The room that we stayed in looked like a shack. It was so small pushed back in a corner. So whatever you do do not get room 1924. But besides that breakfast, the cleaners of the room, the location and everything was really, really nice.

The breakfast was pricy so se skipped it. Our room was older and needed a little work. The csrpets were dirty and the wall treatment in the bathroom was coming apart. We were in a room with no view so maybe if we had paid more for a room with a view the room would have been nicer? The hotel is located in an area that is walking distance to a lot of attractions, so that was nice. The line for starbucks was really long every morning, plan on at least 30 minutes wait time or you better go really early or just plan to ho somewhere outside the hotel were they can serve you faster.

I didn’t like that they charge me $35 every night for supposedly credit towards breakfast that cost $47 per person a glass of wine for $17 etc to force us to buy from the hotel. Terrible

However did not like being charged a daily destination Fee of 40 dollars (included 2.06 dollars city tax).
Nowhere was this explained before our arrival.

The Sheraton is in an excellent location, only three blocks to Carnegie Hall, easy walking to theaters and Times Square, as well as Central Park. However, As mentioned in their blurb, check in is crazy busy, slow and understaffed. In fact staff are not that friendly, except for the awesome cleaning staff. And to mention now, the elevators are confusing to use, because the staff did not explain how to use them. We observed many guest having to help other guests to find their floor…thank goodness for the help of others. Now if you happen to bring back left overs from their restaurants…good luck in finding the “Goodwill” donated microwave that is supposed to be located on only a select few floors where even staff are not up to date on which floor that might be. Once found, it’s merely at the elevator area of the chosen floor, and good luck if you are on an upper floor, as you have to descend, with the steaming hot food, back to the lobby where you have to re enter your floor from the master control panel, inconvenient to say the least, and totally lowers the status of a higher end hotel experience.
Also inconvenient, insulting, rude and embarrassing is if you have already checked out and are waiting for transportation, heaven forbid you need to use the toilet facilities, you’ll need your room key for that! I was fortunate to have a very kind and helpful baggage storage attendant to walk me down and open the door for me. Others, weren’t so lucky. Yet, the beds were super comfy!

We arrived about 7:30 PM and there was no room available. They said they would call us when it was ready. At 9:00 PM (after no phone call) we stood in line again another 15 minutes and were finally given a room. There was a quiet time posted for 10:00 PM, but there was a loud party at the end of the hall near our room that went to 11:30 PM. It was not a guest room, but a space the hotel rents out. Our room was very small and the furnishing were old, but it was clean.

The room was very clean. A bit smaller than I expected from the online photos. Our shower enclosure was leaking so we had to put down towels every time we showered. Otherwise it was a pretty decent stay.

The property is definitely not 4 star. The bathroom was very basic. Bathroom amenities were bare minimum. There was very little sound proof for the room. You can hear the door opening and closing in the hallway clearly which is very annoying! The location is pretty good though. And the beds were very comfortable.

The location is great. Rooms are small and could use a facelift but ok. Rooms that say double beds are 47” so if sharing a bed it’s tight for two adults. Staff are friendly. $35 tourism charge per night that you can reclaim as credit if you purchase from restaurant. We used it to get Starbucks and a few snacks each day.

The hotel Needs to be updated but the location is what makes this a convenient place to stay. The buffet breakfast was not worth the money. The food was cold and service took forever. Also the staff at breakfast was dropping silverware, clanging dishes. At least we had a $35 credit toward it or I would have complained.

The hotel was in an excellent location walking distance to nearly everything! The hotel and room was nice and clean. Very small rooms, very expensive. The check in process was horrible! They do not allow early check in and make you pay $6 per bag to hold your luggage until the room is ready. That's the most ridiculous think I've ever heard! I was already paying $300+ a night, and now you're going to charge me $6 PER bag to hold my luggage for 2-3 hours because you didn't get the room ready?! Totally felt nickle and dimed! They tell everyone to come back and check in at 4pm and then there's a HUGE line to check in that moves incredibly slow. We stood in line for over 30 minutes and we were near the front of the line.

Pros: -location is very convenient
-lots of elevators
-quiet for the most part
-taxis/rickshaws right out front
-gift shop available to purchase snacks etc
-in house restaurant

Cons: -hotel needs TLC ie. toilet flush is weak / shower pressure is weak
- not cleaned throughly between visitors ie. found toothbrush and hair tie on the floor
- elevators are quite ‘wobbly’ and almost sound like they’ll break anytime
-Starbucks is not a ‘real’ Starbucks, very limited options and hours
- request for hour later checkout so kids can sleep before our flight was denied

The room was a bit too noisy. We can hear the noises coming from the streets.
We got a issue with the bathroom (bathtub and toilet clogged). We had to call the reception and they sent someone right away to fix the problem.

