Found a cockroach in my room. I asked twice to have the weird chirping coming from the phone to be fixed and the safe to be opened and neither done. The hotel is not sound proof and all I heard all night was honking and sirens from outside. The bed is weird and I had to chatgtp what to do as the bed was not flat when you go in and you have to find the controls… there are no instructions and no one at the desk said anything about the bed and where the controls are. The rooms are tiny. Overall I don’t think I got my monies worth from my stay at the hotel… paid a lot and really was not a good hotel. Convenient for the location of where I needed to go but not the best experience. Also I had to pay to store my bags when I arrived … maybe that is normal in New York but never in my travels around the world have I paid to store my bags in a hotel I’m staying at and they only take cash. So be aware.

There was still food in the fridge from the previous guest and some of the surfaces had ketchup on them. Not clean like a hotel should be. This used to be a favorite but will think twice next time.

There was a suprise charge at check inn saying it’s for resort fees and I don’t see any resort, there is no microwave in the room to warm ur own food, there is fridge in the room to preserve anything u may have to eat or snack on. They have a patio but even tho you paid resort fees but you can’t take your drink there to chill, I see no point been forced to pay resort fees hence you already paid for the room you are occupying, makes no sense. It’s a rip off

The room was central to Times Square and close to different types of restaurants and stores, so a great location. Rooms were small, could've been cleaned a little better and the bed could've been more comfortable. Too much smoking going on in the non smoking rooms but that's not the hotel that's inconsiderate customers. View was really nice, would stay again.

I was under the impression that you can use the fourth floor seating area to take pictures and hang out. But it is connected to the restaurant and the restaurant has nothing to do with the hotel and they do not allow you to sit out there just as a paying room person. I was a little disappointed in that. Also, the room had some mechanical issues knobs on the faucet, and the shower didn’t work properly.

It’s a great place for the price point. Rooms are clean and neat but bc of the white design choice signs of aging and wear are very apparent. Staff was a mix. Staff at the kiosk and restaurant were very friendly but the cleaning staff is really load and the clerk for check out was a bit abrasive. Also the addition of a resort fee is ridiculous. A gym and robot luggage system does not make a resort. That being said the location was great and I’d stay again.

Rooms are pretty amortized by now and maintenance seems to have been just the absolute minimum: safe was broken in my room; the separation curtain between bathroom and bedroom, just missing; and a new fridge, while useful, was just too big to fit in the room’s fixed decor so it was kinda sitting against the sink and a wall shelf, also taking the space where the curtain should have been.

The bed sheets were dirty the minute we walked in , dirt in the bathroom shower , rust and visible dirt on the desk and random substance smudges . The light for the bathroom did not work including the light above the toilet . The place has teenagers running around & it smells like marijuanna. 8 in the morning a random staff just opened our door as we were laying in the bed asleep , scaring us out of our sleep .. didn't say anything just closed the door and walked off . When I went into the hallway she was walking fast down the hall and said she was just checking the rooms , however checkout time is 11am!?!?!?!?!?!? Will never stay again , best thing about the place is the person who worked front desk this morning because he let me check out late for a work meeting

DO NOT BOOK! I had an awful experience at Yotel New York. The website advertises parking next door, but doesn’t make it clear it’s limited or subject to availability. I called ahead and was told I could park, but when I arrived the garage was full, staff were rude, and I had to park a block away and pay full price for two nights. Check-in was just as bad. My room had no power, the bed was not made, the phone didn’t work, and it took forever to get any help. The shower handle came off, the shower head didn’t work properly, and even the key failed, locking me out later. On top of that, a staff member had a terrible attitude when I mentioned this issues and blamed another company for it. No accountability! They don’t care about the guest’s experience. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing stay.

Hotel did not live up to the representation on photos. The sink was disgusting. There were yellow stains and black mold on counters and black grime on wall seams. Wood was chipped and cracked. Management was totally, repeat: totally absent, and did not respond to multiple calls and emails from their own staff, nor did they respond to Expedia attempts at communicating with them. They showed a complete lack of respect for us and for Expedia. Worst experience ever!

PS I've since checked their reviews on Yelp and noticed that multiple negative reviews are hidden. This property is misleading customers and your company. It does not meet the most basic standards of the industry or of Expedia.

The rooms are not the smallest I've stayed in Manhattan, but pretty close. They call their rooms \"cabins\", and I can see now why. Charged us $3 per bag to stow for a few hours and $60 to check in an hour early. Hotel is close to the piers which is what we wanted, and we were able to walk to Carnegie's diner for lunch and Birdland for dinner. Okay place to stay if you're taking a cruise the next day. But $395 is still pretty steep.

