Very close to Paddington Station and easy to get to. Instructions to enter the property were easy. I had a room that overlooked the main road and the windows are not double glazed so can be noisy at times.
Rooms are small but perfect for one night to be close to Paddington Station.

The residence is nice and certainly much more modern than many around this area (I have stayed in a lot as I use last moment stays in this area weekly). The TV did not work unfortunately but that is not a major issue. The shower door was a little loose and someone had splashed drink on the TV which needed a wipe off. But for the cost you cannot expect 5 star. I would definitely stay there again as it was a much nicer room and place than any other similarly priced hotel around Paddington.

I loved the convenience - the check in system with a bunch of honesty cards seemed a bit cumbersome.
However mattress & bedding excellent and the TV screen was big!
Plenty of places to eat around the hotel and short walk to Hyde Park

I was super impressed with my room! For a single, it was way larger than all the other single rooms I’ve stayed at other hotels nearby. Really modern and comfortable, and spotlessly clean! Loved how you can adjust the temperature yourself. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely stay here again.

Great location for getting around. Staff friendly and helpful, especially with the ease of leaving bags before check-in and after checkout.

My single room was small but adequate with a nice bathroom. The rooms are quite close together and narrow hallways echo-ey; doors are quite loud when banging shut.

One major thing to be aware of is the rooms have the original single-glazed sash windows with poor sound insulation, and as the hotel is next to a busy road I highly recommend ear plugs - unless you are a VERY early riser! Loud motorbikes, lorries and police sirens disturbed my sleep from 5am onwards.

My room was on the third floor and as soon as it started raining, the ceiling leaked and the entire bathroom floor got wet. The response time for the staff after 4pm is very slow. The rooms are dated and could be cleaner, my bed sheets had a few stains on them. The room has AC, but you can’t adjust it on the thermostat. Overall, it’s not bad if you’re expectations are low. You get exactly what you pay for.

The biggest sell for this property is undoubtedly its location, moments away from Hyde Park and Paddington station.
The room itself is functional with big windows to make the most of light. However, the floor being wood rather than carpet can make the room feel cold and uncomfortable when having had a shower and getting ready. They have tried to maximise what is available in the room with a tv and chair in front of it but this is in such a position and fixed height for the chair that it won’t be used and is space that could be best used in other ways. The bathroom is too small for what has been put in. I had to always have the door open whilst using the toilet because it is such a tight space, particularly for my height of 6ft. The shower door moving inwards covers the handle for the show so you can’t turn it on to warm up before getting in, forcing you to stand under the cold water whilst it heats up. The stairs at the entrance of the property are also uneven in depth which could make for an unstable walk for some guests. Finally, the door was broken on the final day of my stay. I am unsure how this was managed in the evenings but reception staff were there in the day to mange this.

The staff for this property were pleasant and helpful and location is fantastic. Ultimately it’s some of the design and choices for the space that I think impact how comfortable this stay could be.

The room was not cleaned prior to our arrival. There was hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor, spit marks on the mirror and soap residue everywhere.
The comforter on the bed was ripped and the window did not close properly (even when latched) so even with heating on the room was ice cold and we could hear passerby discuss. The emergency # was a deadend and we received no support. After we complain the next day, the hotel requested photo and ghosted us. They refused to reimburse us.

The room catered for everything you need, such as kettle, tea, coffee, water, wardrobe with ahngers, hairdryer, TV etc. The overall cleanliness was not great and the room needs some TLC. The shower was clearly not cleaned properly in a while and started to show moldy spots. I stayed for two nights and the room was not cleaned or the bin emptied after the first night. One towel was provisioned and not changed either. There was NO hot water when getting up at 5:30 and still not when checking at 6.15 but I had to get ready for work. - I am not sure if this was a one off or happens 'as normal'. The window was not soundproof and the wind brought a draft; the card system (when checking in) is not secure and the opening of the enterance door with the card reader is a hit and miss opportunity - I suggest to get is shown by someone properly to be on the safe side. I booked this accommodation again for next month but will likely cancel due to the above (esp. shower issue).

The room was too dirty; the floor wasn’t even vacuumed. The shower was completely dirty, neither the glass nor the walls were cleaned, and the drains were clogged. In addition, there was noise from the other rooms and from the street; you can hear absolutely everything, from toilets flushing to people walking. Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet my expectations, but I was so tired that I simply stayed there since it was only a one-night stay.

