This is NO 4 Star Hotel! It is a 2.5 at best! I booked this hotel based on the information on Hotels.com and their website, and I'm not impressed. Smallest rooms I have ever been in, stains on my carpets, and bathrooms little bigger then the one on the plane I had just gotten off of. First room the safe did not work and the bathroom was ridiculously small, I complained and was moved. The female desk person was very aggressive about this and not very nice, telling me that the size of the rooms is on their site, its not. Second room was little better in size. You had to wedge yourself between the tub and toilet to close the door. Horrible sewer smell in the bathroom, when I complained they kept pretending that they didn't understand me. The housekeeping surpervisor came to see me and when I came back they must have poured something down the drains to get rid of the disgusting smell. No laundry service! There is a laundrymat 2.5 blocks away, nothing to do with hotel. Stains on the chairs in the lobby. No newspapers in the lobby.Says it has bar/restaurant, it is only open for breakfast 7-10 and for afternoon tea, it was not open any other time for my whole 2 week stay. No concierge! Hot water would go on and off while in the shower. The \"Double Bed\" was actually 2 single beds pushed together! In the night I would find my arm or leg stuck in the space between the 2! No first aid kit either. All around not a great stay and certainly NOT a 4 star anything let alone a 4 Star Hotel.

The room had a very musty smell which wasn’t resolved by opening the windows The following morning I noticed that the carpet below the window was damp, which may have been the source of the smell. Also there were several noisy air conditioning units just outside the window which meant I couldn’t leave them open over night.

I should haven’t accepted the room, a lesson learnt.

Clean room and comfortable bed, very quiet situation. Bathroom is tiny, open door touches end of the bed. Fridge and safe provided. Breakfast was good, although only scrambled eggs were offered with fried breakfast, bacon could have been better cooked. The hotel is very convenient for exploring London. We took Heathrow express train to Paddington and hotel is a 5min walk from station. Would stay again. Thanks

The room was way too small than I was expecting for a 4* hotel. No welcome water, nothing in the fridge, restaurant and bar always closed. I wasn’t able to get a drink or light snack during my ten days stay.
The breakfast was very poor, very few choices, always the same things each morning.

The location was really good though, just few minutes by walking to Paddington station, many bus stops around the hotel.
Another thing I liked was the cleaning service

When I made the reservation I specifically request a room in the newer tower and also that it not be in the basement. Upon check in where was our room? It was in the older building AND in the basement. Not sure why you’re able to put in a request and it is completely ignored. Our room was fine in the end. The bathroom setup was not great and left a lot to be desired. The glass enclosure separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom was about 12” wide. It did virtually nothing to keep water inside the shower and so water went everywhere. We had to use every available towel to wipe it up from the floor, etc. Otherwise, the stay was fine. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. We were checked in by a lovely guy, who tried his best to be accommodating. He was polite and pleasant.

Great find, only a few minutes walk from Paddington station which is good. Room was lovely but bathroom very small, as it was only for one night we managed but not sure if I could cope with another night but I expect they had other rooms with bigger ones. We asked for a quiet room which was great. Service was good.

Set in a historical building, all of the fixtures and finishes were top of the line. The hardware was high quality and the whole hotel just said well made. The bed was a pillow top and the linens and towels were all high quality.

The room was the size they said, but there was a carpeted area suitable for my morning stretches. Will stay again.

The hotel is lovely quiet clean and staff very helpful. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with the temperature of the rooms. Our first room was first of all, inaccessible for my travelling companion as to get to the room we had to climb a flight of stairs. The room was also freezing. We asked for assistance in making the room a comfortable temp (20 degrees?). Our first night was freezing and we barely got any sleep. In the morning we mentioned this to the front desk. After another investigation they found the thermostat

Close to Paddington underground and train station; also close to a collection point for a couple of the hop on-hop off tours. Lots of food options in the area. The room was comfortable. The bathroom had heated floors which were too warm for our liking (didn’t appear to be a way to adjust this). Room air conditioning worked well. The safe lock did not seem to work; we called the front desk who said the instructions were inside the safe (they were not), and could not offer instructions. We stayed in a basement room (LG5); I recommend using the “sleeping” button on the room panel so that staff/guests are quieter in the hallways overnight and in the early hours.

We opened the door to room and were confronted with a flight of stairs up to the main part of the accommodation. This was the last straw after a day of lugging cases up and down stairs at various stations and on ferry crossing. Trip hazard, another step, into bathroom. Both room and bathroom very small and cramped. Noisy and vibrating air conditioning units immediately outside window. Nothing like our previous experience of this hotel. Staff not able to change room.

I booked this nearly a year previously an on the booking you selected how many beds. On arrival there was only double an smal sofa bed. I requested 2 singles an double which that’s what I paid for! I was told lies that there is no single beds. More lies I went on to the site to check there’s the option for 2 singles a double sofa. I also requested pillows of course there was none the pillows in the room were paper thin an I was told they’d only one spare to give me. The manger never bothered checking with me or even giving us more the next day! I wouldn’t recommend this place at all unhelpful a beds were ridiculous uncomfortable. I will be seeking a part refund for this as it’s not what I booked an then to be told a pack of lies! Unacceptable that these hotels just throw u in whatever rooms they want

TV guide was in French and couldn’t change it back!

