Staff were courteous but beds were very uncomfortable, tumblers in rooms weren’t very clean, en-suite bin was all dented, light above mirror didn’t work, overflow space in sink had never been cleaned. First impressions is the front door……. The steps and tiles leading in had never been swept or washed

The room was fine, bed was comfy however the bathroom was so tiny - they did email in advance to warn of this but we’d already booked & you can’t appreciate just how small it is until you see it! When you sit on the toilet the sink is half over you & the sink also blocks the shower so getting in was a squeeze!

The building was also incredibly warm, it is January but you don’t need the heating on full blast when it’s a warm day outside.

Check in was easy. Despite being an older.property it was well maintained although the ancient lift had some worrying quirks when the doors could.not make up their mind whether to open or not.
Stairs from.3rd to 4th floor are narrow and steep. Awkward even with hand luggage.
Plenty of hot water for the shower and the room was warm.
Main problm for me was that there was no breakfast before 7.30 and i had to leave by 7.20. Close to Paddington so good transport links.

Keeping the price point in mind, this hotel did the job. The location was very convenient and easy to access. The staff was lovely. Luggage storage was fantastic both before and after check-in. I understood that it's an older, converted building. I was still surprised to be woken up by a neighbors alarm over multiple days, from different rooms lol - very thin walls.

The location is perfect! Right up to Paddington to get anywhere and right down to oxford street; the staff is very gracious - prices good. Property is a little worn and could use refresh, but still clean. Breakfast according to my father was perfect.

The room had a huge black hair in the shower, no AC, brown crusted chunks on the spare blanket and was way too small. It was 58 stairs up and another 15 down for breakfast and the elevator was broken and no alternate room was offered to us. The staircase wall to get to breakfast had a lot of water damage and a hole in that wall was covered with a sheet of paper.

Great location so close to paddington station kensington garden, many shops and restaurants. The hotel is very narrow, quirky, small room, but all we needed. Comfy beds, good amount of water. Breakfast was good, very clean breakfast room. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

The location is fabulous if you are getting around by subway. The chambermaid did a spotless job in cleaning. The room was adequate for the price. I was not expecting more. The carpet, though, needs a thorough steam cleaning.

This property is in a perfect location for all near Paddington Station. Yes, the rooms are on the small side however the staff especially Denish make up for space. We walked everywhere and felt safe in doing so. Close to some fabulous restaurants and especially Paddington Station itself. I would highly recommend.

The hotel staff were all very friendly. The rooms was clean and well maintained although the bathroom was quite small. Breakfast was continental and ogfwred aome good choices. Parking is very limoted but staff were able to navigate me to a neaeby parkinb location. Transport links were good. A little noisy in the morning as we were near the Breakfast room. Beds were comfortable just no heating adjustments facilities in the room. Overall a pleasant stay.

Hotel che non rispetta quello che ci si aspetta.

Non posso concepire che ci sia stata consegnata la camera con la biancheria del letto di chi ci ha soggiornato prima di noi, la cosa è stata confermata dal personale, per 2 giorni di fila ho dovuto chiedere la cara igienica che mancava nel bagno, sicuramente a causa del fatto che non veniva pulito, evidente dalle macchie sullo specchio e da quelle nel WC, il secondo giorno si sono a detta loro, dimenticati di rifarci la camera, la mouquette presente nella camera non è mai stata aspirata, i serramenti delle finestre cadono a pezzi, in un angolo della reception era chiaramente visibile una trappola per topi. devo ammettere che il personale è stato molto gentile e premuroso questo aspetto non è sicuramente sufficiente per la mancanza totale di pulizia, il tutto per circa 200 euro a notte.

Staff were friendly, helpful & welcoming. Attic room was very compact but adequate for 1 night stay. Despite being advised that the lift only went to the 3rd floor, & we would have to access the room via a flight of stairs, were not made aware of exactly how steep, narrow & winding the staircase actually was. In addition, there was no handrail on which to hold on to, and both ascending & descending the stairs with luggage made us feel anxious & concerned for our safety.
The breakfast was described as continental, there was plenty of choice & food was good quality and replenished regularly.

