If want to stay at a lovely clean hotel with friendly staff and amazing breakfast this is the place. I stayed there for 2 night and for the price wow. I will definitely be back. And a stone throw away from Hyde Park (10 min walk).

Spotlessly clean room in a great location at a super price! The front desk staff are courteous, friendly, and helpful! I’d forgotten my charger, the gentleman at the front desk kindly looked up a spot to get one and directed me there so clearly.
On top of that, it’s right by Hyde Park (where you can ride horses at Hyde Park Stables- a bonus for horse people like me!) and Paddington station, so there’s plenty to do on your doorstep and easy connection to the rest of the city. This is my new go-to home base in London!

I recently stayed at the Olympic House for 8 nights in mid-December. The location is excellent. A few minutes walk to Paddington Station. A few minutes walk to Hyde Park. Every space in the hotel is immaculate. It’s family owned and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and saying hi to her most mornings. Breakfast was efficient and adequate. I won’t hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel is in a great location about seven minutes' walk from Paddington Station, where you can catch several Underground lines, the Elizabeth line, the Heathrow Express, and national trains. Because of the Elizabeth line and Heathrow Express, it's super easy to get to the hotel from the airport and vice versa. The area around the hotel and train station has plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, coffee shops, and convenience stores. The hotel has a helpful staff and an elevator and is clean. Breakfast includes toast (with butter, jam, Nutella), cheese, ham, cold cereal and milk, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, pain chocolate, canned fruit cocktail, coffee, and juice. The cheese (cheddar?) is amazing. A staff member OK'd my request to stay in my room about 45 minutes past checkout time. The one caveat is that the shower was so small that every time I moved, I hit the thing that controls the temperature of the water, so I had to keep adjusting it.

A great value! Clean, comfortable, a bit noisy but overall excellent. We stayed in a family room located below ground level. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable for our two night stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating. A decent breakfast was served in the breakfast room, down the hall on the same level. The only thing is that the street noise from a group standing outside at 1am on one night and a car another night woke us up. But some noice is to be expected in London. Overall, a great stay and a great value. I'd stay again.

I wasn’t expecting 4 star. But very poor service . I asked for an iron and the lady was like ,”what now” and begrudgingly got me it . However I would not have complained other than what happen next . I was out with friends who were staying near by . I popped back to my room to collect something and went to continue the night with my friends . I said goodbye to the night staff and said I’ll be back later . I returned about 2am. The night porter was not at his station . I rang the door bell and rang the phone several times . After being stood outside for two hours , I was let in at 4am. No apologies at all . Also my room was next to the breakfast room so was very nosey and cold !!

Hotel is bare bones. Just nice to have some breakfast in the morning. Same same everyday.
Strong points:
-reasonable price,
-friendly/hardworking staff and
-location almost a block next to Paddington station.
Room was basic, clean and comfortable. Assigned a room further to the sides between floors so have to take stairs. Good thing about this is, I was further away from the elevator and don't hear it. Sound insulation is wanting as can hear neighbors talking.
Overall a good stay.

Next time I’m in town, I am not looking for another hotel. This was my sixth time in London and I can’t believe I didn’t know about this beautiful, serene street with a premium location; five minute walk from Paddington station, easy transport to Heathrow (no more airport hotels for me!)
The hotel may be old, but it is clean. Elevator, bathroom, TV, hair dryer, and all are modern.
It will not change my decision to go back to this place, but here are some heads ups from my experience so you are prepared:
1. There is not much room to move around; if you’re traveling with big suitcases, you will need to optimize space.
2. Bring your own soap bar; the one that comes with the room does not clean the hands at all.
3. This is probably typical for UK but the AC was turned off in September (very American point of view, but I needed it. Still, you can crack the window open 2 inches and it’ll cool the room)

Staff was amazing, overall a great stay!

This was a nice place to stay solo. The only complaint that I would have would be that the room does not need a door for the shower or the toilet rooms since the room was just for one person. The extra doors just make it inconvenient and make the already tight quarters feel even smaller.

Only good thing about the hotel is it's location just next to Paddington Station. Reason I booked this hotel was they have couple of reserved street parking which I could book (GBP 15 per night). I had a 10 day family trip Paris-London-Amsterdam-Brussels, had stayed in this hotel 3 nights, got a family room with 3 twin beds and a double bed through Expedia. We had 2 adults 2 big kids and a 5 years old and they charged another GBP 45 for 3 night without providing any extra amenities for the 5 years old kid. No other hotel did that in that trip or ever in my 25 years of travelling anywhere in the world. Free Breakfast till 9 AM is joke, just cereal and bread, but the ladies in the kitchen are awesome (does not speak English much though). You can use their Iron 10-6 only in their basement. Shower is so tiny that a fat guy wouldn't fit! They have AC but another GBP 10 per night to switch it on, they don't mention such things in Expedia. The day receptionist, a young brown boy is very pleasant but the night receptionist is terrible young guy with lot of attitude, not sure why but I would have fired such guy on first day from my business. And the manager, an old British lady, seems living in 18th century ruling the world! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone neither I would go back there.

