Eric is the best concierge ever! He helped me plan an amazing weekend for my son's birthday. All other staff members were very friendly and helpful. From all of the special birthday accommodations from the hotel (cake, massage, and a wonderful suite with a view 😍), I will be staying again myself. 20/10

Room was small but clean, check in very easy and friendly. Free waters were nice. Wish there was space in fridge for more than mini bar items, as we had medications needing refrigeration. Cleaning staff was super nice and efficient. Elevators could be slow. Fantastic location. Some street noise but definitely manageable for location.

Absolutely wonderful staff. Fantastic location. Some great nearby places to visit. Beautiful Lilly’s bar over the road. Truly authentic little Italian right next door with the best Italian food you’ve ever had! The only thing the hotel could do with is some cosy sofa’s when the bar is closed but otherwise a great stay!

The Time New York by JdV by Hyatt told me they would help me send a package up to my room, and then refused the package. I have proof from UPS tracking. This package was supposed to have my winter gear for NYC. I am extremely disappointed. The windows also sweat and ooze water into the room, while the alarm outside of the shower goes off without warning. I tried to call management to make it right before posting this review. I would not recommend this hotel

Sensational location for Broadway goers. Quiet, clean and spacious (by NYC standard) rooms. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Wine and cheese from 5-6 and free water bottles at reception were great touches.

Hotel is clean, staff great. Stayed in the suite and the extra space was definitely needed. It was just me and my girlfriend but I don't like to feel like I'm in a box. Great location, was able to walk everywhere we needed to go, you're in Times Square. Parking garage directly across the street. Only stayed for one night so didn't get to experience the amenities. Would stay again!

Enjoyed the cheese and wine one night and dinner one night at Serafina - and that was excellent.
Room was a little tight, but the open \"closet\" helped it feel visually not as small, and it was nice to see everything hanging in it. Appreciated the umbrella, but we'd brought our own. Location was amazing, so close to Times Square, but quiet.We'll be back!

There was a huge discrepancy between the pictures/room description and the actual room. The room was rundown and, while I did not have concerns about cleanliness, everything was a little worse for wear. The room description said there would be a TV, but there was no TV. The bathroom light emitted a horrible, high-pitched sound when it was turned on. While we technically had a window, it was largely blocked by something mechanical, so we had no natural light. I never write reviews, but wanted to put others on notice given the discrepancy between what was advertised vs. what we experienced. We admittedly did not bring these concerns to the front desk (we just tried to spend as little time as possible in the room), so it's possible that they could have put us up in a nicer room; however, we figured there would be limited availability during the holidays.

This hotel is not, and I cannot stress this enough, a 4 star hotel. It is a 3 star hotel at best. The only good thing about it is the location.

We arrived at 1pm and the room wasn’t ready l. Understandable since check in is at 3. Andre at the front desk who checked us in said it was “guaranteed to be ready at 3. We came back at 3:50pm and the room was still not ready, and the front desk agent Nilika was very rude and unapologetic about it. Then she changed our room without advising us until we got to the room and found our things weren’t there.

The rest of the staff I encountered were very unfriendly and not helpful at all. The rooms were dated and almost a bit run down. The tv offered minimal channels, no option to connect to streaming services either.

The coffee machine in the room was available upon request and when I asked for one it arrived with a used old coffee pod inside it. And 2 DECAF coffee pods.

The only other request I made was for some ice to be brought to the room and it arrived about 45 mins later.

The only highlight would be Eric, the concierge. He was excellent and the only bright spot to our stay at this hotel.

Great location. Very close to many attractions and subway stops. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. The room was on the smaller side but it is Manhattan so that is to be expected. It was tidy but not completely spotless. There was an incident where the steam from the shower set off the smoke detector but the staff called to check in immediately and shut the alarm off within 5 minutes.

Multiple broken outlets/switches in the room. The $80 “resort” fee which offers no amenities. The minibar was grossly overpriced. $12 for a tiny thing of candy or nuts. Certainly not a 4 star hotel. This was more of a 3 star average hotel without the “resort fee”.

Gorgeous Hotel! I never would have guessed as its tucked away, but it delighted me and my boyfriend. Very clean, kind and friendly staff, plus we had full control over the thermostat (huuuge plus for NYC winter where heat is A LOT all the time.) Again, the Scandinavian minimalist design was gorgeous. Had a pretty large room for a NYC hotel with a king bed. I would come back again!

