I was only in London for 2 nights one day and wanted to be close to Paddington train station - I booked the small double as its only me and I wanted to keep my $ for the rest of the trip.
It's hard to rate this place- staff were all very lovely and helpful, location is excellent, room very clean and for the tiny space was well thought out, bed comfy and I could open the windows which is great I have sleeping in aircon.
Negatives
I was in the basement - no lift and very very steep stairs - I use a walking stick after a double hip replacement this hotel is no good if you have any kind of disability.
In the basement you hear everything in the room above and I really don't need to hear a couple bonking at 2am !!!
Also
Unfortunately the Paddington underground trains rock the basement and are loud so 6am ! You are awake and not asleep till around 10pm

Still for an economic short stay in London
It clean comfy and in a great location- maybe check you are not in the basement if you book!

It’s a perfectly nice hotel, with good location and friendly staff. It’s just the room was dinky. (tiny). With double bed - it’s not suitable for two people. There is no place for the suitcase. And the bed is not comfortable really

Ask for rooms downstairs. Stairs are challenge for the able body and that's not including carrying your on luggage. Space is optimized. Taller than 6'2\", you could hit your head on the sink while sitting on the toilet. Great restaurants in the area.

This was the perfect place for our stay in London. The Paddington station is minutes away, as well as tube stations. The staff was very welcoming making sure to great you with smiles and hellos. Mehdi knows of restaurants in the area and recommends the best ones for your enjoyment. Sandeep and Anna were also very friendly and welcoming. We will come back our next trip to London!

The hotel was absolutely wonderful! It’s a 1 minute walk from the exit of the Paddington Station. We were able to slightly hear and feel the movements of the train because of the close proximity but it was very very faint and personally a bit soothing. Staff was extremely kind and helpful with any questions we had. The area is great, safe, and surrounded by delicious restaurants, pubs, and gift shops. Highly recommend staying in Paddington and this hotel.

We booked a superior double room for the weekend for my partners 50th birthday. I’d emailed to ask if something nice could be put into the room a week prior to our arrival. Just before we were due to arrive I got a response sending me a link to tourist attractions which wasn’t the Prosecco and chocolates I’d asked to pay extra for. We were early (arrived 1pm) so the hotel took our bags and said as the room was ready they’d take our bags straight there for us. If we wanted to check in and go to the room there would be a £20 charge so we said we’d go out and come back later.
When we returned that evening we were given our room number and went to the room to find someone else’s things were already unpacked in there. It looked a spacious room but we went straight out and back down to reception. We should have been given the room next door. Our room was tiny, with a. En-suite built into the room with a false ceiling. You could see the original ceiling over the top of it. The toilet was installed at an angle to fit it in and my partner couldn’t use it with the double doors closed. The basin was also tiny but the shower full sized and very powerful. We were given one pillow each. We didn’t sleep well between the pillow, the constant light coming on in the tallest illuminating our room and the sound from other rooms, even their running water and toilet flushing. On the positive side the staff were very friendly, it was really clean and in a great location but we wouldn’t stay again

First night we were put in the ground floor room. Whole night couldn't sleep as the ground shook every time the underground trains moved.
Second night we were moved into a first floor room and new problem awaiting, the stench of sewage pipes permeate the room as soon as we opened the bathroom door. We complained to the front desk but they simply turned on the extractor fan, which only helped a little. Obviously the noise of the extractor fan is bad too, and we spent whole night feeling like we have fell into a sewage!

Staff are remarkably helpful. Rooms are small (standard for these converted London townhouses). Only downside is the rumble from the tube but that would be true of all the properties near here. Very convenient for wherever you want to get to in London.

I stayed here with my daughter for two nights. The location is excellent—right across from Paddington Station, making it very convenient for the Tube and the Heathrow Express.

Our standard double room was a bit small, and there’s no restaurant in the hotel. However, the room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel couldn't be closer to Paddington station. This was super convenient for comings and goings, but absolutely terrible when trying to sleep or relax in the basement room that sounded like it was on the train platform itself. If you're a train enthusiast, you'll love the arriving/departing rumble of the Tube trains every 2 - 3 minutes. Luckily the trains stop from midnight to 5 am, so at least there are 5 hours of quiet.

Unfortunately, if you value customer service and quality, this is the worst hotel you can stay in.

We arrived at the hotel at 11 pm, and the room was probably 85 degrees despite it being March and 40 degrees outside. They refused to turn the central AC on, and there were no vents in the room to provide air circulation. We could not open the window as it was not screened, and we had allergies and asthma. They offered us a little fan to provide air flow. We woke up drenched in sweat due to the temperature, so needless to say, the tiny fan did not work.

The following day we spoke to the front-desk to potentially talk about a refund for the two remaining nights we had, just to be told the manager had just left, despite calling three times prior in the day and told that he was not in either. We had to check out that night due to the lack of sleep caused from the stuffiness.

