expedia staff and hotel staff including management is useless. hotel has not returned my deposit yet been over 1 month. they told me will be back within 2 weeks. on top $135 unaccounted charge on my card with no explanation. no one picks call no one respond to my email. i even emailed their general manager and reservation staff. no response.

Everything was great except that the floors in the rooms are linoleum and need to be cleaned better or with a different cleaning product. The floors didn't look dirty, but they were grimy. After showering and walking into the room, our bare feet were covered in dirt. They were completely black and we had to wash them off again before putting shoes on.

Love Hotels.com. But this Holiday Inn sucked. There was a long wait for room because they were not cleaned yet. I paid for early check-in and was not able to do it. The room had a strong musty odor..had to buy air freshener. The bathroom floor was soaking wet and we had to place towels on the floor to help dry it. The front desk clerk was wonderful and understood my issues. His partner and direct suprvisor was acondescending and made jokes about my need to get into the room for an important ZOOM meeting, as I paid extra for early check-in. He tried to make jokes until I intervened to let him know that this situation was not funny. I am contacting his manager today also.

I understand surge pricing but am going rate my stars a review based on value - and this stay cost more than double what I would think reasonable for the price. Of course, on a stormy night with tons of flights cancelled you take what you can get. Check in slow due to computer issues but the guy was nice and did his best. Guests were surprisingly patient. Drunk guy across the hall was rowdy but that's not necessarily the hotel and had shut up after I yelled at him. Window AC worked but I hate them at this price point. Shower acceptable/standard for a mid-range chain. Shuttle every 30 minutes, more frequent would have been nice since Uber was almost 40. Just dinged on price/value.

Great stay. The only thing we didn’t like was, if you were using the airport shuttle it took forever!! And there was no route to check it! We had to take a bus then a sir train to get in the shuttle to get to the hotel (this is for people who aren’t using a car).

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. The front desk was disorganized and assigned me a room that was already occupied. I had to go back to the lobby twice because they kept giving me the same room instead of resolving the issue properly.

The coffee maker in the room did not work. When housekeeping came by, I asked them to replace it, but it was never changed. On top of that, housekeeping did not actually clean the room.

Parking was expensive, especially considering the overall condition of the property. The hotel was not in the best shape, and the service did not meet expectations.

Overall, this was a frustrating stay, and I would not recommend it unless they improve their front desk coordination, housekeeping, and room maintenance.

Spent one night. Check in was quick and easy, the Hotel restaurant had good food choices and the staff were very nice and quick. I liked that they had options to by over the counter useful pharmacy-type stuff, although I didn't need to use that option (good to know they have it). Parking was easy. Overall a positive experience.

Check in waa easy and security deposit was lower than other hotels. However, the bathroom was NOT clean. Mold in the shower, dirt on the floor, tissue paper was empty. Elevators also looked dirty. Also called the restaurant to place an order so we could go downstairs once our food was ready and we were told we can only order ahead if it was take out. Also, no pool

We received an excellent room. The manager was great and changed our room immediately. The main problem is that they tried to debit my card for 3 times: first time with a higher amount which was refused. Second time with the correct amount, and the third time after I left - they charged me for no reason. I want someone from Expedia to reach me.

If there were an option to give negative points, I would choose it. This hotel is a scam. They consistently overbook their rooms.
On the day I arrived, my fully paid room was canceled without any notice. The staff referred me to a different hotel , which of course I have to pay more and that did not have enough beds to accommodate my entire party. I was told that I would have to pay for a taxi or Uber out of my own pocket to get to the other hotel. It’s around $50-60 for 1 way. I was also told that I could contact the manager to request reimbursement.
However, the manager’s contact information was not available. The only way to reach him was by calling the hotel’s main line and asking to speak with him. As a result, I had to spend the entire night sitting in the lobby.
During that night, at least 30 guests were turned away because the hotel was overbooked. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.

