The hotel decor and room facilities are minimalistic to the point of being not comfortable, lack of shelves, place to put down your bath stuff or store your luggage. In order to change cloths you need to lift your suitcase and place/open it on top of the bed. Not for us. We are not coming again.

Breakfast was perfect sized. Not over indulging. Room was small but functional. I’d only recommend having some cosy lighting. And being in London it’s difficult to find a small boutique hotel where you don’t hear noise from the corridor or other rooms. Good stay and close to edgware road tube and busses, which is a bonus.

This room should not be a hotel room and even less associated to the Mariott brand or anything related to vacation.

First of all, it's not the room we picked - im pretty sure the room had a window, and window room name matches with what's on the receipt. There is one single plug in the entire room and it stopped working. I stand corrected: my wife says 2 plugs, one close to the other. They both stopped working. After the shower, a bipping noise has started. When informing the staff, I got told to let them know if it happens again and record it. It happened again. Staff came and disabled the entire electricity pannel.

The room was as dark as a bat cave, but with a striking green light on the ceiling, making impossible to sleep facing the door.

Shampoos and soap bottles where 1/5th filled.

It should be ilegal and it's a shame to the mariott brand to put a room like this available and provide this kind of service and then charge 400$ USD the night.

It was a relief to leave.

Room was compact but comfortable and exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, the service at reception seemed very disjointed and the check in process was very slow and tedious. Overall a good stay, but mainly due to the beds being very comfy rather than the overall service. If things can be streamlined a bit this could be a great hotel.

Ok stay, strange hotel room which was back behind the reception, no mention when booking the room that it would be bottom floor with frosted windows, very dark and gloomy with a teeny tiny bathroom. Checking in took a while, other guests complaining about the frosted windows. Ok for one night as needed to be closer to Paddington station but wouldn’t stay again.

Our double room was tiny though. Literally just enough room to get around the beds, the bathroom is large in comparison.
Under bed storage is a great idea but not enough room to manoeuvre a suitcase into it.
To access the safe under the bed you have to lay on the floor - which was just wide enough to do so.

Our visit started with us being switched from one hotel in this chain to another and we did not get the room we paid for the first night. We were concerned this hotel wasn't going to work out for us and I have to acknowledge the front desk staff for turning a bad situation into a good one through conscientious service. Within two days, we were very comfortable in the hotel and felt safe in our room. The common areas here are very cozy and it generated a nice feel in the lobby area. For those focused on a plant-based diet, the Yeotown restaurant had many options and really opened my eyes to what could be done with vegan and vegetarian cuisine. It's worth it to make some time to use the salt room or join one of the yoga sessions. These quieter spaces in the hotel made for some very balanced living during our stay. Finally, Fernando who works in the bar/and restaurant became an immediate friend with friendly service and a warm welcome. We really enjoyed his delicious cocktails.

So many things not right about this hotel! Firstly we were given the worst room in the hotel despite booking weeks in advance. It shouldn’t even be sold as a room because it had no window!! Just a ‘window’ that faces into the internal atrium area of the building - so no air or privacy or security or peace! On one night we were subjected to very loud clear sex noises, prolonged and echoing and amplified due to the internal ‘courtyard’. I was travelling with my 10 yr old son so it was unacceptable to say the least. Secondly, the room was so box-like that I was feeling claustrophobic and I don’t usually suffer from that! The bed was against the wall and VERY lopsided. We could barely turn around or walk past each other without hitting something and the suitcases had to be on the floor creating even less room! The rest of the hotel was a series of pokey corridors, lots of stairs at every turn and at least 3 narrow doors just to get from A to B. The only nice thing about the hotel was the library/lounge area - stunning comfy layout but unfortunately silence only so not much of a useful gathering open place! The staff were pleasant and helpful with basic things but it took me 2 days to get a part refund with the manager being very timid and reluctant. The other negative is that despite being Hyde Park/Paddington, Edgware Rd is a very culturally distinct Lebanese/Arabic, even the supermarket, so it was impossible to get any other cuisine and it was overbearing. Pretentious hotel!

