La ubicacion del hotel es perfecta, a muy pocas calles del obelisco y sitios turisticos, se puede llegar a pie! Con respecto al desayuno tienen muy pocas opciones y el fin de semana se llena mucho mas, el tiempo de abastecimiento fue muy lento. Destaco por mucho la atencion del personal. La infraestructura del hotel podria mejorar, la habitacion que nos tocó estaba un poco vieja y todo rechinaba, espero puedan mejorarlo

Tuve una mala experiencia , dejé mis maletas en la bodega del Loby y me robaron un anillo de oro valorado en mil dólares . Dentro de mi maleta yo tenía un bolsito pequeño y lo encontré abierto y de ahí me sacaron mi anillo , llamé al lugar y una mujer me trató mal regresé en persona para hablar con el gerente y me lo negaron y un señor que es pelón me negó a la persona encargada luego volví a regresar y encontré a la mujer y esta fue muy odiosa y tapando al señor pelón y al gerente . Nunca me dejaron hablar con el gerente quedando demostrado que el anillo se lo robaron ellos los empleados . No recomiendo este hotel para nada

Upon booking the reservation I was excited as I’m thinking the two rooms that were forced upon my family of 5 was connected. To my surprise it was NOT! We got two twin beds in both rooms. We only used one. We bundled together to enjoy our stay. Our trip was short so I didn’t want to pay expensive hotel for our 36hr layover.
Around the area is so much to explore but due to the rain we didn’t get a chance to do much.
Water pressure was great—-> very HOT water but that’s the way I like it!
Breakfast was mainly pastries and since I’m not really a breakfast of eggs and pancake person it was enough for me.
The rooms definitely needs updating however, it’s not a hostel environment.
Shower had rust looking pipes. The towels could be washed better.
It was all in all a different environment than I’ve ever experienced.
The staff were helpful and knowledgeable to let us know where we could have gotten food from and taxi cabs.
They also exchanged our USD at the hotel.

Fiquei apenas algumas horas durante a conexão do meu voo, mas o hotel foi ótimo. Cama boa, café da manha completo, recepção 24h solícita e fica perto do aeroporto Aeroparque, em torno de 30min de uber (considerando que não tem hotéis muito próximos ao aero, esse foi um excelente custo benefício).

Good hotel location, but our rooms were not great and old. In specifics room with number 01-03 no matter the floor, they are facing street with noisy bar, window is only 1 layer so we could hear clearly the conversations from the street below (btw. we stayed on 7th floor)
We can hear conversations in the hallway too, other room doors closing.

O Hotel tem um bom custo benefício, muito limpo, com serviço diário, toalhas trocadas todos os dias, roupa de cama aconchegantee ar condicionado. Boa ducha para banho. Ficamos em um apartamento gom 2 quartos, pata acomodar eu, minha esposa e dois filhos, com um banheiro para cada quarto e uma tv para cada quarto.
Os quartos necessitam de algumas reformas no piso e vitrô, mas nada que comprometa o conforto. Este item é mais visual que funcional.
Seria bom corrigir o problema nos vasos sanitários para esrancar a água após as descargas, para evitar desperdício de água.
Algumas portas dos quartos fazem um pouco de barulho pelos corredores. Fica como sugestão uma revisão no fechamento das mesmas e um melhor isolamento acústico para vedar os sons externos aos quartos
O café da manhã é muito bom com pães, frios, pães doces, tortos de goiabada, tortas de maçã, café, leite, chocolate, água, iogurte e frutas.
Todo o atendimento foi muito cordial, tanto no atendimento, como no café e o pessoal da limpeza.
A localização é muito boa, pois fica próximo a vários pontos de Buenos Aires que podem ser acessados até por caminhadas pela cidade.

The staff was helpful and nice. The property was basically a safe place to stay. The room with three twins was cramped and basic. It was clean but nothing fancy. The area was ok and not too far from some light shopping and cafes. We were there in May, their fall, so maybe there just wasn’t a lot going on in general but I would not recommend this hotel unless you’re on a shoestring budget and don’t mind basic accommodations

Nothing grand about it.

The hotel is located very conveniently, that's about all the positive feedback I could provide.
The rooms are dated, the pillows are horrible, there walls must be very thin because we could hear every single conversation in the neighbors room, the bathroom was very old and had a bunch of exposed cables. I've had better stays at a motel 6 for less money.

