Great property but be warned, no one after hours is there to greet you. After hours in my case was 7 pm. Though the next day, the maid was gone and no one there by 3 pm.
Ideally you have communicated before on WhatsApp and have both the door code and the room code recorded. If not, assuming you have cell, you can do it like I did and call from the door and do everything remotely. Too complicated for me to do in English but someone was available who could take the call
The place was clean and very affordable. The maid let me hang out on the main floor, after she left for the day. I had a late evening flight and I let myself out.

The front deck lady tried to be nice with me, buy i don't why she don't found the payment of my reserve, and she call the owner of the hotel. The owner asked to talked to me, and he was so rude saying to me that i don't paid my reserve, and i have to paid for my stay again. He continue in the same actitud and i said to him, before i start any trip i pay for my reservation by hotels.com app, and he told me, you have to contact Hotels.com and they have to contact me and said me that you paid already, otherwise you have to paid for the room again. I told to him, i don't have phone service here, because my phone is from Puerto Rico. So if you have any dude, you could contact Hotels.com to check. And after and hour of waiting the owner, called to the front deck lady and told her i'm good to stayed, and everything was already paid. The hotel was in a danger area, and the interior was so simple, and not good facilities... sad to said, but i really don't recomed it to nobody else.

El hotel en realidad funcionaría mejor como un Airbnb, es pequeño y las habitaciones pequeñas y sin ventilación ni luz natural. Está ubicado en medio de un ruidoso vecindario y si es fin de semana peor aún ya que hacen fiestas los vecinos hasta muy tarde por la noche. El staff es lo único bueno.

El lugar es excelente, las camas son como aparecen en la foto, la habitacion con suficiente espacio y muy comoda y no solo la ubicacion es buena porque hay comercio relativamente cerca(3-8 min caminando), lo mas importante, la excelente atencion de sus duenos y del personal, bellisimas personas todos. el lugar es muy limpio y cuenta con laundry, muy buen desayuno y la mejor disponibilidad para ayudarle y orientarle en especial a quien no conoce el area y sus costumbres.

Downstairs room, very noisy

They gave me a room downstairs in the main floor next to the kitchen and the stairs . Even at 1:00 am you could hear somebody prepping things in the kitchen . I told the person who walk me to the room ; that it was going to be too noisy, she said , noooo . Could not sleep at all with all the noises . At 5 am the owner was giving orders to the employees at the top of his lungs . When I went to eat breakfast in the morning, I comment to him about all the noise ; and he said that was the only room they had available. That room should not be available to costumers specially not to Hotels.com guest . It was a terrible night and worst morning . The kitchen in the morning is next door to the room and preparing breakfast for the guest ; constant noise . Very disappointed.
I felt ripped off . I needed a nice quite night to sleep and rest and did not get any of that . Thank you for attention to this matter

We did not stay here because we ordered a suite with two bedrooms but was given one bedroom with a kitchen living room area but there was no dishes to eat in or silver ware not even a tv in this room only a small pull out sofa, no table and chairs. Plus there was an area between the rooms that I really can't explain but the connecting room (to a different suite( was by a glass door that you could see through and hear what the guest was saying. We complained and they were told to arrange for us to stay some where else with the same accommodations. When we arrived at the hotel that was supposed to have our new reservation we had to wait about 30 min. for them to get it and then we were only given a room with a king bed, no suite, no cooking or microwave. It didn't even include breakfast. Also the area was not good

