We loved our stay at the Aloft in Chelsea. We normally stay at another hotel, but it was booked for the time we were there. The Aloft is definitely a new favorite! The room was comfy and our view couldn’t be beat. We highly recommend this hotel.

The room itself was fine. I didn't stay long enough to know much else about the property. I booked 2 nights but I left within a few hours of checking in the first day, because they were playing the Knicks game on the screens outside and inside the lobby, which attracted lots of public viewers and loiterers. It was chaos and it resulted in vandalism to the property. I had to leave because it didn't feel safe to be there.

The basic impression was very good. Very very good. The only two complaints were that the floor was a little bit sticky when I walked with my bare feet, and the shower floor was slippery. The room was great, everything worked fine, and I'd stay there again in a flash.

Convenient and clean and extremely walkable area too many neighborhoods, subways and restaurants nearby. This hotel was spacious for New York at an affordable price. The check-in and out process was quick and they are willing to store your luggage before and after your stay if need be so you don’t have to walk around with your luggage. They have a 24 hour snack and drink area downstairs; although they don’t have ice machines, they do bagged ice in that same area. We didn’t try the bar or breakfast, but it is always a nice option to have inside your hotel. The toiletries in the room were an excellent touch! They were all Dry Bar products. We would recommend and stay here again.

This hotel is very clean and functional. Another great part is the surrounding Chelsea flower market. Best smelling block in NYC! Staff is friendly, there are nice places to hang out, and ample snack bar. Good spot for tourist families.

Second time staying in this exact Aloft. Staff super friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed in a King room and a 2 queen room and both were equally nice, though the king room is super small. Good location in Chelsea - right at the 1 train, super close to the R and W and an easy walk to the Q. There is an outside patio area that we always enjoying hanging out in plus a bar inside.

The hotel was nice, comfortable and clean. The only complaint I have, the smell good that they use coming in the front door, lobby area was a bit much (if you had asthma, it would be a problem). Our room excellent but only had 1 chair to sit down in, we had room for 4 people. That was quiet annoying.

Great hotel located in the flower district. The area felt safe. Plenty to do nearby in Chelsea. Real close to Madison Square Garden and Empire State Building.

Room was on the smaller side but big enough for 2 people. Wish we had a better view as opposed to watching workers in the nearby building.

One of the best locations to be in. Within distance to MSG, Penn Station, Herald Square, KTown. Beautiful hotel, extremely modern and accessible. Has a lounge as well, and other amenities that would be perfect for guests of all ages. Rooms are perfect, the technology accessories like the TV and music system were top of the line. Overall one of the best Marriot properties at an affordable price and convenience. Would return to stay at this location undoubtedly.

Nice location. Most of amenities were new and convenient. However, there is a staff member who was not much helpful. He was not rude, nor willing to be helpful (we checked is 5/27/26 @ 4:41 pm, just in case who was at the front desk). He gave us only one key card even after I asked 2nd one. But, we were given 2 key cards when we switched the room on the next day.
The first room had a strong muddy smell from the bathroom, so we had to switch the room. The staffs told that they were bring our luggage to the new room once it is ready, but apparently they didn't. The 2nd room was way smaller than what we asked, but we were too tired to switch the room again. Then, we found a few stains on the bedsheet and the blanket. We never got a new sets while we were there.
The staff member who helped us checked out was very nice and helpful.
Please make sure ALL staff members are trained for a proper customer service. They cam at least answer the question or refer to someone instead of giving the customer attitude.

The great: staff were lovely, check in quick and easy, location is super, easy to everywhere.
The good: rooms were clean, beds comfy
The \"even better if\": rooms are small...even for NYC, there is nowhere to store anything which means in and out of your suitcases every day. If you're only staying 2 nights...this is no problem 5 nights...bit of a nuisance. This also means nowhere to air towels which results in new ones required each day...not great for sustainability. Last thing...bags can be left but there is a charge.

Very clean and conveniently located. 6 minute walk from penn station , very close to koreatown as well. Check in is at 4pm, but they were able to hold my luggage before check in. Room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and there were lots of storage spaces for luggage and clothes. I was traveling solo, I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are as well. About 50 minutes total trip from JFK if using public transit, but all the transit you need to use is the train from penn station to the airport train, so you're mostly traveling with other people who are also going to the airport, so getting all my luggage to the hotel wasn't an issue!

Our stay was definitely just OK. I though Aloft was a higher level brand than places like Fairfield, Springhill Suites, Hyatt Place, Best Western...but it's really not. The room was tiny and there is no desk/chair setup—if you are looking to WFH in your room, this is not the place for you. The king bed was comfortable, the big windows are nice with the city view, and the nightstands have tech plugs (very convenient). The coffee machine was old style; wasn't expecting Nespresso but at least a Keurig would have been nice. Towels were thin.

Location (Garden District) is excellent for getting everywhere. The 1 is at the end of the block, the N/R/E/C/M etc were all a block or two away. But for dinner or late night drinks, this neighborhood is not the place to go. Definitely quiet at night, though safe if you're getting back late.

Staff were all very nice and friendly. I requested a late checkout and they gave me till noon, which was perfect.