The property was well located for Hyde park, however, the floors in the room were dirty and the room was hot and noisy. There was no way to open the window and as it was a lower ground floor room, it was stuffy and hot, making it dry through the night.
From 8am on the Sunday morning, there was cleaning and furniture being moved around which disturbed us, we werent rested leaving the hotel.

Disaster, but too tired to care.

Just been with the mrs through 40 hours of labour and was at a hospital nearby. I had booked last minute as I wasn't allowed in recovery. Booked a premium double, ended up with a disabled room next to a freezing cold window where the bed was damp all evening. Couldn't get in the shower for a large disabled chair blocking me. Got knocked on and rang out of the shower for setting off the fire alarm then accused of stealing their hair dryer and phone cables! Either I'm the worst hotel guest or they are the worst hotel...I pick the latter.

Nice finish but a bit cramped and noisy

I specifically requested a room on upper floors to avoid basement caves which have bad reviews. I got room 310 (top floor) so appreciate they took the request into consideration.

Pros:
- Nice decoration, fixtures - finished to a high standard
- Good eco credentials. Cool wooden keycards and no stupid single-used plastic bottles.
- Decent location
- Good service

Cons:

- Soundproofing of rooms, doors and external windows is pretty poor. Thankfully other guests were quite respectful but even then I was woken by movements in other rooms/doors being opened etc. Original sash windows are thin, noise and condensate showing poor insulation.

- Room quite small compared to the likes of the Metropole. Common for Paddington though. Feels cramped to sit on the toilet or shower.

- Clothes hangers obscure the TV if they are actually used which is an annoying design.

- Hot water takes a long time to adjust in the shower. Turn it up or down a bit then wait 1-2mins for it to actually change temperature.

Staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful, from the moment I arrived untill I left, it was clearly an inconvenience that I was staying at the hotel. Asking questions or inquiring about facilities was clearly an offensive topic to those that worked there. After having to find things myself, to view the gym/sauna that I was told were fully booked, to see if the facilities were of a good quality for potential next stay, I found the facilities in the dark and not a single person using them. When the staff were confronted about their lies they were completely indifferent. There are enough over priced hotels in London to stay at without staying at one with this sort of staff.

Gym -is a very minuscule room with a peloton, a bench, a few weights. Only available 7-7 with prior booking, 1 person at a time for 45 min. The logistics don't work for a hotel.

The rooms are very small. You can't sit and read/chat etc in the room. Instead you have to use library space --which the website says \"our library is a noise-free corner \". Nope. That's where all the business people conducting zoom meetings, business calls and people trying to eat go. Perhaps if the rooms were bigger or if they had another room for business it wouldn't be such a jumble. Library was also frequently dirty with people leaving food, cups etc. Can't blame cleaning staff as that's on people as well, but perhaps if there had been a garbage in the room it would be less so.

Never saw much of the healthy snacks --just a few a apples/bananas quickly gone.

Solo travel in a room might be Ok, if you're just using it to sleep. Room door couldn't be closed quietly no matter how one tried. Door slams closed when you come & go, sorry sleeping neighbours.

Rooms are ecstatically pleasing -- reality makes them unfunctional. Towel rack @ end of shower. (hand held)--Try keeping your towels dry or getting them to dry in that set up. Never could get the shower temp to be anything but scalding or ice cold. As you stand in ankle deep water. Having to shut off / on to lather up etc.

AC never worked. And yes, for both shower and AC we had a hotel person come in to check. We were told it was fine.

Beautiful hotel very close to Paddington station, tucked away enough so that the area feels quiet. The room is small (which is expected in that part of London) but is well put together, lovely finishing touches like sparkling water available to fill up from the hallway and decorated nicely. I really liked the library room which was just off the reception, great place to wait for someone to get ready / work from read.

Might be best to book directly with the hotel for the best rate as Expedia seemed to have charged an inflated rate for this hotel during my stay and unwilling to price match.

The hotel was otherwise truly delightful and restful. We booked a \"Deluxe Double Room\" and were given room 101, which is a flight of stairs up, they do have a porter who can help with your bags.

It's more spacious than I expected, though I was traveling with my 3-year-old who may not take up as much space than if I was traveling with another adult. The room has a window that faces an indoor courtyard and may not be the most scenic view but does offer natural light. The shower was powerful and bathroom a good size if you are used to living in an apartment in any urban city, it's bigger than my condo's! Great for business travelers!

