We ordered a room with backyard view and ac. The room didn’t have neither of them - not a view nor working ac. Moreover, throughout the whole stay, beds were not made and towels were not replaced. When we mentioned it to the reception, in our second night, he said that they have nothing to do with that. Very disappointing.

I enjoyed my stay this June 2025 (10th-12th).
I had a front facing single room on the 3rd floor.
The room was clean and I appreciated the wood flooring.
I had no problems with noise from adjoining rooms, I heard only muffled sounds. Staff were very professional and polite, they up held my requests.
This is a basic hotel, as highlighted on the website, it was however, clean, room facilities good, it included a fridge. It is central to tourist sites, lovely to stroll to Hyde park.
I would stay again.

Great location closed to Paddington and Lancaster Gate station. Quiet neighborhood, with in walking distance to Hyde Park, pubs and restaurants. Staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. We will stay here again.

Receptionist was great, gave us lots of information about the area and was fun to speak with. The room itself was quite noisy - the walls were quite thin so lots of running water was heard, and when others would go into their rooms it sounded as if they were coming into ours. It was nice to have air conditioning. The washroom was small but good, and it was nice to have a communal washroom down the hall in case ours was occupied. The hotel is in an excellent area, minutes from Hyde Park and Paddington Station, with plenty of food options in the near vicinity. It also felt like a very safe neighborhood, and the street noises were not too bad at night. Overall, I would say this hotel is definitely worth the price for the area.

Close to station and what you’d expect to pay for at this price point. Tiny rooms with even tinier bathrooms- but if you don’t mind that then it’s a good affordable option in London with transport options to centre. Lime bikes available nearby and 20min ride to Big Ben.

Love this place, it's easy to navigate around, the rooms are small but I didn't spend that much time in them for there is so much exploring to do , walking distance to everything, tour buses down the street,also the main train station from Paddington just a five minute walk, took it from the hotel to the airport, underground was the way to get around.. will be back soon

The kind gentleman who checked us in expedited the procedure as my husband had a meeting to get to. We appreciated that. Our room was at the top of the stairs and he eagerly helped us with our luggage. The room was small but had all that we needed for a one night stay. We loved sleeping with the window open to let in the cool air. The bathroom was rather small and I think there is a moisture problem somewhere within the walls which is causing a damp odor but we weren't too bothered by it. We were happy that they would hold our luggage for us after check out so we could explore the area. Wonderful location!

My stay was spoiled a bit by the pompous and unfriendly email they send to customers before the visit; the need for ID, and the requirement for pre-authorisation of the credit card in the case of damage. None of this normally happens when I stay in London.

This location does not have an elevator/lift. If you have issues going up and down stairs then do not stay here. Great location. Close to Paddington station and Hyde Park. This hotel does not allow visitors or guests so if you are in town visiting family or friends then probably not a good hotel for you to stay at.

Might be good for a single or couple but essentially a bedroom with a bathroom built in. Pedestal sink right inside bathroom door needs to be sidestepped to get to shower or toilet and getting changed is a chore. Bending to spit in sink is barely possible with door closed.

Staff was very nice. Way overpriced for what they provide. Space and room was super tight. Could have gotten a brand hotel for the price. No elevator. We were unlucky enough to get the only room left, which was on the top floor and they cleaned. It was only four stories like more.

The Front Desk guy who checked us in was very nice.
I didn’t like having to walk more than a block on the nice but uneven street to get to our building schlepping our suitcases and certainly didn’t appreciate the basement bedroom which was way too small or probably poorly appointed (no, this is not my first time in Europe, not my first time in London either, so I know spaces are more compact than what we are used to in the US, but this was too small). I didn’t like not having daily housekeeping and when they came, they didn’t change the bed linens (my son had a bloody nose on our first night there and some of it felt on his bed - the linens were not changed throughout our stay). I left a post it on the bed and it was missed. Some of the bed covers had small holes in them and the bed frames had this frayed fabric - not a good look regardless how “budget” this hotel was. Incredible location just a quick walk from Paddington. Staff were so friendly and happy and the room was small but perfectly functional. Considering the location, we didn’t hear a peep all night of traffic or nightlife and our room was attached to reception. Lovely walk across Hyde park to The Ritz. Definitely return.

