Lovely stay in the dog friendly deluxe room. Very comfortable, clean and well decorated room. The room has it's own parking space and is only about 10 minutes walk down to the centre of Bowness. Hosts are very friendly but leave you to enjoy the room in peace with the proviso that they are only a message away should you need anything. They are happy to provide any information on the local area required. They even provide dog bed, bowls and towel though we had brought our own. We will definitely be returning to this gem.

Should have checked my booking more accurately, especially re Room only. Would prefer B&B but it was a lovely place to stay, most welcoming and Rhian and I had had a busy and enjoyable few days, visiting the Beatrix Potter Attraction, the Lakeside Aquarium, undertaking a Lake cruise, visited the Lakeland Motor Museum and at beautiful and sunny (on the day) Keswick, the Derwent Pencil Museum. All within 20 miles!

Incredible stay, our hosts were fantastic and made us feel really welcome. We’re just sad we didn’t stay longer! Room is finished to a high standard and just utterly spotless. All of the little touches were appreciated, even a booklet with information of the local area with food menus. We can’t wait to come back.

We cannot recommend Bowness Guest House enough & we will absolutely be returning! Upon arrival we received a very personal check in - we were shown to our room & given an overview of the room facilities, the hosts took their time to chat to us and gave us recommendations of where is good to eat / drink in Bowness! Our room was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities you would need for a weekend away. The tea / coffee making facilities were a lovely touch & we were provided with an ice cold bottle of water on arrival. Genuinely cannot fault at all - a 5 star from me!

We loved this guest house so much. It was spacious, clean and has everything you need. When we arrived, the owner nicely explained everything we needed to know about our stay there and recommended nice restaurants to go to. The guest house is located at a quiet street, but still very near to the main Bowness-on-Windermere area. We would love to come back!

The property is very conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Can walk to all of them and Windermere is also an easy walk. Although we had no problems finding parking we can envision that it would be difficult at times. The only negative is that there was no desk space to access a computer. This is a great place to stay.

We stayed in the dog friendly room with its own parking space. Greeted on arrival by the lovely owners at a room that was amazingly clean.
It's central to every thing in Bowness and short driving distance to all the major sites of the lakes. Will definitely be returning as it contributed a fantastic weekend in a lovely place.
We stayed in the dog friendly room with its own parking space. Greeted on arrival by the lovely owners at a room that was amazingly clean.
It's central to every thing in Bowness and short driving distance to all the major sites of the lakes. Will definitely be returning as it contributed a fantastic weekend in a lovely place.

A Fantastic place to stay, we only stayed one night but if we are visiting the area again we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here in the future. A very spacious clean and comfy room awaits. Michelle was very welcoming and allowed us to leave our cases early as we had planned a day out and wouldn’t be back till after 7 pm. Although no Breakfast on site there are several Cafes within a 5 minute walk away.

Hosts Michelle and Bernard were great and very welcoming. Cold bottle of water provided each day and upon arrival. Lots of information given on where eat/drink etc. We had delux double room with bay window, spotless and spacious and a really comfy bed. En-suite modern and clean. Plenty of storage, wifi great, tea and coffee facilities if needed. Location was excellent! Would stay again and highly recommend!!!!