Very close to Paddington Station. Clean but small room. Check-in staff were a bit abrupt on the phone to other customers and thwy answered the phone whilst checking us in which then delayed us and felt a bit rude. Breakfast was tasty but there were no coffee cups and staff didnt notice. Once informed they rectified the problem quickly. I returned to our table with my coffee only to find staff had put a dirty tray there, right in feont of my daughter, who was eating, whilst they took the room numbera of guests arriving in the dinig room. Just little things that could easily be ironed out.

The bed was super small and so was the room, it was raining so the windows wouldn’t close properly so you could hear the water streaming down, the room temperature was extremely hot even which made me put the aircon on which woke me up as I was hot and cold. The shower was shocking as it was at an angle. I was disgusted and kept on banging my head as there was no room to move and the actual bathroom door would not fully open when I was at the sink. Not even a bottle of water was there. On top of that, the restaurant was apparently closed on a Sunday so when I arrived, I had to look elsewhere.

Super convenient to Paddington Station, Heathrow Express and underground. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants and other transport for getting around London. We had a very large, clean room in the new tower. Beautiful bathroom with double vanity. Our friends weren’t so fortunate. They were in main building basement and had a horror of a room…musty, damp with steps in various areas. Definitely ask to stay in new tower!

Downsides were lack of sound proofing and ‘double’ bed that was two singles pushed together but that were different heights so created an uncomfortable join down the middle.

The location was great, and generally the room was nice - quite spacious by London standards. However, cleanliness left a lot to be desired. On the day of check in, my sheets had a blood stain on it.

I reported this to the front desk and when I returned to my room in the evening, the sheet was still there. The night employee had to get a new sheet and try to make it himself (since housekeeping had gone home). He also told me to speak with the manager in the morning - I did, and showed pictures of the blood stain, and there was never any follow up from the manager.

We also noticed that when they clean your room, they don't change the sheets - they only make the bed and bring new towels. Several times new pillowcases were left on top of our suitcase. But then why not just change them?

Additionally, if this matters to you - the rooms don't really come with deadbolts that you can lock when you're inside.

Raj the trainee was completely rude when arriving extremely poor customer service skills. Staff seem like they’re there to not offer any help or welcoming to the hotel. No manners at all. No information about breakfast so we missed that. Room wasn’t big enough for one person let alone two. TB didn’t work. Only good thing was the cleanliness of the room Would not recommend at all to anybody.

Cute place, no guest laundry facilities.

It was a very nice place to stay. The rooms was comfortable and the staff were friendly. The only problem was that it did not have a guest laundry, which was one of the reasons I selected it. Hotels.com said it did, although after reviewing the hotel website it did not indicate.

Lovely hotel; clean and homely rooms with everything you need plus a fridge. Good bathroom size. The hotel was brilliantly refurbished and up to date. Nice breakfast selection. Only criticism was that we had to go outside to get into the other building and that we were on the lower ground floor so no natural light.

Would definitely stay here again for the location and value for money.

The hotel was lovely. The staff were good, the bar man was especially friendly. The room was the smallest room we’ve ever stayed in and was in the lower ground floor meaning that the window had no view or daylight coming in. It looked out directly into the room next door which meant we were unable to open the blind. There was also a frequent rumble noise in the bedroom. It sounded like it could be coming from the underground train…? Not sure what it was. We did get used to it though but at first it was quite unnerving

Room was a Boxroom terrible small nothing like pictures, although I asked for an accessible room was given a room that I had to take a lift walk a bit then down stairs not accessible at all , on wall was an Anchor A plug which is definitely not reinsurance for customers knowing that Anchor A is to reinsure wall doesn't cave in , Wifi was spotty, whower had head that being a small shower doesn't allow you to move to get body parts clean, no complimentary water but is a kettle they expect people to use toilet sink water to fill kettle? breakfast was vast buffet but no taste in food very bland , lift took ages to come when called, im very disappointed.

I was extremely disappointed with the policy at Norfolk Towers Paddington Hotel. In January, I booked the trip to visit London between May 3 to 6 with my daughter to celebrate her college graduation. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to postpone the travel dates to the end of June. I reached out to the hotel and Expedia between April 17 to 21 numerous times via emails and phone calls. I was willing to pay a small penalty such as the fee for a one-night stay for rebooking. However, at the end, I was told that based on Norfolk Towers hotel policy, they would not accommodate rebooking and the penalty was the cost of the 3-night stay that I had originally paid in full back in January when I made the reservation. I had lost a total of CAD$989 and I had to rebook my 3-night stay with another hotel for my new travel dates. I am not recommending anyone to book Norfolk Towers Paddington Hotel for visit to London, England. EK

Convenient to Heathrow, needs new mattresses

The room was quite small, which I find to be typical of 3 star hotels. My complaint is that mattresses seem old with poor support. Staff very helpful and found another room with somewhat better mattress. Otherwise stay was fine. Very good location for Heathrow flight as it is only a couple blocks from Elizabeth line tube station.

We also had an encounter at the front desk with a woman desk clerk, who is very rude and impatient with us. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay and the breakfast is incredibly good. I stay here when in London for short business trips. Very convenient location near Paddington and the tube. Rooms are small but clean. The bathroom is a bit of a squeeze. Fine for a short trip. The staff are friendly and helpful.
