Beautiful Adirondack lodge property. From the rooms to the public spaces and amenities all are kept in great shape and very clean. The room was great with a very well stocked kitchen, fireplace and great outdoor patio space looking at the lean to's and well kept garden center courtyard. The bathroom floor is heated, feels great getting out of the tub/shower. The towels were over the top big and fresh. Furnishings in the rooms were very comfortable, great bed, plenty of pillows.
Breakfast in Kanu was outstanding. The Dining Room is a beautifully constructed Adirondack room with an outside patio that has a great view of Whiteface Mountain. Fitness center was well equipped. Loved the indoor and outdoor hot tubs.
This is the best Hotel/Lodge in the Adirondacks.
A must stay anytime of year.

After having an issue with our initial room, Tiffany at the front desk, was wonderful and made sure we were moved to another room and generously upgraded our stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious. All of the staff encountered during our stay were wonderful. Great amenities. Would definitely stay there again.

My boys and I had a great weekend at Whiteface Lodge. It's conveniently located to the local sites. When not seeing all the great things Lake Placid has to offer, we felt right at home at the lodge. With the game room, movie theater, pool and roasting marshmallows over the campfire, we have terrific memories of our stay. Looking forward to coming back again.

A great place for kids to stay! There are lots of amenities for children, including a pool, bowling, a games room, and even an ice-skating rink. Breakfast each day was great, and it’s clear the staff put a lot of thought into making guests’ stays as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They provide extras like skates, snowshoes, hot chocolate, coffee stations, and water stations throughout the property, which was really appreciated. My kids absolutely loved it.

The only improvement I would suggest is adding a child safety lock on the doors. While there is a deadbolt, it disengages when the door is opened, which means my young child could open the door and wander out. An additional upper latch or child lock would add some extra peace of mind for families with small children.

The suites were beautiful. Beautifully Adirondack. So much attention to detail. And there is so much to do right at the Lodge. 2 great restaurants. Pool and hot tubs were amazing. Spa on site. Game room, nice fitness room, movies, bowling alley and all kinds of activities. I can’t say enough about this place. I can’t wait to go back!

My military discount was not reflected in the rate and for 2900 for two nights which other guest paid a quarter of that I will not book through your service again. The room was not as picture was supposed to be a two bedroom suite was only a one bedroom. The room was freezing and the snow was removed from the deck being we were stuck on the first floor so we couldn’t even sit outside. The outdoor hot tubs were freezing couldn’t use them. Upon make coffee when I opened a cabinet a glass fell out and smashed into my cheek bone and smashed on the floor. Not the same as our previous stays the internet went out during a conference call. The smore stands where no where to be found. This whole experience was unfortunate celebrating our engagement. Will be hesitating to return to the property.

I had an amazing stay at Whiteface Lodge! The entire property is incredibly clean, warm, and welcoming. The Christmas vibe made everything feel extra cozy and magical — from the beautiful décor to the relaxing atmosphere.

I paid Expedia 577 dollars to stay at whiteface lodge and I got charged another 389.93 that was supposed to be put back into my account and I still don't have that money put in my account there hot tubs were not working witch was the main reason I booked at whiteface lodge if this is how this Expedia works and I pay more then what this site's telling me than this site will loose my business

There was an unbeatable stench in the room. When complained, front desk said, sorry we don't have staff to look into it. I called in the house keeping person on my floor and she said she had noticed the same stink in the room the last several days... duh? So, if this was known to staff, why wasn't it fixed. Very disappointed. White Face lodge didn't even try to correct it or offer a courtesy discount. Extremely disappointed and would never recommend to anyone.

Recently stayed here with school-age children and had a wonderful time. Lots of small details that really made the stay special- warm popcorn for the in-house movies, free ice cream nightly, bonfires and smores nightly, in-house bowling alley, game room and truly well heated pools and hot tubs. The suite style rooms with kitchenette and fireplace make the stay feel like a home away from home. That said, the included breakfast, while generous, is a bit tasteless (husband didn’t eat there after the first day) so May not suit those with more discriminating palates. Also, I wonder how clean the rooms are as we found a pair of mens underwear behind a chair and a woman’s bra under the bed (ick). The curtain rod overhanging the balcony door was attached by a string and blocked the door access- easily could have fallen and hit someone. The washer dryer was also a bit underpowered. 5 Star experience from start to finish. Beautiful property with many dining options, indoor/outdoor pool, 3 movies per day in the quiet movie theatre, game room for kids, room were very well maintained and exceptionally quiet.

We did not hear another person walk by during our 4 day stay. OUR Valet, Norton, met me at my vehicle and unloaded all of our bags and took great care of us during our stay. . Brought me vehicle to me within minutes of asking throughout whole stay.

Highly recommend this property and will definitely return.

Beautifully decorated!! The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and the food in Kanu & Peak 47 are great! The beds are very uncomfortable/hard. Disappointed that the ice skating rink was not open, as the extras like this are what make it worthwhile to stay here. Also, the fireplace in our room had a broken switch and in order to use it, we had to remove a portion of the fireplace panel and use a button on the open wires- don’t feel very safe.
Pretty place, charming- very expensive to not have everything working and or available as it should be.

Whiteface Lodge blew us away with their comfort and hospitality. Our room was spacious and cozy all in one, not to mention heated floors in the washroom and a washer/dryer! The food at Peak47 and Kanu was high end and delicious and our bed was very comfortable. We met guests who have stayed at this lodge multiple times and keep coming back for more. This hotel is appropriate for all seasons and there are enough activities happening where you don’t have to leave the property if you don’t want to. Will definitely go there again!

Bad experience at one of the restaurants. Other guests also complained about the restaurant.
No chain locks or interior clasp locks. Security entered my room at 1:30 am. When questioned, he said that he had the wrong room. Next day the GM said that it was just a mistake and offered little explanation why a staff member would enter a room at 1:30am!

Wonderful stay!

Wonderful stay! The kids loved the breakfast buffet (included), hot chocolate at the ice rink on site, the indoor/outdoor heated pool, and the lovely decor. Everyone was so nice and friendly! There was so much to do both at the lodge and within 20 minutes- Whiteface for skiing, Olympic sites, walks in the woods, etc. My only hotel improvement would be the lighting in the bathroom. The whole place has a really nice “lodge” feel, but the bathrooms are almost entirely dark. Especially when in the shower.
