I’ve been here twice as I travel a lot for work. The rooms are big and the area and front desk staff are wonderful. However, I’ve never witnessed a more bizarre cleaning service. I’m serious. Coffee pods but no cups, cups but no coffee, trash not thrown away but moved. One day I came home to one large towel and 6 washcloths. I honestly thought I was being punked. My final straw was I intentionally left the sugar from coffee on the area around the coffee maker for 3 days and no one wiped it up. I finally switched hotels and went to the Kixby (which was cheaper and amazing). It’s too bad because the front desk team is fantastic.

The room was clean but had the worst bathroom design I’ve ever experienced in a hotel - there was no countertop and the toilet was so close to the door I had to shimmy between the toilet & the door to be able to close it. It felt like a broom closet was later turned into a bathroom.

I had a wonderful stay at Cambria Hotel & Suites New York – Chelsea. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and very well located, but what truly made my experience special was the hospitality.
A big thank you to Johnathan and Chelsea for taking such great care of me. They were extremely helpful, kind, and professional, and they made sure I was given a really nice room. From check-in to my stay, everything felt smooth and welcoming because of them.
Their attention, warmth, and dedication to guest comfort truly reflect the high standards of this hotel. I genuinely felt valued and well looked after.
Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely choose Cambria Chelsea again on my next. visit to New York! 🌆✨

Stayed at the Cambria for 5 days for NYE. Check-in was easy, the elevators are clean and quick. We stayed in an accessible room. It was really nice. Bed was comfortable, pillows were perfect. The only issue we would complain about was the shower. The shower curtain didn't get close enough to the floor to keep water from going everywhere. We showered carefully and close to the corner. The water got all over the floor, all the way to the sink on the other side of the bathroom, and even outside of the bathroom from under the door. We had to get new towels every single day because the ones we had would be soaked from cleaning up all of the water. Aside from that, it was a great stay and we may stay there again if we come up for NYE 2026.

I had multiple problems with this stay - including housekeeping not coming all day until after 4 - we were out all day, then had to still stay out for housekeeping to clean the room.

They only left 3 towels for 4 of us. I called down to housekeeping - nobody answered. I called front desk, he said he would tell houskeeping right away. An hour passed, and nothing came. We called down to the front desk again - he was very rude and dismissive and said we called \"10 minutes ago\" (we didn't). He said to come down to the front desk if we REALLY needed it.

The next day they came at 9:00 and woke us up. We all left the room, went out for an hour, came back, and they still had not cleaned the room, even after us leaving and telling them we were leaving.

Similar to the next day - we went out all day and came back after 4 and the room was still not ready - had to leave and wait for them to finish. Very frustrating.

I asked for a quiet room, and was placed right by an ice machine that people used all throughout the night.

New Years Eve, my kids wanted to watch the ball drop on TV - the TV just stopped working at night and we were left with nothing to do. Apparently it is a common issue with the TV type.

There is no way to warm the shower up before getting in - the handle is at the far end of the shower with no way to move the handle beforehand.

This was an expensive stay - we used Choice Points and tacked on another stay through Hotels.com.  We expected far more.

I stayed at the Cambria Hotel Chelsea and unfortunately had a bad experience. The hotel room was dirty, with surfaces covered with dust and the in-room couch having a large stain on it. What's worse is that I accidentally left an article of clothing when I left and called later to have them check to see if it had been found by housekeeping. They told me to call back as housekeeping had left, but they would make a report. After calling back the next day I was told they would look into it and give me a call. After a day with no call, I called back and a woman told me she would personally look into it and call me back within 30-60min. She never called back. I called again the next day and the man who answered the phone was extremely rude and told me that if I hadn't heard anything by now, then the article of clothing was \"gone\". I called Choice Hotels customer service and the woman on the phone told me NO report had ever been filed regarding the lost property, despite Cambria staff telling me one had been filed. She then gave me the Hotel Manager's email to reach out for a resolution and he never replied. I get leaving an item is not the fault of the property, but the way the staff acted towards the situation is downright shady and poor customer service. I will avoid Choice Hotels in the future and if you are looking for a clean, honest hotel to stay at, I'd suggest you avoid this one.

My room was comfortable, the bed good and the AC worked well. The latter is often an issue for me as I like a cool room to sleep. It was quiet for the most part, except the doors of the other rooms tend to slam shut with a bang. I wish they served breakfast, but there are good options near by. I would stay there again.

Staff was very kind throughout our whole stay. The different areas in the hotel were all clean. You have access to a rooftop but during our time in November the bar area wasn’t open. There is a bar downstairs., in my opinion, should take advantage of the holiday and decorate the bar/coffee area it would give it a more inviting relaxing area. Happy hour was enticing but the vibe was boring so we didn’t take advantage of it. There was an ice machine on a floor and a place to fill water by the gym. We didn’t go down there to see. Our room had two double beds, good ac and the window propped a couple inches if you wanted fresh air. Room was clean and small but we fit three pieces of mid to large luggage so that’s an nyc bonus. Tv, coffee make and small fridge. Bathroom was a decent size but minimal area to sit things down but workable. Great water temp and pressure.
Area outside is the flower district and the subway is within 1-2 blocks so it worked out perfect. My only complaint, and it’s at alot of hotels, minimal accessible plugs in the room and the main one has 3 loose outlets that’s it doesn’t work. This is the one right by the bed. Also the phone is the room takes away from the room being so clean. The dated phones look gross/dirty although they may be clean. We would stay in this area and hotel again.

Couldn't really fault this place for a quick overnight stay: room was spacious for NYC, nice brew coffee in room, great location close to Penn Station and 28th for the red line. They kept the luggage the next day so we could explore the city. The bathroom a little on the small side, walk in shower, toiletries provided. I personally slept fine but my husband found the traffic noise too loud (horns beeping late in night and early next day).

A great location to explore New York from

A great hotel that is ideally situated to explore New York from. We loved walking down the street through the wholesale flower shops in the early morning. I liked that breakfast wasn't included so you could explore your own options. The rooftop bar was a great to watch the sun go down on the city, but as with all of New York, it was expensive.

Convenient location. Close to several subway lines. Located in the flower district, so streets are lined with plants and flowers.
👎: extremely small sink with an off-centered faucet & flat basin ledge so water constantly dripped onto the floor when washing up. Bed was comfortable but the bedding could be upgraded - pillows were a bit flat and hard, sheets were fine but only had a single regular type blanket.

Great hotel, great location, staff were incredible and overall I was blown away by this place.

If I had one criticism it would be there were only two lifts and you had to wait a couple of minutes for them occasionally. Otherwise in terms of location, staff and value for money you won’t beat this place. A real gem.