Mediocre hotel in London

We were first given a basement room. We asked to be moved and were moved to a 3rd floor room but a very, very small room. There was no control for heat and each morning after taking a shower we had to open the door because the room was too hot and humid to get dressed. The hotel location was terrific, the breakfast was mediocre, the bathroom was extra small and there was hardly any room to put a suitcase. We would spend more money for a better hotel in London next time.

A warm and friendly welcome, very helpful staff, comfortable and modern room with air comfort control. Rooms are a bit tight - especially the bathrooms, but when in London who spends their time in the hotel room.

This was our third or fourth stay here and it wont be our last.

Small room - typical of London for this price. No service really compared to other rooms/hotels in the area ….the drain in the shower didn’t drain well - so we had to turn off the shower while showering….and my guess is there had been some floods as the room smelled musty.

The stay was terrible, there’s a lift in the hotel that only takes you to the 3rd floor. We were on the 4th. You had to climb another set of stairs that twisted around were you’ll nearly lose your balance. The room was the smallest room ever. The bathroom is that bad you can stand in it but you can’t even close the door because it’s that small. The shower was a struggle to even get into it was that bad. And the temperature on the shower didn’t work so it was boiling. There were bottle caps on the floor and dust everywhere so the room definitely wasn’t even cleaned before we entered it yet we weren’t allowed to check in early?! The only good thing was that the bed was relatively comfortable. Will never be back.

I have stayed in this hotel before as a single. But this time the room was so tiny there wouldn’t have even been space for a handbag let alone my suitcase. Lift was out of order and tiny room was on third floor. This room should not be sold at all. Would just fit the vacuum cleaner that blocked the hallway.

We chose the Queensway Hotel primarily for its convenient location to Paddington Station. It is within an easy walking distance. The hotel is in a restored an updated row of old Victorian townhomes & is rather quaint looking on the outside. The inside is very plain with basic decor, but we did find it very clean. Our room was small as expected by the description. There is no air conditioning & we happened to arrive during a heat wave & our room was stiflingly hot. We had two tiny hand held fan that we travelled with & that was our only breeze. During cooler weather it would probably be fine. The bathroom was larger than expected but didn't have any kind of shelf to put toiletries on, so that was somewhat inconvenient having to step out each time to get the necessary items to apply makeup etc. The desk in the room was attached to the wall in the corner with a mirror hung on the wall over it but perpendicular to the desk. That was the only place to plug in a curling iron to fix my hair, but I had to sit at the opposite end of the desk to see myself. The staff however, was very accommodating & had checked in advance to see if we had any special requests. Told them I couldn't do many steps so they placed us on the first floor. The elevator only covers three floors. Price was fair given its location & for a couple of nights, it was a place to sleep. Likely would not choose it again mostly because of no AC.

When I asked the front desk clerk if the would arrange a cab for us back to the airport I got the biggest run around of an answer anyone has ever given me. He only had one number to call and it wasn’t working. Really? In the city of London you only know ONE taxi service? I wound up doing Uber but my gosh that was negative customer service experience.

Lovely building in fantastic location. Victorian building , so there are steps to take even with the lift. May not be suitable for everyone. Our room even has steps down to the bathroom from our actual room. (Private and attached, just down a small staircase). There is no AC. Our room was in the back with no airflow and it was hottest day of the year so it was quite uncomfortable . Fans were provided. Overall a good value

Great location however let down as the shower was scalding hot and wouldn’t cool down at all and the room was unbelievably hot, there were fans but this just moved the hot air around. Breakfast is basic, cereal, eggs and toast. Nice staff but needs updating and air con!

Quiet and good location

Recently modernised room, with aircon, though some people in our party had aircon that didn't work.
Bathroom was compact, but served it's purpose well.
Importantly the bed was comfy and the room was quiet.
Basic breakfast (eggs [cook your own], fried eggs, bagels and pastries, as well as yogurt and cereal, jam and butter etc.
Property does have a lift, though this takes you to an \"in-between\" level, meaning you then have to either walk up 14 odd steps or down 14 odd steps!
Staff all pleasant.
Good WiFi. Handy location (6 min walk) from Paddington or Lancaster Gate tube.
Would certainly stay again.

Book a 2nd floor not top floor as attic twin room is below a noisy water tank it kept us up all night. Dinash was very helpful and moved us into a quieter room for the second night. Bathrooms are tiny. Property in need of an update. Plug sockets in bedroom didnt work, hairdryer was broken. The venue is ideal for Paddington station and hyde park.

