This is a very basic hotel and unfortunately not the right fit for me. The room was extremely small, the shower had mold, and the elevator had an unpleasant smell. Travelers should note that the hotel is located in a red-light district, which may not be suitable for solo female travelers or families.

Positives were the friendly staff and the convenient location. If I return to Singapore, I would not stay here again tho. This hotel needs a lot of renovation.

The hotel was in an excellent location. It was 3 minutes to the Main Street and several buses. The MRT was a 29 minute walk and safe at night. Lots of cheap eats close and laundry just down the street about 8 minutes. Would recommend for active travellers that don’t mind some local flavours.

It's a budget hotel and I get it. However, it lacked many basic items such as a smaller size towel, waste basket in the bathroom and a cup.

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. It's situated in Geylang, old style Singapore. The rooms are not large but if, like us, you are going to be out most of the day, they are perfect for a good night's sleep. The staff are always very helpful. It's about a ten minute walk to the MRT. Geylang has many excellent Hawker style eateries offering great fresh cooked food which are excellent value. If you're lookin for a comfortable clean base without the frills, this hotel is great value.

The area was generally safe, but there were some loiterers who spent time right outside the building during the night. I additionally saw a mouse in the street the hotel was located on.

The hotel itself was clean and basic in line with what you would expect from a budget hotel. The beds were short twin sized beds, as such you would be uncomfortable if you are over 180 cm. My only other concern with the room was that the shower head would not point down, it would spray horizontally. As such, we needed to reposition the head every few minutes to be able to wash ourselves. This becomes quite annoying, and I found it to be a gaping design flaw which can easily be fixed to provide a better experience for guests.

Convenient hotel near the National Stadium

I booked this hotel as it is within walking distance to the National Stadium (less than 15 mins walk), and I read some online reviews too. My stay was trouble free, front desk staff were friendly, I was able to check in around 2 pm, and the cleaning crew cleaned my room daily. WIFI works but can be a little slow in the evening time when more guests were using it. I walked to Mountbatten MRT - took me around 12 mins. Eateries, 7-11 nearby - within 5 mins walk. This is a budget hotel, room size and shower area are not large, sound proof could be better but I found it ok as it was usually quiet nearer to or after midnight. My final night, around 10 pm there was a guest who sat at the end of the corridor (on the 3rd floor) and spoke on the phone for over 30 mins, it was not very considerate of this guest as he could have done this on the ground floor reception sitting area. Luckily he did not speak any longer otherwise I would have sought help from the front desk. Overall I was satisfied with my stay, I was in the room for less than 12 hours each day, to me - I felt safe and encountered no issues in the surrounding area. I noted they have luggage storage facility but as I checked out in the morning to head to the airport, I did not use it. Those who wish for higher level of comfort with spacious rooms and other onsite facilities, wish to be close to tourist attractions / big shopping malls, they should revisit options and book elsewhere.

This place is affordable and ideal if you're just looking for a spot to sleep on a budget. The room is quite small, offering no space for storing clothes. There's a tiny desk, but it's not large enough to do any meaningful work. Essentially, it's just a place to sleep, which is what I was looking for, so it worked out fine for me. However, I didn't expect it to be so tiny, and after 3-4 days, I started to feel a bit cramped and wished the room were more spacious.

On the bright side, there are many inexpensive restaurants nearby, offering delicious and affordable meals, which was definitely a plus. The location is also convenient, with a 10-minute walk to Kallang MRT and plenty of bus options. The area comes alive at night, and I appreciated the numerous foot massage places available.

The property is located in a calm and safe area of Geylang (Kallang). The staff here were really helpful from day one and throughout my stay.

Initially, I was skeptical about the area, but that turned out not to be the case. It is very safe for solo travelers. I would highly recommend this hotel for people considering a budget-friendly option (as the name suggests).

I had some issue with the initially allocated room, but it was quickly resolved by the frontdesk team and I was given a new room.