We have proceeded to call at least ten times since the end of our stay for almost two weeks now. Each time, we are told the manager is not there. Every time we called, we were told he had left for the day, or that he was on a two week vacation. The receptionist, Usha, went as far as to lie about her name and throw the sweet receptionist (whom we spoke to prior to checking out) under the bus to prevent negative reviews tied to her name. We caught her on her lie and she promised to have the owner call us back. It has been over 48 hours with no call.

So unprofessional and rude overall.

Staff was very friendly and helpful during our late night check-in for an overnight layover between Rome and home. Unfortunately, the rooms and overall facility were just awful to the extent that we opted to stay out all night rather than trying to sleep there. We had reserved 2 superior doubles, which were both poor in quality but also varied considerably in size from one another. Both bathrooms were bad (none of us used the showers) but one was especially small and unsanitary.

We’d picked this property due to its close proximity to Paddington, and to that extent it served its purpose. Beyond that, we found the hotel to have been grossly misrepresented in the photos and listing on this site.

Highly recommend Paramount around the corner for delicious falafel though!

Almost perfect. Room was very small but highly functional. It would be tough as a couple but comfortable for solo traveler.
A little noise and vibration from the subway beneath for the downstairs room.
The area on a Saturday night was busy and a little rough. I wouldn’t want to have my wife with me as she would have felt uncomfortable but close to the station and worked really well.
Note, The AirPort Express does not tun on the schedule on the Heathrow website so don’t expect it before 7.40am on a Sunday

The reason I only gave it four out of 5 stars is the hotel has no elevator. We were on the 4th floor with quite a few pieces of luggage so it was a bit of a challenge. The staff did bring up our large cases though. And our bathroom was incredibly small. It’s about the equivalent in width of an airplane bathroom. You couldn’t brush your teeth at the sink because when you bent over, your bum would push open the door. With that being said, I would still stay there if I was traveling independently but may look at other options with my family since space was very tight!

The staff are great but the rooms are not as expected, not enough amenities, no good view, i was checked in in a basement flood with a tiny room with a view of a small terrace that had only doors. You cal literally wash your hand in a sink while sitting on your bed. They changed my room, one of the staff was great and friendly, but even the changed room was nit as i expected or as i saw in the pictures when booking. The view was to the back of some buildings, the shower took ages to heat up, the check out time is 10 am which is not good at all. Overall, i inly liked the staff and location, but i highly doubt i will go back there as there are cheaper hotels for better quality

Everything about this place was perfect! The hotel staff at front desk were so so sweet! Alex was very funny and helpful when we checked-in, despite how tired we were. Pooja was also so sweet to us - they all felt like friends. Room was spotless, location is right next to Paddington station, loved the area. Only thing is that the washroom was tiny! also lots of stairs to go up to our room since we were on the 4th floor so just a heads up for those that would want to avoid stairs.

We met Alex on our arrival and were immediately impressed with his respectful, helpful attitude. He remained professional throughout our stay. The room was clean, adequately resourced but claustrophobically small. It may suffice as an overnighter and for a single client. The bathroom is admirably clean but again suffocatingly small. I would not recommend the room I stayed in to a person weighing more than 80kilos and taller than 1.8 metres.

The hotel is well located close to the Paddington Station. It is so close you can faintly here the Tube coming and going. The staff was very helpful including carrying my luggage to my room on the fourth floor. There is no elevator. The room was tiny but very clean, and the cost was reasonable. I did not have any hot water in the morning around 8:45 am to take a shower, which was disappointing. Other than that, I would stay again.

The hotel is in a good location, just minutes away from Paddington train station.
The staff were friendly and helpful, with suggestions of what to see and do in London and where to eat.
The only slight niggle I had was the size of the room and ensuite, they are rather small, but saying that, for the price can't really complain.
For a short London stay it was great.

The room I booked was very small which I was aware of. The size of the room wasn’t a problem; There was no heat! I’m not sure if that was something that was listed on the site before I booked it and didn’t pay attention? I thought that was something that all hotels are required to have? The staff support was great in that they handed me a space heater but only after I asked. The space heater helped a bit but the room was already small so that took up a little amount of space that I had. The refrigerator was not working until I told them that it wasn’t it took a total of two visits for it to actually get cold. Thank God it wasn’t that cold. Just to give you guys an idea of how small the room was, I am 5’4” my BMI is within normal range. I had to shimmy out of the shower also you will not be able to sit on the toilet without the door open. I gave the stay two stars because they were nice to me and it’s super close to train station. However, I do think the room was neglected because there is no way you have a room with no heat. I’m sure this room is not booked frequently because there’s just no way. I would like to be compensated.

The checkin guy did not offer to help with bags, when it was a very small staircase and the room was on the 4th floor and there is no lift. Though during the checkout there was another guy, who did help me with my bag. They do not provide any vanity kit, and every time you go up to your room, you would regret your decision to book this property. Stay Away. Also the rooms are smaller than a bathroom, and then in the bathroom, if you stand, you can't even close the door.

The staff are beyond friendly and helpful. Insist on bringing your suitcases to and from your room. Super clean and housecleaning every day. Tea and coffee and mini fridge in the room (no freezer). Rooms are small but good if you are planning on being out all day and only sleeping in the room. Had a tv and heat/ac. Overall great stay and would come again.
