Muito bueno el el local. Las acomodaciones son muy limpias, siempre hay personas limpiando, los baños son un 10 y los clientes son muy buena onda también. Puntos a mejoras es un poco más de atención en la recepción q a veces no hay nadie y podría mucho haber un espacio mayor para comer.

Room is clean and we had private room for the family. Some private room has bathroom of its own some don’t. The one that has its own bathroom obviously is more convenient. The bunk bed is really tall and won’t be good for small children. But for a budget stay in the middle of city and close to metro, it’s doable.

The common room was a joke. It’s tiny for the size of the hotel and not enough room and the cushions are quite dirty. The room itself was very clean in the bathrooms and showers are very clean. The location is convenient Just a half a block from a metro stop. I would book this hotel again however I would not use Hotels.com to do so. I would book directly with the hotel.

Very bad experience

There was no access to the terrace, and there was only one person in the reception which made the check-in very long.
Also they turn off the air conditioning in the night, and that was the worst part.
I'm never going back to that place.

This was a great hotel at a superb location. 3 mins walk from the subway , Starbucks 5 mins away , Irish Pub on the same block . The beds are really comfortable and everything is spotlessly clean

Very nice hostel , forst time had experienced hostel , we had double room private with private bathroom , shower , good spot jus 15min walk to town center, very easy to reach town center always going straight , has Dias supermarket shop just beside hotel so can buy some food or drinks etc.

Really bad experience at this hostel.
The lack of help and unprofessionalism of staff was a real disappointment.
I lost a gold bracelet with great sentimental value to me, that I know fell off in the hostel, and no staff member offered much help with this, with only 1 bothering to look in lost and found.
Worse than this, as we were getting ready for the day a cleaning lady came into our room without knocking while I was getting changed and was completely naked. She proceeded to leave the door open while telling us to leave the room, insisting our stay was over despite us having 1 day remaining. My partner then showed her that we were staying until the next day and she did not apologise and continued this while I was completely naked and covering myself with just a skirt.
Super embarrassing experience and a complete let down. While the room was spacious, we would not recommend.

Horrible staff!! Extremely rude and unprofessional. Check in took forever! No one was at the entrance when we arrived for a solid 30 minutes. When the receptionist arrived, he didn’t care and seemed extremely short and unapologetic. The location and room were decent but the walls and street noise were unbearable. Will not be coming back.

I accept it’s a hostel not a hotel, so you can’t expect hotel levels of quiet or comfort. But €197 is a lot to pay for a hostel…

I had a very comfortable and spacious room with two beds. The price was reasonable, and I didn't mind the shared bathroom. It's worth noting that the rooms in the front of the building can be a tad noisy with traffic from the street, but it wasn't too bad. My biggest concern was that the internet seemed slow and unreliable, constantly cutting out on both of my phones and my laptop, so I had to go to a co-working space down the block in order to get any work done.

Das Check-In ging suoer, unser Privat Zimmer war sehr sauber und nicht lärmig. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Angestellten sehr freundlich. Leider hatte es kein Kühlschrank und keine Küche, was in einem Hostel zu erwarten wäre.

A great hostel for the price in a perfect area. Footsteps from the subway and waking distance to most major attractions. I was surprised they even made up my room during the day. Disappointed no soap or cups provided in the room and the air conditioning could not be controlled by me in my room even though I was in a private room. Despite this fact, it only got too cold for me once.

Meh, just okay, I’ve stayed at better hostels. I booked a 4 bed ensuite, I thought it was going to be an all male room, but it was a mixed one, that was nowhere when I made my booking. The hostel was kind of dirty. You have to pay extra 2 euros for a towel plus a 5 deposit, and also extra 5 deposit for the room.

This was my first solo trip and first time trying a hostel and I really enjoyed it. The hostel felt very safe as only ppl with access cards only could get in the room and it was really clean and never had to wait in line for showers or anything. The best part was its location , easy access to everything . The ppl were very helpful and made me very comfortable . Overall I loved it.

Walls thin as paper and a door that squeaks every 3 minutes through the wall from someone opening it. The bunk beds are unstable and shake at the slightest movement so the prick in the bunk under mine kept me up all night with every movement, not to mention the noise of the door, other guests and the street. At this point I could have saved the money and had a better 17h layover at the airport than here.

