat on the bunk beds, we are shorter people and still hit our heads if we were not careful.
When we packed to check out, we found a thick layer of dust on the bottoms of our luggages that we put on the floor! It seemed the room was never vacuumed.
The water saving feature meant you have to keep pushing the knob every feel seconds when you are brushing your teeth or taking a shower.
For these reasons we will not stay in this hostel again in the future.

Very nice localisation in Chuecas.
It seems there 2 patios possible for rooms views
- one with the simple but nice ambience restaurant
- one horrible painted in beige
Mine was the 2nd one, I felt like in jail!
Otherwise, the hostel is nice and the staff should know better about the neighborhood for giving good tips.
At last, I left the place with good vibes.

Overall enjoyed my stay but if you whant to use wifi think twice, although the wifi is available it is so slow you can't even download your emails. My room was small and cosy but very dark with a small window facing another 3 windows so no privacy unless you stay in darkness with the blind down. Finally TV was on a side wall and not facing the bed which made watching TV practically impossible.

Das Zimmer an sich war in Ordnung, das Bett bequem und es gab eine schöne Aussicht von der Terrasse. Auf der 5. Etage war es angenehm ruhig und die Lage für uns optimal.
Leider ist das Wasser mehrfach ausgefallen und die Heizung war mit 23 Grad viel zu warm eingestellt und nicht regelbar.
Richtig schlimm war der Toilettengeruch, der aus dem Abfluss der Dusche kam.
Und sorry: Bei einer Buchung für 6 Nächte nach frischen Handtüchern fragen und diese extra bezahlen zu müssen, ist eigentlich ein No-Go.

O quarto disponível era um bom quarto para uma rápida estadia. A localização excelente para quem busca uma região animada e com muitas possibilidades próximas inclusive para fazer andando. Tivemos um problema com o ar-condicionado do quarto que não foi resolvido. O problema foi identificado no checkin e para tentar amenizar nos deram um ar-condicionado portátil mas que para uso precisava deixar a janela aberta, resultando em barulho e pouca efetividade do equipamento. Como disseram que não poderiam nos trocar de quarto nada mais foi feito, além de nos pedirem que fôssemos “pacientes”

O quarto era pequeno mas comportou todas nós com facilidade, as camas são beliche e a de cima balança um pouco quando se vai subir, tive que colocar uma cadeira para me apoiar, tem uma vista pra cidade e uma varanda pequena, as camas estavam limpas, bem como as toalhas e todos os demais itens de higiene pessoal, porém, o chão poderia estar mais limpo. O chuveiro funciona como aquela torneiras de pressão, o tempo dele desapertar é o tempo do banho, mas é só ficar segurando que você consegue se lavar por mais tempo. Não dou nota 5 por causa desses pormenores, mas com certeza me hospedaria de novo, atendimento muito bom, acesso fácil, extremamente central e tudo bem organizado, o café da manhã é razoável e minha estadia foi ótima.

Buenas. No sé cómo se atreve a mandar que deje un comentario. Cuando el viernes llamo al hostal para confirmar mi reserva y en el hostal me dice que esa información me la tienen que dar Expedía porque reservé con ello. Ya que cuando reservé no me mandaron ninguna reseña, me pongo en contacto con la compañía y me dicen que no la encuentran y me mandan a otro número de la compañía directo y más de lo mismo, al final que tuve que buscarme la vida yo y conseguir otro hotel. Así que el servicio al cliente nefasto.

Todo bien, excepto la limpieza, podrian limpiar mas a fondo, estuve mientras hacian la habitacion y fue muy por encima, tiraron ambientador y poco mas.. Los baños y duchas deberian hacerse todos los dias, visto que pasa tanta gente por ellos..
En cuanto al personal ningun problema, pero alguna recepcionista le falta simpatia y don de gentes, una sonrisa no amarga a nadie, y devolver el saludo tampoco cuesta tanto..
El barrio me pareció un poco inseguro, pero está centrico. Gracias
