The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was pretty good. However, the room was tiny and the bathroom was *extremely* tiny. This might have been okay but the whole place felt run down. Everything was worn and falling apart. I would not stay here again.

My son and daughter in law checked out the same day the rooms were not fit for children to stay in. The bathroom cubicle was rusty, the wood was rotting in places. The flooring was coming up. The furniture was in very poor condition. The hotel was in two parts and to enter the part we were in you had to go through a bar which smelled heavily of smoke. We checked out the next day. The photos are really misleading. The only positive was the staff who were very helpful.

This is a nice hotel in a very good location. Our rooms were cool and clean, the breakfast was adequate and the lounge area was quite nice with free coffee. Staff is very helpful and friendly. One improvement would be the shower! Although very small, the bathroom was ok for a couple of days, but the shower (at least in our room) needed some upgrading.

**Good modern hotel near Paddington**

Very convenient location, just a few minutes’ walk from Paddington Station. The hotel has a modern layout and decor, and reception was efficient.

A few things stood out compared with many hotels in this area. There is a lift, which is not always the case in older London hotel buildings, and breakfast was included/provided, friendly and perfectly decent. There is also a small sitting area by reception, with paid drinks available, plus tea and coffee.

The room was modern and comfortable, with air conditioning, a fridge and a Nespresso machine. The shower was very good, although the towels were a bit on the small side. I slept well and would happily stay again.

This was our first trip to Europe and we loved this hotel. The room was a bit small, but we made it work since we were not used to some European hotels. Major kudos to the front desk guy Andreas, there wasn't anything he didn't know and where to find it. The staff was fantastic and the breakfast was first rate. The hotel was in walking distance of Paddington Station and Kensington Palace among other hotspots.

Very much as advertised. Great location near Paddington, friendly staff, clean, but the rooms are very small and the building overall has a very cramped feeling. Was ideal for my recent stay, only wish the rooms had a little more room for a functioning desk. When I asked about this, they did allow me to use the breakfast dinning area for more space to spread out my stuff, which was nice and quite. Lots of great dinning options nearby.

Truthfully it would have been a 5. I felt that the stairs going up to the room were pretty dirty. Also, the bathroom was a bit difficult to use - very slippery materials.

Terrific location - just a block from Paddington Station. You can get to the room from the plane in one hour. No hassle. Room is smaller compared to the US but it is London and not Lubbock. The bathroom is also tiny. A/C worked great. No street noise. Terrific continental breakfast. Top class service. Super helpful & friendly front desk. Fast wifi. Has a mini fridge and a safe. No USB or power outlet next to the bed. Good overall value.

The location is a genuine highlight — steps from Paddington and Hyde Park, which made getting around the city effortless. The staff throughout were warm and attentive, and breakfast was a pleasant enough spread with a welcoming team running it.

That said, the room itself left a lot to be desired. The space is extremely compact — I'm 5'4\" and was bumping my elbows on the shower walls. The showerhead angle directs water straight at the bathroom door, and what looks like long-term water damage on the door frame suggests this has been an issue for some time.

Beyond the bathroom, the room is quite dark and storage is minimal — a couple of shelves, a handful of hangers, and suitcase space under the bed. Outlets are scarce, with none near the beds, which is a real inconvenience for anyone traveling with devices.

If you're a light packer who just needs a base for exploring and won't spend much time in the room, the location alone may justify it. For anyone who values space and comfort, a few extra dollars elsewhere would go a long way.

The staff were amazing. They were friendly and accommodating and assisted in getting tour and theater tickets.The facility was clean and well maintained. The breakfast available had something for everyone and was available for a reasonable amount of time each day. The rooms are quite small and the hallways are narrow but there is so much to do in London you won’t find yourself in the hotel for long anyway.

Area great for transport links with buses , underground and train station at Paddington close by . Check in from 2pm variety of food on offer at breakfast . Room was key card entry and also has a safe in it . Andreas was at the desk when I arrived and I was impressed how he delt with 3 groups checking in before me . An American guest thanked him for all the help he gave them as I'm sure others did . Breakfast great as well from 7am and also got a voucher for a free beer in the Sussex arms close by . Have already planned a holiday in November and going to stay at STYLOTEL again .Based on pictures I took and info passed on my sister also looking forward to a stay in.feb2027 at the same place

Staff were friendly and helpful. Some of the nearby restaurant recommendations we were given, we tried but found much better ones within the same walking distance. We had booked a room for 3 with a double and. single bed. When we arrived we asked if they had a room with 3 single beds instead for the same price. They did and gave us that room. It was in a different building across the street. We are not sure if that room was typical of all the rooms at this hotel but it was in need of an upgrade. Floor was lifted. Felt very tired and need of a paint job. No bedside plugs or lights. Hard to have a shower without leaking water all over the floor as shower curtain did not fit properly. Breakfast was good and great staff in that area. Location of hotel is very close to transit. Overall would not stay here again due to the condition of the room.

The smell of breakfast cooking spread throughout the building, so you would often wake up with that smell. The WiFi on the fifth floor was also not very reliable, and I mostly had to use my mobile data.

On the positive side, the location is good, and the place was generally clean.