This hostel makes an obvious effort at cleanliness, friendliness, and comfort through little things like swings, a comfy movie room, and indented boxes built into the beds to store more than just your phone. I actually had a terrible experience (0% the fault of the hostel) and at 1:30am, the amicable man at the front desk was doing his best to figure out the situation for me. He obviously cared and he actually ended up refunding me for a number of nights. Very good customer service.

The only negatives I found in this hostel were the lack of AC and the noise, both of which made it extremely difficult to sleep. I was there in the middle of September when it is still quite hot and, without air conditioning, I was really sweating as I tried to fall asleep.
As for the noise, the hostel is located right in the city where people are out on the streets until maybe 6am--shouting, honking, drinking, screeching tires, laughing loudly, etc. This, even more than the heat, prevented me from sleeping.

Overall, I'd give a positive review to this hostel and, especially if you're a deep sleeper, I'd say it's a good place to be.

Decent Hostel with Great Interior

I say the hostel is decent because I was only there for 8 hours for an overnight layover stay. It has a nicely decorated interior, with neat photo spots for guests. At times, there was a poor smell from the bathrooms as if it were a sewage condition. It is not unbearable, just unpleasant at times when entering restrooms or in staircase.

The Hostel is amazingly close to everything. Two metro stations very close by and if you feel like it you can easily walk from Sol or even Prado Museum to enjoy the gorgeous architecture.
There are several restaurants and places where you can get your obligatory \"tapas\".
My experience was good, I arrived late because a delay on my flight and the guys at the front desk where really friendly and understanding despite being very busy!
The bedroom was clean and the common areas were clean as well. Every morning I came across a small \"cleaning army\" to deal with bathrooms and common areas which considering the amount of people, it was spotless.
The breakfast was decent and you could tell it was fresh.

This is an excellent budget choice for a double room: generous space with a good size bathroom and a little balcony. Clean and comfortable, good quality towels, only missed a bar of soap:) Relaxed atmosphere, surprisingly well-behaved guests. Great location. Definitely recommend.

The building infront of some of the rooms is getting painted, hence there is a strong paint smell in the rooms and if you are lucky you will get to share the room with people who don't snore.

First thing first, this is a hostel. On the website I used to book it it was presented as a hotel, so I was a bit disappointed when we got there... So the 4 stars are based on a hostel scale... The hotel is located close to the metro stop and it is bright and welcoming. The staff at check in was polite and friendly, the room was bright and welcoming, even if it was not spot clean, there was a bit of dust/powder in the corners...but for an hostel it was still good standards. Breakfast is rather cheap and abundant (not a fan of the sugar free jam, would have preferred normal jam, but that's a minor point) and the common areas are comfortable and welcoming. There is a movie room and a lot of cheap food/drink machines. Hairdryer (very good one) is available on request from reception. Two easy to improve points: normal jam and those mechanism on doors to ensure soft closing to avoid banging noises during the night. The rest was ok and it was great value for money.

This was a fantastic place to stay. I rented a double bedroom with private restroom as I traveled with my wife. The place is centrally located, facilities are new and everything is extremely clean. Very organized, and friendly staff. Wife would even consider shared bathroom option next time we visit based on how clean everything was!

Superb location, and good service.

I spent two -separate- nights at the hotel, in September 2017. The staff is young, talented, and helpful. The private room was excellent, and the sharing one was fine. Would recommend as a result of feeling welcome, safe, in a superb location. The downside might include that all rooms are located on the street side, and the elevators have their own fancy ( another good incentive to travel light, and ascertain the spring in one's step).

Great \"hostel\" close to all amenities.

This hostel surpassed all expectations. Bathroom and toilet area extremely clean. Bedroom area was large with huge windows looking out onto the main road however little or no road noise. Probably the best hostel I have stayed in. It would put some hotels to shame(if it won't for sharing with other guests).

The room is very big and clean. The public bathroom is also very clean, and its not busy in the morning. The staff is quite nice to show us the way to travel around. There are dinners and free trip in city, and we made some friends from those activities.