Was chaotic while checking in. The hotel definitely is not prepared to handle large crowds and the elevator system takes forever for a large number of requests. The rooms are good for NYC standards and the bar was nice.

There was only one elevator working for our floors. Huge lines and long waits. We ended up taking the stairs most of the time. We were on the 26th floor. I had my handicap parents with us so we had a van. The parking was 110$ every time you got your car out and brought back. It was horrible and this is not told to you on the website.

Horrible experience. Anything barely works the tv didn’t work it wasn’t even smart and there’s no WiFi there no signal no nothing. The sheets were dirty, the ac unit full of dust, the fridge in bad conditions didn’t cool… well worst experience not coming back ever.

There is $ma destination fee, $35 a day from a day you check in and check out. But you can use to purchase Starbucks coffee and food at the lobby and bar afternoon. If you don’t use it, you’ll be still charged $35 a day. Ed Sheeran gives you two ticket of the Guten HAIM Museum or two hours like rental at the Central Park.
Our room was 21st floor which has not been remodeled. Our room was clean, but furnitures were old. Great strong shower and very comfortable bed!

There is no fridge and the microwave is in the hallway for EVERYONE to use. The elevators kept malfunctioning and I got trapped on it with multiple people going up and down not stopping at the right floors. I eventually had to walk 11 flights to get to my room. On top of that I slipped in their tub and sprained my ankle because their non slip stuff is cheap. The elevator panel was broken off the wall. 4 star hotel my ass

It’s a nice hotel. Close to Times Square but not right in the very center you have to walk a little down but not bad at all. The lines were long to do bag checks because everyone gets there early hoping for early check in and are told the rooms aren’t ready but I wasn’t ready to be charged $6 to check each bag. They give you a $35 credit to the room to use for their on-site restaurant but the breakfast is conveniently $47ish. You’re paying 😭 the rooms were nice, not the cleanest ever in the bathroom but it was clean and acceptable. I was pleasantly surprised to get room service when I didn’t ask for it. That was nice and appreciated.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. However, the mattress quality was very poor and caused back pain. The room also felt lacking in basic amenities—there was no complimentary water or convenient items provided. It would be helpful if the hotel could at least provide bottled water or a microwave, so guests can access hot water during the night if needed.

PLEASE READ! SAFETY CONCERNS!
1. My girlfriend approached a security person from the hotel to ask where the water fountain was located. After some brief conversation, this staff member made comments about s*x workers in her country of origin, and even asked how to open a s*x club there...
2. Took one hour to get checked-in (this was past 1am).
3. After checking in, we could not enter the room, which was locked. Later came to find out there was an "unauthorized guest" occupying the room. Ended up they had to call the police. We were rattled that if the door latch was not engaged, we would have walked into an unsafe situation.
4. When reporting this situation to the front desk, we were met with condescending and patronizing remarks. We were four people and had originally booked a double room for two nights. The concierge then told us that, for the first night, they were out of double rooms so he would give us two separate rooms, and we should have been happy since he was giving us a free room for the night...
5. After waiting for another hour, he ended "finding" a double room. Once again, to our surprise, the room appeared to not be turned down properly (dirty bathroom, pillow cases with blood stains, and mattress full of hair, broken mirror)
6. Even more concerning, the door had the latch broken!!! How do you think we slept knowing that anyone could come in given what happened to the previous room?
7. After the trip, found out I was overcharged $35.16 on my credit card.

came in and there was a huge line to check in, was advised to come at 4PM, than was asked to do mobile checkin, which i did at 4PM, system said room can be within an hour, so agreed to 5PM, at 5PM, system showed checkin time 5:45PM, anyway decided to stand in the regular line (not the mobile check in), used the time to write a message on the app, and got a auto response that said "sorry for the delay, please write us a feedback"..., around 5:30PM (2.5 hours from 3PM the check in time), got in front of a staff member, and when I said this is so wrong, the staff member immediately said, he just check in people and if i want i can write to the management, as this is usual... Internet in the room is at a fee (i do not remember when last time was asked to pay for Internet), got 1 battle of shampoo for the entire 5 night stay... they never thought to bring another one... i checked out at 11AM sharp, and left the room at 11:10AM... in these 10 minutes was asked twice when I am leaving.... so 2.5hours delay in check in is OK, but 10 minutes checkout is not...
i travel all the time and spend allot of time in hotels, never wrote a bad review... this is my first! horrible experience.
