The hotel was close to the airport, and that was important to me. The staff was very cordial, welcoming, and professional. The property outside had some trash on the road, and the parking lot had several potholes. The interior is well-maintained and cleaned. The room was spacious and well-equipped. We didn't use the airport shuttle, but it was available.

The parking lot was full and they charged me for parking in the hotel, they just told me to park anywhere as long as I wasn’t blocking anyone. The ice Machine in my floor wasn’t working, it was dirty and it looked like nobody had touched the machine in a while. Overall the hotel looked outdated.

Pictures on website are nice , but don’t reflect the reality . There are no restaurants on site. Small cafe with small selection of pastry and Cofee ( no lattes or espresso, just drip coffee) is only open from 6-10am .
Large hotel, but looks border line abandoned. One of 4 elevators taped closed . Other elevators look aged . Duck tape on carpet here and there . Rooms are clean, but everything old and shows wear and tear. heat goes on and off and requires maintenance crew . Under staffed , so you have to stay on hold for someone to answer your call. I would say if you found this hotel in $60-70 range then go for it. If you shopping in $150 range and up - keep swiping . Big disappointed for me .

the rooms are neglected, heater was broken with an outside temperature of 13F, I paid over 500 dollars for one night, no option for food except a coffee shop closing early afternoon, rooms are not well maintained for the price they charge. staff are rough except for Orlando and Nadim Alkhalil, these two gentlemen were the only bright experience that I had.

The room heater was not working properly. It was warm at night, but by morning the room was freezing, as if the heat had been turned off. The corridors were warmer than the room. Since we were checking out, we did not report it.

The room 329 looks clan and nice; however, the heater wasn’t working at all. I called the front desk 2 times requesting checking on the room 1st answer from the front desk that a technician was coming to check… we wait an hour the technician never show up. 2nd call, the answer from the front desk “the technician is repairing the main heater because the whole hotel was out heat and it will take couple hours. Couple hours pass by and the bedroom was getting cooler by the minute. We call 3rd time to request at least and extra comforter having in consideration of the frozen weather. What they sent? 2 sheets ..really? Because they don’t have extra comforters… unbelievable! So I went to the front desk in person and an older guy (new shift) check the status of our room 329 and he told me that room was out of order. He immediately provided me a new key for a room that actually has heat. Thank you so much to him!! But the other two in the front desk didn’t want to help us at all and on top lie.. that’s the reason they get 1 star

The hotel could use some updates. The coffee shop is convenient and has a few options for breakfast. The walls/doors are extremely thin as I heard much more than I desired during my stay. Overall, the evenings were quiet, the staff was great and the location is optimal, 5 min from EWR.

The room was in okay condition. Not the greatest. It’s a basic hotel that’ll just get the job done. The problem we had was the water in the shower was always cold. Yes we took cold with very light Luke warm water. Not pleasant. I also had a rental car and hit a deep pothole in the parking lot which caused my tire to pop. Shortly after I had a complete flat tire on route 21. I wish my experience was better. I anlso wish I have something more positive to say. However my wife and I expected more from this hotel with what we paid for the room nightly. I could’ve stayed at a motel for a better experience.

the room was good and staff were great but i was surprised at the lack of amenities in what i would consider a top name hotel. there was no coffee pot in the room which surprised me since even baymont hotels provide a coffee maker in the room. the lounge had no alcohol just water and soft drinks. and the lounge also just had chips fruit and fruit bars. i had assumed it would have heavy hordourves at least. nice stay but the lack of amenities really surprised me

I just checked out after a very disappointing stay at this Renaissance property.
During check-in, I was assisted by a front desk staff member who seemed to be the manager (a white male). His attitude was extremely unfriendly — he did not look at me while speaking, and his facial expression was very cold throughout the interaction.

When I tried to pay the deposit by tapping my card, it didn’t work. I asked another staff member for help, but the manager stopped them and insisted on handling everything himself, while still refusing to accept my card details manually. I even offered to provide my credit card information for guarantee, but he rejected that as well.

The entire check-in process felt like he was trying to make things difficult for me, rather than helping a guest. It created a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience, especially for a hotel under the Renaissance brand.