There were a couple of nights and mariachi players are serenating in the lobby, also the cleaning crew did not make the room.and the bedroom window was off, could not close window. The people who ran the place were so nice! The guy that worked over night really cared for our concerns. He was patient with us as we had a slight language barrier. He laughed and smiled and cooked us a very nice e breakfast. The rooms were very clean and nice. Very cute place not far from the airport. About 10 minitue drive. Thank you to the staff! I chose this property because it was close to where I wanted to be. It is very clean and the staff is friendly. This property is located in a residential neighborhood.
One of the things that I didn't enjoy were that the sound insulation is poor and I needed ear plugs to get good sleep. There is a lot of road noise at least in the front rooms. You can also hear people showering in the other rooms and people walking around and preparing breakfast.
One of the things that could improve would be to add electrical outlets over the nightstands to easily plug in your phone next to the bed.
They tend to clean the rooms late and I was in the room around 6pm one day when they wanted to clean. I asked them not to that day. It was not a problem for me but keep that in mind if you need your room cleaned every day.
I enjoyed the breakfast which is some form of eggs with bread, fruit and juice. I also had tea each morning.
I rented bicycles to ride in Ciclovia one day and it was convenient to have these available from the hotel but the bikes are in need of some maintenance and the staff didn't have the knowledge or tools to do so.
The staff was very friendly and one of them remembered my name each day which was nice.
I would stay here again.

So many words, so little space!!

there are so many things to say of a positive nature about this hotel!
The owners! Two sisters, and they are wonderful, sweet, amazing ladies! And beautiful!!
The place itself? Well, awesome!!
The only negative I could possibly say is that I wish they had bigger pillows. They have these little square pillows that you have to build them like Legos to get comfortable.
Otherwise, the bed is awesome!
Food? Great! Local Columbian breakfast every morning!
I can’t say enough about this place!
You must check it out for yourself!

Starting with the correspondence after booking the hotel, all the staff were very thorough. They requested my flight itinerary and asked if I needed a shuttle from the airport. My fight was 6 hours late, and the driver was there to greet me. Upon check in, the staff were very friendly and courteous, and remained so throughout my stay. The free breakfast every morning was nice and served almost restaurant style. Recommendations on places to tour and local restaurants were given, as well as the best transportation available. Folks... these are super people and I won't stay at another hotel in Bogota. Thanks Angora Suites, you're all very kind and professional!

Nice, basic hotel; convenient location.

This hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is conveniently located, walking distance to public transportation stops. My room was clean and spacious; had T.V., good Wifi connection. The bed was comfortable; bathroom had hot water.
The front desk staff was helpful with any of my requests and questions. I asked for an extra blanket for my bed (Bogota can be quite chilly) and they obliged with no problem or delay.
The breakfast (included with the price that I paid) was good: it is not a buffet with lots of choice, like some hotels offer, but it was very good and adequate, and the cook was was (didnt get her name) was friendly and accommodating.
Overall, this hotel was a great value for the price I paid.

Quite new and nice

Two sisters run this nice little hotel, and are both super friendly and helpful. The room is great. Bed is comfortable, shower is nice. Hot water was a little iffy, but never worse than warm. There is a feel that they did not quite finish the job, as the space and outlets for microwave and refrigerator are empty, and the light over the bathroom mirror never installed (empty box). The breakfast was just great!
The only real downside to the place is noise. The street in front is very busy, and the motorbikes rev up in front of the hotel as they clear the speed bump just before. There were some jet noises too, but the street is the main offender. So bring your earplugs and/or sleeping pills, and you will have a great stay!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, David even made us a delicious canelazos when we turned in for the night. Unfortunately, we had an early flight and were not able to enjoy the breakfast, but the room and the hotel itself were incredibly clean, quiet, had hot water, cable TV, and a comfortable bed. Would highly recommend to future travelers!

Agora Suites is an amazing little hotel. It is a boutique hotel, not what you're typically used to. It looks more like an apartment building sandwiched in between other apartments. The rooms are of adequate size and it is very clean.

But this place deserves more than 5 stars for its customer service. The entire staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and to ensure that you are satisfied. The entire staff did all they could to ensure my trip was as smooth as possible and it was very much appreciated.

The breakfast is also delicious every morning.

It was a WOW!

