Horrible stay, some staff are friendly and some as rude and cold as you can find..then the room door doesn’t closed or lock by itself..you have to really slam the main door to have it shut and locked…staying at many many places before..safety is the number 1 priority..so we always make sure the door is shut tight before we leave the hotel..that’s exactly what my husband did and made sure our room door was shut ..well…when we arrived at 11pm that day…I pushed the door to check..and at my surprise…the door just opened..was not shut like we made sure the morning before we left…this is a big safety issues …we thought maybe they came to clean,,.nope..my bed was as messy as I letf it the morning….and we never leave any valuable items in hotel rooms…I don’t think things were taken but could you imagine if someone implanted something in your room or in your stuff? That was my big problem…my husband checked the room before he went downstairs and ask them if anyone came by the room? They said nobody came..so he told them what happened and they just said they don’t know. And it said breakfast include..wast of time as coffee is nearly never available..you have some packed muffins and pretty much all…the price for the stay was good…but not sure if it was worth the safety issues and the bad staffing

Our stay here was terrible. The rooms are outdated. Walls were dirty. We left to Manhattan for the day, came back and there was ants everywhere. Not to mention when we checked in it was after midnight and the nightclaire did not know what he was doing and clicked on a random person's room. Change the name to mine so the next day we were bothered saying we were in someone else's room also that we were not supposed to be there. We were never checked in the first place so we left and went to a better hotel

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY COST. Location wise its good ( walmart nearby and dining options nearby ) but the place itself is very very bad and poortly maintianed. Not clean it at all. Completely outdated and not clean at all . The beds were not comfortable ..limited breakfast that was mentioned was not available at all..coffee machine never worked..absolutely terrible place to stay

Staff was very helpful and efficient. Check in was easy. Room are outdated. Needs an upgrade. Seems as though they do long term rentals here so there's a lot of people just hanging around all hours of the day & night. Dog barking most of the night. Full kitchen with no utensils. No cups, forks, knives or spoons unless you ask the front desk for them. No ice in the facility whatsoever. Will not be returning

La habitación estaba limpia y recogida cuando llegamos pero, realmente no hay servicio de limpieza gratuito. Nosotros mantuvimos la habitación aceptable durante la estancia. El personal es cordial pero, realmente es un servicio autónomo, solo está la recepción, están para cualquier duda pero, vives independiente mientras estás hospedado, nadie te molesta. Los utensilios de cocina deben solicitarse a recepción, son pocos, lo que más usamos fue la tostadora, la nevera y el microondas, no cocinamos allí, hay suficiente parqueos.

The hotel is a little tired, attention to detail on the carpets in the hall area would make it look a little less grubby.
Its location was exactly where we needed, which is why we chose it. However, we had to change rooms, a lamp fell off the wall. People asleep all day on the sofas in reception. We decided to check out a day earlier, we was promised a refund of one night. But we are still waiting, all contact has been ignored.

La chambre était grande, la salle de bain légèrement salle par contre.
Le douche était difficile à utiliser car le robinet était lousse et la tablette des serviettes nous a cassé dans les mains.
Bruyant la nuit a cause de l'autoroute à côté.
Mais pratique pour aller visiter new-York en transport en commun. Pleins de beaux restaurant accessible à pied.
Déjeuner du restaurant très mauvais par contre, muffin et barre tendre seulement.

This hotel is a perfect option for a non pretentious business traveler. The room is clean, spacious, and functional. The kitchenette has a full sized fridge and an electric cooktop, with dishes and pans provided. High speed WiFi is available for a small fee, and the gym and the pool are available, too. The downsides would be: the breakfast is very basic, and the housekeeping happens once in 10 days. This is NOT a fancy hotel. But the bus to Port Authority stops 30 ft from the door.

