Rooms were beautiful. Spacious. Great price. Great staff. Helpful. Friendly. 24 hour reception. Good communication. Free juice and coffee. Great restaurants and shops nearby. Walking distance to the sea, the metro, the bus stop, Sultunahmet Square, Blue Mosque, a lot of places. Will definitely stay again next time I’m back in Istanbul

The staff gave me the wrong room an when i questioned it they said its still classed as a city view. It look out onto the next door building's windows. So i couldn't leave curtains open as it was not well lit i had to keep lights on even in daytime so the opposite people could see into room as their windows were only 5 metres away directly facing my windows. The hotel was clean. The stff were friendly. If you want the breakfast you have to walk to another hotel. Which is not ideal an they don't tell.you this beforehand.

The building is extremely small, ascending the stairs requires good flexibility. The only ventilation is opening the windows. No screens on the windows so anything can climb in from outside. The bathroom is cold if windows are opened for ventilation. Two houses down the street at the main hotel entrance is a real dump with trash pile 7 feet high and 40 feet long. The building is old, don't be fooled by the picture on the hotel logo in cheaptickets. Okay to sleep and shower, but don't expect any luxury or roominess.

Had a short stay, but loved every minute of it. Located right next to all the sights (short walk to Topkapi and other beautiful places). Many restaurants around, people are so friendly and kind. As a solo female traveler, felt safe and welcomed. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. Front desk organized shuttle from and to the airport and made pick up/drop off very smooth! Thank you for great service and your hospitality! Will be back for sure!!!!

The hotel is clean, staff are very friendly and rooms have tea stations along with towels, slippers and hand and body soap too. It is around 5 mins walk to the Blue Mosque and a couple more minutes to Hagia Sofia. Plenty of restaurants nearby and tram station too.

Nice extra perks such as free coffee and hot chocolate machine, as well as rosehip tea made daily, with a nice veranda to sit in. Absolutely Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Cost

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place was unbelievably bad. The room was filthy when we arrived – dust everywhere, stained sheets, and a disgusting smell of mold and dampness. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, with hair in the sink and mold in the shower.

The staff at the front desk were rude and unhelpful. Every time we asked for assistance, they either ignored us or gave vague excuses. The walls were paper thin – we could hear every word from the neighboring rooms.

Breakfast was a complete joke: cold, tasteless, and clearly not fresh. Nothing like the photos they advertise online. This place is a scam.

I would NEVER stay here again and strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. Spend your money on literally any other hotel – it can’t be worse than this one.

It was a very neat and clean place with a great location, accessible to the popular areas, bus and treme. It was only 4-5 minutes walk to the water and you can see the sunrise every morning. Comfortable and nice receptionist staff. Excellent location, close to popular sites, restaurants & shops. The local tram for transportation was about a 12 min walk away. The double room was small so if you have lots of luggage, try to get a larger room than just a double bed room. Quiet at night, no clubs nearby.

I booked “Ferman Konak Hotel Special Class VIP access” through Expedia, but when I arrived, the place was completely different from what was advertised. I reached the accommodation at 2 AM, and the next morning, I immediately contacted Expedia to inform them that the photos advertised their website were actually from a nearby hotel called Ferman Hotel. We visited that hotel and confirmed it matched the advertised images.

The place we stayed in felt more like a rented room in someone’s house. The road outside was littered with rubbish, and there was ongoing construction. Breakfast wasn’t even served at the same place. The entire experience was terrible, especially since I had travelled for medical reasons.

The building reeked of cigarette smoke, there was severe mold in the bathroom which triggered my asthma, the hot water was not enough, the shower drainage was constantly blocked which probably caused the mold as well, and upon check-in, the staff informed me that I had been “upgraded” to a three-person room—without asking if that was something I wanted. When I got to the room, I realised there were no mirrors, despite them being shown in the Expedia photos.

I feel completely scammed by this booking. I contacted Expedia immediately, and nearly three weeks later, I am still waiting for a response. Every time I call, I’m told they are waiting for the property to get back to them. I am at a loss for words.

This is a very good kept, quaint hotel. All rooms are equipt with toilet and shower facilities with shower gel, shampoo, hand wash and tea/coffee making facilities. There is also a communal kitchen and seating area on the ground floor with free hot drinks and mineral water. The location is perfect as it is a very short walk away from restaurants and shops as well as The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia(Sultan Ahmet Square) as well as Topkapi Palace/Museum.
The staff as very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to all.