I was only able to stay at Agora Suites for one night because I was flying back home the next day. I wish I could have stayed for a week. This is a new boutique style family-owned hotel that is modern and in a quiet neighborhood in the center of Bogota, near to public transportation. We were given a suite that included a modern designer bedroom with two beds, a bathroom with a glassed in shower and clear glass sink basin. We also had an atrium and a separate living area with a kitchen. Everything was clean and modern. We arranged with the hotel to pick us up at the airport and we were picked up promptly at a small charge added to our bill. The next day I had to leave for the airport at five a.m. and I was driven to the airport personally by the hotel owner. This hotel has many European guests, but it should be a great choice for those who speak English as well. The staff speaks excellent English, and they were able to recommend nearby restaurants. I regretted leaving after one night, but I am sure to return to stay at Agora Suites. It was a wow!

My wife & I are from Canada but live in Colombia 6 months of the year. We enjoy touring Colombia by bicycle, staying in hotels while we travel around. We have probably stayed in 50 different Colombia hotels and hostels from 1 star to 4 star because budget is a major criteria for us. In our opinion Candalaria is unpleasant even if you could walk around at night safely. We don't even like Bogota but sometimes we have to go there. That being said, we found Agora Suites online, liked the majority of comments....small, family run, clean, excellent service and a high score. Being close to the airport was an asset for us. As is often the case, it's all about expectations. This hotel and the service we received far exceeded our expectations which is more than one can ask for. The hotel is new, opened in July 2016, so it's in great condition. We cannot overstate the friendliness and the excellent service we received from this family run business. We will definitely stay there again next time we have to go to Bogota. Tip....if you are travelling to Bogota to do all the tourist things you can easily and inexpensively travel around the city by taxi using Agora as your base. Taxis have meters but some will rip you off. Uber is alive and well in Bogota and the best/cheapest way to travel around. Travelling by bus in Bogota is even cheaper if you can navigate the bus system. The Agora staff can help you with all of this.

I chose Agora Suites based upon ratings and reviews. They did not lie! The owners welcomed us well, then went above and beyond helping us find restaurants, taxis, and museums. Our flight was late in the evening, so even though we checked out at 1pm, they allowed us to store our luggage, and after a downtown tour, they allowed us to sit in the common area and use our computer. We had been working and living in low income areas and so appreciated the incredibly comfortable, clean room with a king bed!!! The hot shower was especially appreciated!! It is a family affair, and we certainly felt like they cared for us like family.

En general estuvo bien la estadia, note un olor a insecticida en la habitacion y personalmente me causo molestia ya que soy alergico a muchas sustancias quimicas, tambien nuestra estadia coincidio con la falta de agua caliente.

Nicht den Erwartungen entsprechend

Lage:
Sichere Gegend, allerdings sind 1,5 km zum Zentrum nicht richtig -es ist nur mit dem Taxi erreichbar (20 min), auf Frage nach einer Karte wurde uns empfohlen einfach das Internet zu nutzen, das Wlan im Zimmer war aber so schlecht, dass es kaum nutzbar war
Sauberkeit:
Grundsätzlich war alles sauber, allerdings hatten die Handtücher braune Flecken, wir ließen es wechseln, bekamen aber wieder ein schmutziges Handtuch - geht gar nicht !
Frühstück:
War ok, allerdings sitzt man zwischen Leuten, die fernsehen und den ganzen Tag im Hotel zu verbringen scheinen (Freunde/Personal?) - fanden wir unangenehm.
Transfer:
Die Kommunikation mit dem Hotel war super und uns wurde ein Transfer zur Verfügung gestellt(kein offizielles Taxi), allerdings um 30.000 COP, was erheblich mehr ist als man für ein Uber zahlt!
Lautstärke:
Obwohl das Hotel bei schlechten Bewertungen diesbezüglich Verbesserung versprochen hat, konnten wir diese nicht wahrnehmen! Bis mindestens 22:00 Uhr war es unangenehmen laut!
Englisch:
Da wir nur sehr wenig spanisch sprechen haben wir versucht auf englisch zu kommunizieren, was leider nicht geklappt hat!
Für einen Städtetrip nach Bogota empfehlen wir das Hotel daher definitiv nicht!
