It’s fine. Good price for central London. You know what to expect at a reasonably budget hotel. So not lap of luxury but perfectly ok. Excellent location by Hyde Park. Staff very nice.

It’s in very central location which is good and convenient as the Paddington station is about 5 to 8 minutes away by walk and their staffs were very friendly and helpful. But the hotel rooms are very old as the walls has scratches and the toilets door handles looks like it’s coming so and the bedding sheets and the pillows cases are not very clean and we had told them about but they didn’t offer us a new bedding sheet so I think they just want to deal with it the next day and bedding sheets smells and the do clean the rooms like once or twice on your stay but do not think they change the sheets but they offered us regular new towels a lot

Place is in excellent location closer to Paddington station, attractions and shopps also staff are supper nice and friendly.

But the place as in the rooms are quite old so the walls has dirt or scratches and the door handles to the toilet looks old as hell and the bedding sheets were not clean and it even smells but they do offer you new towels and cleaning the room at least once or twice in your stay and room has zero presentation but it’s cheap so yh

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but very clean and the high ceilings made it feel very spacious! Great location. There is no thermostat in the room and it did get quite warm at night time but nothing unbearable Great stay overall!

The room was clean and tidy. Situated on 4th floor with no lift but it is a listed building so to be expected.

Room felt cold, draft coming from window that would not shut tight and radiator was not on or not working. I asked for a fan heater...nothing.

But the real reason I would not return is because of the unbearable noise of the water cylinder/heater everytime someone on my floor needed water. This includes anything from using the sink after a trip to the toilet during the night to someone having a shower at 5am! I have not slept at all.

The entire experience from start to finish - lovely people on the ball - know customer service without the phoney tinge. Really enjoyable - also facilitators impeccable - no phones or fancy shampoos etc but it’s reflected in price. But spotless

Despite the bedding being clean the overall standard of the room was shocking.

Divan bed was all ripped up. A damaged dresser. Bathroom door with a hole in it.

They were decorating the basement where my room was so I was dancing around piles of skirting boards with dust sheets on the floor and the workmen started drilling at 8am.

The building is very run down. The room was clean the the hallways were very run down. The shower had no power so washing my hair was really difficult. The hotel was noisy. You had to leave your room key every time you leave which I found very strange.

No elevator. No breakfast. Floormat in the was stainy. Bathroom has broken floortiles, which was covered by plastic mat. Some kind of waterpump next to my room, that was noisy all the time. Windows wasnt sealed, the Noice from the street was very annoying when you try to sleep. Needs to Renovate the whole building. Cleaning was good. The location was great.

We stayed here for our last night before returing to Australia and after our first few nights in the capitol was hesitient about this accomidation has it looked similar however was pleassently surprsissed whilst the building is dated and a pain to get bags up the stairs the rooms were clean and tidy with work ongoing to improve the building. Excellent location and the staff were amazing so helpfull throughout our stay.

Room in basement so not very attractive with shabby and tired room furnishings in need of some TLC! Bathroom poky - there was a dangerous step down from the shower and the bathroom was very cramped. However the room was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower warm if functional and the staff quite friendly, though I was surprised to be told on checking in that they didn't serve breakfast! Is this normal for London hotels now outside of the big chains? Would not stay here again though it was adequate for one night when I had to book something at the last minute because of the Tube strikes and otherwise not being able to get home from a Proms concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Bonne localisation à proximité de deux métros, bon accueil, informations sur les possibilités de restauration, les valises avaient pu être laissées gratuitement dès le matin ( j’avais envoyé un mail au préalable), surprise tout de même que toutes les valises soient laissées dans le hall et non dans une pièce fermée , n’importe quel client peut en emmener une autre que la sienne… pas d’ascenseur, à savoir avant, la salle de douche propre mais il ne faut pas être en surpoids pour passer entre le lavabo et la douche, c’est minuscule. Le matelas mériterait d’être changé, c’était une cuvette !
La chambre était petite mais suffisante.
Par contre, grande déception au départ lorsque je demande pour laisser les valises rh passer les chercher à 17h avant de reprendre le train. On m’annonce que ce sera payant entre 13 et 17h, il a fallu aller les rechercher ( elles étaient dans le hall avec toutes les autres sans que cela ne semble gêner ) et les trimballer tout l’après midi. Je ne comprends pas ces frais alors qu’il n’y a pas de surveillance particulière ni de prise en charge spécifique.

Check in was delayed by 1hr due to shortage of staff but was able to leave my bags at reception and come back later and check in to my room. Friendly reception staff! Very clean room, a little small but clean and well decorated, it had all the amenities that I needed, small but clean bathroom too. the bedroom had a fan luckily as it was really hot the weekend I visited. I would definitely stay there again, great price and good location too.
Lots of restaurants close by, 5-10min walk from Paddington station and on a good bus route as well.