They say breakfast is included, only Nutrigrain bar, muffin and oatmeal. This is not breakfast. Had a lot of ants in the room and reception didn't look surprised when we told them. Scary noise in the elevator when going up and next days it was out of order. No ice machine

Staff was excellent. However, the quality of the room was not good. The sheets of the room smelled old. The shower took forever to get working, it’s not consistent and you have to continue to play with it to keep the temperature. The condition of the room was not well. Cabins were old. Maybe this is just the condition of the building.

This property is basically a run down place needing some tender loving care.
The room has a fold out couch for a third bed with a filthy uncomfortable mattress.
Throughout the course of our stay we killed a few roaches and more got away.
We stayed 10 nights and the room was never cleaned or serviced even though they say that stays over 7 day will be serviced.
There was no cutlery, plates or cups when we arrived. You have to go to reception to pick them up. No toiletries, just one bar of soap.
One of the days our keys were locked out, luckily we came home earlier that night.
The breakfast is a coffee when it’s available and a cheap breakfast bar or a small packaged muffin. No fruit, cereal or even hot water for a cup of tea.
The good parts to the property are that it felt safe with nice places to eat within walking distance.
A bus stop just outside the front door takes you into the Port Authority Bus Terminal in around 20 minutes depending on traffic.
Cost for a one way ticket to New York is 4.95 per person.You can buy tickets directly from the driver.
In conclusion only consider this accommodation if you are on a strict budget and you get a great deal. The money we saved here as a family of four, we spent on bus fares to and from New York so it wasn’t really worth it.

We went with intention of going into NY for the day and the bus stoped right across the street from the entrance and took us to port authority which was a 10 min walk to Times Square . Great location !

It wasn’t good. The room looked like it wasn’t taken care of at all, handles missing on the cabinets, tilted and broken drawers and cabinets. Computer rolling chairs in the kitchenette, the pull out sofa and the bed were positioned in a way that not one of us would be able to see the tv at the same time. My son slept in the bed and I slept on the pull out. The mattress inside the couch was so thin that I had a horizontal metal bar digging into my back all night. I booked at a different hotel initially and I really should have kept it and gone there. Mid tier hotels are usually affordable and you get a good room for the price, this just seemed disrespectful honestly.

The room was fine, although the lack of access to ice at a hotel was a little bit weird. The real problem was they kept insisting that I had multiple reservations, and even though I went round and round with expedia, and the hotel, and I could find no such second reservation, they were insisting that I was going to be charged even though I told them repeatedly I didn't know where they were talking about. Not sure why they dug their heels in. It put a damper on the whole thing.

- Check-in = Extremely easy check in and totally professional greetings by the reception desk. Desk Clerk Jason was very courteous & Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Onsite Parking: Plentiful & additional multi-level parking 1 minute away

Room - Considering the age of the site (One of the oldest in the Secaucus) the room was exceptionally clean with full sized refrigerator/freezer. 2-burner electric stove and dishwasher & a microwave*1.See concerns on Kitchenette assets.

LOCAL AREA Under a minute walk to bus stop to and from NYC with frequent buses daily
Less than a 5 minute was to movie theater, bars, shopping and multi-cultural dining.

View: Great view of the NYC skyline and one should research the history of Secaucus to know how instrumental the town is to early American history.

BAD, more so a concern and an inconvenience

4 ½ days no housekeeping service accomplished or even see in the facility.

AMENITIES
Unlike the cross town Stay America, the amenities were very basic; 2 bars of soap and a mini bottle of shampoo, towels, facecloths 2 plastic cups and a roll of TP
*1 Advertised as a kitchenette to our surprise; there were no in room pot/pans/cups/dishes/utensils/coffee maker/tasters/dish rack or dish soap! The only inconvenience was going to the front desk to obtain the above then wait for the clerk to assemble the desired item into a broken/shattered properly not sanitized plastic tub.

The staff are friendly and polite, which is appreciated. However, the overall experience was disappointing. Breakfast is extremely limited — only muffins are provided, with no milk for the oats and not even basic items like bread.
Room service is below standard, as the rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis. The location is also not very convenient or appealing.

