Room was clean but \"cosy\", barely enough space for 2 people to walk around each other. Bathroom had a musty ordor bc the fan was non-functional. Location was great, close to Paddington easy to get to other sights, lots of food options nearby and very walkable to Hyde park. Just a security concern of how easy it was to access the hotel from many entrances without anyone noticing. Perhaps a card access for the elevator? Or eliminate the back access via the other hotel and restaurant?

Friendly and attentive staff. First floor room with small window facing a wall, small, warm, tiny unvented bathroom but a nice big bug to keep you company, but don’t worry there is a Nespresso machine to give you coffee in the morning – or wait that doesn’t work either. not their fault, but of course they complete the experience. There were screaming nosey kids upstairs jumping off the bed and landing on our ceiling.

Room was TINY- I have seen bigger small rooms on cruise ships.

Air conditioning did not work our entire 6 night stay. Complained multiple times to the front desk and nothing was done. Apparently the HVAC crew just decided their own hours and couldn’t be bothered?

Only on my checkout, when I complained for a 4th time or more, was I even offered a fan. They never mentioned it any other time and I complained at least 3 times.

Stayed here as a result of a failed booking elsewhere. Expected somewhat luxury at 500AUD a night and got a mouldy shower. Mentioned it to reception and got food vouchers. What I would have preferred was a clean bathroom.
Overall for the price? Not happy.

Great location near Paddington Station—super convenient for getting around. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We booked a standard king room, which was fine for what we needed. Just a heads-up: rooms are smaller than what you might expect if you're used to U.S. hotels, but it worked well for our three-night stay. Daily housekeeping was consistent, and the fridge was always restocked. Overall, a great experience. We’d definitely stay here again.

Mecure Hyde Park Hotel was in a Great Location. Room was small but perfect for a two night stay, clean and efficient housekeeping. Staff were friendly and very helpful, as we forgot our phone charger and they sorted a charger for us straight away. We had breakfast included which was at the Bella Italia in the hotel it was delicious and we had a good choice. We will definitely be back.

The location is fantastic. Just a few minutes walk to Paddington Station. It is a beautiful building in the room was clean and comfortable. It took a while to figure out the heating in the room. The check-in staff were so friendly and helpful but the evening staff were not so much. I usually never get the breakfast included, but did this time and was extremely surprised and impressed with the selection and quality of the food.

Biblically overpriced for a tiny typical London room. Bed was hard, used and tired springs. Pillows similarly poor quality.

Property has made no effort to put in ramps for disabled, or parents with push chairs. Navigating inside is like Tetris, again difficult with luggage and family and pushchairs. Decor is alright. Staff were super helpful when we asked for a cot, which we had requested in advance. “Free” snacks and soft drinks for the exorbitant and usurous room rate was nice though. There are much better hotels and not so small in London. Food options in Paddington are appalling. Tourist land but tourists deserve frankly better.. London and the UK is not what it was..

The property is clean and in a good, walkable neighborhood for many things. The staff is professional and helpful. The rooms are very small but clean. Also, they say they have king-sized beds, but they are the size of a standard Queen. In the US and other Places in Europe, a King is a King, however, at the Mercure Hyde Park, a King is a Queen, and to actually get a King, you have to upgrade, and it's not one bed. Its two twin beds are pushed together, trying desperately to make a proper king. I was told by the staff this is the way it is in Europe, however, I'd just come from Iceland, and clearly, they understand a king bed is a king bed. Again, it appears that Mercure has its own standard, and that is not effectively relayed on their website when booking; therefore, I feel it's misleading. The trash along the sidewalks for days is also a bit gross. The breakfast was decent and easy each day.

Unfortunately, due to a medical issue with my wife, we were forced to leave a day early. We coordinated with the Mecure staff and with our booking company, Hotels.com, for this early departure the day prior as it became apparent my wife would need medical attention. At the time we were given approval by your manager and Hotels.com and told when we checked out, that a refund for the unused day would be credited back to my credit card account.

I woke up in the early hours only to discover a massive bug (or more - as it was coming and going from underneath the bed) going around the room, and eventually disappearing underneath the carpet. The picture doesn't do the size justice, as it's taken from standing on the bed.

I packed my belongings and went to reception, asking for a new place where I could finish getting ready for work.

They first suggested using the gym showers...

After I pushed for a room, they suggested I used someone else's who had just checked out but the room hadn't been cleaned yet!

After I pushed back again did they give me a new, unused room....

I requested to be put in touch with the manager who is still (one month later) unresponsive via email about reimbursement.

Overall horrific experience, extremely poor customer service and more importantly, extremely poor hotel conditions. The hotel is just not clean enough for the price and number of stars it has - you can see the carpet is old and dusty, surfaces look dusty etc.

And in my 20 years of living in London have never, ever seen bugs. It's just unacceptable.

Honestly, the rooms were great and clean. But what really stood out for us was the front of house staff! We arrived late on a sunday with our 2 yo and the staff were so welcoming and helpful beyond their usual duty. They helped me find milk at like 1030 pm for our kid which was amazing! Rooms are great but the staff are exceptional!

Perfect location after SZA concert in Hyde Park, 20 minutes stroll back to the hotel, quicker getting there as other entrances were open and could cut off the corner of the park.
Room was small but not a problem for myself and my daughter as it was only a bed for the night.