This was one of the worst front desk experiences I’ve had, and it completely ruined the start of my stay. I hope the management takes service training seriously, because this level of hospitality is far below expectations.

Yes the airport shuttle was easy to find. The maids should speak broken english at some point the ladies and gentlemen not talking to each other will have to understand customers that only speak english. Maids make sure the silver is shiny in bathrooms, no hair on walls or bathroom items. Make sure sheets are tight. It makes a big difference when a person walks into the room. Make sure customers don't wish the rooms to be done by giving them a choice by putting DO NOT DISTURB and CHECK BACK LATER. Have a maid there. between 2pm and 6pm just in case signs disappear and customers expect their rooms done when they come back. Thank you also to the front desk staff for making things possible when I asked. Thank you to the shuttle drivers for putting the extra run in when it comes to people making that early flight.
Hopefully I will see you again.
Also I'm still waiting for my gift.

The shuttle was amazing. The coffee lady in Lobby was cheerful and friendly. The lounge for elite members was poor with little to no choices. The wifi was down for half of my stay and affected my ability to host very important calls. my understanding is that this was not a hotel issue but a larger Verizon problem. My room was very warm and could not be regulated, while the hallway was very cool. This hotels saving grace is the staff which were incredible.

This hotel is the stuff of nightmares, it is so dirty I could hardly touch the elevator buttons I was so grossed out. The room curtains are black with dust, the carpet is super rank. I nearly ran out when I checked in but was too exhausted from my flight and had to catch another one the next day. The silver lining is the staff is incredibly kind and professional. They tried really hard to make me happy and I truly was touched by that, they deserve a cleaner hotel to work in.

The hotel is tired, and worn out. Many many small details show this hotel is desperate for a comprehensive refresh and update.

I am genuinely shocked that Marriott continues to allow them to fly their brand.

Carpet throughout common areas and in guest rooms; is thred barren, stained, warped, and torn.

Hotel does not have a functioning restaurant of any kind.

Ownership has run the place into the ground.

The whole hotel is held together with duct tape and baling wire.

Very disappointed in this place. Me and my wife booked a King room weeks in advance through Expedia, and when I got there, they said that they didn’t have any king rooms available and that what I booked was false advertisement, which I didn’t believe at all being that this has never happened before and ended up giving us two double beds instead. Room was clean but the beds, the mini fridge they had wasn’t working that well, nothing was getting cold. The shower drain was clogged, so water was rising up quickly. The plastic on the toilet seat was pealing off, which I don’t understand why they wouldn’t change something like that. The parking lot is in poor condition and has pot holes and the parking spaces are so tight. I wish I can recommend this place but I cant.

We stayed here for just one night before our flight, and it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we really appreciated being able to send packages to the hotel knowing they would be kept secure.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom was spotless—exactly what we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. The location was also convenient. It wasn’t far from the airport at all; in fact, our Uber ride to Target took longer than the ride to the airport!

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. If I ever need a place to stay before a flight again, I’ll definitely choose it.

I still haven’t received my deposit and it’s been over a week since I checked out of the hotel. There was a man shouting on our floor who disturbed the guests and woke us up in the night. The staff weren’t friendly and didn’t ask how our stay was and the hotel shuttle took too long. I wouldn’t recommend.

Was given a bedroom that was dirty, bed was unmade shower was brown. They switched the room after that and were very nice about it. This hotel needs a serious upgrade, carpets are falling apart, curtains have holes in them, and our shower didn’t properly drain. Not staffs fault, definitely corporates fault. Only the lobby and gym are nice.

First room we were given was dirty with blood stains on the bed sheets and hair in the bath tub. My wife and I had a dinner to go to so we didn't have time to ask for a new room, so I called the front desk to ask for the room to be cleaned. Came back from dinner and nothing was done. Had to stop at the front desk, change rooms, grab our stuff and move to the new room. Won't be coming back.

Quiet for being right next to airport

Great pillows and comfortable bed. Nice Kevin Murphy products in bathroom.
Room was last one at the farthest point from elevator and had a toilet that gently ran all
night. Shower surround tired and diverter not working properly so wastes water. Reception was efficient and pleasant. Location to airport is good. Shuttle pick up from airport is far from baggage and difficult to find. It was packed. Took a Lyft instead.