Online photos show new decor and lighting. We were assured this new room was ready for guests. In the room we found the smoke detector hanging from the ceiling not looking to be viable. The room is underground without window or an easy escape route. We opted for another room on 4th floor. It was ready for a refresh, windows were leaky and didn’t provide sound insulation. The staff were very helpful with maps, guidance and greeting. Breakfast area was recently renovated and cheerful. Food options were good, service and replenished buffet well attended.

To be honest, I was disappointed with the value of my stay. The staff was EXCELLENT and there were no cleanliness issues, but here are my main complaints: A/C system didn't work, the lights in the ceiling were burnt out, the water in the shower went boiling hot to freezing cold without warning, the bed was surprisingly uncomfortable, and the doorknob was loose. I think I paid $250 for the room, so I was surprised by its condition, and was pleased to have only stayed one night. Lovely location and staff and the building itself is cool, but I do not feel I got good value for my money.

The room was tiny, but I expected that. I had no idea. They could have a shower, toilet and sink in such a small space. The shower feels like a phone booth. Room was clean, but in bad condition, with Russ and rotted wood on the bathroom door exposed acoustics were not good and check in took a while because they were understaffed and they had perishable deliveries stacked up in front of the check-in desk. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed at Stylotel London for two nights and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable—just a couple of minutes’ walk from Paddington Station, which made getting around London so easy.

On arrival, we were kindly offered a choice of two rooms and were advised that the basement room had a larger bathroom and a newer coffee machine. We chose that option and were really pleased. The room was spotless, smelled lovely, and was the perfect size for two people. The bathroom was beautiful, and the modern lighting and Nespresso machine were great touches.

The staff truly made our stay—they were friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond with helpful advice. We were even given vouchers for two free drinks at the pub opposite, which was a lovely gesture.

A standout detail was that our bed was made and fresh towels were provided after the first night. That level of service isn’t as common these days, and it was such a nice surprise to return to after a busy day exploring.

Breakfast is included and was excellent. The dining area is really nice, the food was hot and fresh, and the staff worked hard to keep everything topped up—nothing ever ran out.

I stayed with my 12-year-old son, and he absolutely loved it too. We would happily stay here again on every trip to London and would definitely recommend it.

So... let's start with what is positive.
Location location location; a five-minute walk to the Paddington station, this cannot be beat.
Now the rest...
If you book a room for three guests or more you will more than likely be placed at the property that around the corner from the Stylotel property address. These rooms are above a bar/pub/possibly a restaurant... to which there is an \"entrance\" but most likely you'll be walking through the bar/pub/possibly a restaurant.
The rooms are adequate. The windows do not open so you cannot air out the room. The kitchenette was not clean. Dust on the plates, old food splatters on the microwave/convection oven.
The bathroom is also adequate but there is mold/water damage and the hot water just stopped working on our last night.
The staff, with the exception of the one front desk gentleman with the beard and glasses (he is wonderful) and the one maid we saw, the rest of the staff was rude and at some points non/existent. Toilet paper is locked behind the counter... there is really no place to put away your stuff, but there is a safe... we opted to not have daily maid service because we had our suitcases out.

Everything was great at Stylotel. Riswan was always so helpful, cheerful and willing to try and make things easier for me. I loved my little single room. I was offered a larger room but I turned it down as the single was in the back of the building and the double was in the front. I wanted the room that was the quietest. The only things I would say could be improved is give a washcloth with the towels. Also check the showers. There was a bandaid stuck to the top of of my shower stall. I don't know why it was there. But the cleaning crew should get inside the shower stall and look outward to make sure nothing is manky inside. The breakfast was excellent as well and the ladies that worked in the canteen were so incredibly kind. I loved the little cave area to eat. I will def come back!! Thank you!

I needed an affordable but high-quality hotel room that was in short walking distance from the Heathrow Express at Paddington Station in London. I found that Stylotel entirely met my needs. I was able to check in earlier than the official check-in time, which made the rest of my day in London easier and more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been. I was offered a room upgrade for 10 pounds, which let me have considerably more room space for a very modest fee. Although the hotel was clearly designed to maximize housing in minimum space volume, this was done not only with efficiency but with top quality for all of the facilities; the hotel *felt* good to stay in. The hotel breakfast was of good food quality in a basement dining room that was enjoyable to use. Aside from its convenience to Heathrow Express and the Underground at Paddington Station, the immediate neighborhood also had pubs, restaurants, and shops that were convenient for visitors like me. I would definitely use this hotel again.

This stay was exactly as the majority of the reviews said, clean, comfortable and good price. The staff were super friendly and the free drink at the end of our long day was welcomed. Breakfast was good, not 5* hotel but fresh, plentiful and just what we needed to start our day. We had a suite in another building across the street where the bar was. Double bedroom separated by frosted sliding doors and a pull out sofa bed in a kitchenette. Our adult son and his girlfriend stayed there. Plenty of room, although the bathroom was compact, not the smallest I have been in. We left our bags there for convenience on arrival and when we checked out and the best bit is that it’s only a 5 min walk from Paddington Station. Ideal! Would definitely stay there again.
