Everything was awesome, and I would love staying there, but the internet and phone network are so bad that my whole business depends on the phones and computer. I was really having a hard time. Everything else was perfect - I could make my own meals, and the room was perfect with a kitchen and sitting area, which I needed for my work as a fashion designer.

When my wife and I arrived, there was a bit of a delay because one of the floors was off limits, so technically our room wasn’t available. However, the reception staff quickly accommodated us by arranging a stay at their sister hotel, Envue, Autograph Collection, which was conveniently located just around the corner.
To make up for the inconvenience, they upgraded our room to one with a beautiful view and provided us with a $25 credit for the bar. The room was absolutely stunning, and my wife especially loved the view. What made the experience even more special was that we were celebrating her birthday and Valentine’s Day.
Overall, we truly appreciated the excellent customer service and thoughtful gestures that turned a small inconvenience into a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Great location with amazing views of Manhattan. The rooms are big, clean, and nicely decorated, and the free breakfast is a nice bonus. It’s a great place to stay for one or more nights.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and getting to Manhattan is super easy—about a 15-minute bus ride to Port Authority for $4 or an 8-minute ferry ride for $9.

2 elevators, but only one was working.
Breakfast was all processed foods, 1 toaster for everyone, so there was a huge line for toasting bagels and muffins. Lady in charge was very rude and grumpy.

Breakfast was a bit limited for a vegetarian, but was still great to have it included and save money buying breakfast elsewhere! Hotel was great for me and 2 kids - they had bed and I was on sofa bed. Was concerned about this as first as other reviews say it was really uncomfortable - it wasnt the best but I managed to sleep no problem!

Hotel was lovely, very clean and easy to get on the ferry. Buses then to take you where you need to go, otherwise it's a bit of a walk, but doable (but after 2 days my legs were screaming so got on bus more). Would 100% go back to residence inn - even with a 7 day ferry pass it worked out so much cheaper than staying in Manhattan and is a lovely place! Nice supermarket down the road too :)

Just flew in from our vacation in New Jersey/ New York I couldn’t wait to write this review. From the moment we entered the establishment we were greeted by Tamera who was very professional and knowledgeable about how to get around, she even help us organize our itinerary based on location of attractions we wanted to see. The location of this hotel is amazing with the ferry across the street, The Highwood restaurant located around the corner (amazing service and food by the way), easy access to the bus station, and walking distance to other restaurants. Our room was clean and spacious enough for us and our partial view of New York City was also awesome. The breakfast served at this hotel surpassed definitely surpassed our expectations. The checkout process easy and the minor hiccups we had was swiftly taken care of by Karla. These two young ladies are a dynamic duo and The Residence Inn by Marriott should be lucky to have them.

I stayed in a suite that was advertised as having a full stove, but it only had a stovetop. Even when I cooked on the stovetop, the fire alarm went off immediately. The room layout was awkward, and there were no windows that could be opened for ventilation. The room felt very stuffy, and I felt unwell after staying there.

Was checked into a room with stains all over the headboard and wall, not really what you want to great you. It’s probably not the nicest having to clean up for guests but if housekeeping are changing the linen they should at least wipe away evidence of prior guest exploits!

This hotel used to be my favorite place to stay. However, after this stay I will be looking for alternatives.

• Several lights did not work in my room.
• My hotel room phone did not work properly.
• The hotel/room looked worn.
• Only (1) elevator working
• I was not informed about the new construction next door and even upgraded my room for the city view. It was loud and restless.
• The ongoing smell of marijuana.

I love the location and ease to access the ferry. However, the hotel is declining quickly.

However, We paid extra for a room with a view of NYC - when we arrived we were told this hotel has no view as it is blocked by another hotel in front of it.

We were there seven days - and four of them, the lights in the majority of the room did not work. Each day we reported it - the staff promptly addressed it - but the next morning, the lights would not work again.

There were no working ice machines on the floors - other than the lobby floor.

We were given two towels and one roll of toilet paper. This is not adequate so we kept having to ask for towels and toilet paper.

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Weekhawkin and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive from the moment I checked in. The proximity to the ferry is unbeatable. The food options are limited but solid. The addition of doubling which has its first location in Montclair where I used to live is an excellent restaurant. The Highwood solid sports bar with a great WEDNESDAY NIGHT SUSHI special . Also the bar/ restaurant at the ferry is unique and a bother solid option. The hotel is clean, nice beds, big rooms, and a solid free continental breakfast. Safe, easy to get to the local train for local travel (Path).

The location next to the ferry was convenient but we still ended up doing a lot of rideshares because it was many times less expensive. It was a nice property with a good restaurant around the corner.

We didn't like the hearing accessible room's shower though - there was no lip or other drainage and the floor just got soaking wet everytime we used it.

Lovely large suite with a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/sitting room. Kitchen include large refrigerator, microwave and cooker so you can prepare your own meals if you wish. There is an ACME supermarket a short walk away. Good complimentary breakfast. Excelent transport links to Manhatten. Brilliant views of the Manhattan skyline. Service was brilliant.

The front desk staff on all shifts were so friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and great looking. Right across from NJ/NYC Ferry. My ship was docked next to Ferry terminal in NYC. So convenient, I just walked to ship. I would definitely stay here again.