I will give a list of pro's and cons
First the pros
Good WiFi through out
Big room's
Plenty of hot water
Free computer stations on every floor

Now for the cons
Terrible kitchen ( really only one person at a time can cook)
The kitchen is always a mess, they don't have control over guests to make sure they clean after themselves
There are no drying clothes to dry dishes so you have to hunt down paper towels to dry ( more waste)
I've stayed for 2 weeks and the microwaves haven't been cleaned once?? DISGUSTING!!!
There is no recycling at all, everything just goes in the garbage even though they have a place to drop off recycling around the block, this is only the second hostel I stayed at out of the 35 that doesn't recycle.
All the the bathrooms have paper towels to dry instead of hand dryer's( more waste)
Expensive laundry!

Overall a good hostels but if they would correct the issues they have they would be a great hostel!

Great for budget but way too crowded

Friendly reception. Building is older. Room did not smell good--like dirty laundry that had been sitting around for months. The rooms with 12 beds each are simply too crowded--everyone's open suitcases, clothes, and shoes clutter the floor making it difficult to walk past in certain areas. It felt like a sulky teenager's room without a parent to tell everyone to pick things up.

It's one of the best hostels I've stayed in. The location is excellent, central, but a bit further away from the tourist crowds. The only minus is that they seem to charge a bit more extras than hostels usually do, like locks on the lockers, breakfast, towels etc. It's really good but be prepared to add a few extra euros to your total.

My stay at Uhostel was great. The place was clean and the staff was extremely polite. However, there are only shared rooms and I woke up at 2a.m. because a drunk roommate came into the room and started to make up his bed. I had to take the GRE the next morning so I wish I hadn't been disturbed but it's a cheap place so I was expecting something like this to happen.

+ a public room to watch movies.
+ clean rooms.
+ small living area.
+ one computer to use.
+ printing is available free of charge just send it by email.

Negative:

- reception staff was not as expected. I guess they need training.

- I had to queue for taking shower?! Even there many showers room but its marked girls and boys ?! By the was the toilet is separated from shower.

- (lifts) (assansor) you need to open inside door and close it after you leave (very old lifts) but well kept.

- breakfast was very poor just (2 pcs Toast + one cup coffee or juice + butter and jam) if you want slice of cheese you need to pay 0.50 cent, if you want (TEA) you need to pay (1€) ??!! Actually if the hostel cancel the breakfast will increase his score.

- location is not good for tourist. (I guess the good location is near SOL metro station). as all the action is there and SOL square has all day shows till mid night. Even Sol metro station has lots of intersection lines. So that make is easy to go everywhere fast. or even callao

Great hostel, great location, great staff

This was my first hostel experience. I didn't know what to expect but I was quite blown away with what I saw, especially for the price I paid.

The staff was very friendly. Erika from the front desk took her time in welcoming me, telling me about the area, and providing excellent recommendations for things to do, and more importantly food not to miss out.

One night I had a bad roommate experience that led me to want to switch rooms, and again, the staff was very accommodating in getting me a replacement room without any hassle.

The other great qualities of this hostel are the social scene. They try very hard, and do a very good job, at making it fun for the world traveler to experience the area and meet new people. They offer daily tours, pub crawls, tapas crawls, and the occasional pool party hosted by Wild Walkers Madrid (shout out to Tiago and Tito who were both great and showed us all a good time!)

Overall I would highly recommend this hostel, it is a great location, very clean, very friendly staff, a minute away from the train, and only about a 10 minute walk to Sol Square.

Just perfect!

No complaints about this hostel! Excellent staff, perfect location. The free breakfast is a nice way to start your mornings and the activities at night was a nice way to relax and wind down. I got in later on a Friday night and they had a free drinking game night with free sangria. It was a great opportunity to meet people and feel welcome. The directions were super easy to follow from the airport. Staying at this hostel made my stay in Madrid more enjoyable. Definitely visiting Madrid again and definitely staying here!

La atención fue correcta, amable y rápida. La habitacion y el baño limpios. Buena relación calidad-precio.
Alguna taquilla estaba rota, es lo unico que vi a mejorar.
En el check-in online habia que añadir tarjeta, para mi sorpresa ya que habia pagado y el motivo era los 5€ de fianza.
