Room was clean but small (sold as a suite for people having longer stays) - literally nowhere to put the suitcase so we kept tripping over it. The Air Conditioning although very effective at keeping the room cool - it sounded like a small aircraft taking off - asked reception to take a look - said it was fine - so we had to sleep in 100' temps with no aircon as it was so noisy you could not sleep.

It's a typical case of a business run by accountants - they have forgotten it is about the experience - while they penny pinch and look for cost efficiency. They need to employ some Hoteliers and put the accountants back in their box.

The breakfast was average at best - the staff at breakfast were like zombies - said nothing - glazed stare - no smile - no hello - clearly not happy in their work. These are your biggest asset - look after them, manage and train them.

Conclusion. - I am sure you could book much worse. Great location if you can get past the plant sellers blocking the street with their wares. Great for subway - or walk to lots of major attractions. Breakfast will save you some money but average quality, staff are lacking some training and a smile. Avoid room 1310 with the industrial aircon!

Welcome to the flower district. Every morning the flower vendors line the sidewalk with plants, flowers and even trees. It’s very pretty but difficult to maneuver through.
Great location for us because we wanted to be on the 1 train which is at the corner.
Very small rooms but you do get a little kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, sink and all the utensils and dishes.
Elevators are very slow during the busy hours.
We skipped the crowded complimentary breakfast but got the coffee and walked up to the corner on 6th and got great bagels. Friendly staff and clean hotel .

Absolutely wonderful stay. The property was clean, comfortable, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Everything felt well managed, and the overall experience was smooth and relaxing.

The location is especially beautiful, right on the flower street, with a gorgeous view the moment you step out of the gate. It adds so much charm and makes the stay feel even more special.

A special thank-you to Walter, who truly made the experience exceptional. He was professional, friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. People like Walter are the reason guests remember a place and want to come back.

I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience.

Honestly great staff and was an all around fine experience, just don’t expect anything fantastic.

As an example, I got a room with a “king” bed. It was at best a queen sized bed. At checkout I mentioned it to make sure I wasn’t overpaying for a room I didn’t get, and the attendant said “yeah they’re just what the hotel considers a king - probably a queen actually.”

Rooms are small too but hey it’s NY, so no issue there.

Nothing horrible, nothing great. Fine hotel to stay at.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The room was clean, and both the check-in and check-out processes were quick and efficient. The room was on the smaller side, but considering this is New York City, the size was reasonable and expected.

My only criticism is the elevator situation during the morning hours. Since many guests are either heading out for the day or going to breakfast at the same time, the elevators become extremely crowded. Waiting for an elevator could take up to 20 minutes, which was frustrating and felt like a significant waste of time. Aside from that, the hotel provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

We loved everything about this hotel except for the elevators. While they're better than our last stay a few years ago, they are still a problem, especially when 1 or more of the 4 is out of service. Without the elevator issues I'd easily give this hotel 5 stars.

Breakfast was crowded but organized never waited longer than a few minutes. Most issues were with guests taking all the eggs 6+ at a time or the bananas. Elevators were slower at times but again not more than a few minutes. Room was small. Bathroom extremely small. But it was clean and comfortable. There's isn't much space for you you unpack. Tiny closet. Had to get creative since we stayed a week and had more than a weekend with of clothes. Nice location right next to subway 1 and a short walk to ask the others. We walked out used the subway the whole time. New Yorkers were friendly if asked for directions so that's a plus.

When we arrived, there was some complications with our room. The staff was not terribly friendly, a bit \"over it\" and very social with each other. When we got to our room, we noticed that the unopened soap on our sink was filled with hair dust, dirt and some something sticky. It made us feel like if that was missed, what else was. We asked 4 times with 4 different people to have someone come by and clean it up and replace. No-one did until the last time, we wait for a while and no-one knocked, but we found 2 soaps by our door the next morning. There was a pipe burst our first night with no communication, there were crazy lines for breakfast, and the elevators took over 5-10 minutes to come in the morning. We walked down 14 floors twice. The only saving grace was out check out rep was very sweet, they did hold our bags for a few hours. We will not be staying there again, sadly.

