The hotel is clean, has friendly staff, and offers a decent breakfast. It’s conveniently located near the American Dream Mall, and it even has a washer and dryer. However, the staff is often understaffed and not very responsive to requests made through the app. For example, when I asked to clean my room, it never came until the next day. Towels weren’t delivered but we later found out it’s because there was no on site staff to bring them upstairs. The pool is a bit small, but it’s still good enough for kids. The bar is closed most of the time.

Our bathroom was neglected. We found feces in the toilet and the 2 toilet paper rolls were literally less than 1/2 complete. Putting them together wouldn’t have equaled an entire roll. We had to call the main desk to ask for more paper.
Upon checking out, I told the 2 gentleman employees behind the check out desk about our bathroom issue. They said sorry but truthfully, didn’t really seem to care much.
Overall, I was disappointed by our experience this time around. Won’t be returning.

The room itself is very nice, however the bathroom door is a sliding barn door leaving large gaps on either end. This is exacerbated by the mirror on the wall giving a direct view through the gaps. Not very well designed for privacy while using the washroom.

I had two very different experiences at this hotel, so I’m giving it a 3/5. The first part of my stay (from booking to check-in) was genuinely great. I requested a baby crib through a third-party site, and the hotel replied the next day. They couldn’t guarantee it since I was still a week away, but told me to follow up on arrival. I did, and the crib was already set up in the room when we got there. At check-in, there were no luggage carts available due to the crowd, but a staff member went out of his way to look for some and came back with two within minutes. That effort really stood out. The warm indoor pool in December was also a pleasant surprise, since most hotels close theirs for winter. So that entire first phase felt like a solid 5/5.
The second part of the stay dropped the score. Breakfast was disappointing; I’ve had better at lower-rated hotels. Parking was advertised as free self-parking, yet we were charged $10/day even though there were plenty of open spaces. That felt misleading. The biggest issue was the shower: no hot water the entire time, only warm. It was Christmas time, freezing outside, and coming back to a lukewarm shower after walking around NYC with kids was not acceptable.
So overall, great staff effort and first impression, but breakfast quality, parking charges, and lack of hot water need to be fixed before I’d return.

Very disappointed in our stay this time. We have stayed here before about 4 years ago. You now have to pay to park. Our room was dirty, specifically the bathroom. It had blue shaving cream or toothpaste on the floor plus the floor was just dirty. I went down to the front desk & asked if they could please send someone up to change the sheets (had hair on them) & clean the bathroom. We were leaving to go to the city so they had plenty of time to do it. There is no safe either so we took everything out of the room so they could come back & clean and have no obstacles. When we returned after midnight, our beds were remade but the bathroom floor was still dirty. Literally had the blob of blue stuff on the floor. When you are paying $400+ a night this is unacceptable. It’s unacceptable regardless but this place wasn’t cheap IMO. One more thing when I have to pay $50 extra for 4 people in my room, my room should be equipped for 4 people. I shouldn’t have to go find more towels & wash clothes. Do better SpringHill Suited by Marriott, East Rutherford.

I’ve stayed here twice prior since it’s easier to take my daughter to the water park at Dream Mall in the morning. This will be my last stay at this hotel since they’ve made changes I dislike: 1. The free breakfast is basically cereal, eggs and sausages - no pancakes, waffles or anything else which I felt is more limited than last time. 2. $10 fee EACH night of parking - that was a fun bonus, 3. They took about 20 mins to check in since they had only 1 person working the front desk.
Workers are nice and place is clean but too many hotels in the area to accept above. I’ll be picking one of them when we come back in April.

I had a pleasant experience during my stay. The staff was exceptionally courteous and accommodating. My room was well-maintained and spacious. The beds were comfortable, and the overall ambiance was welcoming.

Staff was friendly. Stayed here to watch the Giants/Packers game which is across the street from the hotel. We were encouraged not to walk to the game, but we were careful and it took us about 30 minutes because of high security gates surrounding the stadium. Other guests paid $70 for an Uber to take them across the street.

My husband and I stayed here one night before the Giants/Packers game and it worked out perfectly! I was disappointed because they did not offer a shuttle to the game, but we paid $60 to park and shuttle from Redd's bar down the road and they made it so easy for us to get in and out quickly. We were on the road home in less than 30 minutes after the game!!

It is open 24 hours, so I would recommend going very early AM or in the evening. Breakfast was also VERY busy at 9am. It was a small area and chatoic but they had everything you could want....cereal, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bagels, mini muffins(my favorite) and fruit. All delicious. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Breakfast staff worked hard with several schools staying there. Limited options, however, compared to most hotels in terms of breakfast choices. Room was clean but issues with thermostat. First night we tried lowering to a comfortable sleep temperature but it kept reverting back to a higher setting so we got little sleep. The second night they adjusted something so it was better. The rating would have been higher if it just kept what we set the first time. Hotel is near the mall and stadium but not for walking. So we had to deal with plenty of traffic to go anywhere. Overall the hotel was clean with friendly staff that tried to help thier guests. I would suggest a slightly better breakfast selection and adjusting thermostat settings since the location cant change.