Hotel was ok as far as food and staff. Cleanliness needed some work. I would NEVER stay there again or recommend it. It was the noisiest place that I have ever stayed! Loud music, a band eas playing until 2 am, doors slamming, people in the halls all night...yelling, talking on phones, in and out of there rooms all night. The hall sounded like romper room with adults. Never again.

The stay itself was fine but I checked my invoice the night before checking out and saw that I had parking charges on there even though I had no vehicle while visiting and I spoke to the front desk and the lady said it was removed. The morning of checkout I saw it was still on my receipt so I spoke to the front desk again and she informed me she cannot remove it because she needs to speak to the other attendant to see what was said before doing so 🙄🙄🙄. Ma’am do you not also work at the hotel! Can you not see a parking ticket was not scanned at the gate ever for our room #. So now we are waiting for this conversation to take place before we can get a refund.

This is my second visit to this property however, this time my fiance and I was not pleased with the breakfast that was served. It was not worth $19 per person. Also I could not sleep due to my air conditioning not working properly. No one wants to sweat and sleep...very uncomfortable. Customer Service was no help.

I booked our room with ease. We arrived and checked in, the lobby was very busy. Elevator buttons and doors could've been cleaned better. Our room was clean and cozy. Small bathroom, great view of planes taking off. We ate at Ted's- clean restaurant good food. We went to our event and were so happy to grab snacks and drinks after hours at the store in the lobby. Its a busy hotel but once in your room you dont hear too much. We will book again

Especially Wash Rooms are very dirty and no lock for wash room door and Hanger for towel. And no vacuum’s for corpet. Overall it’s very uncomfortable to stay at IHG Airport.

And Rate is very high.

Only one good thing is there is free shuttle for Airport pickups and drops

But for an Airport hotel the room was pretty spacious.

Basic lodging when traveling in/out of Newark. Terrible gym, full of sweaty young folks, cramped, no a/c. Great laundry. Weird shuttle drivers who seemed less concerned with getting travelers loaded than with leaving on the stroke of the hour.

I liked Benjamin who checked my husband and I in! I liked our clean, inviting room! It was very comfortably set up, so we had a place to open all of our bags—checked in, as well as carry ons! The other staff we want to mention by name are Laura at the Snack Bar—she makes one good bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant sandwich! The green tea was great also! Maria, from South America, is a hostess/waitress at the restaurant close to the registration desk! She waited on us both nights we were at the hotel and her service always came with a smile! When I told her tonight that we were leaving early in the morning, she accepted my hug and enthusiastically responded by giving me a hug back!

Our stay has been wonderful, but it’s time to go home to California tomorrow!

This is a very busy place that could have used double the staff at check in. We waited nearly 30 minutes. Once we reached the desk the staff were very nice. No luggage carts available. No luggage racks for suitcases in room. Only staying one night so did not want to empty Rooms are clean and spacious with extra chairs. Also liked their large oval table on wheels. suitcase so had to keep them on the floor. There is a restaurant, bar and fast food take out ‘cafe’ We did not want to pay $19 each for the usual complimentary breakfast. Parking was free and location was great.

The gym door stopped working one morning and the staff failed to help me get in. They couldn’t even get into gym so I ended up being late for work and did not get to go to gym. The staff also told me that I could not transfer my IHG points to my membership because this specific hotel does not allow me to because I booked with a 3rd party. The hotel condition is great, but the staff is some of the worst and laziest I have seen at a hotel. No sense of urgency and do not really care about guests.

I wish I had checked out a map of EWR airport as I waited at the wrong spot for pick-up. The text from the hotel said to wait at P3 so when I went out from terminal A there was a sign \"3\" and I waited incorrectly there. From terminal A, one needs to take a shuttle to the air train to P3 building for the hotel shuttle pick up. Also, in the morning there is no sign up to reserve a spot for the shuttle to return to airport, so I went down way early to be sure I got a place on the shuttle. The staff except for one were helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and clean.