Thoughtful touches like charging cords for your phones, in-room water, fresh towels daily, etc.

Overall a comfortable stay that I chose for its sustainable mission as well as for its location. It's easily walkable to Paddington and to Hyde Park and the stations around the Park too. There could be bigger rooms in other hotels but we were out and about much, and I have found it lovely to hang out in the common areas like the wonderful library, get a cup of tea from the reception and just lounge there.

Everyone we met at the hotel from the staff to other fellow travelers were lovely - just great vibes all around especially if you're after a true boutique hotel experience!

I did think it was strange that I had to reserve the gym room for use and then people kept knocking on the door to come in to get yoga mats in the middle of my session. It was frusterating. They should have the mats outside of the small reserved room for easier access and to not disturb people working out.

My room had a weird single glazed internal window that looked out over a mezzanine style opening to the gym on the floor below and a main hallway area. That meant that every noise that went through those spaces came into my room stating at 6am.

Just what we needed for a one night stay in London after our flight was cancelled. We booked it very last minute. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. Initially we were given a room in the basement but when I reminded them I had requested an upper floor, they quickly accommodated us in a second floor room. We were given a 1:00 checkout when we asked about luggage storage before our trip to the airport. We truly appreciated all of the effort this hotel put into being eco-friendly and a little oasis for their guests. The rooms are small for an extended stay or people travelling with large luggage but we had personal backpacks and carry on luggage and it worked out well for us. The concept of this hotel was unique to us and just what we needed after some very busy travel days. It’s a little jewel in the heart of a very busy city. We would definitely recommend staying there and will return when we are back in London.

The staff were very blunt, lazy and a little rude unfortunately. They were not off to a good start at all! The room (deluxe double) was tiny, we could not have stayed there for any longer than 1 night and even that was not pleasant for 2 people!

The air conditioning unit was broken. It was 25 degrees and the air conditioning wasn’t working. The room had no windows and felt like we were in a sweaty basement.
I asked the staff about this and they didn’t do anything to help at all. They just said “we know that the air conditioning isn’t great”. I had to ask twice for a fan or something else to help us out and they reluctantly went to get us a fan which did help a little. But without me having to repeatedly ask for this nothing would have happened I am sure.

I will never be staying here again and for the price we paid we have been completely ripped off! Not happy at all!

Great idea but not quite as advertised.

A lovely hotel but a lot of my stay was not as advertised. Specifically no personalized aromatherapy on arrival, no vegan restaurant - was vegetarian and only open for breakfast, which meant that I arrived to the smell of poaching eggs! There were always 2 to 3 people at the front desk but they were not helpful, they did not for example offer to help me out the door when I left with my suitcases. The worst part was the bed which was very high and uncomfortable.

We were very happy with our stay at Inhabit, Southwick St. The location was very close to many public transport options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived well before check-in, but they allowed us to leave our bags so we could begin to explore the city. When we did get our room, it was clean and the beds (two twins) were very comfortable.

The small bathroom can be a challenge for large people (including myself) but I think that's the norm with many European hotels. We managed just fine.

We would definitely stay here again if we return on another trip.

The hotel is nicely decorated, though not as nice / not as spacious as the sister hotel in Queens Gardens. Reception desk area was a bit messy, staff not particularly welcoming, I couldn't find the room and the staff seemed to struggle to find it too. Poorly sign-posted narrow corridors leading to rooms. Miniscule tight shower, pretty uncomfortable as it was so small. Overall it was just fine, not outstanding.

The hotel itself is lovely and the staff excellent. But unfortunately we did not sleep well at all (room 001). The bed was very firm with a sweaty plastic undersheet. The pillows were rock solid. Most disturbing, there was a loud “hum” in the room which we noticed as soon as we returned there in the evening - it seemed to be some sort of mechanical/electrical noise which surrounded the room. It disturbed us all night until it finally stopped at 4.21am. No idea what it was but, along with the uncomfortable bed, it kept us awake for hours.

This is a nice, smaller hotel. This is a typical London set up of former terraced properties now forming a single hotel. It has a lot more character than the modern, purpose built hotels. It has evidently had an extensive refresh and it is clean and modern throughout.