Good location. Reasonable price. Nice sized room with a kitchenette. Great that breakfast was included. The main challenge is that the hotel can’t really handle the number of guests in the two adjoining hotels. Long waits for the elevators and at times the breakfast space is way too crowded.

My pet peeve is with the back end staff. It takes at least 2 emails ( in my booking app) before I receive any reply. In the first instance, I had informed the hotel that I will be late checking in till the next day. It took a chaser before they said so long as my credit card was billed for the first night, they would hold the reservation. I was charged the first nite. When I arrived, reception could not find my reservation until I showed them my confirmation number. After 15 minutes, The manager agreed to complete my reservation based on the rate I had booked. BTW, when I asked what the J centre fee was at time of checkout, the staff couldn’t explain and merely said it was some kind of tax!! Then later during th day after checkout and on a flight home, I discovered I had left my earbuds on the bed as I had just charged them and had meant to pack into my luggage. I notified the hotel between 3-4 pm that day.Sent another chaser after 24 hours. 5 days later, still no reply. I had asked for a nil response if they couldn’t find it as I needed that confirmation for my insurance claim. I have other operational issues to highlight but have run out of space!!

Fantastic location near Madison Square Garden/Penn Station/Mounihan Train Hall. Decent small rooms at good price. Neat street packed with wholesale and retail flower markets and nursery. Worst thing is it’s 44 stories tall with 12 rooms/floor and 4 tiny elevators. Long waits and crowded elevators 8 am-10 am daily. Mediocre free breakfast included.

The shower don’t warm out quickly the water. On 14th floor room 12 we book why the cart for laundry is on the hallway, its not good in case emergency this is in the way. Also the doors loud (shutting on & off) during day & afternoon, i don’t know if this is the door on employee or for the staff for laundry, bcoz the cart of them is there. So hope they remove that in the hallways. But as much as staff so far all friendly & nice.

The breakfast selection was wonderful, the logistics of moving in the breakfast area to serve ourselves were challenging.
Room was very clean, the shower spacious and well supplied.
We were unable to get the dishwasher to work (and no directions were provided).
It was necessary to turn sideways to walk between the foot of the bed and the tv.

If you want to be near Chelsea and Broadway and are coming in on the train, this location can't be beat. The breakfast was servicable, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was decent size by Manhattan standards, and the fitness center was well-equipped. The only slight negative was that the elevators seemed outmatched by the number of guests and floors. But if you can be patient for an elevator, they do work just fine and this is a great place to stay.

Unfortunately didn't get to actually stay here because when I went to check in they said \"oh you didn't get our email?\" (I did not receive any emails from them) and they told me they didn't have a room for me and handed me a post-it note with an address for another hotel. I have also not been refunded for my trip like they said.
A lot of construction happening when I was there so hard to tell the space but lobby seemed very small.

Everything was excellent. The location is great, the place is very clean, and housekeeping is done every day. The staff is friendly, and they take care of your luggage after check-out for as long as you need. Although the room is small, it’s perfect for two people. My view wasn’t the best since it was facing the back of the building, but it still had good natural light and a decent view. The only thing that could be improved a bit is the elevator wait time, since there are very few and they are quite small only about 8 people can fit and there are only around three for such a large building.

An honest review if you’re traveling with a baby or toddler.

The rooms are very small. They do have cribs available which was great, but it barely fit. Throw in a stroller and a couple of suitcases and there’s hardly any room anywhere for anything, even with the kitchenette. The bathrooms are also very small and are showers only, making it difficult to bathe a baby.

Location was great. If you have a stroller, then doing the metro at Penn Station is your best bet because of elevators. The metro entrances and exits closest to the hotel don’t have elevators. We ended up doing mostly buses because of this.

AC was great.

Breakfast was great.

Elevators during breakfast time are a total nightmare. Sometimes waiting 15-20 minutes to get a lift. Earlier you go the better. There are 45 floors, so lots of people going up and down.

Staff was incredible and the bag check was great.