We've stayed here before so had an idea of what to expect. Its basic, clean but so so hot even with window open and fan on. But for the time we we're in the hotel it didn't matter. Its so close to the underground (Lancaster gate), beautiful bakery round the corner and lovely pub nearby (the swan) which we went to.

The room was dirty, walls covered in marks, carpet felt grubby underfoot, and fan vent in bathroom fluffy with dust. I didn’t notice till later in the evening the cups were greasy, unclean. Same with the hair dryer, it was full of dust/dirt which I had to clean before using. They have a check/price list in rooms for costs if damage occurs. I made sure they checked the room before I left. The photos do not reflect the reality at this hotel. The only redeeming part: the lovely lady on reception and the location.

I would never recommend them.

My room was leaking and initially they did not even replace the room. Unbelievable at this point, they didn't even agree to a refund even though our time was lost due to this issue, Hotels.com also tried to pay up by giving me a voucher for about £53. All in all, the response was unbelievable. I will never use them again.

The hotel was clean and both if the receptionists we saw were friendly and welcoming.
The room was clean but very small. The bathroom was tiny but this could have been greatly improved by the addition of a small shelf above the towel rail and a hook behind the door. I was having to put my toiletries etc on the toilet seat.
The room was below reception, with a window opening onto a dark sort of alley or courtyard. I don't know if there was outside access to this area but it meant that we didn't feel safe to keep the window open whilst we slept or were out of the room. The window didn't have a catch so could be opened wide unsecured.
The small tv was adequate but the positioning of it meant that it was easy to catch your head on it when coming out of the bathroom.
A fan was peovided and was very much appreciated.
Otherwise, a pleasant stay in a good location

The location of the property was great. Close to Paddington Station and restaurants in the area. Hyde Park a short walk away. Room was on the small side and hot n stuffy. The bathroom window opened into the bathroom which was not ideal and the only form of ventilation to the room. On the upside the room was serviced daily. The staff were fabulous and very helpful. We would stay again as the positives outweighed the negative.

While it may not look especially appealing from the outside, once you’ve made your way up the many stairs (and there are quite a few), you’ll find a clean, comfortable, and convenient room waiting for you. It’s a handy stopover at a reasonable price—especially by London standards—and feels secure for those of us travelling solo.

Terrible. From the start no lift and to climb to 5 floor with narrow staircase and very risky with luggage.

Bed is narrow,mattress rubbish,window curtains couldn’t move for lack of rings.Shower not working properly.

For this didn’t stay the 17 June night though paid full. Before placing these type of properties in your site please check first since price isn’t cheap.

Great value room

Lancaster Court Hotel was a lovely building in a super convenient location. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly member of reception staff, and asked to pay a £100 deposit that would be returned when I checked out, granted the room was left in good condition.
The room itself was cosy, with a small ensuite and a lovely view. It was furnished with a bed, built-in-wardrobe, two sets of bedside drawers and a television. There was also a fan in the cupboard if I wanted it, and a hairdryer.
The only reason this was not a five-star stay for me was the lack of a deadbolt or secondary lock. As a female solo traveller, security is a big thing, and I did wake up a few times in the night with a bit of anxiety about not being able to lock my door.
My deposit was returned promptly, which was nice, and the morning staff were equally pleasant to speak to.
Overall this was a great value stay for the area and I would stay again, but I might bring my own portable lock!

Friendly staff, allowed me to use toilet and store my luggage for the day when I arrived at 8am. A shower would have been nice after a 17.5 hour flight but they did not have the facilities. Stair case is very narrow which was difficult to get my 32kg suitcase to the top level (5 floors). Other than that I had a positive experience.

Perfect location, fly in and no need for a car. Super close to Paddington Station, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Front desk was wonderful!
Bed was terrible. I really didn’t even mind lugging my luggage up 4 flights of stairs but new mattress required.

It's a bit of a climb up all of those stairs but the room was clean and pleasant and the staff were absolutely excellent. For London, it wasn't as noisy as expected. It's an old building and it does show a bit but I imagine all of the hotels in the area will be pretty much of the same vintage and thus have the same 'tiredness'.

It’s an older building, and you’re going to be climbing stairs and the rooms are smaller than your typical big chain hotel, but on the other hand you’re not going to get this sort of authentic old-world charm in a big chain hotel, either. There’s quick walking-distance access to Paddington Station, Lancaster Date Station, and Hyde Park. There are several adorable cafes and restaurants on Spring Street, right next door. If you can climb stairs, this is a fun little hotel!

Booked this hotel through hotels.com and paid in full. Went to check in and we was told our booking had been cancelled. They insisted they hadn’t taken payment even though it was showing out of our bank. A list was shown of another 8 bookings being cancelled. To add even more insult we have been asked for a review on our stay!