The TMPL gym amenity perk is very much a pro, and the best wine and cheese happy hour. The only opportunity I saw was the need for an upgrade on furnishings. The good: the staff was friendly and helpful, the location was great, the room was pretty quiet for the location, we appreciated the bottled water at the front desk, and the bathroom products were above average.
The bad: there wasn't a luggage rack, the bathroom was a bit dingy, the bathroom door squeaked which was annoying at night, the comforter had a tear in it and a stain, and the sheets smelled musty.
The unacceptable: the heating unit didn't work consistently; in fact, it only gave us heat one time and otherwise it only put out cold air, so we kept it off most of the time, which made the room uncomfortably cold in November. We should have told the staff earlier, but we kept thinking when we got back to the room at night that it would work again, but it didn't. We gave them feedback on checkout because we didn't want others experiencing that, they were empathetic.

Building is under construction. Street noise was loud and kept us up till 4 am. Elevators tiny and cramped Heater would not shut off. Room got to 80 degrees and maintenance took awhile to get to the room and attempt to fix it.

The moment I walked into my room, there was a dead cockroach under a nightstand. I immediately went to the front desk and my room was changed. The only compensation I received was 2 drink cards that were $10 each ($20 total). I had fear of another cockroach or other bug infestation (bed bugs). The mattress was not comfortable. From the bedframe, bathroom and overall room, there was a lot of wear and tear. The grout in the bathroom was not cleaned well. The bathroom vent did not work which means mold can happen.The hotel needs a lot of updates. I felt I should have been compensated or got money off my stay. You also get charged to use the facilities even if you don't use them. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staying at **The Time New York** was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond with their friendliness and helpfulness, making me feel welcome the moment I arrived. Every question was answered with genuine care, and it truly felt like they wanted my stay to be as comfortable as possible.

The accommodations were stunning—modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail, from the room layout to the amenities, felt carefully thought out. It was the perfect balance of luxury and comfort.

The onsite dining was another highlight. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the atmosphere made every meal feel like a special occasion without even leaving the hotel.

Overall, The Time New York exceeded all expectations. Between the amazing staff, top-notch accommodations, and excellent dining, it’s a place I would happily return to again and again. Highly recommend!

I stayed here for two nights in two rooms. One of the rooms smelled like smoke, and the hotel overall felt very small and cramped. The furniture was worn and torn, and although there have been some upgrades, it still feels like a work in progress. On the positive side, the beds were somewhat comfortable, but overall the experience was disappointing.

-I liked the digital signs to signal staff for needing a room clean or “do not disturb”

Dislikes:
-when we arrived after check in, our room door was not closed so that was weird. I’ll chalk it up to staff not closing the door. However it made paranoid and me take the extra step of making sure the door was closed every time we left.
- the room was quiet from city noise. However, we could hear seemingly any and all hallway noises through the door.

Overall it was a great stay and I would probably stay there again to see if it was just my particular room that had those issues.

Great hotel in great location with friendly and attentive staff. Close to theaters, Times Square, subways, restaurants, Central Park, etc. Would stay here again for sure. Only small issue was there is no coffee maker in the room or lobby. You have to pay at the restaurant adjacent to the hotel.

Great location, 2 blocks away from Time Square. Walkable to many locations. The hotel itself was small and the room was okay. The large carpet in the room looks old and dirty. The bathroom was the worst part. As soon as I walked in the bathroom it smelled like urine. Perfume would not make it go away. I will never stay at this hotel again. Many coworkers warned me about this hotel, but I wanted to give it a try. There are many hotels in the area that are much nicer.

This includes the front desk, the door crew, and housekeeping. The only thing I can point out is that the bottom shelf of the fridge had stains. Overall the hotel was good. The doormen were exceptionally nice and helpful. I did try steaming a piece of clothing with their iron while my daughter was drying her hair and the power went out in our room. We had to call maintenance to service room. This did create a problem with having our room cleaned because we could not press the button that lights up for housekeeping in the hallway. I do feel like when we would go to the front desk and ask for things from housekeeping it was as if it got lost somewhere between here and there. Also every time you call housekeeping you seem to have to leave a message vs. a person answering the line. I do wish it would at least roll over to front desk. The hotel is more than convenient to everything from Times Square, to theatre district to Hell’s Kitchen to just name a few. All were within walking distance as well as Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center. Also the subway stops were so convenient to hotel and there is a nearby CVS to pick up any needed items as well as Starbucks and Krispy Kreme for breakfast pickups. I would definitely stay at The Time New York again.

I stayed for one night with my fiancée and it was excellent! We arrived early because we booked a show at 2pm. Tanya checked us in quickly, held our luggage, and texted us when the room was ready! She made everything so quick and easy. The drinks at the lounge also were excellent. The manager Eric recommended the steak house across the street for dinner and made our reservation. You can tell this place

The time was amazingly convenient to Broadway shows and Times Square. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and always had a smile.

Be mindful of the check-in process where you take a separate and different elevator upon entering the lobby in order to get to check-in.