Many gluten free optiona for breakfast. Good opeiond for breakfast. They DO NOT have onsite oarking like your website says which is why i booked this site. I would like a manager to call me about this. My mom has a walker and we had to park down 2 blocks over. They would not compensate anything. Not even $10 a day so i could do valet parking with them. No happy about that. $10 a day would have been the difference in regular parking and valet. I even showed them your website where it shows \"on site\" parking. Manager out that night when we arrived was very aggitated with my concerns.

This is a hands-down one of the best options in the area. You are steps away from the 28th St Subway Station, you get a very decent fitness center and breakfast is included with real food, not just pre-packed muffins as you would in others with similar pricing.

I was a bit nervous about coming into this hotel, since I needed to be close enough to the Garden, have breakfast included, and the fitness center, so pricing was definitely going to be high in most cases. But this hotel DID NOT disappoint.

Plus, staff was super friendly and they even held a UPS delivery for me until EOD.

Would definitely come stay again and would most certainly recommend it.

This hotel is in a great area (close to lots of things, subway, restaurants etc. The staff was very courteous and helpful but the room was an issue (at least for us). It had almost a full kitchen: Stove top, microwave, cabinets, pots and pans etc and even a dishwasher! However there was no dresser or a closet to hang up nice clothes! (we were there for a wedding and had several dressy outfits). The kitchen took up all the space. This did not work for us as we had no desire to cook. We decided to change hotels and were issued a prorated refund but took a lot of red tape to get it and I was charged a substantial \"cancellation fee\" from hotels.com which seemed unfair because on the website, there was no mention of ZERO closet space. We had to take the items out of the kitchen cabinets for some of our clothes! I have been using hotels.com for many years and this was my first bad experience! I'll rethink using them in the future.

Perfect location, right next to a metro stop and located centrally which was great to have. Felt very safe, was very clean. Breakfast was fine, not as great as other hotel breakfasts in my experience but enough for a small bit before starting the day. Elevators would take awhile but we weren’t on too high of a floor so we would just take the stairs when going down. Staff was very helpful and we were able to leave our luggage before check in and after check out which was really nice.

The hotel is located in close proximity to Penn Station. Although the guest rooms are small, they are well-appointed and have everything needed to accommodate short or long stays. The hotel is a 46 story property serviced by four elevators, which can kind of make getting to or from your room a little more difficult at peak times.

Although the elevators were a little slow, taking the stairs down a few flights wasn't too bad. The fact that they have a little kitchenette in each room is phenomenal. I was able to cook my own food between tourist stops. For travel between the airport and hotel, ask them about their specific concierge service. Theirs was buttloads cheaper than the little kiosk near the front desk. I literally cannot say enough good about this motel. The continental breakfast was absolutely superior to anything I've ever experienced.

Great experience! Loved being able to check my luggage at check in and check out so we could enjoy the city without our bags the first and last days. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast that you’d expect and it was busy, but it was well run to keep things moving smoothly. Waiting for elevators and the busy-ness at breakfast wasn’t as rough as I anticipated based on prior reviews, but that could have to do with going in the off-season (early March). Room was very clean and the studio king with kitchenette had plenty of room for luggage. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location was absolutely perfect being right next to a subway stop on the 1 which was very convenient for exploring uptown or downtown. Overall great experience and have already booked for my next stay in NYC!

Did not realise that the staff did not book me in a city view (higher floors) per reservation. Beware of this!

I asked for a late check-out and then when I returned staff was cleaning the room! Luckily my pack was still there but my toiletries had been disposed of in the garbage and I was not going to retrieve them.

Overall the TownePlace Suites by Marriott is a great place to stay but I feel the staff messed up for me.

After checking out of the Hudson Yards Hotel that was actually a motel with sleazy vibes, this place was fantastic. The staff was very accommodating and professional with every interaction. I stayed on the 46th floor with fantastic views of the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden and the lights of Times Square. Room was small it clean and modern. Complimentary breakfast. In between 7th ave and Broadway train lines and buses? A few blocks from Herald Square.

I had an excellent stay! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for getting around Manhattan. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made everything smooth and stress-free. I also appreciated the amenities and how well-maintained the property was. I would definitely stay here