We have been to Argentina many times and this hotel was picked because of its location. Florida street was just the next street over, so we could easily walk there. Car parking in paid garages just up the street and to the left. Included breakfast was enjoyable with facturas ( sweets) , fruit, bread, ham, cheese, eggs, cereal and yogurt. Rooms were on the smaller size, but fit our needs. The only complaint I have is that the toilet was hard to flush. The handle has to be held down for some time and decently loud. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!!!

the room was very big and comfortable. I really enjoyed this hotel for one night in Buenos Aires, I wanted to stay longer. It is in a great location right downtown and a very friendly staff at the front desk.

Budget friendly hotel in microcentro

Stayed 3 nights at Gran Hotel Buenos Aires in a family vacation. The main “pluses” of this hotel are the location, and the price. Certainly, it was a good deal price-wise. The hotel is very centrally located in downtown “micro centro”, close to shopping on Florida street, many restaurants, and public transportation (which we didn’t use). However, it is an older, local, basic, budget hotel. Rooms were serviceable but quite small. Staff was friendly enough but not particularly helpful. Breakfast is good, also basic. There are really no other amenities. It did serve our purposes well, but I would likely choose another hotel next time.

Meh. Nice location, but hotel needs work. Front desk staff is 50/50 on if they're good or bad, most need training for courtesy and problem-solving skills. The cleaning ladies were really nice, room was meh, street view from balcony was cool from 9th floor, and dining area head deserves employee of the month. He was the best on the staff by far.

Nice location. Cheap but with no luxury at all.

They allowed us to enter at noon, that was great.
The room is not as the photo, is smaller, with no windows you can open. Horrible view.

Great location. Is 3 blocks away from main shopping streets, close to sub statios and train.
Low cost, convenient if you just wanna place to rest, and then head for adventure.

Breakfast included and fairly good.
Shower is not that good.

I will recommend it only if not looking for great looks.

Very comfortable smaller hotel

I very much like Gran Hotel Buenos Aires. It is in an excellent location very near Plaza San Martin and the Subte. Some very nice coffee shops and restaurants close by. The staff are very helpful and professional. The hotel is not luxury - but a very good standard hotel with smaller rooms. The hotel facilities are older with little recent up dating - however the rooms seem very clean and well maintained by the staff. It seems excellent value to me.

The pictures posted on Expedia do not reflect the reality of the hotel. It's old and the rooms are small. It is functional though. If you are staying for a couple of nights should be OK. As long as you are not very demanding.

Good 3 stars, convenient to shops.

Second visit in a month. Coming back again. Breakfast is good. Rooms clean, water always hot. Comfortable walk to Florida Street, great pizza shop nearby. Staff pleasant and we work around the language! Big park nearby. Many 'sights' just short taxi rides away. Walk to San Telmo markets if you enjoy walking. Very happy with it.

Wonderful value close to transportation

It's amazing what $50 USD will get you in Argentina. The location, amenities, staff, and breakfast was pretty awesome considering how inexpensive it was. I really liked this place and would definitely come back here if I returned to Buenos Aires. A taxi to the Tienda Leon Bus Station for the airport was only $28 pesos (~$3 USD) from this location so it was perfect for my last night in town.

Stayed for 3 nights, 2 nights away and returned for another 4 nights, all booked in advance. Arrived mid morning and were shown to our room on arrival. The room was adequate in size. The bathroom a little dated but was clean with plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was not what we would usually have but was abundant. The staff were friendly and generally helpful.
The location was good for us as we walk often and took the train 3 times. The station being a 15 minute walk away.

Amazing Rooms for the Price

This is a great little hotel near to the Port in the event you are just embarking or departing by ship. We thought we were getting a bottom of the line hotel since we paid only $50 on line but what we received was truly amazing. Maybe we were just lucky but we received a very clean 2 bedroom two bath suite in a good location. We walked to many landmarks from the hotel and they were very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. We will stay there when we return.

Good location for getting around - overall fine.

Not amazing, but nothing wrong with it either. In fact, the scariest part were the elevators!

