And there was cleaner guy called Lucas who was stealing people's staff and was abusive.
There was bed bugs made complain and they just ignored wasn't only me either.

i think it is the cheapest hostel in London... price is really cheap... Amenity and property is soso but it is good because its price is really cheap... shower rooms are really small and frankly i was not comfortable taking a shower and a bed is so so... but i cant say its property is bad because its price is really cheap... if you want the cheapest place, then it could work.. but if you find a good place for comfort and relax, i think it is not a good option.

There was no internet in the rooms at all. The beds are really unconfortable and there's no space for your things in that small room. The lockers are all broken so you'll be constantly worried about your things.

£20 for a nites kip in London near a station. I can't complain! Staff were as expected from other reviews polite, friendly helpful.
For £20 the facilities were old and well used, a bit damp and mouldy smelling but this is a backpackers stop!!!! So as expected. I was in a 6 person room. The other residents had left the window open which was fine to air the room out.
The shower was manageable. If you want high-end, pay for it!

Got everything you need at a great price. Hard to find. Everything about it reminds me of student digs. Nice folk run it and has student homely feel. I would stay there again if I could but it has an age policy. I thought students never got old

At the check in they couldn’t find my prepaid reservation it was about 10 min to find and give the keycard.
Check out was 5 min, I was the only one at the reception.
They charged me 2£ to store my bag for a couple of hours (advertised free).

I don't enjoy trashing anyone's business, but I feel honor-bound to warn fellow travelers that the Phoenix is in desperate need of a rebirth by fire. In a single night, I was driven out of my room by the most horrific body odor I've ever smelled (imagine being waterboarded with several layers of soiled gym shorts), witnessed part of the ceiling cave in, saw rodents scavenging in plain sight, and was woken up at 6:30 AM by an inmate pulling the fire alarm (though admittedly this last part wasn't the hostel's fault). The one aspect of my stay that wasn't horrific were the property managers, who were gracious enough to at least let me sleep on the downstairs couches instead of my uninhabitable room and offer breakfast on the house. The downstairs bar is cute enough and the rooms would be okay if thoroughly cleansed and ventilated, so there's potential for redemption here, but a lot needs to be fixed (including a minimum standard of cleanliness for lodgers) before I could responsibly recommend the Phoenix Hostel to anyone other than my enemies.

The hostel is at a fairly convenient location. The staff are awesome. Great price for a beer at the bar. But that’s about it. Everything about the living space was uncomfortable. The bed felt moist. The room was in uncomfortable setting, dark walls, couldn’t sit up on the bed, no WiFi signals and very stuffy. it was unbearable that I had to shower again at 2am every night under the heatwave. The bathrooms are terror. Everything was in bad condition and dirty. I had to fish out my flip flops from the flooded shower stall. Water pressure didn’t exist in some showers. It was literally dripping. The place was really not favorable that every day after sightseeing I’d rather kill time outside than going back. But I have give the biggest credit to the staff there. They are really friendly polite and helpful. they tried to their best to smooth things up.

It was an OK hostel, the price is really good and it's really close to the underground, which is really convenient. The beds are comfortable, but the restrooms really need some reparation. Some smell like humidity and the edges of the door were lacking of painting.
The staff is super nice, they were always cleaning the toilets and showers and they answered questions with a good disposition.