Everything is quite small, but most hotels in London are like this. The most helpful bit, is they will store your luggage for free if you arrive early.

Best thing about hotel is the location. Easy to get to from Euston on 2 tubes and also great walking distance to winter wonderland at Hyde park (25 mins). Quick 5 min walk to the tube station to get into central.
Hotel room was small no space to open case which is expected in London. Gave 3* due to the hotel room it smelt like drains especially the bathroom, we had to open the window while in the room to air it out however smell still lingered. Also unable to have a shower as the water built up and did not go down for a long time. Building works going on next door which woke us up at 8am, wasn’t aware until we got there. Overall nice hotel if drain system and smell is sorted. Would recommend short stays 1 or max 2 nights.

Small but clean and well-appointed rooms. Steps from Paddington Station with dozens of bars and restaurants in a one block radius (I counted six places you could get shawarma within a block!).
Only major issue - they rent the rooms out for day use and when I arrived at almost 9PM they said the room wasn’t ready. For me it was only a short wait since I arrived so late but another poor lady in the lobby had been waiting for hours. If they can’t guarantee check in by 5:00 or so, they should state that clearly somewhere before you book the room. You shouldn’t have to pay for room for the “night” if you don’t get into the room until 9:30PM

When we got to our room the carpet was a little dirty, otherwise it was clean overall. We asked about the air conditioning because it did not seem to be working and the staff was not able to help much. The USB outlets by the bed did not work. The park across the street had been taped off. There were noisy people in front of the hotel at night which we were able to hear, but realized the outer pane window of the 2 windows was not shut, so just check your windows. It was nice to have the free items in the mini bar.

My wife and I stayed 10 nights at this hotel during a leisure visit. The hotel was clean, modern, and convenient to surrounding restaurants, stores, and transport links, while the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was also good. The only downside was the size of the room. We knew in advance that the room would be small, but it seemed to get even smaller with each passing day. Nonetheless, it was a small price to pay for a very pleasant experience overall.

This hotel rents out rooms which are not taken care of. When we arrived we were asked to switch to the sister hotel because our room was not ready. The room we were assigned in this sister had an air conditioner which was rattling. We had to go back to reception and request another room. We did get a room in the original hotel booked however that room has single pane windows which were not sealed and later when we wanted to watch tv, the remote volume and channel buttons would not work so we had no sound. The staff was sending someone up to check and no one ever showed up. It seemed that they are aware but didn’t care.

Very dirty room, bad experience

We really don’t like giving bad reviews, but in this case we are going to have to make an exception.

Staff are lovely, and the location is very convenient.

HOWEVER - 1) The rooms are incredibly dirty - see the pictures of the bathroom pan and the stained carpet attached.
2) There was an awful smell in the bathroom all the time, we complained politely- and all they did was pour some beach down the drain.
3) Rooms are small, even by London standards.

This is not an 8 star hotel. At best it is a 6 star hotel. We booked a room with 3 twin beds for 3 nights. The room was for 3 adults. The first night we were not provided the room we booked; we were given a room with 2 twins and a cot. The staff said the type of room we booked was not available and the room available was too small for 3 twin beds. This is correct as the room was tiny. We were also told we could move to the type of room we had booked during the remaining 2 nights of our stay. We were not offered any discount for having to stay in the inferior room. When we were told that we could change to the type of room we booked the hotel staff wanted us to move in 15 minutes. 3 members of the hotels housekeeping staff were waiting right outside our hotel room door to the point of blocking our ability to leave the room. And, no staff member offered to assist us with our luggage when we went from reception to the inferior room nor when we moved to the second room. I posted about our check in experience and when I was checking out the reception staff made a comment about the posting. He also didn’t want to provide a receipt to me because he thought I had paid through “Expedia”, which I had not. I had the worst customer service experience I have ever had at this hotel and will never stay there again.
On a positive note, the breakfast was wonderful and the waitresses superb.

The property was nicer than expected, the AC was key for us after moving from another property. And the bed was pretty close to being king sized ( unlike other properties).

We really enjoyed the staff, very friendly and accommodating.

I especially want to thank both Jabeen and ItChy, who were awesome and made our stay memorable. They greeted us warmly each time we came in, asked about our experiences and got us anything we needed. Valuable employees and make the hotel better!!

Terrible experience. Tiny ground floor cupboard room, dirty carpet, noisy and not at all pleasant. Could hear people showering above, pipes rattling, floorboards creaking. Water pressure for shower was pathetic. Dirty inadequate blind on window. Back door into Bella Pasta for breakfast was a bit strange. Neither good value or a positive experience.

The staff are outrageously rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. The supervisor admitted that a member of staff took a £250 holding fee during our stay without even telling me, this apparently should not have been taken in the first place. They said I should receive this within 24 hours which I did not it’s over 48 hours. I called to enquire to be left on hold, the supervisor was rude and talking over me and instead of being apologetic for their failure and errors she was defensive and disrespectful- a very low standard of customer service

Great location!!! I could catch the Heathrow Express or the underground at Paddington that was only a 3 minute walk from hotel. I walked a ton of sites in one day starting at Hyde Park all the way to Big Ben and the London Eye. Everything was so convenient and people were very friendly if you asked for help. The restaurant for breakfast attached to the hotel was amazing as well with great breakfast options each morning.
