I had a nice stay at Hotel Alameda. Good value for money, clean and comfortable, in a convenient location. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A few little things made it a 4 star, not a 5 star: soundproofing between rooms is poor; there were instructions for a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee maker; no cups for water in the room; I put out the “do not disturb” sign but they still made up my room; and the restaurant served me a breakfast sandwich on a bagel that had been microwaved until it was rock hard. (The filling and greens were fresh and tasty). All in all, not one of these warranted a complaint, but all together they made a difference.

dont stay there on a friday or saturday night they have a nightclub in the basement that is open until 3.30am and i could hear the thumping beat of the music in my room on the 6th floor it was a nightmare!!!

Bar and restaurant was closed when I showed up and the following day. Not sure if that is normal.

Room was a bit janky... Some lights didn't work, the ironing board was broken, and the bed sits on the floor (not sure how clean they keep the floors...)

Great location clean modern rooms are a great value. Nice bar downstairs with free drink vouchers.

The only thing keeping this from five stars is the pigeon poop that covers the windows. Was the case when I stayed here last summer and the case just now Feb of 2026. The structures outside the windows attract pigeons and their poop is cover g every window AND IS GROSS! Management should arrange for window washers at least weekly. GROSS!

So many unfortunate situations occurred with this hotel during our first & only night stay which coincided with a family milestone celebration.

Rude, bias & blatant biasness act of macro aggression in front of other guests, child safety window hazard, fire hazard w/ damaged illuminated vanity mirror, splintered wood flooring surrounding bed, etc.

Charged facility fee but wasn't informed prior of rooftop scheduled private event, no access to hotel guests even after 9pm, closure for outside garden despite warmer weather upper 50's °F, no gym, no laundry room.

Very disappointed to say in the least, wasn't able to get the accurate or legit contact information for the actual hotel hotelier from the Hotel Alameda Highline due to their DOO.

Note: Shared all of these issues with Expedia via photos & video clip, who aside from Hotel Alameda Highline were apologetic.

The room looked nothing like the pictures, & was was neglected due to the fact of the lack of dusting on shelves. Took hours for the room to heat up. The staff was cool.
This was not the pleasurable experience I was looking for & will never come back here.

The bed is a foam mattress laid on the floor that is around 1 feet high but with the body weight goes to around 6 inches, so, i had serious problems to getting up (nothing to grab as support). If you are not fit, this is not a Hotel for you. The room does not have sound mitigation, you can hear the doors of other rooms, when slapping doors and sounds of things being moved on the upper room.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I must say, it’s located in a fantastic area that is very quiet, making it a perfect retreat. The rooms are truly amazing and impeccably clean. I loved the modern style of the room, which added a nice touch to my stay. It’s an excellent place to relax and spend the night.

However, I do have one significant complaint: the fire alarms went off all night long during my stay. It was quite disruptive, and unfortunately, there was no complimentary offer or even an apology from the management. It seems like this might be a new trend in how businesses operate, which is disappointing.

Overall, while the hotel has great potential with its location and room quality, the experience was marred by the alarm issue. I hope they can address this in the future.

Ozge was so kind!!!! During check in, she explained everything so well. She let us choose between lower or higher level floor!! Thank you for everything!! The hotel was always clean, I enjoyed the complimentary coffee/water/sparkling water! We were always greeted by the receptionist. Had a fire alarm go off Saturday night, but we were assured it was just a false alarm. Location is great.

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my stay. I went to check out of hotel and I was on 7th floor. The fire alarm went off briefly in my room. I leave my room to check out and the elevators were not working. I waited over 10 minutes and then called front desk. I explained and the woman hung up or disconnected me. I called back and another woman said they were testing systems. She said they woukd get elevator working...I waited another 10-15 minutes at elevator and still not working. I am 60 years old and I had to carry all of my luggage down 7 stories. When I got to the street level door it woukd not open. I then had to go down to the basement and walked around to find someone to help me. I finally found someone who let me out at street level.
I had to re-enter front door of hotel to check out...I was so angry and all I got was an \"I am sorry \"
I will never stay there again. I will put this review on all of the travel sites too.
Also, very few channels on TV worked and the thermostat did not work...and the wall to room next door sounds like it is paper thin.
Also, I tried for 2 nights to redeem my \"free cocktail\" voucher and the bartender never approached me...i was the only one sitting at bar. After 20 minutes i left. On the 3rd night, i was able to redeem it but still had to wait 15 minutes and I was the only one sitting there.