We were so excited to try the Yotel due to its Japanese style rooms. WE left our house later than expected and arrived around 11:45pm. 1st read flag were the revolving doors not working. When we got inside we were greeted with 6-8 kiosk sections (not a human) when trying to retrieve our reservation, nothing was found. We had to wait in a long line for 1 receptionist to check us in. The room itself was okay, but no fridges available we found odd. Upon leaving the hotel the next day for a majority of the day, no cleaning staff ever came. We decided to end our stay earlier and leave Saturday night instead of Sunday morning because we knew we'd be more comfortable at home. Checking out using the kiosk was also useless so we needed to see a receptionist, again. There was two receptionist this time but one receptionist never acknowledged us and we had to wait for the 2nd to be done with their other customer. He noticed we were checking out earlier but in general never asked us how the stay was, which was a 1st compared to our other hotel experiences. Safe to say, thank Yotel for giving us a place to lay our heads for the night but we will not be returning.

This will be our last stay at the Yotel. We’ve stayed there twice before. Issues started at check in. I made one reservation for 3 rooms. What a mess to untangle that. Then we got to our room and the lights didn’t work and the bed didn’t work. Back to reception. Moved us to another room where the bed didn’t work either, a light was burned out, and the phone and the safe didn’t work. But they said they didn’t have any more rooms. We stayed anyways, 2 nights. Then one of our room keys didn’t work and back to reception to get those replaced. The luggage robot was not working. And to top it all off, the bar and restaurant were closed. The whole place is looking run down and in great need of an all-over refresh.

If you are excited to visit the Big Apple and just have a place to crash Yotel will be one. Expensive, but that's it a place to crash. The front desk people only know to give you the Keys other things they will go away and make a call, and if you request the manager to show up, he will a sneaky and tip toe fleet the site. Definitely a bed in Manhattan managed by NON-Hospitality professionals

I am not happy with my stay at all at Yotel for some reasons.
Despite the small room and space, there was no fridge to keep our stuff in.
There were a few \"ice maker\" in some floors\", not all that we had to go other floors to use.
There was no ice bucket to grab ice even. I had to have them in a plastic bag.
There was no water in the room. Even when we asked the restaurant to find a water dispenser or something, the manager said either the vending machine or you need to buy from outside.
I strongly recommend everyone to not step into this \"hotel\" at all.

I went to check in a little after 4 because check in states it is at 3pm so I went later to ensure my room was ready for check in. Upon my arrival I went to the kiosk to check in and it says my room is not ready for check in. The staff then proceeded to tell me to walk to the side desk and speak to the gentleman there. ( didn’t get his name but he wore glasses) When I approached the desk the gentleman told me “when I call you, you step up don’t step up if not called that is how it works. “ I was flabbergasted by his comment on how customer service works however I did not feel like he was in a position to speak to someone in that manner. That is not customer service and you should not speak to a guest in that manner. Then proceeded to tell me I had to wait for my room to be ready and have a seat. I got into my room closer to 5pm. I was a little surprised on the service being I had stayed here previously and had no issues.

This is a good place to go for a quick trip in NYC. It isn’t that far from Times Square which is a plus. About a 12 minute walk. However the rooms are very small and a few things looked worn out in room. Didn’t also like the fact that the rooftop you can’t just chill and enjoy unless you’re buying something from the bar. They came up to me and my wife saying we had to leave if we weren’t purchasing anything due to them not being part of hotel. I was confused on that part. You also are getting charged $44 a night which isn’t a deposit just a fee. I probably wouldn’t come back here. It wasn’t horrible, but there are better options out there

This is a bare bones kind of place. The front desk is way understaffed (they have self check-in kiosks but good luck if you have a question). I needed a bottle opener and went to call the front desk only to find it wasn’t connected. I messaged the hotel and they did eventually message me back but they told me there was one in the room and there wasn’t. There was a permanent sign telling you what channel to turn to to order food but that wasn’t operational either.

Also, they need to give you instructions for your room. There’s nothing but mood lighting from what I could tell; no bright light for packing, etc. There were also directional signs for ice and water on my floor, and I followed the signs all the way around just to find a notice saying ice and water wasn’t available on my floor; it was on the floor above. Any kind of minimal up to date info in the room would help a lot.

All that being said the room was clean and serviceable given the price and location.

Had a horrible experience here with my fiancé and I, would NOT recommend staying at the YOTEL in Time Square as I stayed for memorial weekend, As me and my other half were unpacking she noticed something that was wedge in the corner in the back of the bed and screamed she had found a DIRTY USED CONDOM it was totally disgusting, But we was in a rush to get changed and to go meet with friends for a celebration that we just left so we wouldn't be more late so i grabbed tissues and threw it away in the trash the next day in the lobby it was extremely packed and told the gentleman at the table and he just looked at me and turned his head away and i just laughed and walked away it was a joke, I then reached out by phone and totally ignored me for two weeks pretty much even to this day so if you want to over pay for a disgusting room that doesn't get cleaned properly go to the YOTEL... I gave them the opportunity to do right by me but i was miss treated by there managers and staff

When I asked the front desk about it she said they no longer have the breakfast buffet that it had changed about 2 weeks ago.
