This apartment was perfect for our needs. It was close to everything we could walk to nearby attractions and to shopping easily. They need to work on their laundry room because when I had a problem, they told me that it’s run by an outside company. And they completely washed their hands of the issue told me to call a phone number. I paid for detergent and there was none in the machine and paying for washing and drying is very ambiguous and the machine seems to keep telling you to put more money in.

I only stayed there for two days, but I really enjoyed the tranquility and peace. The front desk was always ready to help, cleaning was done on time., the staff was very friendly, and I really appreciated the security. I will continue to book this same place when I return with my family.

The property is not well represented in the photos you see online, the elevators are tiny with one of them not working, the lobby entrance is the only nice thing about the property. The apartment it self feels old and had a weird smell, the AC did not fully work, the room never felt really cool. The location is good.

Overall for 1-2 nights it works, but if you want to have a nice room for a longer stay this is not the place.

Muy bien ubicado, el lobby bien puesto. Sin embargo estaba todo el día y noches lleno de basura sin recoger. Amontonada por todas partes de verdad muy sucias las áreas comunes.

El cuarto en muy malas condiciones y por el precio pagado he estado en mejores cuartos acondicionados

This Hotel has a very convenience location. It is close to museums, restaurants, bus, metro and train stations. The hotel staff was very friendly and requested a taxi for us every tome we needed one. I recommend it. Room were spacious.

We were under the impression that we would have air con given the advert for the rooms and hotel said it had air conditioning. However, upon entry to the room, it was boiling. We had a portable unit to use as the building landlord had not yet turned on the air con for the building, however it did not work. The reception just kept saying we have the portable unit so it’s fine but it was broken and only blew hot air. After two awful nights of no sleep, we complained again and the reception then came upstairs and agreed that it was broken and they would source a new machine. We then had two nights of okay sleep. It was a real shame that the hotel and Expedia both did not take any action sooner than two nights of no sleep, so we will not be staying here again. If we were under the impression there was no air con, then of course we would have been happier.

The Worst experience ever! Starting with broken head shower (couldn't take a shaower when arrived), the air conditioner is actually like a fan mode (not cool air ever), and the wrost part bed bugs. They changed us tooma and of course bed bugs every where. The second room had a non workong hair dryer.
The cleaning ladies turn the \"air conditioner\" to fan, which means there is no air at all, in summer thisbis a no no, and more is you only have a fan
The facilities need some work done.
The front desk people try to help to some extend.
They were not knowledgeable about the surroundings.
I do not recommend this place at all.
I won't come back.

yo reserve el hotel dos meses antes,y lo primero es que supuestamente esta en remodelacion las paredes de las habitaciones estan muy sucias y los baños estan todo el tiempo acumulando agua en los tragantes por la cantidad de cabellos ,y lo peor es que aunque tu reserva dice aire acondicionado ello no tienen funcionando ,la temperatura estaba en los 34 y no funcionaban ,asi que pagas por un aire que no funciona.ademas al lado del hotel hay una discoteca que estan todos afuera dando voces hasta la 5 de la mañana por lo que ni las ventanas puedes abrir ,en realidad yo jamas volvería.

First nights were spent in what looked like a converted dorm room, not really cleaned before we got there (long hairs on floor), and in an alcove that served as an echo chamber for guests in adjacent rooms who kept calling to each until until early in the morning (must have been in town for a party/event). We asked to be move to another area of the hotel - this room was smaller but much better in terms of noise (just street noise, not neighbor noise). Laundry facilities on site were a positive.

THE WORST service!The overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke was pervasive and intolerable in our room. We booked for 4 nights and checked out the same day. Upon our check in we just dropped our bags. We went to the front dest and asked for a king size bed. They insured us to be fixed upon our return. We got back around 10pm to find out the only personal in the hotel was the cleaning clerk who couldn't help us at the time. We also noticed the awful cigarrette smell and begged for another room since my son has asthma and we could not stop coughing. The cleaning/front desk clerk called some one and said we had to wait until the next day. At 11pm, my 7 year old and husband had to get our bags and checked out. They refused to a full refund and not even Expedia agents could get a hold of their personal!! There are plenty of options in Madrid and this place it might be one of the worst service.

Property building needs a serious intervention. Dirty rugs, dirty room walls, cracked paint, awful mildew/tobacco smell in our room. Air conditioning out of service.
Poor attention from front desk staff except for handling our bags upon (Thank god) check out.

Great apt-hotel near Recoletos/El Retiro/Gran Via

Very convenient location right across from the Recoletos subway entrance and within walking distance to the Cibeles fountain, the busy Gran Via and the beautiful El Retiro Park. The apartment itself is spacious and ours opens up to a view of the street by the beautiful National Library next door. Very friendly and helpful service (they graciously worked w/us to leave our luggages there prior to our visit due to our travel arrangements) and they provided helpful hints on the area. Great stay, great hotel, great service.

Poor customer service detracts from an otherwise great location.

Family room was nice enough but no working A/C… at least that’s what the employee told me (“I’m just an employee, if you have a problem contact our management “)… there was a portable A/C unit that we had to figure out on our own how to use (exhaust line goes out the window, etc.). I wrote a message which three days later is still unanswered.

Finally, the safety lock box didn’t work and despite reporting it was never fixed.

A bit of a shame.

We had a huge problem getting to the hotel as pride fest was going on and the streets around the hotel were barricaded off so it took us an extra hour to get there so advance notice of this would have been appreciated. The location was within easy walking distance of attractions and with exception of the AC being weak, things were fine.

The hotel is not perfect there's a lot needs doing, but they are currently upgrading the hotel and it's ongoing. The staff are very good, the cleaners in particular are a lovely group of women. I would certainly stay here again, the location is fantastic.

This property must not be listed here, it is almost destroyed, weird. The man at the lobby smokes, everything dirty.
My room at the 1st floor with a lot of debris at the floor. If you do not beleive me, go and check, it is terrible. The room is big enough but dirty inside an almost destroyed building.
I should not pay more than EUR.10 per night. Just the location is great

The place looks good. The facility are good. They have a place to do laundry very cheap. The only thing is the floor in the hallway are not in the best shape. Need some TLC. Beside that is well located. Is a residential area, so is quiet and secured. Close is a supermarket; bakery; laboratories for COVID test before return to the US. Nice branding shop on the Main Street Serrano, museum, and the public transportation is reliable except Sunday that the Calle Serrano is close until 4:00(16:00). They may the street a walkable one.

room size is not bad, but very bad A/C, I moved to another room same problem. seems that the AC filters are not clean. receptionists don't speak English and not helpful, they can use the translator to check what do we need but they never bother to try. The location of the apartment though is excellent.

We stayed only one night. Family of four. The lobby had one part under construction or renovation but only covered with a curtain, which made it look like a little run down. The room was clean but the AC did not work. After complaining we were told that it was central AC and we couldn’t adjust it. It was barely noticeable and it was 28 celsius outside. I think it is misleading information to advertise AC if it is not working as regular AC. My husband could not sleep at all. The common spaces were pretty beaten, the place clearly needs renovation. For the money we could have stayed in a much nicer place. Location is great though!
