Staff were lovely, very efficient and courteous. Couldn’t do enough for us. The walk across the road for breakfast was beautifully bracing and the view unsurpassed. So easy to wander leisurely into Montreux Christmas Market.

Montreux is amazing and this is a perfectly located spot. And you get a pass for reduced museum admission and free public transport! The bus stop is right next to the property. The breakfast views are unparalleled and the staff is superb.

The hotel was fine - we’ve stayed in much better 3* hotels on our trip, but this was fine. You get access to the facilities in a 5* hotel opposite which is great.

The spa was very average - not 5* quality, but since this was a 3* hotel it was nice to have

Our initial room was BOILING hot, and there was no AC. The staff kindly moved us to an available room which had AC, but since it was one of the hottest days of the year and an AC room was available we shouldn’t really have had to ask for that.

Overall it’s fine, probably wouldn’t stay again

Disappointed in this hotel. No milk in the rooms with the tea and coffee, very basic rooms, bathroom so small your knees are on the wall when on the toilet and you can reach each wall almost with each arms. Check in across the road in another hotel, with no assistance to transport luggage.

Double bed was two single beds pushed together.

Hotel very dated.

Wouldn’t return.

After reading a recent negative review, I was a little hesitant but when I arrived the Villa Toscana was exactly as described. It is an old building but this is part of its charm. My room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Access to all the facilities of the main hotel just a few minutes away.

Terrible Old Hotel!

Check in and out was across the road at Plaza Hotel. Complicated! Was given a room where the elevator did not reach. Shaky elevator! No tea kettle in the room. But cups were there even the next morning. Asked for it but was not delivered. No AC in the room. Only a fan, had to keep windows open.

Villa Toscane is advertised as an independent hotel but it is not. A hotel opposite Villa Toscane manages it. That hotel (Royal Plaza Hotel) does not tell customers the facts until the customer reaches Villa Toscane, where on a corner there is an inconspicuous sign that asks the customer to register at Royal Plaza. This is a bait-and-switch technique or at least a false representation that should be reported to authorities. There is no reception, bell captain, or any other staff besides the cleaning staff at Villa Toscane. The Royal Plaza Hotel staff are rude and unhelpful.

I was awakened every night at midnight, 3 and 4am! Loud people in the next room, no desk attendant on site. The bathroom was ridiculously small and almost unusable. There was a strong marijuana smell on my last night’s stay with doors slamming at 4-5am. I liked the pool, sauna and hot tub you can use … in the hotel across the street. It is on the bus line. I would not stay here again for free.

This is not full service hotel, it is part of another big hotel. check in issues, we need to check in different hotel and get the key.
Room issue, single rooms are small and dingy, is good for one person only.
no cafe, we need to walk to get a coffee
No ice, water, we need to buy bottles from vending machine
suites are good and spacious. never book single room
But his hotel is decently located

We loved the location, view, ease of access to bus, breakfast, and swimming pool. Staff was very friendly. We stayed two nights. Our room was advertised as having air conditioning, but the first night the AC was broken and they were unable to fix it or change our rooms. Given the cost to stay, we thought they might offer compensation (free breakfast) or small discount, but they did not. However, they did move us the second night to a room with AC, and then we were able to sleep well. Overall, we loved everything about this hotel except the broken AC.

It’s a beautiful hotel. Although just know that this hotel is across the street from the lake and you would check in at Royal Plaza and also eat breakfast there. You will have to haul your luggage across the street.

I would recommend adding the 16 ChF for breakfast as the actual cost is 30 ChF for the lovely spread! Our window faced the street and we got a glimpse of the alps and lake from our bed. We loved our stay!!

Hotel management should know that Switzerland is cold in the winter. The heating air system is not heating at all and making terrible noise. Found an extra electrical heating unit in the room. What a shame for the price I paid per night

The hotel is good, located across the street from promenade, walkable from the station. The room was very small and the shower stalls are very small. The hotel across itself was good. The breakfast included is just crossants, cereal and tea/coffee/milk or juice. If you need meats, cheese or omlette you need to pay extra.

We booked a family room. It was a lovely room. You get to use all the restaurants and facilities at the Royal Plaza which is less than 1 minute walk away. We arrived around 8pm and headed straight to the swimming pool and hot tub which was a welcome treat!

Views of Montreuxs hills and Lac Lehman are wonderful. There are lots of restaurants nearby and the bus stop is less than a minutes walk. Train station was about 10 minutes away.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We used the city pass to get a good discount at Chateau Chillion and to travel for free on the buses, so remember to ask for that!

Be aware the photos online are NOT of this property. The gorgeous spa and pool are in the five star property across the street! I arrived late at night and was told to drag my luggage across the street and let myself into a run-down hotel with a key-pad! There was NO bellman and I was put in a tiny room up a flight of stairs not accessible by the lift. The carpets are dirty, the paint is peeling, and the hotel is on a very very noisy street. The gorgeous hotel is the Royale across the street, not this one. The advertising was incredibly misleading online!!!

A lot of the facilities are over the road in the more modern Royal Plaza building, but this was nowhere near as disruptive as I thought it would be. It only takes a few seconds to walk between the two.

Pre-paid 5 months in advance for a lake view room and was unhappy that we could only have just made out there was a lake at all if I could have stood on a chair!!!
Parking cost CHF25 per day which was not expected, especially as I am registered disabled and carry a European Blue Badge (I know CH is not too art of the EU but still).

We were disappointed in this ‘hotel’. It is a property with no on site staff & managed from a large hotel across the road. The bed was rock hard & the mattress was too long for the base. Breakfast (which we had paid extra for) was across the road but not in the large hotel dining room - it was a meagre ‘light’ breakfast served in the foyer. I certainly would not recommend this B & B.

It is a villa which is managed from a hotel across the road. You have to check in the hotel across the road. You are then given keys and access codes to open the main entrance to the hotel. Stay ws without much hassle. Only thing they can improve is have air conditioning in rooms because it becomes hot during summers when the outside temperature touches 30.