Unclean room at move-in with no housekeeping for a whole week. Faulty lighting (had no lighting in the bathroom for the whole weekend since they have no maintenance during weekends and a faulty AC that won’t work and a fridge that rattled all night)
Staff is non responsive and irresponsible and will not help. Smelly rooms with old, breaking furniture and appliances.
They pass the smallest sofa as a make-shift bed, that can barely fit a 5 yr old.

Properly not maintained at all, carpets, rooms, appliances, bathrooms all in disrepair. The TV was non-functional and the front desk asked customer to call and have it fixed...I was asked essentially to repair things for the property. Bath towels were overused, and no longer comfortable to use. Worse of all was the horrid odor in the rooms, that didnt vent even with open windows and running fan.

Saving grace for the hotel, its staff was good, accommodating and understanding, and the proximity to NYC NJ Transit was optimal, and low cost to transit to NY.

If you have a choice, recommended paying a bit more and staying at the 15 different hotels nearby. This hotel is cheap, and the accommodations in room are reflective of the price paid.

Please stay away from this terrible horrible place

When I checked IN, the front staff said, my reservation was cancelled since I did not show up at 3 pm. After 45 minutes her browsing the system gave a room with 2 queen bed and said I have to come by 7 am to speak to the manager since I am a walk in. At around 4 am in the morning continuous calls to my room to vacate immediately since the room that she provided was already reserved by someone. A crap systm they have that doe not evn show up the vaccant and booked rooms. This time one more horrible indecent staff joined together in the front office and was yelling. This time they found out my original room and allotted the old, reserved king room. But I ended up paying twice for the same room. One thru Hotels, Com and the other at the front desk. The rooms were uncleaned; towels and bedsheets are dirty to the core with stains. Please don't ever go to this Extended Stat please.

We were in town for my mother n laws funeral. It was kind of last minute and it was the weekend before Labor Day, so everything was over priced. We picked up and found this property and went with it.

The location was great, everything is near, you don’t have to go far for anything. Whether it be food, Walmart etc.

When we checked in the gentlemen was really really nice and attentive. He made small talk, and was able to get us checked in early, which was GREAT! So, this review has nothing to do with him, because he had great customer service!

To start, the hotel is DATED! There needs to be a renovation ASAP! But the thing that I really wanted to say about this stay which wasn’t horrible, but I feel that the hotel staff could have been more accommodating. We had ants! Thank GOD it wasn’t roaches or bed bugs, but geesh! My son that was on the pull out noticed them crawling on the pull out. Then my other son that was sleeping in the bed beside my husband and I saw them too. They were on his bed.

Called to front desk and was told there was NOTHING they could do about it, and that they could not change the room. Which, I wasn’t asking for that. Basically all I wanted was a, “I’m so sorry, let’s see what we can do.” Or maybe, “whatever the cost for bug spray that you spend, we can reimburse!” I got neither response. I was left to deal with the any problem myself. Went to Walmart got ant spray. Just an inconvenience. I’d never stay there again!

Our room was very outdated. Shower ceiling cracked, base of tub caulking was nasty. Window shades with many cracks, holes in them. Room carpet very worn. One elevator was out of order. They did accommodate an early check in but we tried being out of the room as much as possible.

In this hotel chain you don't eat, there's only a breakfast of bars, plum cake and coffee... but what I find uncomfortable is the fact that the rooms aren't cleaned every day and you have to take care of it yourself, furthermore the furniture isn't well maintained, for example in the room where they are staying the kitchen cabinets are about to fall, and also a danger for those staying in these rooms, I had chosen this one in this location because I thought it was better than the others, but it's the same story here too.

The only positive aspect of the hotel was its convenient location for driving to NYC. Unfortunately, the room was not as clean as we had expected. The worst part was the sofa bed; the mattress was in poor condition and had strange stains, which made it so off-putting that none of my kids wanted to sleep on it.

The courtyard area was dirty, and it seemed that the hotel does not clean the outdoor furniture regularly. Additionally, the breakfast options were very limited and consisted mostly of snack food.

My family and I will never stary there again.