My daughter and I had an awesome stay at this cozy hotel. Just be aware, the rooms are small and the bathroom is tiny (not sure if all rooms are the same), there is barely room to turn around in the bathroom. But it’s clean, safe, and breakfast hit the spot! Super convenient to the Underground and rail stations. Very walkable to a lot of great spots too.

This is an amazing location easy to navigate to the airport and for site seeing you couldnt find a more convenient spot, the hotel is old but you have a clean bed and shower they don’t over sell the spot he staff is great and the price is very reasonable. The restaurants in the area are great and paddington station takes less then 5 min to walk to. If you are doing any bus sighting seeing tours the route is only a five min walk away !!! Would recommend highly

Ridiculously overpriced for what you get

On arrival we asked a few questions to the reception guy but he was not the friendliest and really didn’t want to take time to speak to us
Every time we popped to reception the staff were outside the front door smoking
We expected a cooked breakfast, instead we had damp cereal that had clearly been in the tub for a long while and hard croissants

Nice cozy room at the top of the building, the hotel emailed us in advance to warn us it is a small room! NIce area and easy walk to Paddington station and Hyde Park. Clean and mostly comfortable room, but the window handles were falling off / had fallen off the frame and so it was not easy to close them. Also the pillows were really firm which did not suit us.

My mother in law and I stayed here for a one night stay.
We were greeted by a nice receptionist and check in was smooth and easy.
He explained the directions to our room and off we went.
We had to go down a set of very steep stairs to get to the ground floor, en route there was hotel items crammed into every corner, behind doors, in the corridors. There was a very narrow corridor which you would struggle to get a suitcase through.

Upon entering the room, I was disappointed to see it was very outdated (think 90’s decor).

The bathroom isn’t for for purpose, poor layout, and absolutely NO room for you to place down your toiletries. The sink took a dry long time to clear, when you were washing your face or rinsing your teeth.

The shower was powerful though.

Very small rooms and bathroom.. No aircondition in the rooms and the elevator does not cover the entire floor.. have to climb some stairs which can be very narrow and steep to get to some of the rooms.

Very difficult to maneuver with large suitcases.

Bathrooms, very cramped without a vanity area to rest toiletries etc. The first day wifi was spotty and needed to go into the corridor to connect but as soon as returned to the room it would drop..However, this was fixed the following day after talking to the front desk.

The room is ok but no air conditioning . We had to open the window and curtains in order to get cool air. But there was a window across from us seem to be a hotel staff living quarter. They can see us inside our room. I had to shut off the light to get a little privacy. I will not return nor recommend to anyone.

The rooms are SMALL. I wouldn’t recommend this room to someone with too much luggage or much taller than 5’8. We booked this as our original hotel cancelled on us. Bed was very hard. Shower was very tiny. There was a lift that went to the third floor only and we pressed for it and it never came so I’m unsure if it even worked. Close to paddington station which was nice. Many restaurants and pubs in the area.

To be honest, my room was larger than I expected. London hotels tend to be very small rooms. The bathroom and shower were good sized and clean. This hotel is just a couple blocks from Paddington station (and the Heathrow express) which makes it far cheaper than staying at the airport.

However I will not be booking through Expedia again as I’ve had nothing but trouble since the start of the booking, charged twice (thankfully I noticed) and wasn’t met by unhelpful staff when trying to get a refund. Upon arriving at the hotel they had no record of our booking (Expedia hadn’t sent the confirmation) but thankfully I could prove my booking and there was a spare room otherwise we would have been stranded!!! This is my first experience with Expedia and will definitely be the last

Great location.
Staff very helpful. When we mentioned a problem with the shower, it was repaired by the evening.
Excellent breakfast.
Bathroom rather small. Overall, a good stay.

Location is excellent. Room was small and smelled of old cigarettes. Clean but I stayed 3 nights and the bedding was never changed. Breakfast was not provided with the room. Really, for the price, breakfast should be included. Staff was helpful and kind. I would stay again.

Theo from reception was helpful in fixing a tv issue.
The ensuite single room was very small, but adequate.
There was no AC, but a portable fan was provided.
Location and proximity to Paddington station was excellent.