The room was clean and a queen bed as we'd booked. Our room was close to the elevator so we heard some elevator noise in the night, but nothing we couldn't handle. I appreciated that the breakfast was open for 3 hours and we found the spread to be good - hot eggs and bacon (or just heated up lunch meat?), cold cheese and luncheon meat, two types of cereals, several varieties of breads and toasts, lots of options for jams/honey for your bread, canned fruits (peaches, pears, tropical mix and one other) as well as fresh fruits.

The bed wasn't luxurious, but it absolutely wasn't the worst either. The air conditioner worked well. The shower provided very hot water and I needed it nowhere as hot as it would go. The room contained a min-fridge stocked with a nice variety of drinks and alcohol that we did not use, but appreciated that the fridge was already cool four our bottled water we brought with us.

I did find the internet spotty at times, but in off-peak times of use it was fine. There is a code they provide you without having to ask for it, and there is a separate wireless router per floor of the hotel. Actually two per floor, so you shouldn't have to be fighting against too many other people for internet.

location in town is good in an attractive neighborhood with good restaurants and park. Room was very bright and pleasant with good cleaning and houskeeping services, comfortable bed and cozy. Good room to relax in. Noise is a bit of a problem during the weekend when the town/youth is partying. But that is to be accepted and cannot be controlled by the hotel.
Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast a bit too repetitive in particular during longer stay, a bit more variety would be helpful for a good start into the day.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great - they even had scrambled eggs. My room had a balcony and the windows open. The bed was comfortable and lots of hot water for the shower. make sure you don't have an ajoining room - my previous stay was in a room that did and i could hear what the neighbors were saying. Location is great avenue Florida and santa fe only a few blocks away. Great restaurant nearby - Filo - good pizza and they serve a limited menu between 4-8.

The Quaint Gran Hotel Buenos Aires

The hotel is small but quaint, but i didn't need more as i spent my time elsewhere. This also provided a bit more comradery as they new my name. The rooms are small but very clean. The buffet breakfast is really quite good as it is included (I have been given a bun and a coffee and that is what some hotels call breakfast). The staff is really wonderful, and were always helpful in assisting me to find certain places. English is spoken at the front desk but it was nice that they were patient with me when i tried to speak Spanish.LOL The location is supberb as it is right in the middle of things but not too far into the really touristy streets, it was nice that it was very close to San Martin Plaza, a beautiful greenspace. Overall, i had a really great time and coming \"home\" to the hotel at the end of a long day walking about felt really great!

we visit 2 countrys argentina and uruguay, i was able to compere the diferences in services,we espend 3 nights at the begining of our holiday and then we came back for another 2 nights,excellent valued for money,happy to help you with all of your request,good attitude,good breakfast,my son suffers from asthma, i need it a clean place, it was fantastic, good location, i recommend the gran buenos aires hotel, francis

Great old hotel downtown Bs. As.

This is a very good hotel downtown Buenos Aires. Location is great and the rooms are quite small but comfortable. Staff friendly and willing to help. Breakfast is good and price is fair.

Gran Hotel Buenos Aires is in a great location.

Six years ago friends booked a room for me at the Gran Hotel Buenos Aires. It was such a convenient locations and the staff so helpful, I decided to stay there again this trip. I was there on and off during my Argentina vacation. They held extra bags while I was away, They were smiling and friendly and helplful. The breakfast was fresh, good and plentiful. The menu food was also very tasty.
The rooms I had weren't very big and a couple could have used updating, and the hallway walls and carpet needed to be cleaned or updated, too. However, everything was very clean and the housekeeping crew was also helpful and friendly.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

excellent location at good price

We went to Buenos Aires because i had a meeting. My wife and our daughter stayed here during the week while I was out of the town. Afterwards we spend a few days together. The location is safe and central right next to the main shopping street (Ave Florida).
The hotel staff is very friendly and caring, no standard \"hotel - chain\" phrases but real service. Although the interior of the rooms is a bit out dated the price and location make up - with the service on top of it.
Would definitively go back!

Great!

The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I forgot my iphone when I checked out but the housekeeping kept it for me. That was great! They had free wi-fi which some of the five star hotel near it provided with a fee. The hotel may not be new but it was in a very good location, near to many attractions and the condition of the hotel and the rooms were good for the price. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay.