Great location - only 5 minute walk from Paddington Station. Great for rail and underground access.
Triple room was small but clean and comfortable and the bathroom was spotless.
Breakfast was ok - coffee was not great, and no fresh fruit, only tinned peaches, but there was plenty of continental breakfast options.
All the staff were kind and helpful.
It was a hot summer night in our 4th floor room, so we called down for the AC to be switched on and this was an extra £10, but was worth every penny.
Beds were comfortable and shower worked well.
Thankfully there is an elevator in the building which we were very grateful.
Overall good value for money in an exceptional location and I would happily book here again.

Very close to some amazing restaurants...our favorite was a place named Mimo's and Wahaca 😋😋.
Walking distance to Carnaby, ... approx 40mins but the walk was good; we walked it numerous times.
The hotel has the bare essentials, but for a spot where we were just going to sleep it was perfect. We were safe; the place was clean, rooms were cleaned everyday. The staff don't go out of there way to chat, but we liked that.

To get air conditioning in the room is was 10£ extra a night...worked too good and room got pretty cold very fast.

We will more likely book here again!

The property is not the worst in London, sure. It is clean although there is a rat infestation outside. Rooms are fine, but you need to pay extra to use the air conditioning which then runs without temperature control. The breakfast is maybe ok but the room is noisy, windowless and closes at 9am on Sunday. The fire scape route is not kept free at all times.

The location of the hotel is great - it's a 4 minute walk to the Paddington station, and a 10 minute walk to an area with tons of restaurants, shops, etc.

The hotel room itself was clean and comfortable. The only reason for me giving 4 stars for the property condition & facilities is that they charge extra for A/C (it seems this is quite normal in the UK ; we just had the bad luck of being there during a heat wave, so it was harder).

As expected was a small room only fit for sleeping in. Which was fine for my needs. A very simple breakfast is included.

Two major issues though. They charged an extra £10 per night to turn on the air conditioning, which couldn’t then be controlled or modified. So, the fan and air temperature were centrally controlled. The way they tried to argue it was fair and not a hidden charge was extremely annoying. Having air conditioning was one of the criteria I book on.

Second, in the evenings the wifi strength was very poor.

I wouldn’t stay here again.

£10 to turn on the air conditioning and no soap...

£10 to turn on the air conditioning in my room...£10 to turn it on and then I can't change the temperature, turn it off or down from within my room.

Now, I understand from an eco perspective that limiting air con use might be a good idea, but it's so hot at the moment I'd have been more than happy with a fan but that wasn't even an option.

There was also no hand soap in the bathroom. I don't know about you but when I travel I carry shampoo and wash things but not antibacterial hand wash, so I dread to think how many people before me haven't been able to wash their hands properly in the bathroom. I've stayed in all types of hotels and budget hotels in my years and never have I not had hand soap or a fan. At least let us know before hand so we could come prepared, not travel across the country and then arrive once everything is shut and be unable to get anything.

If you are a larger person you won't get in and out of the bathrooms. Also don't expect a duvet as it's a sheet with another sheet on top, I don't know if they change that in the winter but I won't be back to find out.

Positives...decent location and the room was quiet as the hotel is set back and some trees muffle sounds from the road, so if that's important to you then don't rule this place out. I was just incredibly frustrated as the hidden costs after such a long journey and then wanting to wash my hands when I got in my room which I don't think is much to ask, maybe I'm wrong though hey

It is not a hotel where we were made to feel very welcome. The reception staff made no effort to make sure we had a nice stay. I'm afraid we were asked to pay £10 per day for air-condiitioning on a stifling hot day. This is not mentioned at all in the hotel advertising and is therefore deceptive. What is more, the aircon is centrally controlled and only has one setting, which is 20°C. At this temperature we froze in 45 mins. We asked for the aircon to be turned off, which they kindly did, but it was put back on overnight and when I asked the receptionist to please turn it off, I received a very rude response. Having to pay extra to cool a very hot room down is completely unreasonable. The 'cheaper' hotel I am now staying in in Earl's Court does not demand this outrageous payment.

To sum the Hotel up in one word would be exceptional, a very clean and smart hotel especially in the en-suite & wc which is importand to me. Room comfy and very clean but no drink making facilities though free tea & coffee is available near reception to take to your room.I stayed on a saturday eve to sunday with the cost through Hotels.com at £67 with a continental breakfast , good served by excellent staff, what a bargain. just around the corner from the hotel you are spoilt for choice for eating with shops around as well. Paddington Station can be seen from this road so near as well also with a sainsburys and i went out a wrong exit and found The Grand Union Canal right by the station with boat cafe's & a bright blue Paddington Bear. If you go 3 stops to Baker street station right near you will find the Sherlock Holmes museum & shop you don't have to pre book and along the road a bit is the Beatles memorabilia & gift shop, these are both worth a visit. You are also near Madam Tussaud's & Regents park. Their is a cute little park just behind the Hotel with yet another brightly painted Paddington bear , any young children in the family could do a bear search of the area!, lastly i was an older woman on my own and felt very safe in all the area plus when traveling to Wembley. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay again.

Other than hair on the pillow, the room seemed very clean,and it was comfortable. Nice desk and chair and wardrobe, good mattress. Lovely and bright with a big window, and I liked the view of the street with the big trees. The heating was lovely. There was a good variety of food at breakfast, which was included. The location is very good indeed, close to Hyde Park and Paddington Station. Very economical and 24-hour check in. Wifi was strong. This is a great place, and I hope to stay here again.