My family and I had an excellent stay at Ferman Konak. The location is perfect as all the major attractions are within walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. They also helped book a Bosporus tour for us as well as arranged airport transfers. Free tea and coffee is available in the foyer, and breakfast is at their other branch which is only 1 minute walk away where you get views of the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Bosporus. Breakfast variety was excellent and only €5 per person which is great value for money. Overall we would definitely book this hotel again next time we visit Istanbul!

This was an absolutely amazing experience, not because of the hotel, but because the amazing staff. Latif and Emir are absolute stars, amazing hospitality, great knowledge and advice, but most importantly, they made us feel like VIPs. They were busy, but still took the time to converse with us, always offered drinks, shared their excellent knowledge of the city. It really felt like home.
The hotel was great too, the garden is a great area to sit and relax, have your meals, and enjoy the July heat.
Cant recommend this hotel enough, thanks to Latif and Emir. Wish you both a lot of success in life!

This hotel is in the old city and close to attractions. Our room was small but adequate for a short stay and extremely good value for the price. The breakfast was served around the corner on a rooftop with spectacular views, great food and cheap. It’s a very touristy section which for the first time visitor makes sense. The restaurants are expensive by local standards and there seems to be a lot of enthusiasm to get you into a carpet shop or the like. We loved our few days in Istanbul, couldn’t fault the service at the hotel.

An old styled Ottoman hotel is a short walk to major sights and lots of restaurants. Arrival is a bit bleak down alley by railway line, but inside the staff are welcoming and the rooms are fine. Small but modern bathroom. Courtyard for coffee is pleasant. No views but staff and positioning make it great value for money. It is an old and always remodeling city so this hotel is one you will remember . It is not a bland anywhere hotel.

This hotel is a hidden gem in Sultanahmet. It is a traditional Ottoman style building with big rooms. It is very clean, nicely decorated and staff are amazing. It is very close to historical sites in Sultanahmet and the seaside which is great for exploring the old city walls. I stayed in a famous hotel on the same street a few days ago, which was awful. This one is miles better than that. No breakfast in the hotel but they offer nearby place for a reasonable price. Saying that I enjoy having breakfast in different places near the historical sites. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested in exploring the main landmarks. And they provide free tea and coffee both in the room and the reception area. It has a garden where you can relax and read your book etc. I loved this place and yes, I would stay again.

We used Google Maps to just do walking tours on our own and this is the perfect spot. Room was large for family size and was discounted. They also booked our hotel to airport transfer.

Great base to explore Istanbul

We have been to Istanbul many times and know the Sultanahmet area well. The hotel is located ver close to Topkapi, Ayasofia and the Blue Mosque, making it ideal for tourists. Trams and shopping are within walking distance.

We picked the hotel for its location and value for money and were not disappointed. The reception staff could not have been more helpful and it was clean.

Breakfast was available for 240TL at the sister hotel round the corner. The all you can eat buffet was great value for money.

The only thing I would have liked is some comfortable seating in the cafe area to sit and read a book. The tables and chairs weren’t comfortable for a long period of time but I guess most people are out most of the time so maybe it’s not a big issue.

Would certainly stay here again.

the room feels really small and there's limited space to even put your suitcases down and open them- its a tight squeeze and I find it difficult to justify the price

We had a group family vacation of 17 people all coming from different countries. We had a total of 5 rooms booked to accommodate. All rooms were clean and spacious. There is a livingroom/salon area for us to sit back and chat in, a huge kitchen that was stacked with everything one would need, and a cute indoor/outdoor seating area. The hotel itself was charming and authentic. The staff were very helpful and accommoding. They even arranged a Bosphorus breakfast cruise for us with transportation.
Walkable to the Blue Mosque, Ayasofia, tons of restaurants, the tram, and a 10 min walk to McDonald's and Burger King , which was a blessing for my sometimes picky kids.
Our stay at Ferman was pleasant, enjoyable and stress-free. Would highly recommend staying here , especially if travelling with a large group, we had the place to ourselves!

The hotel does not offer free breakfast but it has a 24 hours coffee machine in the kitchen area the garden area is nice to eat meals or just relax. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but for the price no complaints. Overall we enjoyed our one night stay at Ferman Konak. Cute little hotel. Breakfast was served (for 5 euro) at their sister hotel, which was a 3 minute walk away.
Water pressure and hot water was fine. The room had a kettle for making tea. You will hear the call to prayer. The stairs up to the second floor were a bit steep, but the hotel manager checked me in and carried my suitcase upstairs. They have tea and coffee available in their kitchen area any time of day.

it is not easy to find this hotel, and the surrounding environment is not ideal. We were given the wrong room when check-in but reception then upgrade to the new room when we found the mistake.