And in all the dozens and dozens of hotels I have ever stayed at, 3-5 stars, I have never until now been charged to hold my luggage! $3 for a backpack and $6 for a suitcase. Sure didn't feel like tipping on top of that :/

Would I stay again? Not likely. In this neighborhood I have stayed at other places that were much better.

This place is crazy expensive for no reason. Walls are thin. You can hear everything in next room and hallway.

When I tried to leave my luggage for an hour, they mentioned this would be a fee… never in my life have I seen a hotel try to charge you for leaving luggage when you’re already paying $400+ a night for a mediocre place.

No special amenities. Nothing special and not worth the price

The hotel is located centrally in a great area. You're close to subways, lots of things to eat, Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, Chelsea Market, and the High Line.

The bartender, Nirvaan, was so kind and made fantastic drinks. The beds are very comfortable, but the pillows are terrible. They are thin and hard. If you can get a higher-up view, I recommend that. We stayed on the 30th floor on the north side and had an incredible view.

The acoustics from the surrounding rooms are quite loud, so you can hear every time a door opens or shuts from another room (it sounds like a slam each time). The fitness center has the basics that you would need, but it smells terrible. I know most people won't workout on a trip but just be prepared!

Overall, I am not sure if I would stay here again purely because of the pillows. I love a good night's sleep, and I was woken up multiple times in the morning from hallway door noise. Everything else about the hotel was great, so if you don't care about pillows and you sleep soundly through noise, this will be a good fit!

Rooms are nice and modern but housekeeping knocking on your door when a do not disturb sign is on, the hotel trying to charge you extra for everything (like $6 per each suitcase you wish them to store when you check out), and complete lack of flexibility, etc. are not things that give you a good feeling or make you want to go back next time you’re around.

The location is great. The rooms are clean. Beware that if you are traveling with a friend and get a King room, there is no bathroom door and the shower is visible from the bed. Check in and check out were super easy. Only complaint is that you can hear everything like doors shutting, people talking in the hallway, people talking in the room next to you and even people talking on the street from the fifth floor. The fan does not drown out the noise.

Great hotel. Our family of four stayed for one week. Really appreciated the cleanliness/modern feel of the hotel/room and very comfy queen beds. Breakfast was a grab/go bag with yogurt, fruit, juice and a breakfast bar or croissant. No laundry on site but many options nearby. The location in Chelsea is super convenient to reach other spots in NY by foot, train or bus. Penn station is nearby for those traveling through EWR airport using the NJCL train.

Overall it was a great stay. I paid for city view and the view was very underwhelming for the 19th floor. My air conditioning was also not working. I had called to see if it could get fixed. I was told someone would come up to take a look at it and no one ever did. I had to open up the windows in order to get any form of air since the room was so hot. Very disappointed with how they handled that.

First of all, the location of this hotel is amazing. Few minutes from penn station and a subway right at 28th station about 300ft from the hotel.
The room was super clean and tidy, and staff are very friendly.

Theres breakfast that at convenience cost, everything looked okay, but we skipped it.

Definitely will come back again when we'll visit Manhattan again.

The room was clean, but there was no mini bar. There was no robes those were supposed to be in the room so that’s false advertisement for the free breakfast. You can only pick either a sandwich or a fruit you cannot have both no one came change the sheets there was only One towel and one cloth thank God I brought my own The room was very small. There was no restaurant like it said it was there was no free parking. It was valet and it was $85 a day. I wish I can get some of my money back being that I was there for three days. It was definitely advertised falsely.

Room was clean, never got vac'd -disappointing. It could use that from the moment we walked in, Check in was 4pm, we arrived about 6pm, our room was not ready. We waited an hour to get into our room. They should have offered us a gl of wine or an app while we waited. 2 gl of wine and 2 apps were $97.00 w/o tip, I'm talking Fritos with some chili on it. Nothing nice or fancy. We were hungry so it tasted good at the time. I don't recall what the 2nd app was. That good. :) Beds were soo comfortable, Room clean, Staff are wonderful. Breakfast was yogurt, a piece of fruit, a granola bar or a small damp muffin, a small container of oj. They hand you a little fit bag ea morning if you make it before 10am to get it. It comes in a small paper gift bag nice touch. Our Room, two queens - 2 of us, but up to 4 and one chair...one tiny table, could use some decorating. Not one picture. Needs to be set up for 4 not 1 Lighting could use one with a dimmer ... there is next to nowhere to put your stuff, we asked for a couple chairs, 2 folding chairs arrived. One went in the bathroom, a towel on it for toiletries. 3\" around the sink edge or the toilet is your only choices. A nice little frig and a safe, coffee maker, big TV, fast internet included. No closet. A metal rack with 5-6 wire hangers. In some ways it was really nice, the beds, the sheets, the comforter, the pillows, the view - in other ways some things felt and looked cheap. It's only 2 yrs old. Great Location.

I recently stayed at the Aloft Hotel in Chelsea, NYC, and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The front desk staff were consistently kind, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. Every interaction was pleasant, and they always made themselves available to assist with anything I needed. The cleaning staff were equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and thorough. Each time they serviced the room, it was left spotless and refreshed, which made coming back after a long day especially enjoyable.

I also happened to be staying during the blizzard, and the team was extremely accommodating during what could have been a very stressful time. They remained calm, supportive, and helpful, which truly made a difference. Their professionalism and warmth during such challenging weather conditions really stood out. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York City.