The location is great for the Paddington area. There are plenty of local pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants etc within an easy walking distance and the hotel front desk was able to offer good recommendations.

The hotel is generally \"cosy\" in scale, but there are some nice public areas including the library and a meditation pod.

The room was a nice, clean well fitted room. It was ideal for me for a short stay. I find the modern habit of having no wardrobes a little frustrating.

The hotel provides free tea and coffee off reception and there are no facilities to make hot drinks in the room. I was able to borrow an iron and ironing board quickly on request. The room was quiet despite the city location. I slept well

My only negative is that I felt that my mattress was a little old and lumpy feeling.

Breakfast is either inclusive or a la carte. I had the latter. The menu is mostly vegan and focused on healthy options. It seemed fresh and of good quality. It was certainly tasty. Service was very good.

I was impressed with the quality of the hotel for the price paid considering the fairly central location.

The room was TINY but comfortable enough. The bed is in the corner so you will be climbing over your partner or trying to edge to the end. The bathroom is small but the shower has good pressure and temp. There is some noise from the rest of the hotel but overall it was ok for the night. Very close to the station but not much around the hotel

I enjoyed a very pleasant stay in January 2023. The staff were very friendly and always keen to assist in anything required.

The hotel itself was very good with nice decent sized rooms and toilets. hotel is nicely placed near Paddington station and the inroom comfort made it very good.

My suggestion would be to get electric socket next to the bed along with the USB slots offered or offer a USB C slot with the existing USB slot as most phones are now using a USB C outlet.

I wanted to extend my stay and the manager Angelo was nice enough to give me a competitive rate without having me to move out of my room to another. Will definitely be back.

A true gem! Stayed for 7 nights and had nothing to fault. Don’t let some of the reviews put you off - had more than enough space to live and work from for a week. Location is the perfect distance from the station and every one of the staff I dealt with were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Nice place, great location, lots of little snags!

The hotel itself is lovely in terms of the chill out spaces. Location close to paddington is excellent. The room looked great however the devil is in the detail, a fair few snags made me feel less great about the price point. The main thing was being in the basement and the noise insulation and climate control not great - climate control panel doesnt actually control anything and permanently at 25 to 27 air temp. I took earplugs so i was ok. Shower tray overflowed on first use which i sorted out but it was not great to experience. The doors to the room and to bathroom were both slightly hanging off so needed a push to fully close. My key to the room didnt work first time so had to go back to reception, i was kind of made to feel like i didnt use it right! Cleanliness is great, most staff were lovely particularly the guys who acted as kind of porters helping with luggage and just being on hand generally. I like the eco aspect of the hotel. Toiletries and the shower were both so sp good! Under bed storage is brilliant. No one mentioned the aromatherapy customisation when i got there and how that worked thought it seems to be mentioned as a usp.

The rooms are tiny! The fire alarm went off twice during our stay waking us up at night and early in the morning. It was to do it with the alarm being too close to the bathroom. For two adults with a large suitcase, there is no space to move. No wardrobe to unpack. There is no coffee or tea in the room, as there is nowhere to place it. It was the smallest room I have ever stayed in, and we travelled a lot. It is my first bad review as well, as generally, I don't like leaving bad reviews. I understand that space in London is premium but thus us a step too far. In case of a real fire, people would walk on top of each other in the many small corridors leading to rooms. I can't imagine an average build man having a shower in such a small shower cubicle.

I regret booking this hotel and would rather stay somewhere else.

On the plus, the bed was very comfortable, with good quality bedding and duvet. We would have had a great night's sleep if it wasn't for the fire alarm.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a great menu with lots of super healthy options. The decor is calming and easy on the eye. The mistake was made at the planning stage, where they cramped too many rooms on one floor.

Also, it's not a 4-star hotel. The extras that 4-star hotels should have were not there.

We wouldn't choose to stay there again.

unique hotel with lots to offer

Once we learned our way around the hotel, we loved it. The shower is small and hard to shave in, but the rest of the hotel is new, clean and has a wonderful staff. There was a Sauna too that helped me recover after the London marathon. Great location from Paddington Station and easy to get anywhere in the city and it's also away from the tourist crowds. Highly recommend Inhabit and we will stay there again for sure.