A little hidden gem!

I was apprehensive about booking and staying here, but how wrong could I have been.

Usually I’ll be staying in hotels that would be 3-4 star minimum, with spas etc.

Of course this place isn’t that but for the price you pay, and the cleanliness of the room I would happily recommend this place to friends and family

Great location for Paddington station and also lots of pubs and restaurants within walking distance.

Realise you get what you pay for, and you’ll be blown away.

Had a chat with the team on my departure too and they were so lovely and helpful

My room was on the third floor. Be aware, the residence does not have a lift! The bed was comfortable and the furnishings were sensible. It was good for my short stay, and close to Paddington Station which was the purpose of booking there. There was a pleasant amount of noise from the street and a reasonable view of the park. I really enjoyed my stay.

The front desk was not attended when I arrived at around 10 despite hours saying that it should have been. When there was an issue with the electricity going off, the venue could not be contacted through expedia, whatsapp, email, insta, or facebook to get a response. When they did respond the next day, they said that they had not been able to respond but had sent someone to resolve the issue (I met the person in the hallway within the hour). I told them that I would have expected to know whether the resolution would take an hour or three, and a progress update. Coffee was not refreshed in the room daily.

We arrived during the hours that reception was open and the member of staff explained everything in detail about how to get in and out of the building. Property located in a vibrant and very lively neighborhood, with a lot of restaurants and shops, at walking distance from Paddington train station and subway.
Value for money.

- Noisy: Every door just bangs shut and that went on all night + noisy due to traffic (room at back at main street)

- Reception opening hours 9am-4pm, which felt inadequate from a security perspective as well as not getting answers when needed (I sent a message via text and 4 days later am still waiting for a response)

There's a reason this hotel is cheap, so I accept a lower price but the self-check in works so so rarely. As such, the self-check in instructions are very clear but the door jammed and appears not to work. The phone number on the booking details has too many digits so doesn't connect anywhere, leaving just the option of messaging the hotel via the app I booked through. Then five minutes later someone "randomly walking by" who clearly is an employee, says "there's a knack to opening the door" which is something that should open - a door. Once in, basic as expected and perfectly comfortable room, very functional as most hotels at this price point. Just get the basics right of opening a door.

A revelation...

I don't normally add reviews, but this hotel deserves it. For £54, I got a central London single room for the night, in a refurbished hotel, in a clean and comfortable room.

I almost didn't book it because I thought there must be a catch, given the price, but I'm so pleased I did.

To be aware of - the reception is normally unstaffed. You have to retrieve your room card from a lockbox outside the front door of the hotel (code sent a couple of days in advance). But it all worked very smoothly.

Believe me, I will try and stay here again!

Considering I booked this property for convenience and I did book it very late because I bought last-minute tickets for the boxing, I was rather impressed with the overall facilities and service of the property. Considering I paid £86 to stay in the centre of London near Paddington Station And be able to use a proper shower and hang my clothes up it was very good. however, after returning from the boxing event at Wembley, I was very much looking forward to my sleep however if I’m brutally honest, the bed was probably one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever slept on obviously it was a single as it was just in the room, however the matches is very uncomfortable it was only provided one pillow because of the heat as well and the weather conditions on the hotels fall I was unable to sleep instead of getting the hours I’ve planned probably got about three. It was also an issue not being able to fill up my water bottle anywhere apart from the tap which I didn’t think was the best. But for £86 a place to stay for convenience I was very impressed. I would just wish to have a bigger bed next time potentially but I would definitely come back if the situation was resolved.

Our room was like Harry Potter’s room under the stairs. A tiny shack that did not look like the photos, at all. It was all the way on the 4th floor and there’s no lift in this building, so any coming and going was always a hassle. I understand the building is not equipped for a lift but I wish I knew we’d be on the 4th floor before I booked it. The area is fantastic tho, and the beds were comfortable enough. But the room was too small and when I looked under the bed it was filthy.

Hotel was small and no elevator. The halls were filled of cleaning supplies and the person working the front desk was rude and unwelcoming. The air conditioning in the room was great however! Small room and bathroom ideal for one night wouldn’t stay longer. Don’t expect any level of customer service.
