I want to start by saying, we arrived very early before check in and they were able to get us in a room quickly. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked. We were there during 100* weather. We realized the toilet did not work and contacted the front desk at 5:10 pm…we were told nothing could be done until 9 am the next day. Couldn’t even change rooms. The refrigerator in the room froze our drinks and they exploded. That said, staff was very nice and the continental breakfast was good.

Room we were initially assigned to had a tub that wouldn't drain, so my child had to get out of it and get dressed again. Lamp was inoperable, didn't even have a knob. We were moved to another room for the night, and yet a THIRD room the next evening. That room had curtains which wouldn't close, so we had the city lights shining in our faces all night, making it hard to sleep. Manager was \"out of town,\" and never called us as promised, so wr called HIM.

Desk staff (Nil and Harry) were understanding, apologetic, and very helpful. They tried, but it wasn't their fault.

Extremely disappointed. We were in a musty basement. I dont even believe its acceptable for business. Leaks, fired hazards, and we could barely walk into the room and move. And we are small people. Only good thing was breakfast.

Bare-bones hotel. Rooms are very smalls. Thin walls. Paint chipping, 1/2 empty bottles of toiletries. Breakfast is included but was cold and barely edible. Overall, if you aren't planning on spending any time in your room other than sleeping, its fine.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. I would stay again. I didn't use the TV or fridge but they were available in the room. I also did not get a chance to take advantage of the free breakfast since my flight was leaving early. Everything was clean except the last guest shed alot of hair in the bathroom and houskeeping didn't quite get it all. Convinient spot for walking to activities, food, and shopping.

it was a pleasant stay since gf and i are not sensitive. things can be improved to bring experience to a whole new level, like using rolling devices to transport clean towels/sheets, picking time for service to use elevator (not during morning).. shower pressure drops when neightbor uses shower.. for price and location, also the breakfast included, we found our stay to be okay. would we stay again? yes, if the price is right.

While the management and staff were friendly, the property showed some wear; rooms were small, wall tiles uneven, and paint chipped. The location was terrific for Broadway shows, and the 300 block of W. 44th was safe and convenient.

Staff very helpful, hotel could use some uodating

This hotel is ideally located for the theater district. However, it has definitely seen better days. It is clean and the breakfast was fine, but we ran into several issues. The main one is the construction site across the street--not Ramada's fault--where drilling began at 7 am. Fortunately the very helpful staff, especially Harry, got us a nice, quiet room the next day at the back of the hotel. Staff were excellent; the hotel could use some updating.

New York city so knew rhe rooms would be small. Liked that there was no carpet but floor was dirty when walked upon. Couldn't adjust AC as needed a ladder. Staff adjusted quickly once we realized the wall thermometer wasn't working.

Nightmare. Put us in the basement. No heat. Floors dirty. Breakfast buffet had 50 people in lobby and no where to sit. Continental breakfast not grand buffet as stated. Rude staff. Huge mistake staying here and I’m not a picky person. Don’t stay here.

Location is the only good thing about his hotel. It has a lobby/cafeteria/stockroom. Our room was in the lobby! No opportunity to change it. Expedia was not of much help neither. Small room, no space to locate luggage, dirty walls and lamp shades. Breakfast 😶Summary: not recommended at all.

This hotel is closed to Times Square and restaurants, the price is not bad for the area, the beds are ok, but it really needs renovations. The bathtub had like mold. Overall good for one night. The free breakfast was really good!

It is a rundown property. There is no carpet on the floors. My room was in the basement which smelled like the subway. The hotel staff was based in the basement as well so there was constant noise all night long.

We were on the first floor. I have never actually been to a hotel where your room is right off the lobby. We could hear the lobby music all night along with the dinging of the elevator and shuffling around of people. It made for a terrible nights sleep. Not to mention the door did not close all the way on its own, you really had to make sure it was latched when leaving.

I do not recommend this hotel at all. Our room was not ready even though we checked in past the acceptable time of 3pm. We had to sit and wait for a room to be cleaned. The lobby is unkept and cardboard boxes behind the front desk. Our room was very small, the towels were dirty and the overall room needed a serious upgrade. The only plus was its convenient location.

Expedia add stated that parking was included. The hotel website stated that parking was NOT available. I called the hotel prior to arrival and they stated that there was a parking garage across the street and to bring the ticket to the front desk upon arrival and they would validate it, which i did.

Upon leaving, the parking garage said that the hotel only gave a discount and we still had to pay. Upon paying through the payment machine, we were charged the full overnight rate with no discount. We felt completely lied to.