Overall, I had a very good stay here in Singapore on my first international trip.

I'm looking forward to another stay! :)

Inexpensive but serviceable in costly Singapore

Online check-in was not functional despite receiving an email link to use it. We went to the desk to check in upon arrival, with no problems.
One key card stopped opening the door to our room a day after our arrival. A replacement card was issued promptly.
Room was small but serviceable, though the bathroom door did not have a lock, and was very difficult to keep it closed due to a weak or defective door latch.
Staff were friendly, but were slow and odf limited effectiveness in dealing with very noisy and disruptive guests across the hall from our room, despite multiple complaints from different guests. The noise problem persisted for several nights.
Location of the hotel, though nominally in Singapore's historic red light district', was not problematic. The walk to the MTR station is simple and well-lit, though heavy bicycle traffic on the shared pathway along Kallang Road made walking a bit of a challenge.
On balance, it was a decent place to stay on a limited budget, and within reasonable distance of public transit.

Por lo que uno paga en estándares de Singapur pues es de lo más accesible pero eso no le exenta de crítica. Lo bueno, el cuarto, limpio, buena cama y ducha, es lo esencial ya que uno solo lo usa para dormir y bañarse. El staff amable y presente. Lo malo, mal olor en pasillos y elevador, el área no corresponde a lo que nos venden de Singapur. Barrio chino e Indu, con tiendas y restaurantes cerca.

The hotel is located in a rather popular neighborhood, with lots of restaurants one street away. Some massage parlor may propose more services than only massages according to our cab driver but we didn’t feel bad or feel uncomfortable or insecure ( a party of 3 women).
The hotel itself is average, the staff is polite but doesn’t try to do the extra mile to make your stay more pleasant. The room is functional and clean but very small and lack of any extra. The hotel is safe and practical.
Conclusion it is perfect for one night, well connected with bus and metro to visit the city but not pleasant enough to stay longer than one night.

We are not very picky individuals, when it comes to hotels, and knew we were picking a budget hotel however, the dirtiness of the room was next level for us. Our room smelled so bad that even my husband (who is very easy going) said we have to get out of there. Stains on the walls that looked like drips of who knows what… very muggy and dirty room. To top it off, Ibis refuses a refund and this is very frustrating as we are losing $407.00 CAD and this was an upsetting thing to find out, considering the dirtiness.
We are still hopeful that they will understand what a bad experience, and work with us on refund, but they refuse to respond at all.
Sad and disappointed to say the least.

The room I stayed in on the first night had an odor, likely from cigarette smoke, coming from the air vent, which made it difficult to sleep all night. We checked in at 5:30 am and there was staff at the front desk to check us in. The property also has luggage storage available after check out if your flight is at night, which was very convenient. The room was what you would expect from a budget hotel; small but sufficient. A major downside is that the window don’t open so it gets a bit stuffy when you enter the room after a day out, but luckily the aircon helps with the air circulation.

The hotel is located just off the main Geylang road which is lively, so location is ok, away from Singapore Centre. It was only a few mins walk from Kallang MRT station which was also ideal. The room though was tiny and despite having a water heater switch, we did not get any hot water while there. I would opt for an alternative hotel in the future. The staff were constantly on their phones or outside smoking.

Extremely small rooms, expected it to be small with it being Singapore but for a family room it was way too small. Asked for additional pillows only to be told they don’t have any spares, had to go and buy some at our own expense. Wifi was shocking as well. The room had no safe causing us to carry our passports everywhere we went

It seems that all the rooms piping was connected. Room above us would have a shower or use their toilet and the drains in our bathroom would gurgle as well.

Also the beds, I’m 6ft and my legs were dangling off the end of the bed

Something that the hotel cannot be responsible for was the other inconsiderate guests. Walking past the room laughing and joking at gone mid night and blasting music out at 3am so I would bear this in mind when considering this hotel.

Also please consider it is according to our taxi driver in the red light district,