The hotel is on what I would see as the budget end though Wimbledon fortnight it was still over £150 per night. The location is convenient for Paddington Station and the restaurant and fast food places in the area.
The hotel has a tired appearance. The double bed was against the wall, so the person on the inside needs the stronger bladder. The mattress was very uncomfortable for me, there was no give. The room itself had space and a desk top with plug sockets. The en-suite door didn't shut properly and there was very little control of water temperature from the water tap for the shower, and the pressure was weak (long haired folk washing be warned).
The hotel does not offer a breakfast.
There are steps up to the hotel, with no alternatives for wheel chair access. I was not aware of a lift in the hotel either.

I lovely old building with high ceilings and openable windows. It was hot in London the week I was there and the staff brought me a fan since I prefer to have the window open and leave the air conditioning off.
I was on the 2nd floor street side with lovely views of trees. Traffic was over a fence so never too loud.
The only drawback for those who need an elevator, there is none.
Only one problem with the room was that the light fixture cord over the bathroom faucet was frayed and when I tried to pull it on, the cord broke. I notified staff so I hope they will fix it before the next client.
Otherwise a delightful stay!

I’ll start with the positive - the bed was surprisingly comfortable with comfortable linen. That is the only positive with this hotel. The floor was dirty and sticky. I couldn’t walk around in my socks or bare feet. The spoons for the coffee were also sticky and looked like they hadn’t been washed in awhile. I was on the 3rd floor and to get there it’s like climbing to the attic. The steps were so narrow my feet didn’t even fit on them. I had to place my hands on the steps to climb up. Getting my luggage up and down was a nightmare. And the walls are paper thin. To check out you have to physically return the keys to the front desk.

Good for one or two nights. Advise travelling light if you get one of the top floor rooms, the hotel description of “no lifts” means no lifts! There is no onsite gym but once you ascended to the 4th floor a few times, no gym membership will be required.
Very close to Tibe and Elizabeth line.

This hotel has a wonderful location but for 2 nights our AC did not work. They gave us a fan to use and let me just say that room was full of dirt everywhere. My kids got super bad allergies of all the dirt that was on the chandelier, floors etc. the room was very small not room for the luggage.

Such a great location near shopping, groceries, the train station and many restaurants. A great option for families.

We arrived late. Struggled carrying heavy luggage, feeling very unwell after travelling. The gentleman at the desk helped carry the heavy bags all the way to where we were staying! It was so appreciated! Prepare for lots of tiny stairs. Building is lovely, housekeeping staff was always so pleasant. Room was very small but clean and so grateful for the kettle being clean and excellent working order! FD gave us some spoons for soups and such.there’s coffee/tea in the rooms- stir sticks or spoons would be good. Beds were a 3.5/5, little sloped. Pillows were a -1/5 for me. I love fluffy-these we’re rock hard and flattened. Didn’t ask for replacements tho. AC was good and not loud. Super close to foods and convenience stores. And train station was a block away. Wifi randomly kicked you off and asked for the password a lot, but easy to re-enter. A good stay none the less :)

Location is perfect to Lancaster or Paddington station. Numerous restaurants nearby. The rooms were super clean but a bit small - ok because all one does is sleep. Bathroom super clean and very small though. No lift (elevators) so we had to go up several flights of stairs - got my steps in. Walls very thin so one must be respectable which they were. Front desk personnel so friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, good hotel. We will be going back.

The property is walking distance from Paddington station, close proximity to good restaurants and pubs. The hotel has 2 properties and one has to walk with baggage / suitcases to the 2nd property from the reception. Moreover, there is no elevator so we had to carry all our suitcases to the 2nd floor room. Prior to / during booking this should be clearly mentioned in the website. The reception offered to carry the baggage to the room initially but did not take any initiative when we got the keys. If you have heavy bags and elderly persons, avoid this place.

Decent enough place, and friendly checkin, etc. and certainly close to Paddington Station. The climb to the top floor is five flights straight up. Beware if you are not happy with stairs. There is no lift. Also, beware, Yes there is free wifi but it doesn’t work at all in the room. No signal up there. So if you need to be in touch through email through your stay, maybe consider a different place. I was only there stopping off for one night, but if I were to be staying longer I would probably have moved on.