Aside from that, there was a prevalent smell of weed throughout the building, including our room.

Very tired and old hotel. You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for. Very old hotel with one very slow elevator. Be prepared for coffee maker to not work, bedside lights to not work, low water pressure, paint peeling off walls, etc. The front desk staff was nice and helpful at check-in. That was really the only plus side of this hotel.

When we got there Receptionist ,couldn't find our reservation. We provided both the Confirmation # and Expedia itinery #.We called Expedia to sort this out and my husband spoke to a lady who kept on saying she will send a \"notification\". When we asked what she meant by \"notification\"( email, text, phone call), the lady just said the same word. The hotel NEVER received a \"notification\" from Expedia. The good thing is that the Receptionist named, Parish Engandhi helped us find a room. The hotel did great. Breakfast was ample. EXPEDIA dropped the ball when it came to our reservation.

NYC has many luxurious hotels at great prices. This place is not one of them. I booked online & got a deal. I arrived 1hr late due to traffic on the bus and was told my room wasn’t ready for an hour. Trash in my room on arrivaland staff was not exactly the relaxed and comforting type. Just needed an indoor place to rest my head. I skipped breakfast but many ppl seemed to enjoy it.

The property listed Valet parking. There was NO valet parking and my husband has knee replacement surgery and has limited walking ability. Then they could not find our reservation. It made us late for our show and left anxiety that we did not know if we would have a room at nights end. A horrible experience that makes us question how we book reservations in the future.

Ramada Hotel franchise disaster

The Concierge person has an sttitude. He doesn’t deserve to be dealing face to face with customers.
The TV remote didn’t allow me to change channels at all. It’s been stuck on that same channel when I got in.
The A/C can’t be turned off. It was cold for the whole night of my stay.

Very disappointed with Ramada NYC

When I first pulled up to the place I was disappointed . I wasn’t greeted with a bellhop and cleanliness but instead greeted with 2 people asking me for money and a façade of filth , so gross! Not what I expected for $600.00 a night . As I walked in through the doors of the so called lobby , they’ve crammed a service desk and a buffet counter into a 20x20 area. I barely even got a greeting and not even an offering to take up my bags . Elevator definitely needs to be serviced , dirty and has a lot of play stepping in and out of it and I only know this because I was a technician during my younger years. Room was the worst I’ve ever stayed in for that rate . Room was borderline clean , looks like it was renovated in a hurry with very little money , definitely cut corners as if no one would notice . Lastly to my surprise house keeping brought in her 3 yr old daughter on Saturday morning layed her down on blanket with some toys on hall floor while she cleaned rooms.Couldn’t believe it! I’ve stayed at Ramadas before but never again . I’m probably being a little to nice with this review ..

Besides a good variety of breakfast options, this hotel needs a huge updating. Everything was so old and outdated, the place looked dirty, the shower curtain was dirty. It’s reasonable but still not that cheap. So for almost $300 a night, this was a total NO. The bed was right at the door, almost bumped my knee when we opened the door. Too small and crammed. Only their breakfast would make me give them 1 star and still we had to clean our own table

This hotel is in a great location, but it’s definitely showing its age. Closet handles broken, bathroom mirror held on by tape, dirty in some places, etc.

The staff was very helpful though. The first room we went in reeked of cigarettes (it’s supposed to be a smoke-free property), but they switched us a to a new room right away. We also had issues with the tv in the new room, but they sent someone up quickly to fix it.

Overall - great location, semi-reasonably priced place. It’s not fancy or the cleanest, but the staff is very nice.

This place was basically a dump, compared to the other bad NYC hotels. Staff was terrible - most of them did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate. Our room overlooked a loading dock so we were woken up with trucks unloading at 2 am. Overall not a great experience.

The bathroom door opened only half way because of the bed. The vanity was scratched and in need of replacement.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Clean and comfortable room, small but normal for the city, very cold fridge. Happily Didn’t notice any noise from other rooms though I could hear their tv plainly in the hall.
Metro station close by, walkable to Times Square and waterfront.

Room windows were dirty with lots of smudges, God knows what else wasn't cleaned from the last guest. The cutrains didn't close all the way so couldn't take a nap because the sun was shining right in. Only one elevator which was used mostly by housekeepers so guests hat to wait up to 15 minutes.

Two blocks from Times Square and not overpriced.

Not bad for the price paid. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, climate-controlled fine, and a huge TV. The shower's water pressure wasn't 100% but that's about the only complaint. Buffet breakfast was decent (are they ever great?). I would go back.