BEWARE... SCAM HOTEL! I was scheduled to check in late after an event, so I did the right thing and called the hotel earlier that day to let them know. The person on the phone assured me it wasn’t a problem and that they would make a note on my reservation.

When I checked in late that night, everything seemed fine. But later that week, I noticed an extra $268 charge on my card. When I called to ask about it, I was told it was a “No Show Charge.” This made absolutely no sense since I physically checked in and stayed at the hotel, and nowhere on their website do they mention such a policy.

After multiple days and repeated calls, I finally spoke to a manager who agreed to issue a refund. However, even then, they only reimbursed me part of the amount instead of the full charge.

This feels like a deliberate scam tactic... charging guests hidden fees after their stay, then refusing to return the full amount even after proof is provided. It’s dishonest and unprofessional.

⚠️ Highly recommend avoiding this hotel and booking elsewhere. There are plenty of other options that don’t resort to shady practices like this.

The standard room felt quite small and lacked sufficient space to move around comfortably. The hallways were also dimly lit, creating a rather gloomy atmosphere reminiscent of a horror street. The hotel has a minimalist \"coolness\" to it, but nothing quite works. The room and bathrooms are small. The bathroom sink is too small to comfortably wash your face. The bathroom ledge is too skinny to hold a toiletry bag without it falling off. The bed and pillows are hard. The elevators smell like b.o. and the floors of the lobby are dirty.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very kind and professional. The bar on the rooftop offers great cocktails. The bartenders very friendly. My room was spacious modern and clean, and I love the hotel is in close proximity to the Highline Patk. Zaha Hadid’s building is also right across the street, which is beautiful to look at from the Hotel rooftop.

The room was small, but stylish with floor to ceiling windows. But it seems like they opened before they were ready. There are no USB connections; most of the equipment in the room seemed 30-years old. As did the halls and elevator. The bed is comfortable but only about a foot off the ground on a wood platform that I kept bumping into. Cool lobby; nice vibe.

NO A/C!! When I arrived they told me about the A/C and left me no alternative. I guess the building systems are 30 years old too.

While the staff was very friendly and accommodating, I believe the photos didn’t properly capture what the room looked liked like. The room was smaller in person and felt like it wasn’t originally intended to be a hotel. The shower extended into the room and individuals showering could be seen by people in the bedroom. Additionally there was no proper counter space and only a small ledge by the sink. The sink was also quite shallow so water would splash while using it. Location wise it was very good, however, be aware that the space is smaller than depicted and has a less ideal bathroom set up.

Stayed here for one night because of its location to the Peloton Studios.

I was with another woman (friends not a couple) and booked a twin/double room expecting twin beds. Upon checking in, was told that room type did not exist. So we shared a bed. It was fine for one night. Expedia needs to change the description.

However, if you have the light on in the bathroom, the person on the other side of the wall can see into the shower. So we showered (separately) in the dark. A really bad design feature.

The bed is a mattress on a platform and it was comfortable enough.

The tub shower was so deep it was hard to get into. And for some odd reason the shelf with the towels on it was 6 inches from the ceiling. We had to climb on the toilet to get them.

The common areas are nice. Has a nice rooftop bar.

We refused to stay in after seeing the state of the property. Room was covered in cracks both on the walls and wooden fixtures. Stains on the floor near the need that looked like bodily fluids. SHOWER DID NOT HAVE COURTAINS AND POINTED AT THE BED FOR VIEWING! Absolutely disgusting. Now the place is trying to refuse a refund. Please somebody from Expedia contact me

I had a wonderful stay at this property in the heart of Chelsea, Manhattan. The location was incredibly convenient — close to everything I needed and surrounded by amazing food options, from casual bites to upscale dining and lots of art exhibitions!
